Hotels with Swim-up Rooms in Cape Verde

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish, white party and neon party bot to be missed, so much variety of food and drink, friendly staff throughout the complex, swim up private pool is a must for future visits, stunning location, can't find any faults

Fantastic holiday ,we came for our honeymoon and a week of relaxing ,swim up room with sun for most of the day So quiet in the swim ups Will 100 per cent come again

We had the most amazing honeymoon so much so we have rebooked for next year’ The hotel food drink staff and facilities are excellent. If I had to give some feedback to improve it would be the food in the sports bar needs reviewing, didn’t affect us but wasn’t great. staff need to enforce the rules of no children at the swim up bar instead of overlooking. We had a great time and loved it defo worth the e yrs for the private pool x

We really enjoyed our time at this resort, so much so that we have already booked again for 2026. Good accommodation (Villa Room), great food, good selection of drink and a lovely environment in which to spend two weeks. Only improvement comments would be, availability of Sparkling wine in restaurants, not just the swim up bar and some upright chairs by the pool areas. Pool loungers not as comfortable as the beach loungers.

This Hotel and its facilities are mind blowing. Everything is available, optics in room, 2 swim up bars which are Amazing. Pools are so nice and big right next to the Beautiful Beach. The Restaurants and Bars are so upper class, you don't even need to go to the bar for a drink just sit down and the amazing friendly staff will serve you all day, just Amazing. I don't have enough time in a day to tell you how amazing this place is, my advise is to get Cape Verde Booked as it's a hidden gem and definitely go to Hotel Riu Palace as its the best Hotel on the Island Fact. NO STRESS

Very good central location to visit Mindelo and/or take ferry to other island. One of the only big hotels on the island. We had a room on 6th floor including a small private pool, awesome view over the port.

A very pleasant hotel run by Cape Verdeans, which is definitely a plus. The cleanliness around the pool area could be slightly improved. Breakfast was very good, although if you go towards the end of the service, some items may be missing. Location is great: 2 minutes walk to the ferry terminal and 6 minutes to the city center. We had an issue at the pool: the water suction vent pulled in my friend’s leg while she was naturally leaning against the edge enjoying the view, and she ended up with a large bruise. Another woman in the pool at the same time experienced the same problem, as it’s an area where anyone might rest during a swim. A warning sign or a repair is needed to avoid further accidents. Also, the hotel forgot to send the airport transfer to pick us up as arranged, but fortunately, the taxi was easy to find and inexpensive

This hotel is located at walking distance from the ferry to Santo Antao, If you need a bit of comfort and luxury, this is your place to stay. The hotel looks brand new, there is a chill out pool with bar on the roof terrace and another pool at the ground floor. But it is a hotel, you need to wear a bracelet and it felt like a resort to me. This accommodation is not really to be compared to the many guesthouses to be found in Mindelo. But if you look for something like a formal hotel, I can highly recommend the place. There was also a gym, a very nice breakfast in buffet style included, and I also received a free room upgrade upon arriving. The staff was formal but very friendly.

New facility, great amenities and ideal location. Enjoyed that there was a restaurant on site, as well as a bar on the ground level. And a rooftop pool and a pool on the ground floor made for a nice ambiance.

I loved everything about it. The rooms are spacious and with a lot of light. The location is perfect for me as it is in walking distance to the centre where you find all sorts of attractions and restaurants, and the beach of Laginha. I loved the top roof where breakfast is served with a small swimming pool and one can hang out and sunbath the whole day. The restaurant is also very good and served delicious fresh fish.

Excellent hotel, We felt very at home at this hotel. It was my birthday so "I requested a Decor and a cake when I booked and when I arrived they gave me a huge surprise because The decor, the customer service, the swimming pool and ocean front, Everything was exquisite, we would definitely stay here again. Staff are very friendly and professional. Room was very clean and cosy and bed was very comfy. Food in the restaurant was 1st class, compliments to the chefs and waiter's. Breakfast was great, couldn't ask for anything more. "I would highly recommend staying here.

The flats are dead drop gorgeous. Spacious, lovely furnishings, spectacular views. The reception communication was great and done via WhatsApp. They offered to buy us food and helped organise different transfers and turtle watching for us. The two swimming pools are ideal. The kid one is ideal for smaller kids and the bigger kids and adults.

I loved the beautiful minimalist design of the apartment, the peaceful atmosphere, the closeness to nature, and the stunning views of the sea and pools. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive special thanks to Erickson and Romizia for their warm hospitality. God willing I’ll be back!

We loved everything. The quiet location close to the fisherman village. The view was amazing. The staff is quick to respond and helpful. The apartment was amazing and had everything. The swimming pool was also great!

Stunning apartment with lots of space just up from a beautiful and quiet beach, but still pretty close to the hustle and bustle if you want it. The beach club on the beach serves decent food, and the staff is super friendly. The lady at the reception was also really friendly and helpful. The pool and the views are amazing. At the time of booking this, we couldn’t find any other place to stay on the island that is this stylish and at the same time still affordable!

We loved the location to the beach - a promenade to stroll along or jog if you were so inclined. We had booked a deluxe swim up level room which entitled us to our own lounge with snacks and a bar with all inclusive drinks. Also we were able to book (via the Level Lounge Reception Team) all of the other Meliá Hotels which were all walkable to the hotel we stayed in. All the staff were always very friendly and helpful.

Great stay. I arrived early in the morning and it was nice that they have courtesy showers and changing rooms. There are so many pools and outside lounge areas that you could always get a beach lounge. I don't drink alcohol, but it was so nice that when you went to a bar for water, they gave you a liter size bottle. Also nice to not have to carry money. Food was very good and no matter your dietary preference you will be able to find many choices. I especially liked the ice cream bar. For a more special dining experience, I highly recommend making reservations at their restaurant Casa Nostra. Although not in Santa Maria proper, they have a shuttle there or it is just a 5 minute cab ride. I would definitely stay here again.

I did like the pool area, and all the staff. I did not like the fact that having four restaurants and using only one at dinner, because one just serve snacks, the second one only with reservation (and just one reservation allowed) the third only for Level clients and finally the forth the one and only that we can use all inclusive.

Relaxing holiday with everything we required. The hotel had numerous pools with plenty of sunbeds or you could sunbathe on the beach but no drink service on the beach. The local town was 5 mins away and had plenty of watersports and its wasn't as windy as the resort.

The hotel, rooms, and area was really nice. Great pool area with a bar in the middle and great drinks. Food was great by british standards, absolutely ok by everyone elses. The personell where all really nice and helpfull and we (me and my wife who visited for our honeymoon) especially want to mention the bartender Domingos, and Charlene at the reception, who really helped make our stay wonderful. All in all a really great stay and hope to come back soon! Oh, and if you afford to stay there you afford to tip because those €uros make a bigger difference in the workers pockets than in ours. If you go to Santa Maria and not only want to eat at tourist traps both Cam's, and Georges, are great little restaurants with a genuine feel. Available in the area we did a personal tour of the island with Union Tours (our guide was Rony Monteiro and he was great, just remember to bring a few extra euros for entrance fees), jetski (with really nice instructors down by Bar Marley, a really nice reagge bar at the beach), and the Ziplinecabovervde that was really fun and also offered some live local funana-music that was awesome!

Beautiful, immaculate, big and comfortable room with all the amenities that you’d expect in a four star hotel: robe and slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste, shoe shine kit, lotion, shampoo, etc. I like that the hotel provided a free bottle of water in the room. The saltwater pool was amazing and so nice and relaxing as I watched the waves come ashore. Beautiful view from the pool and the outside patio space near the pool. Breeze restaurant had great food a la carte. I had the pleasure of eating there twice and the food was delicious., although a little bit expensive but well worth it.I didn’t get the change to have the free breakfast as I had a 1 AM flight. And the hotel staff are friendly and professional. The receptionist at front desk was able to let me check in earlier than 3 pm and it made me happy.

The Breakfast was 1 out 10 I WOULD GIVE IT A 20! The STAFF,cooks, chefs and the servers we very ALL well trained, friendly and efficient in BOTH restaurants along with ,housekeeping, pool and spa Claudio,Antonio along with ALL Front desk staff members were amazing . I started a list of members of your team that stood out it became to long to list. As a X MAUI MARRIOTT Banquet Maitre de I’m very impressed. This Hotel is right up to the Top with the luxury Hotels and resorts in Hawaii Aloha Sandra V🙏❤️🤙

Spacious hotel with clean room equipped with all amenities. Very good breakfast served at a terrace facing the Atlantic Ocean. The sea view and pool with salty water were just great. There is a Breeze bar which serves really good drinks and great seafood. The hotel is in an optimal location if you would like to explore Praia, the port, the lighthouse, and nearby beaches. The staff was really helpful and responsive. We spent 10 great days there!

Everything was great! The room was very comfortable and the ocean view (also overlooking the pool) was amazing. Breakfast had so much variety and products were good quality. Also special thanks to the staff who prepared a sweet surprise in our room after I informed them that it was our anniversary. They also let us check in two hours earlier than usual. Overall a very pleasant experience!

The location is superb and the room view is breathtaking. The staff is very welcoming and the pool is amazing as well..

A great small hotel which is extremely comfortable, and where they do everything right. Amazing staff, excellent management, good location within walking distance of plateau, and a very nice and relaxing breakfast on the top floor terrace. Very helpful with my transportation. Reasonably priced. They make guests feel welcome. My highest recommendation.

A great small hotel where they do everything right. Comfortable rooms, good facilities, a convenient location, excellent management, a kind staff, and reasonably priced. Breakfast on the top floor terrace is a pleasure indeed. I will always stay here when in Praia.

The location, not far from the airport and the Plateau is great. The room is comfortable and nice. The members of the hotel staff are just wonderful, super friendly and very helpful. Breakfast and dinner are served on the rooftop terrace.

Right from the start, we felt that the staff were particularly helpful, friendly and warm. This was amply confirmed when one of us had a medical emergency - everyone went out of their way to help.

As close to a custom boutique hotel as we felt in attention, care, and kindness - from management to staff -; priced competitively. Breakfast is special, outside esplanade cool too. Location perfect to move or stay.

Just returned from a 10 night stay at this lovely hotel. It was better than expected. Our room was nice and spotless the cleaner came every day and the beds were so comfy. The facilities are good with 3 swimming pools and a pool bar. The breakfast buffet is so good with lots to choose from and the dinner is good and love the idea of a set menu each night. Saturdays are the best it's bbq evening with a Cape Verdean night music and dancing. The beach club is amazing and the beach also right on the doorstep. Main street is 5 mins away. The staff are so friendly and customer service excellent. We will be back.

We loved the location of the hotel as it was by the sea with a quick walk into town. It's the oldest hotel in Santa Maria and full of character and charm. The grounds are spacious with plenty of swimming pool areas and lovely maintained gardens. The restaurants and bars were all well located with excellent food. There is a games room with a full sized snooker table , pool table, table tennis, TV for sports , crazy golf and tennis courts etc as well as many other activities which the hotel provides daily. There is also a gym for the energetic. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

The staff extraordinary . All at reception go well beyond the call of duty to assure your comfort . The kindness and courtesy priceless . Brilliant buffet breakfast : same every day , but enough variety that one can mix it up and have diff b’fast each day - if wish . Massage was delightful . Location , location , location ! Three pools to choose from : now it was the Windy season - chose my pool accordingly . Morabeza is the original , it is the oldest hotel on Sal . The architecture harks back to bygone eras , she is not the latest - greatest - shiniest - hippest place : she is an old lady with all her charms .

Absolutely loved everything about this hotel. We had previously stayed at the Odjo d'Agua and this is far superior in every way ! We were warmly greeted on arrival and advised we had been upgraded to a family suite, so in addition to the lounge had 2 bedrooms. It was spotlessly clean and had a substantial balcony overlooking the garden area. The breakfast was lovely, plenty to choose from the buffet and omlettes cooked to order. Both the Beach Club and the Bar were lovely areas to relax in we particularly enjoyed the evening "Happy Hour" Having 3 pools and lots of sunbeds meant it was never an issue finding a sunbed at any time of the day. Every member of staff we came across was polite and helpful. I understand whilst we were on the island there was an issue with water supplies and some hotels restricted not so the Morabeza as I understand it has its own desalination so self sufficient. Would we recommend....Absolutely in my opinion the best hotel on the island.

Very chilled hotel, right on the beach and one minute walk from the town and the pier. The staff is amazing, specially the reception, they changed our room from ground floor to first floor at my request and they were sooo helpful and kind…. Breakfast is good, plenty of loungers round the pool and the beach club excellent for lunch as well as the bar on the first floor where we enjoyed cocktails at happy hour. The rooms are very spacious and clean, the cleaners do an excellent job, I agree with some comments that they are a bit dated but frankly it didn’t spoil anything as we spent very little time in them, more on the balcony enjoying the views. I would love to come back y to o the Morabeza.

Absolutely everything! This hotel is perfect and worth the money. The whole experience goes beyond our expectations. The room, the comfort, the view, the facilities, the pool, the restaurants, the bar, the beach restaurant, the hotel beach, the breakfast and most importantly: the staff! Absolutely everyone working in this hotel with whom I spoke with is very nice, always with a smile and makes everything smooth and nice. Big hug to Doreen with the towels in the pool, Steve, Ricardo, Edi and the guys from the pool bar, Tiago and the staff from the beach bar, Patricia from customer relations and everyone else. I would risk to say this is the best hotel in Santa Maria.

Staff was absolutely AMAZING!! Everyone was always super nice and very helpful from reception, to breakfast, to pool bar and beach restaurant! Thank you so much!! The hotel is beautiful, full of green areas, huge pool, comfy sun beds. Food was alright, everything very overpriced but it’s Hilton and more than expected to be this way. The beach is just in front of the hotel, with white sand and water is warm. There is the water activities center on the beach where you can book diving, snorkeling, kitesurfing, water bikes, kayaking, SUP, etc. Staff was very nice there and can speak Portuguese, English, Spanish, French and Criolo. My friend is celiac and needed gluten free food, the hotel was great accommodating this, for breakfast she always had gluten free bread, croissants, cakes, etc; they French fries are done separately and they also had gluten free bread for burgers. You can easily walk to Santa Maria city through the walking area behind the beach, it’s about 10minutes, you will find a supermarket on the way too. You can also book the day trip to the island and the turtle night trip at the hotel reception (35€), if you book with people you find in the street it will cost 25€. We absolutely loved the week we spend at Hilton!

Lovely hotel with lovely staff in all areas. Cize bar has a lovely relaxed feel for your evening drinks.Good pool bar and beach bar doing nice food. Food in main hotel restaurant is buffet type but has plenty of choice. Our only complaint is not to do with the hotel itself, but with TUI. Who we travelled with. We didn’t see a TUI rep at all for any queries, nor did we have a contact number. However, fortunately the hotel staff sorted out any of our queries and needs. Sofia in reception was very helpful I booking a tour for us. Other staff also excellent, unfortunately can’t remember all their names. Marbella who welcomed us to breakfast each morning and Helman who looked after us in pool bar and then again in the Cize bar at night, both are worth a mention for being very attentive and looking after us. Thank you all.

We had an amazing stay at the Hilton Hotel. The facilities were excellent. The pool was a very good size and never felt too busy with plenty of sun loungers. The location was perfect, a short distance from town and right on the beach with free sun loungers for guests. The food at the buffet and pool bar was great quality with a very good selection and was reasonably priced. Entertainment was pleasant with different types of live music that was low key and elegant. There was a great selection at the breakfast buffet with plenty of seating and top notch service. In general the staff were very friendly. The room was spacious and clean with a large comfy bed and nice balcony and view.

I stayed for a week in early October. It was a wonderful time. The hotel is first class. The pool and poolside bar were a great joy to be beside. A short walk to the manned beach which gave a sense of safety and plenty of loungers. Food at breakfast was superb with an abundance of fresh fruit and very tasty sausage, eggs etc. Derik who helped at the breakfast was a first class chap and shared stories of Sal which enhanced his impeccable service. The beach bar in the evening served delicious local fish accompanied by fine Cape Verde wine. A relaxing break. The hotel local is perfect for a 15 minute stroll into the town. Thank you Hilton and thank you Derik.

Characterful, high quality accommodation in a converted colonial house in a quiet location in central Sao Filipe. Very comfortable rooms with nice sitting area around plunge pool in the court. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff.

The room was about perfect. It was clean, with nicely arranged furnishings. The rooms were nicely arranged around a small pool and courtyard area. The staff were friendly, helpful and always cheerful. The location was very nice, we ate at very good restaurants that were just minutes walk from the hotel. They packed a wonderful to go breakfast for our early morning flight. We would highly recommend The hotel Savana for your Sao Filipe stay.

Beautiful old villa in the best location in Sao Filipe. I was upgraded to the nicest room they have - it was very spacious and with breathtaking view over the sea and Brava island. Very pleasant staff, tasty breakfast and swimming pool. All of it for a decent price. Totally recommended!

Staff were excellent, very good at organising taxi guide etc. Pool was great. Good breakfast. Beautiful building and surroundings. Great location. Nice new AC unit.

Spacious rooms; good breakfast with outdoor seating by the pool. Very helpful staff. Central location for walking around San Filipe.

The bed & pillows were the comfiest we’ve had throughout our stay on 4 different islands in Cape Verde. The bathroom was great with a fab rain shower. The room was lovely with patio doors straight into the garden/pool area - pool just right to jump into & cool down. Everything seemed really clean. The buffet breakfast was also one of the best with so much choice & delicious fresh breads. We didn’t try the evening meals as we thought it was expensive, we ate locally (see my review on Bia bar restaurant). Most staff were very friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was clean and everything cleaned daily in room. The staff were fantastic,so friendly and helpful with everything you needed. The hotel had a sister hotel 5/10 mins away which had a lovely pool plus you could use their sunbeds on beach very near. The hotel was a 5/10 min walk into Santa Maria plus some restaurants really close by. We would highly recommend the Sobradi and it’s not overpriced. We left yesterday. Breakfast was perfectly adequate and set us up for the day

Can't speak highly enough of staff at this hotel. All very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is kept spotlessly clean. Food very good. Room comfortable. Gym was adequate for me, although the pool was tiny. The hotel is within 5 minutes walking distance from Santa Maria town centre and 10 minutes from the beach Overall, excellent value for money!

Personalen gillade jag, poolen kunde bli bättre dock

+ Very kind staff + Breakfast was good + Nice pool area with sun chairs + Beach, supermarket, main street (promenade) not too far away + Value/Money excellent

Amazing views from the terrace, lovely owner and staff, room was clean and set up as we requested. We also had access to a fridge. Loved eating and hanging out on the terrace. There's also a cute local cat. It's a sleepy, quiet road, no rowdy parties or neighbours. Breakfasts were plentiful and good variety, except would benefit from some token veg. Both beds were super comfy, with new mattresses. Walk into town is about 5-10 minutes downhill.

We booked a studio based on the pictures of the view - it was as good as we hoped. Sitting on our balcony looking at the wonderful view of Mindelo was great. Room was good too and the breakfast was excellent. Friendly, helpful staff. Bit of an uphill walk to get there, but the location was good and it was easy to get to the center of town by walking - cabs are inexpensive.

Really lovely place with the added bonus of a private balcony ( you need to book this) high on the hill above Mindelo, you reach the cooling breeze and have the added advantage of watching the sun set from your private space. Lovely breakfast, helpful staff and a central location within 10 minutes walking of the city centre. We are planning a return visit Thank you. Rachel and Malcolm.

Beautiful city and sea view from the balcony, clean suite, and nice breakfast. It's a little bit of a hike up from lower in the city but that is in part how you get the nice view and it's only 200 escudos (about 2 euros) if you want to take a taxi from where most restaurants and sights are.

Everything was perfect! Sonia and the staff were super nice, helpful and welcoming. The room was clean and fan on the ceiling helped a lot to sleep better as the weather was pretty humid. The breakfast was good as well. But the highlight is definetely the view: we loved to chill there with a drink or a book. Absolutely recommended!

Very good hotel. Calm and relaxed vibe like a quiet resort. Nice pool, good size, clean, comfortable temperature, but very salty. It's not a negative as everyone uses the pool in a relaxed manner to not get the salty water in their eyes. Towels are provided and beds are available. The hotel staff is very friendly and has a great level of service. The rooms are cleaned daily. The room had a good size and a nice bathroom with amenities. Comfortable beds. The hotel is in a nice and quiet location within walking distance from the lively Plateau. There are restaurants in the area, but the on-site restaurant is very well itself and food/drinks can be ordered throughout the day. The breakfast is included with plenty of choice. Other good things: Wi-Fi, fitness room and cleanliness all around. We had a great stay and would love to come back here.

Loved the saltwater pool, the lush greenery and the very decent scenic background music. Relaxing at the pool always felt very good. A huge array of fresh fruit and juices for breakfast! So delicious. The beds were very comfortable. I also liked the little sitting arrangement in front of my hotel door. The room always kept quite cool, even if the AC wasn't running. Taxis are available just outside the hotel. Alugueros and busses stop at the main road, just 3 minutes away. If you want a real beach, it's a five minutes walk. The food at the restaurant is extraordinary! I absolutely loved the grilled tuna and my brother really appreciated the braised pork ribs.

Staff is next level - especially Ana 💖❣️ Also the agency Hertz in the hotel extremely friendly and helpful Food is amazing Beds super comfortable and bih An amazing atmosphere Swimming pool = TOP Papayas woooow Wonderful stay 💫💫💫💫💫

Enjoyed the pool after a hectic day and travel from Sal. This was my second stay within the same week. I had to checkout at midnight for a 1am flight.

Restfull and relaxing environment- nice pool - friendly bar service and great bar snack menu Wilken at the reception desk was incredably helpful

We had a lovely stay, the ecolodge is beautifully situated in nature. While you have the privacy of your own little cabin, you can socialize with other guests at dinner or during the day in the restaurant area. The pool was nice and quiet. The food was delicious! You can tell they try not to waste any food and are mindful of energy and water use. The staff was really helpful.

La Fora was amazing - such an excellent set up in a beautiful location. The lodges were great and the bar/restaurant and pool areas were ideal for relaxing too (with the most beautiful sunset views!) Aaron pre-arranged a brilliant guide for the Pico de Fogo hike for me as well, which was also excellent. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to explore Fogo.

Very calm place, great restaurant and nice staff. Helped us with booking tours around the island and volcano. There are a lot more/bigger plants and trees than in the pictures here, which made the whole area even better. You are surrounded by the sounds of nature and can really kick back and relax by the pool or in the restaurant.

After a long tour of Cabo Verde, it good to relax in the high of Fogo. Swimming pool, nice campaign around. Very peace full. Very comfortable bed. Nice and cool place. Efficient team. Thank u every body.

Great place to sip cocktails by the pool. A great place to stay after hiking the volcano and just doing nothing. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The staff were friendly and helpful. They were all excellent. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows are comfortable. We had a seaview room with tv, fridge, safe, AC and wifi. The views from the 3rd floor restaurant and 7 the floor pool on the roof were fantastic. Breakfast buffet was good, as was dinner at the hotel. There is an ATM at the entrance and mini mart next door. It is a 10-15 min safe walk to the beaches and other restaurants. Sunscreen only available at the pharmacy which is a 15 min walk up the hill behind the hotel. It was 20-30 min to walk to the plateau or short taxi. The pool is not heated but is refreshing on a hot day. Sun chairs on the roof good.

This sleek business hotel near the central Plateau district lives up to its high reviews on Tripadvisor. Combine modern furnishings, tasteful minimalist decor, a delicious breakfast buffet with plenty of variety, strong A/C, and a beautiful outdoor pool and you have one of Praia’s most comfortable business hotels. The only downside? The walls in the rooms are bare with no wall art - there are beautiful artworks and photographs in the hallways and common areas, but the walls in the rooms are begging for decor. Other than this, the hotel was perfect! I’d recommend it in a heartbeat.

This is without a doubt one of the best hotel that I have stayed in anywhere and I travel twice a month for business. In a less developed country like Cape Verde it is truly a delight to come back to a top hotel with a great restaurant, a lovely pool, good room with a view of the bay and very friendly service. A win all around. They set us up with a very polite and very good driver, Silvio to take us around the Santiago island and that added to the enjoyment.

Perfect!!!!!!! I booked for my girlfriend's 30th birthday. They made our stay memorable. The staff decorated the room and believe once the door opened, we were surprised by the decorations they made for her. The dinner in the restaurant was really good and I suggest you to order "Atum grelhado", which was delicious. The hotel is beautiful and the swimming pool is calm and provides you a wonderful landscape over the city. There are many cabs around so the transportation is easy. Many thanks to everyone who made our stay special!! Kim & Alex

We spent our vacation in this hotel, exploring Praia capital. The hotel stuff was amazing, very helpfull, excellent breakfast. Hotel was always clean. Good speed wifi and perfectly working airconditioning and nice rooftop swiming pool. We can recomnend this hotel, it made our stay relaxing and comfortable.

The best place to stay in Maio - Matia and Mirko are excellent hosts, always helpful and very communicative and truly wanting to make sure you have a lovely stay! They went above and beyond to ensure we made it back in time for our flight and for that we are truly thankful! The facilities are the best in Maio, room is cozy, bed is comfortable, everything is very clean and AC works well. There's a good breakfast available and the restaurant is also very good. In addition to this, there are a lot of activities you can book directly and we had a great time with our rented car visiting Ilha do Maio. All in all, despite some issues with travel arrangements, we had a lovely experience in Maio and would highly recommend visiting and staying in Pensão Big Maio!

I like the location we got ocean view and else we enough space the room is big and comfortable once you inside the room y won’t wanna go outside because the tv is huge and I love a lot

Wonderful stay at big game- the hosts were very kind and welcoming. Matia, Mirko, and the team went above and beyond in their service and hospitality. Great good and best tiramisu in Cabo verde! Highly recommend

Location, food, Quad bike hire, staff and the personal attention of Mirko who is able to communicate in multiple languages, friendly local population ,stunning beaches ⛱️

The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Mirco. I would recommend this place to anyone who travels to Maio

We had a look at other Hotels and Apartments in the surrounding area. The Hotel O'djo D'agua is easily the Best all-around location. Starting with the excellent Breakfast and sitting area. The Atlantic mere meters-away. The Breakfast Staff were hard-working and great. I don't know the Breakfast Managers name, but the gentleman was super cool and attentive. Excellent fellow. Two excellent swimming pools are adjacent, with a fully-equipped Snack Bar. Excellent food and adult beverages. Just beyond that, the beach starts. Lounge chairs under palm trees here. They charge a few euro's for the Lounge chairs. I assume it is because off-site folk try and take these chairs. The beach is perfect for swimming. The main shopping, dining, and party streets are a short walk away. Perfect. We had so much fun staying here!

Everything was Great. Friendly and helpful Staff. Breakfast with great food from C.V islands. The lobby and reception decorations with Antiques pieces and tools is Fantastic. The private Beach right next to the wonderful Pool by the ocean it's really Nice and Comfy. Live music by the Restaurant in the Evening 👏 There's lots of places and things to explore @ Odjo D'Água. I will definitely come back and spend more time there to enjoy even more 👏🤗

Great value for money especially given its very central location to the town of Santa Maria :-). Breakfast is perfect and could not be in a better setting over the beach with the waves crashing. It has two pools and pretty much its own beach plus the restaurant overlooking it all for breakfast lunch or dinner.

Simply wonderful! I even extended my stay. A special bravo to the amazing staff. Excellent location, great rooms, clean and comfortable, music nights at the hotel restaurant and music and dance shows at the beach/swimming pool restaurant, good breakfast, very helpful and pleasant staff ... An amazing place to relax.

The property has an enchanting atmosphere enhanced by its beautifully classic design and an opened layout, with well distributed places, making it easy to move around without getting tired. And of course having an infinity pool by the sea.

It is situated near the trails and beautiful valleys, in the green part of the island. The view from the room and the terrace was perfect and you wake up each morning with the sound of the vawes. Breakfast was really nice, always with the fresh fruit. Wifi was a bit shaky in the room, but on the terrace and in the restaurant downstairs was good. The host, Liana, is very friendy and helpful and she makes the best home made pasta and appetizers on the island. I would definitely recommend Black Mamba to everyone visiting Santo Antao.

Everything about this place is fantastic. Liana and her staff were charming and helpful, the food was delicious, beer was cold, the facilities are great, location is close to perfect and even the cat was pretty cool. I called it home for 3 nights and would have gladly stayed longer if I could have. They also accept credit cards for a small fee (convenient and not common in CV). You can walk to town in 5 minutes. Liana will suggest excellent hikes that are not commonly known, as well as good spots to eat and drink.

Staying at Black Mamba was such a great choice! I was traveling with my mother and sister and we absolutely had the best time there. The owner and staff are so welcoming and warm, they made us feel right at home! Also, the food is great and the location is also a plus. It is close to Vale do Paul and very easy catch the colectivos to other parts of the island. We definitely recommend staying here.

Black Mamba in Paúl, Santo Antão, deserves a solid 10! The room was comfortable, beautifully decorated, and offered the soothing sound of the ocean—a perfect touch of tranquility. The venue is impeccably clean, conveniently located, and the staff are kind and attentive, making the stay even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a peaceful and well-cared-for place to stay in Paúl, Black Mamba is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!

This place is a must stay in Santo Antao. Great for solo hikers or groups. The host Liana is LOVELY and will make you feel right at home straight away, she helped me plan hikes that I'll never forget!! They also make amazing homemade Italian food whilst you're there i.e. Pizza, ravioli etc. Room was brilliant too, I slept very well in my double bed with en suite!

Porto Antigo is several building of apartments in a well located area of Santa Maria, with security, reception open until late, and a private pool overseeing a bay protected from the waves where you can swim all time. The apartment I had assigned was marvellous, always kept very clean, and quiet. The staff of Porto Antigo was very helpful at all time, supporting me on all requests, and even overcoming and helping me with any issue I could have. I would definitely choose it again!

Porto Antigo is a really beautiful Hotel! Our apartment had direct access to a small beach! This was perfect four the kids. The pool is also very nice an close to the pool there is another small beach without stones our rocks in the water...also perfect four children!! The apartment was perfectly clean and you have the basic equipment for cooking!! We spent a really good time in Porto Antigo and I will definitely come another time when I go to Sal.

The location is perfect and the pool and the beach area! We were so pleased. We didn't except it to be so perfect. The price was very good, location great, the atmosphere is perfect and there are actually equipment to cook food (and a coffee machine). Supermarkets are around the corner, beach is right infront of the room and there were always free sundbeds at the beach or by the pool. It was great.

Fabulous small and friendly local feel hotel with beautiful tropical flowers and plants all around the grounds. Our 1 bedroom apartment was comfortable, clean and had good kitchen facilities. The pool area is very relaxing with stunning sea views and easy access to the beach. The hotel is right in Sal centre nearby to the local restaurants and bars and is perfectly located for an evening stroll. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The half board option was very good value; at the time we went it included a buffet breakfast with lots of options including hot and cold options, freshly made omelettes and pancakes and at night there was a set menu including one drink, your main and a dessert to choose from. There were traditional hotel options as well as local dishes to choose from. The front of house team and restaurant chefs were very friendly and attentive. We had a lovely holiday and hope to be back sometime in the future!

Lovely apartment looking over the sea. Very clean and well appointed. When I had a question, facility manager was there in minutes. Very relaxing place with a great pool and also beach access. Very friendly staff. A minute walk into the centre of Santa Maria and all the amenities.

Our stay was excellent. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. Housekeeping and cleanliness of the room was very good. The gardens are beautifully kept. The area around the pool was spotless. The location is fabulous, close to town and right on the beach. The hotel is quietly luxurious, elegant and very charming. It’s gorgeously relaxing - no loud music or pool activities - but you can learn a few words of Creole, how to play Uril and Petanque, and there is live local music in the bar a few nights per week. Guest services can help with anything and everything.

This is a very good hotel. But not as good as it should be. Many details were never explained to me when I checked in. For example: there was supposed to be a welcome drink/meeting the following morning, this was not mentioned to me. I found out days later and it would have been very helpful to me if I had known about it. As a result, several things were a mystery to me: The restaurants - I showed up at the downstairs restaurant for their buffet dinner on Saturday evening. I was told all the tables were reserved and there was no table for me. Someone else had earlier told me that reservations were not required, so I just showed up. This also happened two days later. I also wondered about towels - I had a green towel but I noticed most people had blue towels. As a result I was afraid to use the main pool and bar area because I didn't see any green towels. I went to ask about it and was told the green towel was actually a higher class and I could go anywhere. Who knew? Certainly I was never told and felt banished to the distant 600 block pool area. So...many, many strange details and lack of communications.. Perhaps a language barrier? Great hotel, not so great management I would say. Several waiting staff were also less than friendly or helpful. This hotel does the have the best location on the beach. The town area is somewhat sketchy, especially at night. Many aggressive sellers of all commodities.

It was our first visit to Cabo Verde and, thanks to the incredible hotel Morabeza, we spent an unforgettable week so it won't be the last time. From checking in until checking out the service was friendly, discrete and swift. The location of the hotel can be described as triple A: central and yet quiet. We tried everything: the restaurant, the beach club, the pool bar and the bar on the first floor: all very pleasant with impeccable service and quality food/drinks. To make a long story short: Morabeza is the best place on Sal for a relaxed and stressfree beach holiday!

The Morabeza is a haven of peace and tranquility; it is not for those who like a hectic life! They do not have swimming pools with big water chutes, play load music all day or have an endless list of activities. It is for those who have travelled for real relaxation - we couldn't believe how wonderfully quiet it is! The staff move quietly through the hotel and grounds, politely respectful. The rooms are very quiet thus ensuring good sleep and privacy. It is a wonderful hotel and it comes highly recommended by ourselves - thank you Morabeza for being what you are
