Mara and Roberto have a wonderful holiday home and it was lovely to meet them. The apartment and grounds are meticulously looked after and in great condition. As a family we enjoyed taking trips in the car and found it a good base. Our children loved the swimming pool for the afternoon heat! The apartment and grounds exceeded our expectations. Lago Maggiore is so chilled!

Hotel del Luna is a good find for smart travelers. On the main strip of hotels facing the lake, yet down the street far enough not to be pretentious. It is located steps from the ferry, and an easy walk to anything in town including grocery store (Conad, Carefour Express), restaurants, parking, and the boardwalk. The train station is a good 20 minutes walk, but safe and doable, even with luggage. Parking is plenty on both sides of the street, and a informal lot next to the small wharf. There is also paid parking at the ferry station. There is a gas station under the hotel (yes, the advertising picture is photoshopped), but it doesn’t distract, and may be convenient. The hotel itself is meticulous, and well cared for. The staff is excellent, helpful, and answered all my questions. They were thoughtful to give us a night key to enter the property after they were gone fore the night. The room we stayed in had a full kitchenette with all amenities and dishes, stove, kettle, pots, sink, microwave, fridge, and even dishwasher. It had sleeping for four, and a balcony with a view. By far, the breakfast was the best experience here. A little expensive, but luxurious, with a view to the lake, sitting outside! The preparation was nice with it being personally made and brought to your table (rather than buffet style, as in many hotels). The dining terrace was meticulously landscaped to complete the experience! Well worth the price.

My wife and I were made to feel so welcome from the minute we arrived at the hotel. I was keen to see Scotland’s World Cup rugby international but we were hungry! Carlo found the game on a channel on the tv in the bar and served us some lovely snacks to accompany our wine!! As a first impression difficult to beat and so it continued throughout our stay. Carlo and his staff were so helpful and friendly, nothing too much for them. Our room/suite was fantastic with everything you could need and the Italian breakfast was incredibly reasonable and a really good way to start the day. Our view over the Lake from our room and balcony was stunning and all facilities and amenities in Stresa just a few minutes walk from the hotel. We had an amazing holiday and much of it was due to La Luna Nel Porto and all associated with it. Fair to say, too, that there is a really good selection of fine restaurants within a few minutes walk. I can’t recommend the hotel highly enough👍

Probably the best stay we had travelling around Europe over 2+ weeks. Not an overly expensive hotel so expectations not thinking 5 star but……. and the only downside was parking. Arrived on a busy Sunday and struggled to park. Eventually found a spot for the night, got up next morning before 8 and found a free spot right outside the hotel. Now the really good bits. Location is perfect, ideal for the Old Town eateries/shops/supermarket/trains and right across the road from the Ferry Port. Staff and room maids could not be more helpful. Our room a side sea view(room 104) had a large terrace with a 180 degree view of Stressa with table and chairs/deck chairs and a hammock. We went out for breakfast and evening meal and used the kitchen area for occasional lunch from the supermarket. Quite a few guests stayed for breakfast which looked great. We took several trips out including bus train and the ferries. Would not hesitate to stay here again and really enjoyed Stresa as base on Lake Maggiore.

Our suite was large, bright & comfy, our terrace had a wonderful view of the lake & mountains & we could have spent all day watching the scenery. It was great to wake up & look at the lake from our beds. Breakfast was lovely, we had the cosy breakfast for 1 on our first morning but opted for the Italian breakfast for the remainder of our stay, which was lovely, fresh croissants & pastries & fresh orange juice which we enjoyed popping into the juicer. Alessia, Caterina & Elena worked hard making us feel welcome, nothing was too much trouble & they were all so friendly. Caterina worked hard booking our train tickets for the Centrovalle Railway, which wasn’t easy to do & a big thank you to her for all her efforts, we had a great time & would recommend this trip. Thank you for a truly memorable stay, both mum & I thoroughly enjoyed it.

We absolutely loved this beautiful hotel after a busy, hot two and a half weeks in Spain. Everything was perfect from the lovely people at reception, the spacious, beautiful one bedroom apartment with views across the lake to the welcome wine and water bottles. As well as a large lounge, kitchen area and large bedroom we also had a large bathroom and a second large toilet and basin area-fantastic! Thank you to this beautiful hotel and staff for an excellent three-night stay. The hotel is close to the harbour for boats to the islands, shops, restaurants, and the Parco Pallavicino gorgeous zoo, park and villa next door. A beautiful hike up to the villages behind Stresa begins just behind the hotel. Staff will do anything to help you and the continental breakfast is great value.

Everything was great. The hosts, Alberto and Simona, are gracious and helpful. They made us feel very welcome and addressed needs we had during the stay, including helping with difficult tour reservations nearby. We traveled with our family and needed three rooms. Each room was perfect for the ones in it. Th rooms are well apportioned and spacious. The view of Lake Maggiore is fabulous from the rooms. One of our group has young kids and there were a lot of activities right at the hotel, like a pool and ping-pong. In addition, the hosts really made the kids feel at home. One of the kids said that stay was his favorite part of the trip. The food was great and, surprisingly affordable. We had breakfast there twice, lunch twice, and dinner four times. The menu has a lot of variety so most of us didn't have the same thing twice, except the young ones, who loved the chicken strips (so did the adults that sampled them). The property is beautiful, with a wide variety of plants and trees. Travel to nearby sites is convenient.

Simona and Alberto made our stay so tremendously special. The hospitality was impeccable. In all of my trips to Europe, this stay was the best. From the views to the “bed and breakfast” feel opposed to the hustle and bustle that you get from hotels, it was serene, peaceful and very cozy. We had access to the hot tub and pool overlooking the beautiful lake. A gym is made available as well. Breakfast/dinner very delicious. Simona was always available to assist us with regards to transportation. We will most certainly return. If anyone is considering stresa, skip it and come to Belgirate for a more enjoyable experience.

Wow wow wow. We adored this property. It’s enormous with gorgeous trees and plants everywhere. There is a small pool and terraces to linger on or soak in the sun. And they have a restaurant and bar on site with a beautiful terrace overlooking the lake. The rooms are colorful and stylish. The hosts are so kind and warm and welcoming. I’d come back in a heartbeat!

The views of Lake Maggiore were spectacular from the room and balcony. Our room was a suite with a balcony and large bathroom with double sinks. Breakfast was buffet with savory (eggs/omelet) or sweet options included. The staff/owners were wonderful and took great care. We'll be back in warmer weather to enjoy the pool and lakeside!!

The hotel has all the needed facilities, and an elevator to the room! The owners, Simona and Alberto, where great in hospitality and the food in the restaurant was very good. The pool is small but the is sufficient for children. The view is gorgeous.

This is a luxury hotel in every sense of the word. We had a lake view room on the top floor which was beautiful. The room and bathroom were a really good size and the hotel itself is like stepping back in time. We used the outdoor pool which has a lovely bar/restaurant next to it, as well as the indoor pool with superb spa rooms (sauna/steam room, etc). One of the best indoor pools I've experienced. Gym was great too if that's your thing. Will definitely return.

The building and grounds are extraordinary. The spa and indoor pool are very luxurious and a nice option when the weather doesn't allow for using the outdoor pool. The staff had very kindly provided additional softer pillows.

Gorgeous charming hotel in a great location. Beautifully remodeled bathroom. Fantastic balcony overlooking Lago Maggiore. Staff was super and the spa/pools were amazing. Salt water pool was very enjoyable. The Hemmingway bar was a classic!

The breakfast Buffet was exceptional, the pool outstanding, the pool restaurant relaxed, exactly what one would want. The main restaurant deserves Michelin stars.

This is a wonderful small hotel right on the Lago Maggiore shore. There's a spacious sun terrace, plunge pool/ jacuzzi and a direct access to the lake. Our triple room was spacious, with a nice patio overlooking the lake. The hotel staff are wonderful - very friendly and helpful. Parking is plentiful as well - both outdoor and in the garage.

modern clean room with a nice shower and a balcony. It feels like a intimate hotel with a small restaurant and a bar that is open all day/night. The small plunge pool on the terrace is realy nice and has an amazing view and ample lounge chairs. There is also a dock you can swim from and more lounges down next to the lake. There is parking (small underground) as well as a small lot next door. Breakfast was nice. I really liked this hotel and would stay here again. Would recommend having a car as its a bit out of the main areas but we liked being able to drive over to the other villages to eat and explore.

Relaxing stay, friendly staff, great pool, right by the lake. Lovely breakfast on the terrace overlooking the lake. we stayed 2 nights and had a lovely meal a short walk from the hotel.

This hotel is a little gem. Very clean, light modern rooms, well designed with an extremely functional bathroom and comfortable bed. Lovely soft linen and towels. Cute little balcony with view. Air Con worked really well. Family run, such nice people & couldn't do enough for us. Excellent breakfast, replenished regularly. Used the ferries, the bus and the trains over 4 days. 2 x stations in town. Hotel is less than 100m to lake & ferry, large supermarket around the corner, laundry in the next street. The town is a little stunner and we so enjoyed our visit. Hope we can one day visit again. Thank you Hotel del Conte.

Wonderful hotel in the small town of Laveno. Ideally located in the town centre, close to all facilities (train station, restaurants, gelato bar, supermarket, shops, lago Maggiore). Most rooms have a little balcony with view on the lake which is superb to enjoy a good glass off wine. The hotel interior is modern, of good quality with taste. The staff is lovely a real pleasure to interact with, they will do their utmost best to make your stay enjoyable. Breakfast is what it should be, not excessive but has a decent variety and above all of excellent quality. Definitely a good choice, we did not regret it one bit

The hotel was very comfortable and clean. The staff were really helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent with a really good selection. The location was so convenient just opposite the ferry terminal and the train station. The Lungolago for an evening promenade and a selection of bars and restaurants was just across the road. We had a view of the lake from our room and balcony. We found the hotel to he an excellent base for exploring the area.

Hôtel superbe, idéalement situé prêt de l'embarcadère emmenant à Intra. Le personnel est très accueillant et souriant, notre séjour s'est parfaitement déroulé et nous avons été très satisfait de notre séjour au sein de ce très jolie hôtel. Laveno est une ville reposante et agréable, bien plus atypique que Stresa ou Baveno qui sont des villes bien plus touristiques. Nous vous recommandons vivement cet hôtel et cette ville!

The hotel is modern and really well located in Laveno opposite the ferry and railway station . The staff were really friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome, Georgia even gave us a lift to a local restaurant when we couldn’t find a taxi which was so nice. Breakfast is very good, overall the hotel was fantastic for our short stay in Laveno!

What a gorgeous escape and magical place, tucked away on an Italian island. The ferry was fun, even in the rain, and it was a great adventure with my parents, who have stayed here a few times. I paid less than they did, so they had a fantastic corner view of the lake room, which I recommend. My room was comfortable, clean, and private, and the bathroom was spacious, unlike others I encountered during my trip. I truly enjoyed the three nights here, and the local shops/kiosks and meandering streets/paths are delightful. The restaurant at the hotel is a gem: our fish dishes were so yummy, and the service was good. This is perfect for a special occasion. +I wanted to buy and eat everything!

Our very first hotel stay on our italy trip. A lovely hotel on a tiny island with a very good restaurant. Staff were very pleasent, the room was so quiet except when open to the balcony...the sound of lapping waves...so relaxing. It poured while we were there so we weren't in a rush to get out and about. The rain stopped in the afternoon so we ventured out. It felt like we had the whole island to ourselves. Not much open, but the weather made for a dramatic backdop. We got to see the mountains appearing through the clouds as we were leaving. The hotel was a perfect first stop on our journey.

Excellent boutique hotel! Loved the rooms they are updated and clean and feel luxurious for a very reasonably priced hotel on a beautiful island! We appreciated breakfast and the breakfast service as well as lovely views. I painted while on the island and ran out of white paint and the owner Paco was kind enough to get it for us from Verbania! I was really touched with the gesture. Highly recommend this place and we’re definitely coming back to Hotel Belvedere if we return to the Lake District!

Laggio Masore on Isola dei Pescatori has truly become our little oasis of well-being. The atmosphere is unique – peaceful, charming, and full of character. Everything is made with so much love for detail, and we immediately felt at home. The hosts are warm and welcoming, the food is excellent, and the whole place has a special magic. It’s the perfect spot to relax and recharge. We can’t wait to come back to our oasis on the island!

Amazing location. We stayed only one night as the hotel was fully booked on the second night. But we would love to come back and stay for 3 nights. The only downside is that you can’t take a car with you so either travel without a car or leave your car in Stresa. We did the latter and left the luggage in the boot. It was all fine when we returned thank goodness.

The hotel has a lovely garden and terrace where you can sit and enjoy a drink or coffee. The pool is nice. In the restaurant, delicious food and high service are served. Breakfast is really good with a nice selection. But probably the best thing is that all the staff are so nice and friendly, which really makes the place a place worth recommending. We loved this place.

Hotel Al Campanile is a lovely accommodation right in the centre of Baveno, a short walk to restaurants and bars and the edge of stunning Lake Maggiore. Stresa which is definitely worth a visit - is just 5-10 minutes by car. The accommodation is very well located and has private undercroft parking (separate charge) with generous spaces for a larger vehicle if needed. The reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly, we dealt with a gentleman on arrival and with Tatiana and Melissa on departure. Before our stay we received excellent communication from the hosts who offered upgraded suite accommodation at a small additional charge which we accepted. The room itself was spacious and light with views of the lake and mountains. There was everything we needed for our stay. We had a large double bed, an additional sofa bed for our teenage son (which was very generous and comfortable) and an ensuite bathroom. Our stay was superb and the Navagacione boat transport across the lake to the Borromean Islands is a must and is good value and easy walking distance from this accommodation. We were also fortunate enough to see the evening light and water show on the edge of the lake and live music in the square close by which made our one night stay even more enjoyable. Thankyou for your friendliness and hospitality. This is a great pace to stay and I would highly recommend it.

We drove from Munich, Germany for a wedding to Lago Maggiore. Looking for hotels in Stresa, we found out that the prices where not very fair and quite expensive for something nice. Looking through hotels.com we found a brand new hotel which opened only in May 25th and seemed to be very modern and luxusrious with a great value. I would def visit the Hotel again if I visit Laggio Magiore. The staff was very friends and profesional. The hotel rooms are very nice and are in great conditons. Bathroom is very larg and modern. Bed was very comfortable!! The garage in the basement was ver spacious and you can park your car for a 10 euro per day fee.

Brand new and nice Hotel. We (family with a baby and a small child) stayed 4 nights in July in one of the Suites (one bedroom, a separate room with a sofa bed and, a bathroom and two balconies). Sofa bed is a bit too soft, so nothing for a long stay. Staff was very friendly and we were not only an anonymous guest for them. Parking and breakfast are charged separately. When something was missing at the breakfast buffet, we told the staff and they always were able to find something for us in the kitchen (thanks Anna ;-) ). Location is great in Baveno. Only a two minute-walk to the lake, restaurants, etc. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

Situation calme, belle vue sur le lac et la jolie église. Chambre suite spacieuse très confortable avec balcon sur lac. Décoration sobre mais chaleureuse. Possibilité de se faire du thé/tisane ou café dans la chambre avec une bouilloire à disposition, j'ai apprécié pour la tisane du soir ;-) ! Terrasse de l'hôtel très agréable pour le petit-dejeuner dehors par belle météo, ce qui a été mon cas. Buffet petit-dejeuner complet avec un choix important, personnel accueillant et serviable, possibilité de demander des oeufs sous toutes leurs formes ou autre service au petit-déjeuner, pas de musique assommante dans la salle du petit-dejeuner mais atmosphère calme, et cela fait du bien !

My family of 4 loved our stay at Al Campanile and were sorry that we could only stay one night. The hotel was very clean and modern, the beds were very comfortable, and the air conditioning worked great. We had a garden view suite that had two rooms, two balconies, and a spacious bathroom. We enjoyed drinks and wonderful views on the rooftop terrace. We also appreciated being able to park in hotel garage (for 15 euros per day). The town of Baveno is very convenient for visiting Isola Bella and within walking distance of Stresa. I would recommend this property to others and gladly return!

Our only issue was no air con and only one chair in the room which wasn't very comfortable to sit on, however the hotel is absolutely stunning! Very original and beautifully decorated with lovely old pieces of furniture and unusual objects. The staff were extremely charming and very accommodating. The breakfast was amazing and very filling. If you can manage the heat with a fan in your room then I would highly, highly recommend! I took loads of photographs of the interior as it is just so original in character. Thank you to the staff who made our stay so welcoming.

Casa Camilla exceeded our expectations from the beginning on. Beautiful design, a lovely room, great breakfast and amazing staff! The breakfast is getting served and even though a buffet would offer more choice, you get what you need and this is more than enough. The small team was very nice and I would like to mention Monica and Ivan who made our stay unforgettable. Grazie per la splendida vacanza!

A really beautiful place and in an excellent location, really close to the lake promenade and all the restaurants and bars in the area. Clean rooms and the breakfast was tasty and rich. The best part is the staff, kind and helpful in everything. Ivan was really nice, he helped us solve a problem with the car and connected us to the right place

Had a wonderful stay this summer. Would recommend this place to everybody. Lovely house and cozy atmosphere. Staff very friendly. Only thing missing is a refrigerator in the rooms when it is that hot it is nice with refreshments in the room cooled down.

Brilliant hotel, excellent location. Loved the sky bar and private pool overlooking the lake. Breakfast was lovely. Really disappointing to be booked into a room which had a building site clearly on view from the balcony.

Stunning view of the lake. The outdoor pool area was pure luxury and envied by all passing it! Felt like royalty entering the pool and politely asking passers by for room to enter! Full privacy by pool area. Room was spacious and the best shower I have ever experienced. Nothing too much for the staff. Outstanding views from the gym on floor six, the rooftop bar area and pool. Spa on floor six was free (need to book in). Salt Room so relaxing! Had breakfast outside a couple of times. Breakfast choice and service outstanding. The hotel was worth every penny and I simply cannot recommend enough.

The calming front garden and dining outside. The sky bar and infinity pool and pool cafe. The pool bathroom and shower facilities are excellent.

Perfect location on the lakefront with great views of the Borromeo Islands. We stayed here for 5 nights in a room with a lake view and balcony, which was clean, comfortable, spacious and modern. We really couldn't fault it. There's a first-class restaurant, and as a bonus, a rooftop skybar and a swimming pool on the lakefront. The staff were wonderful - helpful and friendly. Breakfasts were excellent , and we ate in the restaurant on one of our evenings there, which was also very good. Food is also available in the skybar and swimming pool. The location of La Palma is great, just a short walk from the centre of the town and harbour. If we visit Stresa again (which hopefully we will) we would certainly stay at La Palma.

Breakfast was varied enough, dinner was good quality and the wine list was sufficient. Very helpful and qualified staff at the reception and restaurant. Good wellness with the possibility of booking and a famous outdoor pool, one of the best hotel pools in my life. The hotel's location is excellent for walking and traveling. I highly recommend it!

The hotel is up on a hill with a gorgeous view of the lake. Our room had a spectacular view — truly one of the highlights of our stay. There are benches all around the yard where you can relax and enjoy the view, and the sunsets were amazing. One evening, we even saw deer walking through the garden — such a nice surprise. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent (worth booking ahead if you're staying over the weekend). The town is only a 20-minute walk away, so it was easy to go explore without taking the car. Everything felt calm and welcoming. We had a great stay and are already looking forward to coming back.

The hotel, the view from the rooms, and the staff were incredible. Also the food in the restaurant, for sure we will come back ! The staff was really kind to bring us the food to the room because we arrived late and we were triying to put asleep our daughter.

The property has an absolute magical situation. The view is amazing and the garden is really beautiful.

Small not busy hotel with great hospitality, very nice staff and great views.

This hotel is at the top of it's game. The whole experience was 100%. The place is in a great location, kept up to top standard and is a pleasure to visit. The cleanliness is second to none, great food, staff and air con. We stayed in a garden view room and the view is stunning and far cheaper than a lake view. We took our own kettle as we knew the rooms weren't provided with one. You have to pay 5 euros for them to empty the mini bar if you want to use it as a fridge. They provide pool towels at the pool which cover the whole bed. The pool is easy to just walk into, gradually slopes, no ladders. The outside toilets have showers, lockers, changing rooms and hairdryers in them. The gardens are beautiful and have plenty of sunbeds and a bar with lunchtime snacks. There was a piano in the lounge being played most nights and dancers one evening. We loved our stay here and you felt special. The staff were so professional and served you in the evenings. A good choice for each course and plentiful. Breakfast was buffet with a massive selection. The attention to detail did not go unnoticed by us. A pleasure to stay in this hotel in a class of it's own.

Very impressed with our couple of nights stay here. Fantastic location. Stunning architecture. Classy service. Wonderful breakfast. Room: Requested a quiet room and was given a lovely room at the back of the hotel looking over the pool, gardens and nearby hills, with a small balcony. Air-conditioning worked well, plenty of toiletries, robe and fluffy towels. We didn't use the mini bar. Hotel: The hotel decor and gardens are stunning. The outdoor pool is relaxing, easy to get sunbeds in July, huge pool towels available for guests. Staff: The reception staff were wonderful, helpful and efficient. Wait staff were discreetly attentive. Breakfast: A vast array of choice. Range of fruit, pastries, breads, meats and cheeses, cakes, yogurts plus a host of hot options. Fresh coffee made to order. We loved sitting on the terrace looking over the lake and watching the birds while we ate. Clientele: Mostly older people, some in tour groups. A couple of families with children, some mixed family groups. Range of nationalities. Hotel felt genteel. I am surprised by other reviews criticising the staff, they were fantastic. There is no tea/coffee in the rooms but we didn't need this, so it wasn't an issue for us. There are so many nice cafes to explore.

For the small number of people who submitted slightly negative reviews I am disappointed for them for not enjoying the same experiences that we had. Firstly, the staff. From those on reception, in the restaurants and the pool areas , they were always friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection was first class and if you couldn’t find something you liked then I really don’t know what you’re looking for. As for our evening meals they were always excellent with consistent attentive service from all the waiting staff . It might have been the time of year ( end of August beginning of September) but the outside pool was never crowded with lots of beds available. As for the indoor pool , steam room and sauna in the wonderful ‘grotto’ well that was quite simply superb . While taking on board some reviews relating to noises in adjoining rooms , it’s true you could often hear people, but it wasn’t a problem at all for us . We had a tremendous week .

This hotel is a step back in time. It is very palatial, the service is amazing, four course dinner every evening is fantastic as is breakfast. There is an indoor grotto pool, heated, which is absolutely brilliant if you have inclement weather or don't want to be out in the sun by the fantastic outdoor pool set in beautiful gardens. Right on the lakeside, 10mins from the ferry, you couldn't ask for more. To update this hotel to more modern decor would be a tragedy, it should be appreciated for the elegance that it brings.

This was our second time at the hotel and we were as pleased during this visit as our first. The staff is professional and welcoming. We particularly enjoy using the pool and found it still as enjoyable. Compliments to Fabio and his staff for maintaining the quality of the pool and the grill restaurant. The room was comfortable and the breakfast buffet was geared to many types of breakfast tastes (Italian, Swiss, German and British).

Den smukkeste udsigt, både fra værelset og fra restauranten. Virkelig god morgenmad med alt hvad hjertet kan begære. Det sødeste og venligste personale. Fine senge, god størrelse værelse. Vi var heldige at have et værelse med balkon som vi satte stor pris på. Der er parkering tæt på hotellet. Hotellet ligger et stykke fra byen oppe på bjerget, det tog os ca 1 time at gå fra selve byen og op til hotellet i 33 graders varme og der er stejlt, så en bil er nok ganske nødvendig. Området er meget smukt. Skal vi nævne nogle mangler så vil det være aircon, køleskab på værelset, samt hvis det skulle være helt perfekt en pool så man kunne nyde at blive ved hotellet. Ca 5-10 minutters kørsel fra hotellet ligger både en privat (betaling) og en offentlig strand (meget lille) der er fin grus/sand bund. Vi kommer meget gerne igen.

Unica pecca mancanza aria condizionata e per noi costretti a tener chiusa finestra avendo dei cagnetti poteva essere un grosso problema perché davvero un caldo insopportabile..ma appena comunicato il nostro problema ci é stato subito dato un ventilatore portatile che ha reso il nostro soggiorno perfetto. Hotel pulito e La colazione compresa nel prezzo abbondante. Da tornarci. Punto di forza il personale tutti dovvero eccellenti

Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb von San Giulio am Hang, sodass man einen unverstellten Blick auf den See genießen kann. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber, das Mobiliar und das Bad allerdings schon etwas älter. Zu Fuß ist man 30 Minuten in den Ort unterwegs, zurück eher noch länger, dafür gibt es ein tolles Restaurant in der Nähe.

Prachtige locatie, met zicht op het meer vanuit de kamer en vanuit het restaurant. De rust is zalig. Zeer vriendelijk onthaal en bediening. Een topper!

It was such a treat for us to stay lakeside side in the Italian lakes. The location, views and gardens were stunning. Private parking was very useful and breakfast was very good. The owner is very charming and welcomes you like family. We stayed in the family room at the back. It's not fancy but extremely clean and comfortable...and priced at a steal for this location. Air con and a great shower/huge bathroom were appreciated. Doubled glazed windows were very effective at blocking out the noise of the stream outside.There's plenty of seating areas and loungers in the garden so we didn't feel we 'missed out' on views at all.

Very clean rooms, comfortable beds, nice view from the balcony, friendly staff. I would say the hotel is definitely worth its money. Cons: there are almost no sidewalks along the road to Stresa, so it's sometimes not too comfortable to walk, if not saying scary. There is a river flowing near the hotel, if the balcony door is opened , it's noisy enough in the room

I had a fabulous time and Hotel Villa Ruscello made my visit even better! Perfectly situated on Lake Maggiore between Baveno, Stresa Italy.on the lake Isola Bella and Isola dei Pescatori were just a ferry ride away and very charming . The castle and gardens on Isola bella were magnificent! A Must visit! Natalino's and his brother were the best and very helpful and gracious!

A wonderful way to visit Lago Maggiore. The hotel has beautiful grounds and spectacular views of the lake. The service is excellent and very friendly. The hotel has a parking lot, which is very helpful. The area is very quiet. Stresa is about three kilometers away for a boat ride, a stroll, and numerous restaurants. Ideal place to visit the lake.

A family owned hotel for 3 generations,the staff was excellent. The breakfast area is wonderfully appointed with art and antique furniture. I've been to 70 countries and this was the most elegant. The gardens are terraced at 3 levels. There is a private beach, which is rare on this lake.

Good location close to several amenities. Beach close by, several towns nearby, public transportation access, air conditioning was wonderful! Cleanliness top notch, staff friendly, good value, lovely food. The only thing missing if you’re going during hot summer is a pool. The balcony with lake view was really nice as well, rooms at the back would not have a great view. Overall very satisfied, good experience.

The Hotel Alpi was a very nice hotel, especially for the price. This was our third hotel on our trip and, although it was the most basic of the hotels, it compared favorably. The staff were amazing and always exceptionally helpful. The room was small, but very clean and had a nice balcony with a view. The only downside is that the hotel overlooks a somewhat busy road, so sitting on the balcony is a bit noisy. Inside the room, there was no noise, so it really was a minor complaint. Traditional European breakfast was included and was quite good. The hotel offered a fixed menu dinner through their restaurant, but we ate out because we wanted a few more options. There is also a bar in the hotel, but we did not spend time there. Out the door there was easy access across the street and through a park to a modest beach with a bar. The hotel offers towels to take to the pool and the beach. We didn't spend much time there, but it was quite nice. The hotel is also within easy walking distance to a grocery, the train and boat stations, as well as many restaurants and the main water front. Baveno doesn't have a huge selection of restaurants and some are overpriced due to their waterfront location. Still, there are good options. The hotel is in a prime location for visits to the Borromeo Islands and is a good launch point for the Maggiore Express train/boat trip. I highly recommend it for those looking for a solid hotel that won't break the budget.

A highly efficient and very friendly hotel, where nothing is too much trouble. The owner Renzo and his outstanding staff provide a high level of efficient and caring service. The breakfast is good and the dinners are excellent, superb value, interesting menus and well cooked by a talented chef. All of the staff were excellent., so I'll avoid naming as it would basically be a nominal roll of all the staff! Staying for five nights and choosing to eat in the hotel restaurant every night (which we have never done before), gave us a chance to get to know the staff and chat away with them; it was nice that they made the time to chat with us and the whole experience was unforgettable. The price of the food and drinks in the hotel was really very good and was a nice change, as prices are often hiked in hotels. we were allocated a parking space in a secure car park close to the hotel, which was very useful.

Excellent views (we had a room facing the lake). A mini fridge and a kettle would be a plus but we managed without:). Breakfast was very good (I read some complaints, but for me it was perfect, it had some savoury options and more sweet, excellent coffee, home-made cakes...). Twice we had dinner, which I highly recommend. The best of all is the staff, so kind, very competent, quick and welcoming. The location itself is perfect, our room looked on the main road but with windows closed the noise didn't bother us. You are five minutes on foot from the centre, even less from the beach with a bar. Lago Maggiore is a gem and we would gladly return.

The staff were all very friendly and went out of their way to help you. Hotel was immaculate and cleaned daily with new towels/bedding. Beach towels provided daily which was welcomed as well as a large bottle of water. Lovely view of the lake with good size balcony equipped with a table and chairs. Only a short walk (across the road and through the park) to the lake. A beach bar serving food and drinks at reasonable prices. Expect a 10-15 minute casual stroll to where the ferry terminal is. A great stay..would definitely highly recommend.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Villa Paradiso in Meina, Lago Maggiore, and I can't say enough good things about this charming hotel. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warm hospitality that set the tone for entire stay. The location is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of Lago Maggiore. Waking up to the serene beauty of the lake each morning was an experience like no other. The hotel's grounds are beautifully maintained, with lush gardens and a lovely pool area. Room was comfortable, clean, and tastefully decorated, reflecting the elegance of the entire property. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Another highlights of the stay was the hotel's restaurant. The food was exquisite. Dining with a view of the lake was an added bonus that made each meal special. The staff at Hotel Villa Paradiso truly made the stay memorable. They were attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with any request we had. Overall, the stay at Hotel Villa Paradiso was nothing short of perfect. It's a little slice of paradise on Lago Maggiore, and I can't wait to return. I came here for a few days of relaxation after being at a show in Milan and couldn't have picked a nicer hotel or place to stay. It's an easy train ride out of the city if you don't want to drive and is so peaceful up here. The staff at the hotel are very kind and accommodating, the food is fantastic and the service is stellar. The grounds are beautifully maintained, there is a pool and private beach to enjoy, plus fun activities such SUP. The hotel rooms are updated and very clean, while the hotel has beautiful old-world charm and lots of history (owner said it's been in the family for 3 generations and it is clear they take a lot of pride in great hospitality) . The town of Meina is quaint, with lots of winding roads, great for biking, hiking and walking (if you don't mind hills!!) Highly recommend this gotel if you are looking for some down time to unwind.

the staff are absolutely lovely. really lovely, accommodating people. went out of their way to help. even allowed me a room to get showered AFTER I had checked out before my flight home. Food was lovely, and pool, dinning area was great. beautiful location and rooms were clean and tidy. nice big shower and bed.

Everything was great from the food and drinks, to the beautiful pool and lakefront beach area. The employees were excellent especially Liala for helping us with transportation from the train and to the airport, and Zela’s service the entire trip was over the top and showed that she really cares about her customers.

If we could give this amazing hotel a 100 we would. From the moment we arrived we were treated like cherished family members. The lobby shines with marble floors and welcoming colors. Sarah greeted us and handled all parking concerns and showed us the beautiful boutique hotel and our fabulous room with a double terrace that looked smack dab over Lago Maggiore. Took our breath away. The room was perfection in all ways and the bed was so comfortable. The owners, Daniela and Graziano are so warm and welcoming and take immense pride in their hotel. We must give Marta a shout out as yet another wonderful member of the team. The location cannot be beat it is a block from town. We have stayed in 2 of the huge well known hotels in Stresa and this boutique hotel is far better. The top floor terrace is awesome; the breakfast room windows can open all the way to become part of the terrace. In the evening, the bar is open (have a Spritz; Valeria makes the very best) and you can even have wonderful food up there. We cannot say enough about this perfect gem of a hotel. There are only 14 rooms and you will be lucky if you can grab one. We reluctantly had to say goodbye with heartfelt hugs after 5 wonderful days. Sempione Boutique Hotel will be our choice every time we visit in the future.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. The shops, bars and restaurants are on your doorstep and you are straight across the road from the ferry terminal which is great for visiting the islands. The hotel has been completely refurbished with lovely rooms, a beautiful en suite and a stunning roof terrace with panoramic views. From the outside, the hotel seems quite unassuming but it's fresh, modern and tastefully decorated inside. The staff are just lovely!! We were always greeted with beautiful smiles and they really couldn't do enough for us. This was definitely the case when our pre-booked 0330 taxi to Malpensa failed to arrive. We spoke to the night manager who deputised her husband to stand in for her and she drove us to the airport herself!! I have never encountered customer service on this level from a hotel previously. This lady was a total star and we could not be more appreciative. If you are looking for a modern boutique style hotel to stay at in Stresa, this has to be your first choice, it really is everything you could want and more

The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. The hotel is small so they get to know you right away and are attentive to every need. The hotel is newly renovated and the rooms are modern, spacious, filled with light. Our room included a small kitchenette complete with an excellent coffee machine, microwave, fridge, plates, cutlery, etc. Most rooms have a little balcony with a small table and chairs which overlooks the lake, a perfect place to enjoy morning coffee or an afternoon apertivo. There is also a lovely rooftop terrace where breakfast and drinks are served. It is located right along the lake just across from the ferry which makes it very convenient for exploring the lake; and sits at the foot of the center of the town which makes it convenient to shopping and restaurants. We are so very happy that we chose Sempione Boutique Hotel, it made our stay in Stresa absolutely perfect!

This was a perfect place. Though the room was not large, it was well-designed, comfortable, with a great bed and a balcony overlooking the lake. The roof-top terrace was very special. The location was great - lakefront, convenient to the ferries, on the edge of old-town, easy access. But by far the best part of this special place is the staff - they were beyond helpful, really went out of their way to help us in every possible way. Especially appreciated Sara and Marta, who helped before arrival (explaining parking, a slightly early check-in), gave great recommendations, and even tried to help us figure out an autostrada toll error we had made! We will always remember this stay with warmth and pleasure

We had a wonderful stay recently at the Sempione Boutique Hotel. The hotel is immaculate and the rooms with the amazing views of the lake are gorgeous. It’s in a perfect location right by the lake and ferries and the centre with all its restaurants is just a short stroll away. The restaurant right next door is great too! The roof terrace with its wonderful views over the lake is fantastic and the perfect place to enjoy a lovely, cold Aperol Spritz after a long day of sightseeing. Daniela and her team were all lovely and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. I definitely recommend staying here if you’re going to Stresa, we’ll certainly be returning.
