This resort was beautiful and we had an amazing experience. Great food, pool area, swim up bar and nice view of the beach.

Service at the main pool bar was horrible (at the sit down and the swim up portion. Everytime we ordered it would take 30 min to get our drink. They basically ignored you, talked amongst themselves or disappeared all together. The servers walking around at the pool were great and everyone else in the lobby and on the property were amazing! Elvis, Shakira, Monica and Yanceli were all really really exceptional.

From the moment we walked through the door into the gorgeous lobby we knew this was going to be something special! We are Marriott people that travel ALOT and this one first not disappoint! We were first greeted by Shea at the front desk who was bright, friendly and very helpful. She checked us in to a beautiful 4th floor ocean view suite that was full of sunshine, very clean and huge. The AC was ice cold, the shower pressure was great and the water was hot! Eric lead us to our room and he fast became a friend. He shared stores of his life, the island and everything in between! He is a treasure to this property!!! What a special man, he greeted us by name every time he saw us to see how our day was! The concierge was wonderful! Made renting the golf cart on site easy and quick! You need one to get around the island. They were all wonderful and helpful in making sure it was gassed up when needed and that we had everything required. Security were all friendly and visible even though we felt safe on property at all times. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained too! Pool, swim up bar, cabanas, chairs and umbrellas, beach, spa, nightclub, fine dining….they have it all! We would absolutely come back and stay at this resort! They made our time here extra special! Thank you for a wonderful time!

We had an excellent stay at Alaia. The staff was very caring and helpful, both in providing information and with dealing with a noise complaint. We had a great couples massage in the spa and the pools are perfect for lounging around, with a swim-up bar and plenty of chairs available. The living area in the room itself is on the smaller side, but we had enough room for our luggage, the bathroom is large and the climate control gave the room a nice temperature throughout the day. The shower had a strong flow and the temperature control worked well. The various restaurants offered good food, though on the pricier side (if you want to save some money, walk a few minutes down the street to South Station grill). The hotel looks amazing with soft colours, green and light coloured wood. We would love to come back in the future. The hotel rents out golfcarts and the boats to the reefs leave from their own dock.

Our second time at the Alaia. we stayed in a 2 bedroom condo which was well worth the extra. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I want to especially thank Eric who roamed the property being helpful at all times even helping with carrying heavy grocery bags when not asked , he just offered. Eric is a super Ambassador for Alaia ! we went SCUBA diving everyday with Belize Pro Dive Center located on the pier at the Alaia. excellent reefs for diving and very capable and knowledgeable dive masters. one of our member got certified here on this trip. a super experience. highly recommend the Alaia . oh yes and at the swim up bar Henry was super helpful especially at making the mocktales after SCUBA diving.

My wife and I stayed a few here for our 10 year anniversary and absolutely loved it! The staff was great and very helpful, our room and the adjoining private plunge pool were clean and well built, the restaurant was amazing, the facilities were well cared for. Definitely will be coming back next time we visit Belize! The tours and massages were also very good! Would recommend!

We had an amazing stay at Mystic river. The food, staff, and accommodations were incredible. The tours can be booked daily before 6pm with knowledge and safe guides. We were concerned about the lack of AC - but the evenings were pleasant and the plunge pool helped. Their private gardens are all organic and the food was very tasty. We highly recommend!

Fantastic resort! We loved everything about it. What you may want to know: staff was just amazing! Getting there was tricky, but not too hard. All paved roads from the airport to the drive, but the driveway is long and unpaved. They take care of your bags and if needed you can drive up to your walkway to your bungalow. No TV, in room but I didn't need or want one. The restaurant and bar areas are open air, allowing a view of the jungle and the river. Food was great, and not expensive, 2 new specials every night. Bar drinks about 9 compared to 15 in San Pedro. They will set up any trips or events you want to do ahead of time, ring coffee and banana bread to your door at 7 am. Hike, walk, be lazy in your dip pool on your private deck, or go to the main pool. Lunch available at the pool. Everything surounded by beautiful jungle plants, trees, flowers. They out out fruit for the birds in the morning by the restaurant, so we saw Tuccans, iguanas, and one evening we saw an armadillo. All the staff is friendly and calls you by name. Amazing place. We will be back.

Petra, Peter, Sylvia, Penny & the staff made us feel so at home from the moment we stepped on the property. The welcome was on an open aired porch surrounded by lush foliage, butterflies and chirping birds. The property is well planned out to give privacy from each cabin / room with a tucked away pool site, hammocks for relaxing, and beautiful views of the jungle and river. We were impressed with how well staff took note of our preferences and remembered them each day. The cabin was comfortable and, while no AC, the breezes kept us cool and even chilly at night (for which they had already prepared for with a down comforter on the bed). My husband especially enjoyed the 7am coffee service basket and fresh baked banana bread delivered quietly to our door. Having no WI-FI in our room gave us space to unplug, decompress, and rejuvenate. We highly recommend Mystic River to singles, couples, families. There are fun activities to do on site (birding, kayak, floating down river, hiking, relaxing by pool) for a low-key getaway. This has definitely become our go-to resort in Cayo. Home away from home.

Mystic Mountain Resort is definitely off the beaten path, being about 7 miles into the countryside away from the village, but I wouldn’t want it any other way! Mystic Mountain is definitely a nature lovers paradise, with great pools, hiking options, bird watching and more. We were able to see so many birds and animals around, just by quietly enjoying our patio area. We even learned that Mystic has a sister resort across the river, which you can visit by crossing the river. The staff are very friendly and attentive , so we never wanted for anything. When we arrived, we were upgraded to a even larger bungalow, with a lovely private patio and soaking pool that overlooked the river. The chefs are amazing , so our breakfast and dinner were 10/10 (The snapper and the Stuffed Jacks are a MUST). They are partnered with a number of tour companies, so we booked activities through the resort .They even send packed lunches along for tours that may not offer lunch. Overall, I’m in love with the place and we’re definitely coming back for our next visit. Thanks a million guys!

This is a beautiful resort, think White Lotus Season 3 Vibes. How they keep the grounds looking as fantastic as they do is a testament to the ground crew. The plunge pool was awesome.

Amazing staff that really takes care of you and tour guides that were wonderful. Doris, Jessica, Richard, Rudy, Pedro, Orland, Ferdinand, and more--you were awesome! The room was great. We got the mountain view suite with a plunge pool, hammock, and day bed on the balcony with a view of Sleeping Giant mountain. The food was incredible. We were exited to see what the chef would come up with.

Amazing location. Our river view suite was spectacular and the private plunge pool on our balcony was one of our favorite features ever Food was amazing and the on site activities were amazing. We especially loved the Mayan cooking class where we made chocolate from raw cacao beans and learned a little bit about this fascinating culture.

What a beautiful place. We stayed in the Riverview suites with the plunge pool and it was a beautiful room. But for how much money we spent we were a little bit disappointed. We were given a baby crib that was broken. So we had to stuff pillows and blankets under the crib to prop it up so my son could have a proper sleep. We would order room service every night and the amount we were charged for a small grilled cheese sandwich or a small bowl of soup was ridiculous We really appreciated all the vegan options

The staff went out of their way to make our stay exactly like we wanted. Every single person we interacted with at the lodge was so friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and our outdoor heated plunge pool was perfect after a long day of activities. The activities we booked through the lodge all exceeded our expectations and we felt like we had the perfect jungle vacation. The restaurant was amazing- great value, great selection and variety- we ate their every day and the food was fresh, delicious, filling, and varied with daily specials that were amazing as well! The pool area for the lodge was beautifully kept and we couldn’t believe the delicious rum drinks were only $6-7 US! The grounds were just beautiful and full of paths to explore. We actually wished we could have stayed longer and skipped the beach half of our vacation!

My stay at Prana Maya was nothing short of extraordinary! From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the breathtaking beauty of this luxury resort. The crystal-clear waters, lush surroundings, and peaceful atmosphere made it feel like a true tropical haven. What stood out the most was how warm and welcoming everyone was. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. Their genuine friendliness and attention to detail made me feel right at home, and it was clear they truly care about their guests’ experience. The accommodations were immaculate and thoughtfully designed to provide the ultimate comfort and relaxation. Waking up to the stunning views and falling asleep to the soothing sounds of nature was an unforgettable experience. Prana Maya is the perfect blend of luxury and serenity. Whether you’re looking for adventure, relaxation, or a bit of both, this resort delivers it all. I can’t wait to return and highly recommend it to anyone seeking an unforgettable getaway!

Loved this place. Exactly what I was looking for, out of the way and minimal humans lol. Extremely clean (it's newly opened) and the staff is extremely hospitable. From the entire staff greeting us upon arrival until the day we left, our stay was the very best. I can't wait until they complete the entire property and yes I will definitely be back very soon.

The hotel staff members were attentive and knowledgeable about the area. The amenties were perfect and everything we needed for our stay. The concierge team was very helpful with booking tours and excursions throughout our stay. We would love to come back and stay again in the future.

Such a beautiful resort highly recommend! The staff is what really made it such a beautiful experience. The staff was welcoming and tended to our every need. I spent my birthday here and it was something to remember!

Stupendous accommodations! Absolutely gorgeous views. The staff and service were top notch. They did a phenomenal job making you feel at home. Very enjoyable trip, will be back next year!

Room was excellent with a private pool. Excursions were offered on a daily basis. Workers were extremely knowledgeable, helpfuul, and most importantly friendly.

The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the staff was very friendly. It’s 4 hotels that share amenities but nothing was ever crowded. There is one swim up bar/ pool and one restaurant for everyone to share but food and drinks were very good. Prices are reasonable especially for a resort. There are plenty of places near by to eat and drink at you can either walk or rent a golf cart. While we were there the water pressure was real weak and WiFi was down but they did offer us a credit.

Our stay at the Almond Beach Resort was pretty incredible from the moment we arrived. They are limited on parking but aside from that, their staff are all very friendly and always helpful. The room with the plunge pool was amazing, great layout, great view which we were worried about since we didn't get a beach side room. We were still able to see the pool and the ocean from our door at the Starfruit. The property was well maintained daily, and the sitting areas were perfect. This resort exceeded our expectations and would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting the Hopkins area.

This resort was amazing! All of the staff was so welcoming especially Captain Larry, Alex, Mark, Big Sexxxy and all the others whos names I can't remember even though they all knew my name and would greet me everytime I saw them. The Snorkeling and Bioluminescent tours were outstanding. The room and food was top notch. My only concern was the leaves constantly falling in the outdoor shower and private plunge pool, but there's not much the resort could do to fix that. Amazing vacation and I'll be back for sure!

We spent our honeymoon here looking for something with a lot of personality, quietude, cocktails on the beach, and opportunities to venture out and experience some local culture. We DEFINITELY got what we came for! Staff was incredibly helpful, friendly, and accommodating, and the rooms, grounds, lobby, restaurant, and pool areas were stunning (swim up bar, anyone?). This is not your run of the mill, boring resort! We had a wonderful stay, and we’d recommend this place to anyone wishing to come to Belize. It’s about a 2.5 hour drive from the airport in Belize City, or you can hop a VERY small plane for a 15 minute flight into Dangriga. One tip: bring bug spray, the strong stuff! Should you go on any adventures or travel out to Hopkins Village nearby, you’re gonna need it!

This is a perfect jungle paradise. The pools and activities offered are simply superb. The staff was immensely helpful, making all of it feel luxurious and like home at the same time. Definitely for the active to mildly active traveler because if the weather is bad it can get a little boring. But I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a fancy cultural immersion.

Absolutely stunning. Rooms are lovely. Property is beautiful. Great pools. Incredible views. And the customer service was excellent.

My stay at Copal Tree Lodge was genuinely extraordinary. Upon arriving in Punta Gorda's Toledo District, I was captivated by the area's breathtaking beauty. The journey to the hotel felt like entering a hidden paradise, surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant plants. The lodge's outdoor spaces are stunning and awe-inspiring, with verdant gardens and towering trees that create a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Each area seamlessly blends with the natural environment, enhancing its charm. The staff was exceptionally kind and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Their warm hospitality made us feel genuinely welcome. During my visit with friends, we enjoyed delightful Copalli rum and delicious meals celebrating local flavors. Copal Tree Lodge has become my go-to destination for escaping daily life, offering tranquility and a deep connection with nature. I can't wait to return and create more cherished memories in this remarkable retreat!

The property is surrounded by beautiful jungle with great hiking trails that I used pretty much every day! You truly are in the middle of a lush green surrounding, with monkeys in the trees and birds all around you! The kindness, positive attitude and helpfulness of the staff made all the difference! Everyone was extremely helpful, always smiling and paid attention to details! Our cabin (#11) was beautiful and due to it being a little elevated it felt very private! The excursion they had were a little pricey but the massages are reasonable (definitely recommended)! We did a half day fishing with a fantastic guide (Jose) who was so passionate and knowledgeable about fishing, it was a great day and the chef even prepared our fish for us that evening! Food was a bit pricey but delicious, we several times went into town to try local restaurants as well!

From the moment we arrived the service was exceptional- greeted with a welcome drink and shown around the beautiful lodge, pool, restaurant and to our room. We stayed for my birthday and they had even left flowers and a birthday welcome message in the room for us. The room was spacious and beautifully furnished with homemade biscuits and incredible coffee which we had to buy a bag of before heading home! The pool was lovely, perfect for relaxing by with a cocktail while watching some of the wonderful bird life. The restaurant was exceptional and made for a perfect end to the day- their ethos for sustainable and local produce was fantastic and the food was showcased perfectly to allow tourists to experience true Belizean flavours and dishes with a fine dining edge. Our stay could not have been better!

We stayed July 3rd - 4 nights with no rain during rainy season. Luxury jungle lodge sits among pine & palm trees on a mountain with rain forest a walk below. Temperature’s more comfortable than lower in the valley. We choose basic room - large, nicely furnished. Fine service: 1) Greeted at doorstep, everyone addressed us by name; 2) Decorated room: towels folded into kissing swans, flower petals on bed, handmade card; 3) Kept generator on so we could take late night Jacuzzi; 4) Gave us Walkie-Talkies to hike their 90 sq. mile property & sent someone to check we were OK when we didn’t return by dark; 5) I lacked water shoes for the ATM cave so manager Wayne (co-manages with wife Britt) lent me his shoes (!); 6) Gave me anti-itch cream without asking when I was scratching, 7) Asked what we wanted for dinner (cheeseburger/me, lobster/wife), 8) Wayne & Britt’s hospitality permeate the resort: engaging, fun, and their staff share the spirit: Andy (waiter), Tito (bar), Siomara (front desk)… with 12 rooms felt like royalty. Location’s remote, few food choices , we included breakfast & dinner: excellent food! No charge to add items to continental breakfast. Dinner is 4-courses with 3 entrée choices. Unexpected delight? Hiking Butterfly Falls & Devil's Falls; we swam alone in the pools under the falls (think Tarzan movie)! If driving, rent 4WD: last 18 miles are unpaved logging road, worth the effort to get there!

It's hard to get to, but worth the trip! Amazing hiking trails for all levels, idyllic waterfalls and swimming holes, all exclusive to lodge guests. You're not likely to share your space with anyone! A pleasant pool and hot tub for after hiking. Dining was superb! Plan on eating all your meals there since it is so remote. We purchased the meal plan to keep things simple. Masterful presentation. The menu was customized based on preferences gathered before arrival. Each staff person was friendly and helpful. The manager and his wife are delightful and ensure that everything is perfect. Other guests raved about the Spa and massage. We'll check that out next time. Intimate, yet private. Can't wait to return. Spend at least three nights. Any shorter is to shortchange yourself!

Hidden Valley Inn -- unexpectedly, I stayed in a lodge, within 7300 acres of wilderness in the Mountain Pine Ridge, 1 hour away from San Ignacio. I was greeted like a special guest, stayed in a beautiful villa, minutes away from the grand lodge, and the pool. There are kilometers of hiking trails, 5 major waterfalls on the property. I did the Butterfly trail, a 30 minutes by car, and a 30 minutes hike. Splendid! When you arrive at the falls and it's emerald lagoon, in the middle of lush jungle, you think that these few moments “Oh Mon Dieu" There they were all for myself, known as the “jewel of the property", featured in several tourist brochures of Belize. An unplanned stay, that took shape beautifully, blessed! @hiddenvalleybelize

This place was amazing. The view of the wilderness was awesome. We stayed in the Firewatch villa and had a front row seat to various birds with a great view. We took a guided tour of the property and saw 4 waterfalls, a hawk and had a private lunch at the secret pool with another waterfall and hammock. The staff was amazing. Marvin gave us a lot of information on our tour as did Vion when he took us cave tubing. They arranged our transportation from the airport and to the ATM cave. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful with our daily itinerary. The food was delicious too and the servers were very friendly.

We had such a lovely time at Hatchet Cay Island Resort. The staff were absolutely lovely with a special shout out for the restaurant staff and Dasha, the manager who made our vacation time there so special and marvelous! We loved going to the South Pier everyday and just getting into the water and snorkel and every night we would go back there after dinner with drink in hand and be hypnotized by the eagle rays gliding in and out of the purple lights. We went to the Silk Cays and bought fish from the fisherman there, then brought it back to the kitchen. The AMAZING chef there cooked it up for us and wow! Was it delicious! However I must also mention the lamb chops we had also which were incredibly delicious! What a joy to eat there! Also, at the Silk Cays, we had a superb time snorkeling with the big sting rays, nurse sharks and turtles as they circled around the fishing boat. Really great and it is only five minutes away from the resort! you can see them from the pier. We would most definitely go back. We loved our room which had a king size bed, huge balcony with plants and trees at its edge and the sea peeping out of the leaves. What else I liked is that we had neighbors but the rooms were very solid so it was quiet. We would sit there and watch the birds come and go. We became so incredibly relaxed on the island. Can't to go again when the whale sharks are there at full moon and go to Laughing Bird Cay for snorkeling. Thank you for making our stay so great!

If you are looking to completely escape and unplug, then this resort island is your destination of choice. The staff look after you in a professional yet non-suffocating way, allowing you to truly relax and enjoy the island. The island is fully self sufficient and incredibly eco-friendly. Well laid out, with top amenities. Volleyball is especially entertaining in the evenings with members of the staff. The restaurant is incredible and run by Carlos, their head chef. I have eaten all over the world and the nature of my job has me exposed to some top class cuisine. It is no understatement for me to recommend every meal that the restaurant provided during my stay. I did not have a single bad bite to eat during all of my dining experiences in the week. The pork belly was especially exquisite as a meal with it being Michelin Star in its presentation, quality and taste notes. Antonio, Melvin, Carlos, Noas, Juan, and Pablo did an excellent job looking after all of the guests in their roles as servers, guest services, and chef (Carlos...). I don't often take the time to write as extensive or as glowing a review as I have here, but I feel that this life experience warrants my time and a review worthy of the unique experience that is Ray Caye. May the staff and the island continue to prosper and excel. The staff esprit de corps and the quality of the product delivered are truly deserving of my best wishes. I look forward to returning again in the near future.

Ray caye was amazing, we spent a wonderful week there.it was the slow season and they upgraded us to the best house on the property. The whole time on the island we were one of at most three couples and for thee days the only couple. We were treated so special. The staff was awesome and we will definitely be going back.

Fantastic snorkeling. Sea turtles, stingrays, and sharks. Excellent staff. Very comfortable room overlooking the Caribbean. Fun watching the pelicans diving to catch fish. Great for families and those looking for adventure. Our family stayed for 3 nights. Grandma had a great time too.

Incredible place I highly recommend! Beautiful island with snorkelling, sailing, fishing and kayaking- so much to do and come back to a delicious meal at the restaurant. Friendly staff who are very helpful! I will definitely return!!

I had an absolutely amazing time there. At night when I was ready to be away from the noise of the city, I could retreat to turtle island and be at peace. The staff was amazing. The boat captain made many trips so although there’s scheduled times for transportation, I ended up getting a ride from the island at very convenient times. It’s only a 5-6 min ride each way from San Pedro to turtle island (I timed it). You can get the golf cart through a partnered company and they will even pick you up. It was worth it for sure and the kid loved the private pool.

The resort is on a private island, it's beautiful, the staff was friendly, the food was good. The chef I forgot her name, made me an authentic Belize breakfast (fry jack) which was delicious!! I stayed in the beach house with the private pool, it was absolutely wonderful! A boat is needed on and off the island, they only have 1 (boat) at this time and a set schedule that is flexible, I didn't experience any issues with that. I was even able to make it to my 5am excursion in Belize City, thanks to the wonder team.

We are medical professionals, travel extensively, and are receiving no compensation for this review. Bullet points: BEAUTIFUL property! Incredible staff! Great food. The shuttle is VERY, VERY safe. 5 star bed/bedding. Powerful/quiet AC. Kitchen is okay but could be a little better stocked. Plunge pools are worth it. Concierge services are excellent. SPA was excellent. CLEAN/PRISTINE. No power outages during our one week stay Feb 2024. I wrote a LONG review but Hotels.com allows only 1500 characters. I'll send my review to the property and you can ask them for "Brian's review". Bottom Line: You have an option of booking resorts in town (loud), beach resorts (beaches are public and these hotels have less privacy) or a locked compound where you have to deal with the expense of a golf cart (not to mention horrible traffic, parking, worry about DUI, collisions, etc). Or you can choose Turtle Island which is private, safe, incredibly beautiful, quiet and the complimentary shuttle gives you easy transportation into central San Pedro where everything is within a 15 minute walk. A place where the staff treat you like family. I would stay here again without hesitation. I honestly don't understand the negative reviews. There is no place in the San Pedro area that I'd recommend higher. The shuttle/ferry is pristine and the rides back and forth to San Pedro are not an inconvenience but beautiful, especially at sunset. Pictures do not do this property justice.

We came here for an afternoon while staying at a nearby resort. WOW! The views are breathtaking! We didn't explore the resort to much further than the restaurant, pool and lagoon areas - but what we did we did see was gorgeous. The food was excellent, we each had something different and all enjoyed our meal very much. The staff was friendly and attentive. While I cannot speak to staying at the resort, we had an excellent experience during our day trip!

If you want peace and quiet, this is the place. Beautiful villa. Excellent food and drinks. The service was amazing. All of the staff were friendly and accommodating. We really only saw fellow travelers on the resort boat going to and from San Pedro (by choice). The shuttle boat to and from the resort to San Pedro was over booked at peak times, sometimes having to make two or three trips to provide service to all of the guests which meant having to wait at the dock. The Captains handled this with much grace and professionalism. Perhaps a second boat chartered for these peak times would have eased my frustration and placed less fatigue on the Captain, especially when the weather was not pleasant at the water was rough. Julie, Joe, Ernesto, Matao, and all of the other friendly smiles that make this place run; thank you, you are amazing!

Our family vacation with my hubby and 6yr old daughter. We got the 2br beach house with our own private pool. One of the most amazing places we been! The staff service was superb, the spa was amazing and the food dang good! Highly recommend!

Beautiful laid back place. We enjoyed this resort more than expected, totally first class. Plunge pool was excellent. Staff was great.

The property is beautiful with lush landscaping and wildlife to see. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The villa we stayed in was clean and stocked with fresh towels and coffee daily. If I had to give one negative it was that we had to ask them to refresh the pool each morning and that should be done every day since rain and bugs can make it not so nice to get into. Once we requested that though it was done and we enjoyed the private pool right at the villa.

Room was extremely spacious with a long double sink in the bathroom, free-standing bathtub and outdoor shower. TV reception was good for March Madness games, bed was comfortable and we had our own private pool and view of the Caribbean. Room 31. Our room had a kitchen, but we did not use it. Staff was amazing and super helpful. Only two issues: breakfast service is slow so pre-order the night before and the water pressure in the shower was a little weak.

Very very nice resort, right on the beach. We had one of the villas with private pool, steps away from the ocean, spacious house with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms + a kitchen. Lots of activities around the resort + tours around Belize organized by the front desk. No bugs and super relaxing vacation. Staff was incredible and super helpful. Highly recommended for families and couples. Loved every minute. Picture perfect ocean vacation.

It was perfect for us: quiet and on the beach. We felt we had our own private pool, beach and restaurant. It was amazing. All the staff went above and beyond to make it all perfect for us.

Clean, cozy, and excellent service. We stayed glide 7 nights, during “low season.” We had the resort to ourselves. We were upgraded to the suite with a balcony that overlooks the pool and ocean; it was gorgeous. The pool and beachfront are stunning; picturesque. All staff were kind and helpful. We had a bit of trouble with our AC and internet; both were addressed promptly. Would highly recommend and stay again.

If you want a romantic secluded get away, this is the place to go. We loved our tree house in the trees. It felt like we had a luxury resort all to ourselves with a 5 star service. The pool was beautiful on the beach with pool side service. The restaurant is top rated and the food made this evident. Any of the seafood is amazing.

Very well maintained property and beach. Every morning the staff is making sure the beach and surrounding area is cleaned up for guests. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Food at the restaurant has been very good. We took the bikes on a couple rides, one i to town and one ride to Hobb's brewery. Riding bikes was a lot of fun. We also had a chance to use the SUP and sea kayaks. It was rather rainy during out stay so we didn't get to take advantage of the pool and beach like we had hoped but rest assured if you want a lovely beach/pool experience Mariposa would fulfill the requirement. Bug spray is a must! Many people have left spray here and there is a basket of it in case you forgot. Don't delay in using the spray otherwise you will be itching bug bites your entire trip. Be sure to use spray prior to walking around in Placencia as well. Overall very nice place in Placencia.

5/5 Stars! I just returned from an unforgettable stay at Mariposa Beach Resort in Placencia, Belize. From the moment I arrived, I knew I was in for a treat. The journey to the resort was an adventure in itself, with a scenic puddle jumper flight to Placencia's tiny airport. George, the resort's friendly staff member, greeted us at the airport and whisked us away to the resort. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed with refreshing, scented towels and a signature cocktail (they have plenty to choose from!). Our bags were already being taken to our stunning treehouse, which offered the perfect blend of privacy, comfort, and luxury. The treehouse was immaculate, with a comfortable bed, plush pillows, and a stocked mini-fridge with refreshments and beer. The hammock on the front porch was the perfect spot to relax and unwind while sipping on a cold beer. The resort's amenities, including the restaurant, pool, and beach, were just a short stroll from our treehouse. The food was exceptional, with delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. George, our friendly resort staff member, also facilitated our scooter rental, making it easy to explore the peninsula. I highly recommend Mariposa Beach Resort to anyone seeking a tranquil, luxurious getaway in paradise. The staff's warm hospitality, combined with the resort's stunning amenities and beautiful surroundings, made for an unforgettable experience. Can't wait to return!

Accommodation was a spacious, modern and clean 2 bedroom/2bath Unit, full kitchen, luxurious Livingroom, semi-private pool. We had everything we could possibly want or need. Kitchen stocked with pots/pans, utensils, plates etc. The resort only has two restaurants, and to get to anywhere, you need to take a ferry. But the Ferry operates on a regular schedule.

Blu Zen was amazing ! The property itself is beautiful ! The 3 pools are nice and clean. They are still adding onto the property so there is construction going on but not close enough to be a bother. The beach part of the resort is not big but also enough for my son to build sand castles and dig. There are no sun loungers on the beach but I didn’t mind. There are two pools right behind the beach. There is a lot of seaweed but they do a good job of cleaning it up. Our 2 bedroom condo was spacious and very clean. No complaints at all. The laundry in unit was super convenient. The ferry to the main island is also very convenient. The two restaurants are good but the food on the main island is worth the 5 min boat ride. The staff is super nice and helpful, Jairo made us feel right at home, he was amazing. The pools were never packed. Some days we had it all to ourselves. I can’t rave about this place enough.

We was greeted at the boat and walked to our room by the concierge. The room was great. Pools was great. Boat taking us to the south island ran like clockwork. We was there during hi sargassum season and very little issues. People working at every level of the complex was nice. Even the construction workers. View is excellent also. Pools good. Best place on any of the islands we have visited.

BluZen is a gorgeous property. The unit was overlooking the ocean, clean and full of kitchen items. The only downside is the tub did not plug. We were not able to use the bathtub and the tv internet didn’t work great but we didn’t come to watch tv. When we were there, the resort was basically empty. There were days when we had the pool to ourselves. Very quiet and calm-zen! You could ferry over to south caye caulker at any time so you had access to get around easily. The bad part was the sargassum. We booked BluZen because of the man made beach and hammocks over the water. That was no use to us. The sea weed was so bad you couldn’t use the beach. The smell was really bad. I know it’s something that is difficult to control, but I feel like we couldn’t make use of other pools as much. The restaurants on property are just okay. The lotus was good for lunch but drinks weren’t great. Dinner was just okay and breakfast was okay. The fogota had better drinks but food just okay. We really liked the vibe there. There are lots of great restaurants nearby-however. You can rent a golf cart for 80 dollars a day but I recommend getting there early because they only have two to rent and they are first come first serve. They had fishing poles in the office, which would have been nice if they offered due to sargassum, but they said you had to book fishing tour to use them. Either way, it would have been nice to have been offered something since we couldn’t use beach or swim in ocean.

Everything about our stay at Blu Zen was amazing! Starting with the pre-arranged transportation from the airport to the Belize City water taxi and from there to the property on Blu Zen’s own boat, followed by a quick but welcoming arrival reception at the property and tour of the condo. The staff was exceptional—incredibly friendly and accommodating—special props to Joel, Jairo, and Nan for making us feel like royalty during our stay! The private property is immaculate with plenty of amenities—3 pools, ocean beach, golf cart rental, free bikes, two delicious restaurants with bars, a small market, a well-equipped fitness center, etc. The location on the north end of Caye Caulker was the perfect blend of quiet relaxation with easy access to the south end of the island for additional activities and shopping. We will definitely be visiting Belize again and will most certainly stay at Blu Zen!

Great service. Clean and very beautiful hotel! We stayed at the basic rooms which were more affordable and nice. There are other upscale, very luxurious rooms with a private pool, but we did not book them cause they were out of our budget. The Restaurant serves very good food but it too pricy compared to other option at San Ignacio. Overall, I recommend the hotel !

This beautiful property is outstanding in amenities and service. We stayed in a wonderfully designed and comfortable cottage with a completely private garden and plunge pool behind it, surrounded by lush tropical landscaping. The staff could not have been more helpful and courteous. It is a few miles out of town, near the Xunantunich archeologic site, so transport to town for tours and meals does involve using local taxis, which are easy to obtain on the main road and in town. Meals and transportation on site are quite expensive. Worth the distance from town for a wonderful place to end a day of exploration. HIghly recommend!

This was a 5 star experience throughout. The resort arranged pickup from our hotel in Belize City which was arranged with a shuttle and driver who was friendly, efficient and very knowledgeable about the area. We were greeted upon arrival with a welcome drink, and shown to our rooms by a courteous and efficient staff member. The rooms are beautiful, with a comfortable bed, and well appointed bathroom. One of our rooms had an outdoor patio, and the other had an attached screened porch and outdoor patio. The restaurant and bar are outstanding with excellent drinks and food. One suggestion would be to add more vegetarian entree options to the dining menu. One evening, the chef served me a specially prepared stuffed zucchini entree that was delicious. Breakfast is the best deal here in terms of choices, quantity, taste and price. The entire property is well maintained and natural, with an organic vegetable garden that is sourced for much of the restaurant food. We didn't use the pool, but it was lovely, with iguanas hanging around! The hotel to arrange several activities for us, which were reserved with polite and friendly guides. We thoroughly enjoyed the ATM cave tour, and the horse ride to Xunantunich ruins (both highly recommended). The Mayan cooking class at the hotel was wonderful! The staff are outstanding and really make this a 5 star experience. They knew which activities we had planned and kept us informed of guide arrival, and made sure our breakfast was timely.

I usually don’t rate hotels or share any of my travels experiences. This time I believe that the word needs to be out there for future visitors to Belize. What a gem of a country. The Ka’ana resort lives to its standards. It’s a great eco friendly resort yet supplies you with the essentials such AC and TV. Their organic farm, coffee, and freshly prepared food is delicious no matter what you try you won’t be disappointed. The welcome drink is to die for. Freshly squeezed ginger and lime blended with ice def refreshing. The little something that they leave you every night is delicious. Close to town yet away from the noise. The rooms are super clean, the decor makes you want to move in, comfy beds, small but super relaxing pool area. The gardens, the bar, are wow! The staff is extremely helpful and guide you to any adventures you may want to try. Tours are cheaper if you book on your own in town. Everything else is truly yours to make! If you need a place where you want to relax, enjoy delicious food, cocktails and be pampered... this is your place!

We enjoyed a brilliant two night stay at Ka'ana as part of our honeymoon and would absolutely recommend it! It's set in beautiful gardens, with a gorgeous pool and wonderfully decorated rooms full of interesting artworks, masks and objects - I wanted to take them all home with me. The service was incredibly attentive without being overbearing - it felt like nothing was too much trouble. We were welcomed with an incredibly warm and helpful orientation, the staff always remembered us personally, they went out of their way to cater to our vegan diet, and there will lots of lovely little touches throughout our stay. The hotel provides a great base to explore the surrounding area where there is so much to do. A seriously high quality hotel where every detail has been accounted for!

Fantastic room with private plunge pool!! Used available included kayaks and bicycles, the food was also amazing. Great experience over all, highly recommended!

The room was great! We had a lot of privacy with the bottom floor seaview villa for our honeymoon. The food is really good and less expensive than it was in the jungle. They also have better drinks with tropical twists. The staff here is incredible. Best service we have ever had. Rudy, Charles, Bruno, Irwin, Rodney, and Edgar were so attentive and kind. We love Edgar, he is amazing. We would go back just for the staff. The big dock is a cool place to hang out and the swim up bar was a lot of fun as well. Overall, it was a wonderful visit.

Our stay at the Lodge at Jaguar Reef was wonderful. We stayed in a sea view villa with a plunge pool. It was clean, quiet, and relaxing. All of the staff from guest service manager to maintenance workers were friendly and excellent. They really took the time to get to know us and took care of us well. Jonathan was a wonderful and knowledgeable tour host. Edgar and Chef Rahim made eating in the Paddle House a great experience each day. It was a wonderful place to just relax. We would definitely stay there again.

This may have been the best service I have ever received at a hotel. After booking about 15 minutes before showing up at the property we were upgraded to a fantastic room with a private plunge pool overlooking the ocean. The staff were all fun and friendly, giving the resort an outstanding vibe. Won't hesitate to book here again and would recommend to all travelers.

The Lodge at Jaguar Reef is in a fantastic location, and the facilities are generally quite good. We have stayed at the lodge four times, each in a different room, and have found the accommodations to be fairly consistent. During this visit, however, we encountered some maintenance issues. The plunge pool in our room was not functioning, several lights throughout the room were not working, and there was some flooding due to the rain. The staff promptly addressed the lighting issue, but unfortunately, the plunge pool was not fixed during our stay. The location and grounds at Jaguar Reef are truly beautiful, but the food is not. It is quite overpriced and not particularly good, which seems to be a common issue at Belize Collection resorts. As a result, the resort’s restaurants are often empty. We typically choose to dine at local restaurants or other resorts, but we continue to return to Jaguar Reef because of its great location. A quick note for future visitors: The hot tub and pools are not heated and close early at 9 PM. so selecting a room with a private pool might be a good option for you.

This was as good as it gets. Incredibly friendly and personable staff who wanted to go above and beyond at all times to be helpful without being overbearing or sycophantic (shout out to Jonny and Xavier in particular). The rooms were exquisitely decorated, spacious and comfortable. There were multiple swimming pools and direct access to the sea, free paddleboards, bikes, kayaks. The food was amazing albeit pricey, but it all fell into the luxury category that the Turtle Inn embodies. Pro tip - utilise the drinks happy hour each day from 4-6pm!

The property was beautiful and the staff really went above and beyond in all areas. The restaurant was delicious, the pool/beach area was maintained spectacularly. We LOVED everything about our visit to the Turtle Inn!

Very professionally run , very relaxing and charming. Staff very friendly and helpful. We tried 3 different dining options and they were all excellent , as was lunch beachside . Poolside cottage with sea view just spot on.

Fantastic rooms, environment, staff, food, pools, trips

Landscaping is gorgeous. Villas are so neat and furnished beautifully. Love how it’s a small resort, so not a lot of walking to restaurants, pools, beach, etc. Very kind staff.

Back for a second time!! It’s just as wonderful as I remember - top notch service, great food and drinks, private beach, spacious pool, comfy bed… I love this home away from home! And to my MB fam: It was wonderful to see Sephanie my BFF was still there, and I appreciated her welcoming and always accommodating attitude. Trish was my twinner and always genuinely glad to see me and ask if I needed anything. Thank you, Emil, for your patience and kindness- you’ll be missed! I really enjoyed conversations with Jessica and her willingness to explain life on the island and the education system. Sam- thanks for not laughing at us too much and keeping a straight face most of the time while we gossiped at the bar:) Alan, you’re my hero! He rescued me when I slipped in the mud, stopped to give rides, and was an expert in brightening my day. Catherine made great drinks and we really connected with and appreciated how real she was with us. Gilmer made us laugh, was always the attentive poolside server, and made me truly feel like a queen. Shout out to boat guys for not letting me fall in when I wanted to dance. When I’m here, I feel like I can be unapologetically me, and that the staff genuinely cares about connecting, serving, and making my vacation worthwhile. I absolutely love the people and appreciate their sacrifices - thank you!! I miss you, MB Fam!!! Mwah💋, Trisha

Mahogany Bay provided an excellent home for our first stay in Belize. Our timing was great because we stayed just before the busy season started so we had no wait for tables at the restaurant or chairs at the pool and the weather was beautiful. The property is in good condition overall but the staff is what really makes it feel like home. Alan helped with luggage and drove us around the property and to meet our snorkel tour, always with a friendly smile. Trisha at the front desk was happy to help any time we needed anything and quickly arranged for us to be moved to a new room when we discovered our water heater wasn’t working. She also helped coordinate our snorkel tour when there was a miscommunication with the tour company so we were still able to see the beautiful marine life in the barrier reef. The private beach is lovely and KenRoy busted his butt making sure everyone had everything they wanted. Miguel, Mikal and Vivian provided excellent service at the restaurant and pool bar. They decorated for Halloween even though they don’t celebrate the holiday. It was a fun, festive atmosphere with live music and decor. Yes, there are bugs but that’s what bug spray is for. All of the staff we encountered provided a warm smile and asked if we needed anything in the most genuine way possible. I would be delighted to come back!

My husband and I recently stayed here for my birthday trip to Belize. It was really lovely there. The staff was out every morning very early doing landscaping and maintenance. Our one bedroom cottage was perfect for us. It was very clean, the AC was much appreciated, and the bed was comfortable. The only downside is that the windows are always open. They are screened with plantation shutters on the inside. It's nice to hear the birds as it does feel like you are out in the rainforest. This also means that you hear the golf carts going by, and pretty much everyone on property does the golf carts as it means you can also get into San Pedro easily. The staff was VERY friendly, always smiling, and so helpful. The pool is beautiful, the Pool Club (on property but separate from Mahogany Bay) was our favorite! It is surrounded by palm trees and bamboo...loved it. I will also say that the emails I sent the property about airport transportation and questions about the private beach (which is EXCEPTIONAL) were answered quickly and professionally. This was an outstanding experience for us. We hope to come back one day and see how the property has developed!

What a special place!!! Special shout out to the team members that really make your day/stay: Gilmore was hysterical, hospitable and welcoming at our rainy day at the pool! Alex at the pool bar was so fun and engaging while we played our games during another rainy day. (Sending him Drawing Without Dignity asa special gift!) What could have been a bummer day turned into 1 of our favorite days...thank you Alex! Alan was always present and helpful with that big Belize smile! Too many encounters with him too mention...just BRAVO! I feel bad we're leaving people out, like Kenmore ? at the private beach and the entire team at Rum and Bean...the service, atmosphere and location is outstanding! Oh yeah, be sure to order the fried fish tacos for lunch and the honey drizzled fry Jack's for breakfast!!!

Such a wonderful trip! So many amazing people! Alan - great to see you again from last year. He is the best first point of contact and so wonderful. Look forward to seeing you again next year! Alex - poolside bar amazing! Even on a rainy day he was so entertaining and even joined in on our drawing without dignity game! Hysterical! Gilmer - restaurant and poolside! You are one of the best!! Do enjoyed talking and getting to know you!! So many more people to mention but I just can’t remember their names. You all contributed to our fun and memorable stay! Cheers and see you all soon! This property and its team members make us keep coming back year after year!

We loved our room at Cassia Hill (#5). It was clean, air conditioned and had a nice view of the grounds, and housekeeping tidied it up daily. There was one attached room in the cabin and there wasn't much soundproofing. The desk staff (Sarli in particular) were very friendly and helpful, and took care of all tour and transportation arrangements for us. The pool was fantastic and we were lucky to have it to ourselves most of the time. The restaurant was good, but we felt it was better to go into San Ignacio for our meals (less expensive and more interesting). The hotel grounds are lovely and peaceful. It's a bit of a pain to walk (15-20 mins along a busy road that is currently under construction) or take a taxi to and from San Ignacio. We felt the place was under utilized, as there are a number of dusty buildings not in use, the bar at the pool wasn't in use, and there was no convenience shop for snacks or other items.

We had the best stay there! The pool is awesome and the staff were very friendly. The grounds are a little overgrown… and this place looks like Covid hit it pretty hard, but it has SO much potential and we had such a great time that I hope more people stay there! Our room/cabana had a king and 2 doubles- Perfect for our family of 5!

The best place to stay in San Ignacio!! The grounds were absolutely beautiful, a little oasis just outside of the town center. The rooms were so clean and the AC was strong which we needed. The restaurant was great and so accommodating with our meals. All of the staff was wonderful and friendly. And the infinity pool was the cherry on top!

Nice comfortable rooms and relaxing pool. Great to have the restaurant there. It's only $10 to take a taxi from the center of San Ignacio. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Booked tours and a ride to the airport for me. Beautiful property. Wish they would plant more trees by the road to drown the noise some. Would definitely stay here again.

This place is where you need to stay! Great infinity pool upgraded my room twice since I had to extend my stay while traveling to Tikal. They are over the top above expectation friendly and had a bottle of wine for my wife which greatly appreciated. This hotel is quite at night and on a nature botanic garden

We experienced a very enjoyable stay at Caribbean Shores. It is well-maintained, the staffing is wonderful and knowledgeable, and the facility is conveniently located to the beach, great restaurants, and attractions. Particularly notable was the staff. All were extremely friendly and helpful. We had to leave early on our last day and would have missed breakfast, but the cook prepared us some fresh banana bread and left coffee ready to be brewed. We also had an air conditioner malfunction one night; the manager was prompt to take action, despite the late hour. She also arranged various tours for us during the week and helped us find a medical clinic for a traveling companion who needed care. Can't say enough about the staff. The facilities were clean and comfortable. Caribbean Shores is not right on the beach, but a 2 minute walk gets one there. There is a well-maintained pool on site, as well. Breakfasts were tasty and hearty and served with ample coffee. Rooms were clean and functional. There are several excellent restaurants within walking distance, and a short drive into Hopkins Village provided even more choices with many small locally-run eateries. The Barracuda Bar and Grill, Maxim's, Driftwood Bar and Pizza Shack, and the Lucky Lobster were especially good. All in all we very much enjoyed our stay in Hopkins and would definitely return to Caribbean Shores.

After two nights in some sub-par rooms near Belize City, Caribbean Shores felt like a luxury stay. A few minor things need attention, but overall, this place was clean with very nice amenities in the room. Georgia, the cook, was delightful and made delicious breakfasts. It was a short walk to the beach, a few minutes drive to the main part of town, and we enjoyed a refreshing swim in the pool after a hot day of jungle hiking. We would definitely stay here again.

Room was clean and spacious. Bathroom was nice; recently renovated. Great common area, nice pool, short walk to the beach which was great. Breakfast was included and was terrific. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hopkins. Roads in and around Hopkins are being repaired so that should no longer be an issue

Really nice well kept old building, classic architecture with a lot of charm. The entire staff is fantastic Georgina makes you breakfast every morning always perfect. Extremely helpful other travelers were very friendly. The pool is immaculate. It is by far the best place for the dollar in Hopkins

The staff was awesome and always greeted you with a smile, close to other activities, walking distance to restaurants, bars, always felt safe and Pool, walkways, common areas kept clean!

Great hotel and great location. Easy to walk to stores, restaurants and roadside food stands. Amazing panoramic view on the rooftop, with nice 4ft pool and lots of seating. Complimentary breakfast was delicious every morning. Good lunch and dinner menus. Snacks, drinks and first aid items available for purchase in lobby. You can easily get a taxi or local bus to anywhere in the city.

Very helpful staff with our last minute reservation and the restaurant food was good. Room-Little odd with the only partly frosted glass bathroom door and window into the bathroom thus needing curtains. Pool area was nice and clean, great view.

The staff were very friendly. The restaurant had good food. We loved the pool. We felt safe and comfortable as a gay couple, which can be hard to find. Thank you!

Great price and cute room. Wasn't the cleanest but loved having the windows in our room and the rooftop pool was nice.

Truly enjoyed the stay. The price was worth it. The food was so delicious. Reasonable price. Hotel staff was very nice abd helpful. What i wasnt to excited about bathroom door glass not being fully covered. Its cool if you come by yourself. All and all. Great place. Will truly be back

Location is great, just by the sea. The swimming pool area is definitely a game changer, you find yourself spending the whole day by the pool before you even know it. Big kudos to the dorm beds ! Finally a place that does it right ! You have AC, curtains for privacy purposes, ridiculously huge lockers, double pillows, towel, comfortable mattress, small personal light, personal shelf and power plugs.

Great dorms with privacy curtains, private lamp and a small shelf for each bed. Good AC, very comfortable beds, amazing facilities, great pool area with an additional small pool in the nearby hostel you could use. The nearby place also has a fully equipped kitchen you could use as you need. The restaurant on site was really really good with more than fair prices!!

We were greeted with a nice and thorough explanation and tour of the property at check in. The bed in the room was very comfy and the view of the ocean from the room was spectacular. The pool was a nice hang out spot and we even had access to the pool and facilities of the hostel/hotel behind it. Would stay again!

The hostel is very nice and clean. The access to pool and dock are a great plus in the hot weather. They also provided pool towels for free.

Best hostel so far after 3 weeks in Central America. First of all, great outside pool with sunchairs. This a hostel/hotel/bar & restaurant, so you have everything you need in one place. It was really clean, in a great location, super friendly and helpful staff (my ferry to MX got cancelled and they gave me great advice on how to move on), happy hour deals, good WiFi, separate showers and bathrooms, free water refills. The beds had lockers under them, some locker doors were really small and could not fit a big backpack, some could. Also, each bed had privacy cutrains, little table for your personal items & power outlets, reading light, free towels. No wonder it is hard to book a stay here, for 15 USD this is an amazing place! I arrived here from San Ignacio, and random people (locals) in the bus were all recommending Sandbar when they heard I am headed to San Pedro, so, you know this place is famous and for a very good reason!

This is by far the best hotel that I have stayed at while in San Pedro. Food is excellent and I love the ability to swim out in front of the hotel.

This was a stunningly beautiful property! My mom and I stayed in a casita, and it was so lovely to wake up and read on the hammock outside our room. Both pools were wonderful and we loved the poolside service. The cocktails and food here were amazing - both the bar menu and the sitdown restaurant. We also took a snorkeling tour through the hotel with Rene and Jacinto, and they took great care of us! Rene was a safe and fantastic driver and guide on the boat, and Jacinto was an extremely knowledgeable snorkeling guide. The front desk also made it super easy for us to arrange transportation into town. Wonderful stay!

The location is great - right on the water with a lot of beach space and 2 pools. The pools had a good amount of chair and umbrellas so it never felt crowded. The room was great - comfortable bed, clean, good bathroom. Breakfast and dinner were both great

The service here is impeccable. The bed was super comfortable. 2 pools so you can spread out, plus some buildings each had their own small pool so it never felt crowded. I'll be back for sure.

Victoria House, San Pedro, and Belize were a 10 out of 10! This was the first time we had stayed at a smaller, non-all-inclusive resort and it was a great experience! I loved how we didn't have to wake up early to save chairs, there was always space on the beach, by the pool, at dinner and the bar! The staff was amazing, especially our bar tender Amy - the food was exceptional. The island was safe and fun to be able to go into town on a golf cart for shopping, dinner, or excursions. The excursions were pricey, but totally worth it - we did the shorter day trip (715 am - 3 pm) to the Mayan ruins which included a quick flight, a lagoon boat ride, and plenty of time at the ruins with a local lunch to end the day. The only negative is the lack of a full beach (there is very little sand) and an ocean wall and the water was full of sea grass - but evidently it isn't like that year round (the sea grass that is) - you could get in the ocean from these long boat docks and then sections were buoyed off. We did however see a lot of ocean life from the dock making that part neat! We also enjoyed a constant breeze off the water - making it the PERFECT weather.

Amazing location and this is a classic beach side community near the center of it all. We enjoyed the pool and three exposure ocean views from our perch on the second floor of unit 1b. We also used the dive shop conveniently located about 50 feet away on the dock. The pool is perfect and intimate. The night security was nice to know someone was watching over the property.

We really enjoyed our stay at Isla Bonita Yacht Club. It was a quiet spot in busy San Pedro but still close to restaurants and other activities. Our room was clean and spacious and we enjoyed the peaceful outdoor sitting area with a view of the pool and the ocean. The kitchenette had what we needed to make coffee every morning, and do a little cooking. The best aspect of our stay was the friendliness of the staff and their willingness to go the extra mile: we left a set of keys behind when we checked out, and when they found them, they contacted us immediately and got the keys on a flight to Belize City where we picked them up at the airport as we waited for our flight back to the US. Wow - we really appreciated their extra care and quick response! Isla Bonita Yacht Club is a great choice if you want a peaceful, relaxing stay, but don't have a big resort budget, or don't want to be isolated in a far-flung hotel. It was a great way to experience San Pedro!

Isla Bonita Yacht Club was the perfect location for us - just out of the San Pedro activity zone but close enough to walk to most everything. The room was very comfortable (minus the bed - it was too soft and should be replaced). Drinking water was provided, there was plenty of hot water for showers, there was an air conditioning unit in the bedroom and the living room. Staff were great and very friendly. The grounds staff is constantly working. The security staff at night were very friendly. The pool was convenient and close to all the rooms. There's an outdoor shower to rinse off salt water and snorkel/mask/fins or fishing equipment. The pier abutting the property hosts Belize Diving Adventures. We did two snorkel trips with them - very friendly and knowledgeable. You can snorkel right off the pier and see rays and fish.

Great communication with friendly staff. Problem with out booked room upon arrival but staff had already upgraded us to a larger room highlighting their focus on service. Rooms were neat and clean and all appear to have ocean views. No beach out front but located on waterfront (concrete wall at water) Some construction nearby but nothing to complain about. Walk to town along beach was easy. Ample parking out front for our golf cart. Town can be busy with the carts and parking in town can be full. Two close stores for grocieries made it easy yo eat in. Nice quiet crowd within resort. Pool was small but did the trick for cooling off. Would definitely stay here again.

Staff were very helpful and kind. We had power outages one evening that caused our WiFi to go out. Equipment was replaced and service was restored before we left. Staff offered to move us to a different room but we opted to use the WiFi by the pool when we needed it. The pool and grounds were kept very clean. Our unit 24 had a front porch and a back porch with seats and a table. The five gallons of water provided was also a great bonus. Many dining options are a short walk down the beach.

The building is made up of about 12 condos which are rented out on behalf of the respective owners. Our unit was comfortable. Even though it was just the two of us, there was a second bedroom with two beds, plus a second bathroom in the hallway. We had a ground floor unit which was great as we could walk right out onto the beach. There is no lobby, but their office is easy to access down by the pool, and the people there are very helpful. We enjoyed the location which is next door to Ramone's Village. The beach at the Palms is OK, but we would go over to Ramone's which is said to be the nicest beach downtown. Ramone's has a great restaurant, and they have a really nice dock which is a treat to swim from, and nice to visit in the evening. They also offer diving/snorkeling trips. The overall location is excellent. The location is good for places to eat, drink, get coffee, gifts, etc. The airport is close by, and the marine terminal is just a short golf cart ride away (the Palms picked us up and dropped us off. Everyone in Belize was super friendly, and all spoke English which to us was important. All in all we would rent there again. My only complaint was that some of the other guests were cigarette smokers and their second hand smoke made it's way into our patio area as well as the living area when the doors were open.

The decor is a little dated on the inside but the property itself was perfect for our needs. Our kitchen was fully stocked with cookware and right next door is a grocery store and another one right down the road. There was ample parking for our golf cart and other guests golf carts as well. There is a small pool that they keep pretty clean as well and for the most part very quiet. Everything is basically within walking distance to the town center and restaurants along the beach. The staff was very accommodating and helped us with whatever we needed. The views from our room were spectacular ( I recommend booking an ocean view suite and asking for a hammock). The only thing I would suggest to management is maybe adding an additional blanket in the rooms for those evenings that can get a bit cooler. Also a warning to the guests, do not lose or forget your beach towels as you will be charged a $25 fee for each lost towel. We definitely enjoyed our stay and we would definitely recommend this place to our friends and family or come back for a future visit.

We had such a wonderful stay at this property. Gueto checked us in and was most efficient and helpful. Melanie answered our questions and was extremely friendly and helpful. Ms. Anna was equally as nice when scheduling our covid tests. The security guys were awesome when we needed anything after hours and worked hard to keep the grounds beautifully groomed. Our 2-bedroom condo was just what we needed for our group of 5. We had everything we needed for toiletries and towels. The pool was clean and cool. Our favorites were being able to walk to Pineapple’s for meals and seeing the most beautiful sunrises off the back deck area. The hammock was enjoyable as well. We had a great stay and would definitely return to The Palms for another stay.

The property was beautiful and well kept. The housekeeper kept our condo immaculate every day. The location of the property is perfect. Within walking distance of most things. It is also right next door to Ramon’s which is the only swimmable beach other than secrets beach, and has a great snorkeling spot out off the deck. We spent mornings and evenings on our balcony enjoying the ocean view, salty air, and tropical feel. All the staff were wonderful. The pool was a perfect escape from the heat and humidity and a great way to wind down in the evening. We could not have been happier with our stay and will definitely be back!!!

Our stay at Vanilla Hills was wonderful. Stay here. You will completely enjoy it. Vanilla Hills is in a great location that is only a few minutes out of San Ignacio. It is like staying in a nature preserve. Pool is gorgeous and the restaurant and staff are top notch. Carina at the front desk was a joy to interact with. She also brought us drinks down to the pool after a day of exploring the ATM cave and was our waitress that night as well. She was so wonderful and friendly. The owner went over and above to help me fix my glasses that had broken by loaning us a small screw driver. Felt like we were staying with family. WONDERFUL place and stay!!! Highly, highly recommend.

Staff did a great job arranging tours and taxis for us during our stay. Pool is great! Nice view from the pool.

A stay at Vanilla Hills Lodge was nothing short of exceptional. Right from the beginning, the communication with Claudia was smooth and easy, setting the tone for a welcoming experience. The organization, professionalism, and warm greeting upon arrival by the staff made us feel truly valued. The excellent hotel boasts a prime location. The cleanliness and comfort of the accommodations exceeded our expectations. The property's beauty and relaxing atmosphere were complemented by the outdoor dining room, offering a picturesque backdrop for delicious meals and birdwatching. The pool, overlooking the hills, provided a delightful space for both relaxation and fun. Our spacious room in the trees was beyond gorgeous and provided such an amazing retreat with fantastic views. The daily towel animal creations by housekeeping added a fun touch to our stay. The hospitality at Vanilla Hills Lodge is truly outstanding. Claudia and the team were consistently friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They went above and beyond by organizing all our transportation needs and two fabulous excursions to Tikal and the ATM cave. The staff added a personal touch to our trip by checking on us often and providing valuable advice on other local attractions, restaurants, and amenities. The overall experience was a true testament to the dedication of Claudia and the staff to providing exceptional hospitality. We highly recommend Vanilla Hills Lodge. Thank you to Claudia and the entire staff!

Vanilla Hills Lodge is the type of place you would like to get stranded. Quiet, beautiful, well run. I feel like I could write a book about how much we liked this place, but in the interest of brevity, I'll keep it short and sweet. Claudia and her staff should be so proud of the multi-faceted experience they offer to their guests. We had pleasant and numerous interactions with her, and staff members Carina, Mark and Robin, and every time we were left with a smile on our faces. Our treehouse (Coconut) was perfect in every way, so private, so cozy, so comfortable. The outdoor shower is wonderful. We ate two breakfasts and two dinners in the restaurant, everything was delicious with great attention to detail. The pool (which never closes) was a fantastic way to either start or finish our days. Resident cats Tom and Jerry ("the true owners" according to Claudia) were lovely. There are abundant birds and other animals that either visit or live on the property. My fondest wish is that we will be able to visit again.

This is hidden gem and secret!! Everything about this place was fabulous!! The pool was huge and beautiful. Our first day Mark graciously brought us drinks and towels!! The staff was very friendly. The food and drinks were very reasonably priced and whoever the chef is HE is extraordinaire!!! The presentation of the food was AMAZING and delicious!! We enjoyed breakfast and dinner the 2 nights we were there. Our treehouse was by the duck pond and beautifully designed!! The bathroom had an outdoor shower but don’t let that fool you it is completely encircled with top portion giving view of outdoor forested area. There was a frog moat around the dining area with beautiful vegetation and flowers. Many different animals and birds come to snack on fruit the hotel puts out for them!! Just everything was EXCEPTIONAL. I wish we would have stayed longer and the owner Claudia was helpful and very sweet. I highly recommend this place if you are spending some time in San Ignacio. LOVED IT!!!

My wife and I traveled to Caye Caulker for 5 days. Dream Cabanas was a wonderful place to stay while in Caye Caulker. The room was large enough for the both of us. It had AC and a fan for when the weather got hot. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was great for the both of us. The room had a coffee machine and small refrigerator which was very useful. I really enjoyed the layout outside of the rooms. It has a jungle vibe to it. Each room has a porch with chairs where I sat every morning and had coffee. This is also a gated area, where you need a key to get into the hotels, which made us feel even more safe. The staff was the best part of the place. Extremely friendly and sociable. They helped us with setting up taxis to the airport from Belize City. They were always very helpful and accommodating. The location is very nice. It is a short walk to the main roads. It is not located on the crowded streets, which made it more peaceful. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.

The housing is located on the quiet street of Caye Caulker, but at the same time everything is 3-10 minutes away as the island itself is small. if you want to rest well (Caye Caulker is kinda a party island) - choose Dream Cabanas! We had the best time here! the room has AC, coffee/tea, and all the necessary things to have your own breakfast on the terrace! They offer bike rentals for 2,5 USD which we used almost every day as it allows you to also travel to the North island to see the crocodiles. Grocery store is like 1 min away and tons of cafes and restaurants nearby. The property looks really dreamy in the evening with the lights and the host was very helpful during all stay! Room was cleaned every day and we even got some great tips for exploring the very south of the Island where is a beautiful white sand beach which is more popular for locals!

Property is super cute off a residential street in Caye Caulker, probably like a 8min walk to the main front strip of the island. Very safe location and also quiet. The rooms are lovely, clean, comfortable and well maintained. The rooms has a fridge and they top you up with a jug of drinking water everyday. There is a small coffee/tea station with sugar, kettle, mugs, glasses and spoons. AC and a ceiling fan, two small bed side stands, several power outlets near the bed, you can get an iron from the main office. Good storage with clothes hangers. Lovely bathroom with hand soap and small soap bars and plenty of towels.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property for around 4 days. It was clean and water refills in the fridge everyday. I am glad we chose this location to stay, it was affordable and perfect for a couple. The units were up to date and seemed better than everywhere else we passed on the island. AC worked excellent, I would pass on using the bikes as they weren’t in great shape but would recommend renting some as it isn’t in the heart of town. The lady was also very nice and gave us recommendations multiple times. Loved it!!

Like a small oasis of calm providing a feeling of home and a pleasant place to relax on a hot day. The staff is very nice, friendly and helpful. Always very happy to give advice, help or direct with helpful instructions. They helped arrange a scenic flight over the big blue hole, taxi, snorkeling and more. The rooms and amenities were practical, super clean and the ambiance of the entire compound cozy and romantic. We spent several very enjoyable days of our vacation here and would love to return.

The location was perfect to walk back into town without our luggage. Did take a taxi when we had luggage. Shane greeted us and was amazing with getting us fresh towels. The pool was a perfect dip pool. It was easy to park our golf cart at this hotel. It was great that they had a little lock box outside the room so you could leave your key when doing water excursions.

We love caye casa! This is our second time staying and not the last! The beds are so comfy, good aircon, and nice hot water. The place is clean and in a great location. The pool is nice and cool. Jake is amazing and very helpful! We highly recommend!!

Very pretty beachside house. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. The sun beds and small pool were a bonus. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bella Vista Resort in San Pedro. The staff was incredibly helpful and went out of their way to make sure we felt comfortable and well cared for throughout our visit. We stayed in the Tarpon Room, which was even cuter in person—with just the right touch of Belizean charm. The space was perfect, with a cozy living room, a small kitchen area, and a patio to enjoy the breeze. The pool is in a perfect spot with a beautiful view of the ocean. It was so relaxing to float in the pool while looking out at the water, and they have cute lounge chairs right by the shore to sit back and enjoy the sea breeze. It was about a 15-minute golf cart ride into town, which made it easy to explore while still enjoying a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. We’d absolutely recommend Bella Vista Resort and would love to stay again!

This was one of the best vacations we've ever taken. The room we stayed in (Sting Ray) was 5 ft. from the pool with a beautiful ocean view. The room itself was laid out nicely. 3 separate rooms, a "living room" with an ocean view, a bedroom and a separate bathroom with a shower and double sinks. It was SO clean and nice. We were treated with a free breakfast of three different choices each day. I especially liked the Belizean breakfast with fry jacks. We also ate dinner at the restaurant several days. The paella and grouper with shrimp in a cream sauce were especially wonderful. In spite of this resort being so beautiful, what really made it special was the people. They all made us feel as if we were part of their family. Each one went out of their way to make sure we were happy. Thank you Linda for making our mornings great with those awesome breakfasts. Thanks to Manny for being our server most meals. Thank you Gian, Zamir, Pablo, Enrique and ALL the other employees who made our stay so special in so many ways. We were also fortunate to meet Mike and Sandy, the owners who live in South Dakota when they're not at the resort. Nice people. Thank you all again and we can hardly wait until we return to this paradise.

My partner and I had an incredible time at this property. The location is beautiful absolutely stunning. Very close to other areas to explore on the island. Walkable and bikeable and of course the resort will drive you wherever you need to go. The property is well maintained and your needs are constantly being met. We loved our room overlooking the ocean and even though there was music every night and we were overlooking the bar and pool also, it was always finished between 9 and 10. I have never know such attentive and friendly staff. I would go back to this resort just for the staff alone. In fact we were both sad to say goodbye!! First time for me to be that sad to leave a resort. We got very lucky with the restaurant also. The food was absolutely delicious. I believe we loved everything we ate. We would definitely go back. Thank you to the owners who were really friendly and constantly checking up on us to make sure our needs were met. And finally again, thank you to the staff. We loved you all !!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Bella Vista. The whole staff was engaging and friendly and really worked together to make all their guests happy and comfortable. We stayed in the sea turtle room and my first thought was, oh no this is going to be noisy! But honestly it was great. The music and live entertainment was very mellow and low key. After dinner we sat in our room and just enjoyed listening. Restaurant closed at 10 so it was never an issue. The pool was great and never crowded. We were blessed with breakfast included and let me tell you it was wonderful! Actually every meal we ate there was wonderful and drinks as well. Ms. Linda went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. I loved the fact that included was transportation from and to the San Pedro airport was included. Honestly everything was perfect, and I could go on. Thanks to a great staff that works so well together. I hope we are able to return.

We just returned from 4 nights in the Tarpon guest house at Bella Vista. We throughly enjoyed our stay. The staff, especially, were incredible and really took pride in making sure every guest was enjoying themselves. Having one of the best restaurants right on the property was a huge plus and convenience. If you wanted to venture into town or over to Secret beach neither was too far away in a golf cart ride. We enjoyed the much quieter feel to the area compared to downtown San Pedro. Yet there was still plenty of offerings within walking distance, even a tour company right off the pier for water excursions. The pool area was a place to relax or mingle with other guests. Only thing to note is several of the guest houses are closer to the main road so you might encounter some road noise in the morning from the large dump trucks hauling materials for all the new construction on the island.

This hotel is located in downtown San Pedro on the oceanfront. You can easily walk most of San Pedro directly from the hotel. You feel safe walking during the daytime and at dusk. There are many restaurants, no chain restaurants but all locally owned restaurant of various quality. There is a restaurant at the hotel but we didn't try it. Keep in mind that in San Pedro there are no all inclusives. The hotel is very clean and provides filtered water. The small pool is very clean. We went the first week of April and we had no mosquitoes at all. The streets of San Pedro are very narrow and busy, you need to be very cautious because it can be very crowded with pedestrians, golf carts, motorcycles, bicycles... and there are no sidewalks. There are very few cars and trucks anywhere, just more golf carts than you can imagine. Rent a golf cart if you want to go to Secret Beach, the only really nice beach on the island, about 40 minutes by golf cart. If you do rent a golf cart, just be aware of that all streets are very bumpy everywhere. We flew from Belize City to San Pedro, a 15 minute flight by puddle jumper. It cost a lot more than taking the ferry, but it was worth it. The ferry is 90 minutes one way. This hotel has a relationship with Ambergris Divers, and I was able to arrange my initial scuba dives at the hotel lobby. Also, Ambergris Divers is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel so there's no problem just walking over there to do everything in person there.

Our family stayed at the Sunbreeze Suites for about 3 weeks in May and had an amazing time in San Pedro. First of all, the accommodations were exactly what we needed for a family of 3 with fridge, stove and utensils that you would find in an Airbnb. The Sunbreeze is also perfectly located, right in the heart of San Pedro which makes is so easy to get around and get groceries. Second, the staff at the hotel was amazing. We needed to change rooms when we arrived as the pool was too accessible to our 2-year-old son being on the 1st floor and the staff was responsive to our request and made the necessary room change. We also needed to use a babysitter a couple of days during our vacation and the hotel facilitated our request and provided 2 wonderful helpers at a reasonable cost. Lastly, we also celebrated our 8th year anniversary during this trip and the hotel staff took the time to help us celebrate by leaving us a note in our room.

We stayed in an Ocean Front Suite (306) with an excellent sea view yet enough privacy with the trees. The suite is large, clean and comfortable despite a bit dated but anticipated for the area. Pool is small but reasonable size compared to properties in town. There’s not much “beach” in town. The hotel is at a prime location & occupies the nicest stretch of beach front. Relaxing in our balcony or sitting in beach front lounge chairs is great. The in house restaurant is of fair quality but nice to have a drink. Everything you need is within 5-15 minutes walking. If you are not going far to Secret Beach (2-2.5 hours round trip on a bumpy roads) etc, there’s no need to rent a golf cart. We highly recommend this hotel for its central location, super friendly staff and comfort, Caliente Restaurant for its food quality, price & services, Palapa Restaurant at the pier for a drink, and Inland Adventures for snorkeling tours (very flexible & excellent staff).

Great property! Staff was helpful and friendly. Property is clean, inside and out, one of the cleanest along the beach. They provide beach towels at the front desk, this is a great benefit if you plan on using the pool or beaches. This place feels more like a resort compared to nearby properties. It is located right on the beach, in the heart of San Pedro. Walk along the beach to many bars/restaurants and nightlife. Walk 2 block to shopping, casino, and more bars/restaurants. Very convenient location. I must warn, there is a small cemetery right next door, right behind another hotel. But you might get a glimpse of it from 1 or 2 private terraces, chances are that you will never know it exist. To summarize: When I return to San Pedro, I will most likely stay at this same hotel. The location cannot be beat!

Nice accommodations with comfortable bed and working A/C. We got an ocean suite I think our room was 106 and the view from the balcony was incredible. Plus it was convenient to be on the first floor because we had access to the pool, Jambel Jerk Pit, and the beach. This was perfect especially at night when we wanted to walk along the beach and feel the breeze. The room comes with a nice kitchen area and full size fridge with a pitcher for cold, filtered water provided by the hotel. There was a TV but we didn't feel the need to use it since there's so much to do on the island. The suites are right in the middle of the city so we were walking distance from pretty much everything we wanted to see! The staff was also super nice and helpful!

Loved the pool in the morning. They upgraded our room which was nice. (not sure why they did). They beds were so comfortable we peeked at the mattress brand. Dinner portions were quite large and delicious. We chose it because it was close to the airport and it was our last night in the country. But I can see where it would be a great location to stay and do/go to some of the nearby attractions from and return to comfy beds and the pool that is big enough to actually do some laps. Also, the pool was a good temperature--not too cold.

We stayed for 4 days and it was great! The restaurant has authentic Belizean food, the pool was perfect with a fun vibe and we were able to order drinks and food to the pool. Wine bar and coffee shop attached! Best place in Belize City!!

Used the hotel on 2 differen nights, on the sunday they sell day passes and the pool was FULL on kids and families, no room to use the pool, then on Wednesday coming back again a swim coach was teaching kids to swim, some very noisy. There is nothing wrong with that for the local kids BUT hotel so let guests know prior to booking. Staff were good, helpful. Shuttle service good. Breakfast good and not expensive. 2nd night booking price was double whatcwe paid the first nite so I asked hotel for a rate, much cheaper. Again i am wondering about using the online booking services.

Was sad to see the day we were leaving the pool was closed for 3-4 hours in the morning. Traveling with kids they looked forward to using the pool the day we were leaving and was upset. Feel like some sort of warning should have been made.

Beautiful property and great room. Only downfall was that every day many tons of kids are in the pool getting lessons and screaming and playing. They have a class that lasts from morning into the evening- we weren’t even able to use the pool.

Ramon's Village Resort is literally heaven on earth. We had a delay in our flight that led us to missing our ferry to the island and we missed a night we had paid for. They were extremely accommodating in helping us stay another night at the end of our trip as opposed to missing a night entirely. The staff is unbelievable. They are friendly, accommodating, and so welcoming. Nate from the bar is AWESOME. Yuri at the Front Desk is so sweet and welcoming, alongside Jose who helped us stay longer because we loved this place SO much!! It has everything you need if you want to lay around and relax vacation or go out and adventure each day, everything is at your fingertips. We rented snorkel gear for $10 US Dollars a day and saw so much sea life without having to go out on an excursion. (We like lazy Vacations) The pool is heated and has a hot tub area which we enjoyed after swimming in the salt water. There are hammocks to lounge and beach chairs that you don't have to rent, just walk outside and enjoy. Truly, this place is AMAZING! We stayed for three extra days because we couldn't stand the thought of leaving! Spa is also very nice! Had a mani pedi with a lovely lady who had worked there for twelve years, and she told me wonderful stories about the owner and how she loved working there. She was amazing! 10 out of 10! Stay here, it is the best.

We loved our stay here. The staff was incredibly friendly and extremely accommodating to our very large group's every need. They truly went above and beyond. Pineapples was an amazing restaurant with some of the best food on the island. Our bed was so comfortable that I missed it when we left! The room was so cozy and was perfect. The 24 hr pool was a huge plus as well! Beach access was not great-they were pumping sand with very, very loud equipment to the other side of the resort so you couldn't swim-but the view was wonderful! They did have some great docs to go and look out on! TIP: Go to the dock at night and look over! SOOOO many fish at night! HUGE! Even some nurse sharks. That was one of our favorite things to do there!

Beautiful secluded jungle-like property in San Pedro town with a very pretty pool. Ramon’s has its own fleet of boats right in front of the property that we used for a fishing tour (caught lots of snapper that they cleaned and fileted for us that we immediately had cooked in 3 delicious ways), and a snorkeling tour that was super fun. Diving was also available. We were able to rent golf carts on the property as well. The food was yummy at Coconuts restaurant and Tropical Als mixes up some great smoothies. The staff was very accommodating. Loved this place.

Spent five days at Ramone‘s after coming over from the Aaliyah Marriott hotel. We really enjoyed the laid-back vibe, the beautiful pool, one of the best beaches and of course Ramon‘s dive shop. Our only complaint would be the AC units are allowed and it was hard to keep the room in a constant temperature in order to sleep. I highly suggest they put ceiling fans in their units. Although it worked out great and was better for us in the long run. We didn’t realize that it had didn’t have television. We will be back.

Helpful staff, and a beautiful resort providing considerable shade to help keep you cool on those hot island days. Pool is great and pretty large. Ate lunch there once and it was all right. Appreciated the work to clear the seaweed from the beach, and we enjoyed the lounge chairs and hammocks they had out there. I can't speak to the boating/snorkeling opportunities, but there were many options and those who took them seemed thrilled.

This place was exactly what we were looking for. Smaller and quieter than the larger resorts, but still had all the amenities we were looking for. Pool, hot tub, swim up bar, restaurants at sister resort next door and some really good food options just across the street from the resort entrance.

We are frequent visitors to the island we always stay at Belizean Shores. It’s quaint, small, unpretentious and perfect for our needs. We love the pool with swim up bar and the people are friendly and accommodating. We just got back and are already planning our next trip.

Beautiful property located at the shore where you can conveniently get picked up by the boats for snorkeling tour. Has a nice swim up bar/pool as well.

Enjoy our stay at this resort. It was quiet, relaxing and conveniently located on the beach. Staff were really friendly and accommodating. The swimming was awesome and had a swim up bar. Highly recommend and will return again to stay.

The property is well kept. It’s beautiful and they have thought of everything! The pool area is stunning and clean. You can swim up to the bar area for beverages. The staff is constantly welcoming you and asking if you have any needs. The stay was wonderful! The kitchen is stocked with everything you need, Antonio, Esmeralda and I believe it was Carolina we’re all exceptional. It’s apparent the manager there is wonderful because the employees love their jobs and excel at customer service! We booked a snorkeling tour at the property! It was marvelous. We will be back!

Great location. Nice swim up bar and pool. Extremely friendly staff. Very accommodating

The Staff were amazing! Always quick to help and assist us. The swim up bar was so fun to hang out in during the evenings and the bar tender was hilarious and made amazing drinks. The room was more of a condo which was lovely. Very clean, extra towels, pillows etc.. Loved that they supplied us with a water container so we didn't have to purchase our own bottled water.

The first thing that stands out is the quality of the staff. From the entire front desk team, who are always welcoming, smiling and willing to help. To Alex at the swim up bar who is fun, always willing to make whatever you want and even give good suggestions. Staff is wonderful. The rooms are facing the water, and have amazing views. The room we had with a loft was great size, with a well stocked kitchen for making snacks and even meals if you wanted to. Beds are super comfortable. Overall, a great place to visit and launch your snorkeling and other excursions from.

They did not provide breakfast at the resort, however each unit is equipped with a small kitchen and we made rice and beans, egg and fresh fruit with Marie Sharp hot sauce every day and it was wonderful. The resort is very well taken care of, the employees are very pleasant, genuine, and helpful. It is part of a group of resorts, there is a larger resort (Coco Beach) just two resorts away with an easy walk from the beach. At Coco Beach they have a giant swimming pool with a slide and cliff jumping feature that is pretty awesome that we took advantage of as we were told it is ok to use their pool. The pool at Belizean Shores is also very nice, but the whole resort is smaller, therefore the pool is smaller. It is well maintained, the hot tub had a few issues while we were there but the staff quickly responded and the hot tub was repaired and it was nice to have the pool/hot tub with a swim up bar. There is also a tennis court/basketball court, ping pong, and bikes available for daily rent at Belizean Shores. And, the dock has an excellent dive/snorkeling adventure shop attached with one of the best outfits in the San Pedro area with kayaks available for daily use to take out into the bay and snorkel. As well, because Belizean Shores is about 3 miles north of San Pedro, it is closer to Secret Beach, and away from the hustle bustle of S.P. while also easily accessible by bike or golf cart.

The whole resort was amazing. The room's amenities were great with a water cooler, fully equipped kitchenette, fridge, and small toaster oven. Bathroom had plenty of towels and washclothes and shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Our hot water was out when we arrived and the staff fixed it while we were out on our excursions the next day. Comfy bed and living area with a pool towel provided which was a nice big size and house keeping came every other day. All the staff was amazing, accommodating, and nice. The pool and the dock on site for excursions are the selling point for this resort. The pool was plenty big with multiple places for shade or sun in the water and out of the water. The swim up bar had lots of drinks to pick from and food could be ordered to your room or the pool. Honestly its a dream.

This is a lovely place on top of the hills. The pool is new and inviting, especially during the scorcher of a spring this year! Ms. Paula and crew are so friendly and helpful. It was a quiet-no road noise, just the occasional monkey dropping things on the roof at night😊. The ac worked well and the beds were comfortable. The restaurant was delicious, great breakfast and dinners. Just be aware, it is at the top of the hill-a steep long hill to walk up-taxis are available though! The place next door (cahal pech village resort) also has a nice pool and bar you can use for a small fee, for a change of pace)

Really great staff who went above and beyond to make our stay nice. They were in the process of making the pool area really nice! The pool looked refreshing but we didn't go in it. Cons: the room we stayed in was pretty small and rustic. But for the short time we were there, it was fine.

I had a very relaxing stay at the well-appointed lodging. The newly installed pool was a pleasant and welcomed surprise, especially since it wasn't listed at the time of booking. Upon arrival, guests are greeted and escorted to their rooms. The onsite restaurant and staff were wonderful, and despite the current expansion happening on the grounds, we had an enjoyable and relaxing stay. The eco-friendly toiletries provided were a nice touch. Conveniently located next to the Cahal Pech Archaeological Reserve, which we were able to see from our room, is a nice stop, as the other sights are hours drive away. There are a few restaurants located within walking distance from the residence. However, please note that the walk down several steep streets to the downtown area is not easy, especially in the heat. It takes about 20 minutes, and requires a climb back up to the residence, so it's not suitable for everyone. If you prefer, you can take a cab from the welcome center to the downtown area for around $10 BZE.There are a few restaurants located within walking distance from the residence. We stayed for 3 nights in mid May at the tail end of a heat wave. We had 2 king rooms SR3 & SR2 directly under the restaurant. With the ceiling fan and air conditioning running we barely heard a thing and it wasn't an issue. The property is as described on their website, comfortable and with very helpful and friendly staff. Always willing to help. They have recently opened a pool which is lovely to cool down at the end of the day (but there isn't any real shade down there if going earlier in the day). Definitely order breakfast the night before because their restaurant works via a que system so if you get behind other orders it is slower than typical service (in my opinion). We ordered an appetizer one night, put our dinner orders in at the same time then realized the appetizer wasn't enough for the 4 of us. We asked for another one and were told it would come after the dinners. This was for ceviche, something you scoop on a plate, so not the most efficient system. If we were in the area we'd stay here again. Note the hill up is ridiculously steep. You won't be walking up or down, so don't be misled if that's your plan it won't work.

We were so delighted with this hotel. The staff went above and beyond for us. The manager, Paula, and the rest of her team went above and beyond to be friendly and accommodating; Paula even made sure we didn’t have to figure out how to get to our tour group and set up pick up for us. We stayed in one of the honeymoon suites and it was so comfortable! Huge bed, air conditioning, walk in shower and a jacuzzi were all part of the experience. The hotel is up a really steep hill so we got the benefit of beautiful views while eating at the restaurant. It also has a nice little park-like yard where local birds and monkeys come to nest and eat throughout the day, which was so nice. The hotel is located literally next door to the Cahal Pech Mayan ruins, so adding that to your plans when staying here is a must. It’s a smaller archeological site, but still interesting. When we were there, they were in the process of building a huge pool area, so I look forward to seeing how it turns out! Everyone we met here was so friendly and helpful. We had an amazing time and will, without a doubt, stay here again when we come back to visit.

This was a really nice place and I would recommend however, the rooms are much smaller than they seem. The location is wonderful and close to everything. If you're doing excursions you are a 5 min walk from the docks. Grocery store with everything you'd need right around the corner. Also a 6 min walk to the airport. AC was strong and Wifi worked well. The pool was very nice and refreshing to have. The area around the pool was also a really nice place to hang out with nice chairs and tables. The best part about this place was the rooftop! I don't know why this isn't advertised more or talked about more in the comments because the view up there is AMAZING. Every single night my husband and I got dinner to go just so we could sit up there and watch the sunset. We stayed in Belize for one week and never saw better sunsets or views like we did there, I think it's worth staying here just for this :) Plus there is a restaurant at the hotel that serves breakfast and lunch from 7am-3pm so that is a nice option to have. The staff was also nice and super friendly, let us check in early.

The Location! Location! Perfectly situated on the lagoon! Perfect place in the center. Mike the owner is amazing! He is excellent in communication and very quick with solution. Internet was good. A little patchy at night but overall good! The pool and outdoor space was excellent add on! Mike kept the pool very clean which we appreciated very much because of our kids. Very nice property! And Location. Extremely close to resturants and Delis.

This hotel is like an oasis in the hustle and bustle of San Pedro town and probably one of the most quiet options you can get in central San Pedro as it was facing the western waterfront (sunset side) of the island. - it is also only a short foot walk away from both piers for water taxis to Belize City and Caye Caulker as well as Corozal and Chetumal. - They had a nice seating area for socializing around a 4ft deep mini pool, really cozy! - the owner and his staff is really lovely, you notice the personal touch of this family-run business (the owner lives on the grounds and always can be contacted if need be) - worth mentioning also that the owner went out of his way and successfully helped me when I was facing problems in getting my boat ticket reimbursed when they denied me bording the boat to Chetumal/Mexico due to not formally checking in which was the employee's fault and not mine. Thank you again for that! - there is a little restaurant on site serving breakfast (hotel guests get a complimentary cup of coffee with their breakfast) and lunch from Monday to Saturday - when the restaurant was closed, the owner gave me two good suggestions for eating out

Hidden little gem at the back side of the island. Mike the owner was super kind and helpful. We wanted to go for a snorkel tour on the day we arrived to the island. He booked us a tour and even drove us to the dive shop. The place feels very cozy, we felt right at home. Pictures don’t do justice of the beautiful garden and the pool was really nice too. Absolute bonus is Sally the owners dog who we instantly fall in love with. We even sat through a category one hurricane while staying here. We felt safe the entire time, the hotel was sheltered from the worst of it. We absolutely loved San Pedro. This island is a special place on earth with very friendly locals and incredible wild life. We hope we’ll be back on day and we are looking forward to stay in this charming hotel again!

The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Our room had a little mini fridge, which was very useful. The property does have a restaurant and bar on site and a very nice restaurant next-door called Caliente. We swam in the pool every day and we had a wonderful few days stay here. The owner, Miguel was very nice and very helpful throughout our stay as he lives on site and he’s always around somewhere. We will definitely stay here again. It was awesome.

Awesome! We chose Cocotal because it was outside the busy, noisy city of San Pedro, but close enough to walk, golf cart or cycle into town. We also liked the fact that they offer free transfers to and from the airport. Ben met us when we checked in and went over everything in detail. We booked a beachfront casita, which was roomy and quiet. Cocotal offers free bicycles with a lock if you want to ride into town and kayaks if you want to cruise around offshore. Ben also helped us book a snorkeling trip to Hol Chan. The room was super clean and did not smell damp. With all the heat and humidity, this can be a problem. The pool was very nice (not too hot, so it felt refreshing to jump in). There are plenty of chairs and lounge chairs in the pool area, on our porch, and right next to the water with plenty of shade to hide from the hot sun. After we checked out and were heading for the airport, Ben called our driver to tell us we had left our binoculars in our casita. Our flight was due to leave in 30 minutes, but Ben said he could make it in time to bring the binoculars, and he did! We would definitely come back here if we ever return to Ambergris Caye.

Ben & staff always available for advice & setting up golf cart rental & private tours for snorkeling, diving, fishing, or visiting nearby islands. Free bikes on site was the best & it was fun getting around. Location is just north of San Pedro. Close enough to bike ride to (I’m 61 yrs old) yet feels far enough away to be away from it all. Eating favorites - Aji’s (walking distance), Estelle’s (near water taxi), and Caliente (lagoon side in town). Visit Secret Beach, the iguana refuge & use the hammocks on Ben’s private dock. Kayaks also available for free! Get bug spray on your way from airport as your prearranged taxi driver will stop there for food, drinks & necessities but Ben has most things covered. Rooms were great, comfy beds, hot shower, kitchen supplies. We didn’t use the pool (not big on sunning) & if you’re basing any of your decision on a hot & bubbly jacuzzi, talk to Ben. While we were there it was barely warm & jets were weak but we still got in from time to time after a long day out exploring. They have board games to borrow for rainy days & a dog named Jeff! Although there is not a bar on property, there is one right next door & many in walking distance (bike better!!) Almost all have happy hours so ask! No sense in “every hour is Hapoy hour” which means you’re paying full price :) Local beer is good & can be bought on draft in San Pedro airport & as low as $1.50 US during happy hour (or $2.50 normally). Would stay here again!! Thanks for everything, Ben ;)

We enjoyed being able to use the bikes, hammocks, pool, and access to kayaks. It was really convenient and quiet, with beautiful grounds. Ben and Yahaira were very friendly and attentive. It was convenient to do a snorkel trip through them since they pick you up at the inn (don't expect a tour guide though they stay in the boat while you swim). Aji, the restaurant nearby has a delicious ceviche and paella FYI.

We loved the location, it was so serene and peaceful. Attractive looking property, with the best and cleanest pool in central America. Outstanding customer service from the staff. The room was very well equipped. The staff helped us sort a golf buggy and we went to the town, Secret Beach, but the 2 best visits were to Tranquility Bay and a fly over of the blue hole. Just magical, we will go back.

Very nice, roomy, very clean w daily House keeping. Quiet. Clean pool. Nice, mature landscaping. Not far from downtown and relatively close to the “secret beach” by golf cart. Steps away from a couple good restaurants. Very happy with our week long stay.

Very nice pools and swim up bar. The room was excellent and had beautiful views.

Beautiful resort. The room was clean and spacious. Lovely view of the water. Justin and Gabo at the swim-up bar were the best. They provide friendly service with good sense of humor (and patience). 💫

The resort is absolutely beautiful with a stunning out look over the ocean and most of the common being located around the pool area which is massive. There are numerous sections to the pool to cater for different needs. The highlight for us was the undercover heated section around the swim up bar which was perfect for happy hour in the rain. The staff are very friendly and helpful and are prompt at dealing with any situation. We had a look around at some other resorts and felt that Coco Beach (although a fair way out of town), is by far the most beautiful.

Great property Coco beach is in a quiet area n is far from the shopping area so you will need a golf cart to get back and forth Parking is free My vip upgraded room was huge Swim up bar n pool with slide was always clean Only complaint i would say is that the whole resort is covered with sand So whatever footwear you are wearing to get in n out of your room be prepared for sand to be in it

This hotel was wonderful. Super clean and the bed and futon were really comfortable. Only thing I missed was a pool and that’s just because you can’t really swim out front. I would totally stay here again depending on what I wanted to do each day.

Every thing was great only thing needed is a pool

Pros: Walk to the water Taxi, comfortable bed, beachfront balcony, large room with kitchen and front room area, great staff, mid-range price. Cons: No Pool or resturant, could be noisy as next to bars, a little worn down. Given all that, I would stay there again.

We’ve stayed here on two different trips and have been very happy both times. The entrance isn’t on the front of the street, it’s on the side, which makes it hard to find initially. The hotel is so welcoming, very clean and every room faces the ocean. We’ve stayed on the 1st and 2nd floors. All of the rooms have large balconies overlooking the beach with tables and hooks for hammocks. The little kitchens are convenient and include a burner for cooking. There’s quite a bit of storage too. The lobby has all the basics you can use before walking out of the hotel. They have beach towels, sunscreen, bug spray etc. They also have a little pier with a couple Adirondack chairs to sit on. Very pleasant! There’s a restaurant/bar nearby called The Black Pearl. Next to that, up the stairs, is a little breakfast shop that sells fresh made baked items, breakfast and local coffee. It’s also very convenient to get to the little airport to fly to Belize city. It’s not close enough to hear the “puddle jumper” planes though. If an elevator is needed, specify the 1st floor because most hotels do not have elevators in San Pedro. We’ve snorkeled with Chuck and Robbie’s Diveshop both trips and have had an excellent time. Brandon was our guide both trips. (Chuck and Robbie’s is close to the hotel). We rented our golf carts from Isla Bonita Golf Carts and have been very pleased each time. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Great location, very neat and clean, spacious rooms, every room has a sea facing balcony, with breathtaking views, awesome staff. No complaints, only compliments - that's what I have for everything and everyone in Mayan Princess Hotel. This is probably the best hotel in town for the sea, sun and activities. And, if you have any issues with anything, you just need to tell them and they address it immediately. (I've stayed in enough hotels around the world where, upon raising an issue, I have been assured that it would be resolved but been given excuses to procrastinate until it was time for me to check out! I guess they do the same with all guests. Not so for this hotel. If we had any issue, they immediately sent a specialist over to look into it and resolve it. Thank you so much for your attentiveness.) This was our special holiday and I had made some additional requests and they not only catered to all those, but also left a complimentary bottle of Prosecco! Thank you so much for making our holiday even more special :-) Thank you for your warm welcome, beautiful smiles, ever willingness to guide, and being so caring. If we go back to San Pedro again, I just know exactly where to stay! And I'd say this to everyone looking for accommodation in San Pedro: you can book Mayan Princess Hotel (with your eyes closed) and be assured of a wonderful stay!

Stay there with my family of four. small but beautifully renovated. Staff are very professional and friendly. The pool area is beautiful but extremely small. The guests in the pool were extremely loud during the night. The wall are not sound proof. We can hear guests conversation in the hallway early morning. The restaurant has great breakfast selections. We wish the room has a fridge for storage . Parking was easy. We would stay there again

Fort George Hotel and Spa was such a nice place to end our trip before heading home. The hotel is new and modern, we stayed in the oceanfront room, which only just opened last month, and everything was clean, spacious, and it was quiet. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a bite and drink at the bar in the restaurant, the food was delicious and we were offered complimentary bread and a ceviche shooter which was a nice surprise. We also had a couples massage which we booked last minute and they were able to accommodate us. The massage was spectacular and the spa facilities were very clean and impressive. We arrived too late to utilize the pool area and were disappointed because it was so inviting and unique with a waterfall. We would definitely stay again and recommend.

Brand new renovated Hotel, awesome room, view on the property and of the pool. The restaurant is highly recommend. The surroundings look sketchy, but are safe as locals and taxis confirmed. Great value for the money. After many dives, it was the best place to relax, dry the equipment on the room's balcony.

The gym was state of the art. The pool area was beautiful. Lots of seating options. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Thank you Chloe and friends for your hospitality. I enjoyed the service at the restaurant and the food was great. Will be back sooner than later.

All of the staff were extremely friendly, we also got a complimentary upgrade to the penthouse which was deluxe. The pool and lounge area were clean and comfortable. A great place to stay in Belize City. Right on the water, but easily walkable into down town.

The views from the room. The pool access.

We stayed at Hopkins Bay during our first trip to Belize celebrating our 25th Anniversary. I can’t say enough good things about this resort. The villas are beautiful and well-appointed. They are all three bedroom, with individual access to the upstairs room if you book a one-bedroom. We had a two-bedroom so we had the whole downstairs which includes a kitchen and living room between the two bedrooms. The resort is well maintained and clean. It’s also closer to town and restaurants/bars than the resorts on the south end, in my opinion. The beach is beautiful and just a few steps from the pool and Rhum Shak. We went at the end of the low season and had no problem finding loungers at the beach and pool. The Staff! They are what made this place so special. From the first day, the staff knew our names and greeted us with a smile. They made sure we had anything we needed or wanted. If you’re going to Belize and unsure of Hopkins, I say GO! And make plans to stay at Hopkins Bay!

We had a fantastic stay at Hopkins Bay Resort in a beautiful 2-bedroom villa. The food was excellent, and the restaurant staff provided wonderful local recommendations and warm service throughout our stay. They even went out of their way to help me when I experienced a bad sunburn by the poolside restaurant, which I truly appreciated. The pools were clean and relaxing, the drum show was a unique cultural highlight, and ghost crabbing on the beach made for unforgettable family fun. Everything about our visit was nearly perfect. The only drawback was our experience with one front desk staff member, Xamera, who came across as disengaged, unhelpful, and rude. This was disappointing, as it stood in stark contrast to the outstanding hospitality shown by the rest of the team. Overall, Hopkins Bay Resort exceeded our expectations, and we look forward to returning in the future.

Loved the size of the room, bed, pool, and the compactness/proximity of everything at the resort. Even though we booked last minute and our room was at the back of the resort, it's so well designed that we still had an ocean view from our porch. We ate dinner 3 times at the on-site restaurant, The Rhum Shack, and it was exceptional, especially the pork chop + snapper. Service was also great (shout-out to Michelle who looked after us daily!). The entire team were friendly and wanting to make your stay as comfortable as possible, from housekeeping being attentive to our water refill needs, to the pool guys moving our umbrellas without being asked when we no longer had shade. Would 100% come back here, especially with proceeds of the stay going towards their chosen charities.

I love this property from the moment getting to it. My father and I arrived early morning, and after a long drive from San Ignacio, my father and I cannot be more pleased to have met the front lobby staff. I believe his name was Richard (apologies I don’t recall at this time), but he was wonderful; so friendly, and kind. Absolutely beautiful and we loved the bar and pool area which offered much relaxation and was situated next to the beach for gorgeous hammock views. My favorite part aside from the pool was the van ride into town at night to partake in local traditions, like drumming, and free bikes available for use during the day.

This was our second stay at the resort. Hospitality and accommodations were excellent. Friendly group at the swim up bar. Enjoyed the excursions and took advantage of their spa services. Going again next year!

This resort was breathtaking. Every detail has been thought out by the owners and the staff go above and beyond to make your stay as seemless and comfortable as possible. We rented a 3 bedroom/3 bathroom villa on the property that was perfefor our guests! The swimup pool bar as well as the countelss pools throughout the property were relaxing. In terms of transportation, Brandon attended to all of our traveling needs! Please ask for him! He is a driver at the hotel! Brandon is personable, knowledgeable, and made sure we came back safely after nights out in town!

The resort was new and very nice. Multiple pools, beach with paddle boards and kayaks. Staff was extremely nice. Location was great, north of town but not too far with many restaurants and bars nearby. Room was large and kept clean. Laundry service was available. Swim up bar with food service was great! They booked our excursion to the Blue Hole for us which was really convenient.

What a beautiful Resort, they had us booked on 2nd & 3rd floor but 1 person in our party very mobility restricted so they moved us to the first floor. Real nice pool has a swim up bar food and drinks very pricey but it is a resort. The drinks where really weak we ordered doubles and still could barely taste it so we went to the local liquor store and made our own

Beautiful property, quiet, private, pool, staff was kind & helpful.

I stayed in a King room with a garden view. I was looking for a solo getaway where I could just relax in comfort, swim, and eat a restaurant on the premises. From the moment I was greeted by Tania and Darcy, I knew that I could not ask for more. Once I took in the unobstructed panoramic view, I was so delighted at having found this place. The room was beautifully appointed, the bed was super comfy, water pressure in the shower was great, and I was steps from the pool. Air conditioning was much appreciated and needed. This place meets, if not surpasses, the standards of an American traveler. Note: This cabin was further from the main building and restaurant, where there are river views and another pool, but I wanted to save money. I highly recommend this resort if you want luxury in the Belmopan area. I would suggest paying extra for the river view units if you don't want to, or can't, walk up and down a trail path.

We loved our stay at Dream Valley and the Staff made it a very special visit. Due to covid we were one of only two guests at the time of our visit so maybe we got a little extra attention. It is exactly as advertised deep in the jungle. Tranquil and beautiful. We picked it due to the proximity to the Zoo, And Nohooch Che cave tubing and zip lining and that worked great. The furnishings are rustic, so don't expect lavish. Although I will say there was an amazing amount of space and the bathroom was perfect blend of very updated while retaining that cabin in the woods motif and the bed was comfortable. But no dresser or folding racks for your suitcase, just shelves in the closet and LOTS of floor space. The large deck was perfect to chill on. The food was great and the scenery was fantastic. Having internet and a fridge (that was stocked no less) was a great plus providing us drinks right at hand. The pool was very well kept as were all the grounds and very scenic. There are other restaurants near by, but we mostly ate in. We did have one unfortunate incident where security inadvertently locked us out by securing the entrance gate at the front road before we had gotten back to the resort. It meant about about 20 minutes of frenzied calls and texts trying to get someone to let us in. Apparently being the only guests that night through security off and they thought the resort was empty. But other than that it was a very pleasurable stay and we would likely return.

Wow! Is all that really can be said. The natural beauty of this hotel are what other places spend thousands of dollars trying to recreate. Located on the river banks with nothing else in sight, thoughtfully manicured grounds giving way to the Belizean jungle. You truly can feel away from it all. The hotel offers a lot to do on-site as well canoeing on the river, mini golf, a swimming pool, spa services, hikes around the property and a good restaurant with bar. And they can also set you up for a tour to any one attractions in the area. The staff goes out of their to meet the needs of their guests. We stayed in the Owner's Suite on the far end of all the bungalows with the jetted tub on the balcony style patio overlooking the river. Totally private with a wide open view of the river and nothing else but nature to look. Amazing, highly recommend.

the location was very secluded and lovely. The two pools were a very nice amenity. It was easy to get luggage in and out of the rooms. The air conditioning was awesome and the Wi-Fi was really fast and consistent. One thing I was disappointed about was the lack of hooks or bars for towels (or wet swimsuits, etc.)anywhere in the room or bathroom. We were in the Treehouse room, so I am not sure if the other rooms had towel racks/hooks. Other than that, our stay was perfect!

I am surprised there are very few reviews for SunBreeze. Communication with the hotel before check in was very good with them confirming details of all guests, arrival, departure times etc a few weeks before. Check in was very quick with details of pool and restaurant hours. Security seemed good with buzz-in after 10 and notes to ensure the door was latched at all times when in rooms. The hotel is in a good location to explore San Pedro and is just across the street from the airport, the ferry dock is close by as well. Our room was large, modern and clean. The pool was not busy when we were there but it was a bit chilly, (air and pool). We did not eat in the restaurant, it was busy and has a good reputation, we just wanted to try some others close by that had more "local" meals on the menu. The bar closed early, if you want a drink after 9:30, you will have to go elsewhere or stock up. San Pedro is very busy, expect to see many golf carts zooming by when you leave through the lobby. You can also leave from the waterfront area and walk to various restaurants and bars that way.

We stayed at the Sun Breeze for the five nights that we were in San Pedro, and we were very happy with the room, the location, the property, the pool, and the service. Overall, it was a really wonderful trip. The property is oriented well to afford good ocean and pool views from the rooms, and the pool deck was quite comfortable. The place is right across the street from the airport (so you do get some small plane noise each day as they take off over the property), but it's not offensive at all. One of the best parts about our stay was the restaurant & bar (a private concession, not owned by the hotel). The food was really good, the service was usually outstanding, and the guys at the bar were great. Drinks were rather weak, but it was so affordable, it was nothing to just make everything a 'double'. The restaurant is wide open to the ocean, except for when there's weather and the pull down the plastic walls. We did venture off-property some, but kept returning to the on-premise restaurant because it was so good. And even though it's a private concession, they still allow room charges.

It was a very nice hotel for the area. We are used to higher end chains, but they are not quite on San Pedro yet. We looked at a bunch of different hotels and chose this hotel basically because it was in the center of everything and we were not disappointed. The staff was friendly and we were quite pleased with everything. It makes sense that the chains we are used to are not there...there is so much to do and see that you are not spending your entire time in the hotel; you are out exploring. However, we did take a few days to sit poolside and walk along the beach, and we noticed not every hotel has a pool, so this is a great plus.

After more than 20 years of organizing and taking dive groups and family members to San Pedro, the SunBreeze consistently remains the ideal location for our adventures in Belize. The hotel's location provides easy access to and from the airport and throughout the town of San Pedro—no long boat or cart rides. The SunBreeze is within walking distance of all the sites San Pedro has to offer--shops, water taxis, restaurants, bars, and other attractions. The SunBreeze operations and its maintenance are performed under the direction of General Manager Julia Edwards and her competent staff. Miss Julia and the staff are professional and courteous and provide excellent customer service. They are very familiar with all recreational activities and helpful in planning and arranging all San Pedro offers, i.e., diving, snorkeling, Mainland adventures, Maya ruins & cave explorations, bird watching, sunset cruises, etc. Lastly, the excellent Blue Water Grille is adjacent to the SunBreeze and the hotel's pool. It offers various menu options, including the fresh catch of the day, local favorites, live music, and friendly and competent bartenders and wait staff! There’s no better place to have a refreshing drink and meal while looking over the beautiful water with the waves breaking on the outer reef.

We were very happy that we chose to stay at the Sunbreeze Hotel. It is centrally located in San Pedro so you are close to everything. It is literally a 1 minute walk from the Tropic Air airport to the hotel. The on-site dining is so convenient and the food and staff were great! The rooms are comfortable and clean - we stayed in room 120, the bed was so comfortable. We spent some time hanging out by the pool, there are a number of people around but we were always able to find a place to sit. We were also able to arrange our snorkelling trip to Hol Chan through the front desk which was very convenient. I would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again. Oh, and all of the staff are very friendly and ready to help with everything.

We stayed at a couple places in Caye Caulker, and this was hands down my favorite!! The bed/pillows in the room were so comfy, the rooftop had amazing views/was incredibly serene, and the wifi was stable/consistent throughout the property. The cleaning ladies were also super nice, and the location is right in the middle of where you want to be. I wish I could have extended my stay and I would definitely pick the Caye Caulker Beach Hotel if I ever return.

Excellent hotel. Perfect location - in the middle of the island but a few blocks away from the loudest bars, so jo night time noise. Wonderful rooftop terrace, can see both sunrise and sunset from it. The hotel seems to be very new. The air conditioning unit in my room was very modern and very quiet - great for good night sleep. Good bed, spacious shower, overall enjoyed my stay.

The hosts were most gracious, from calling taxis to offering the same-day laundry. The beds were comfy and plenty of hot water. The hotel was well-monitored and we felt safe. Perfect location in the middle of town. We made reservations for next time we visit Caye Caulker and look forward to our stay, knowing it will be safe and relaxing.

Great shower! Room was small but was as advertised. Staff was attentive and competent. Nice location on main street, beach area directly across the road. Easy to walk both north and south to various establishments. We enjoyed our stay.

My stay at the hotel was pleasant. The rooms were very clean, and the bathroom was impressively spacious, almost half the size of the room. The cleaning staff was exceptionally polite, friendly, always wearing a smile, and incredibly helpful.

The hotel is located around a six-minute walk from the ferry terminal at the Southern quieter end of Caye Caulker. We stayed in the lighthouse room a bright and airy bedroom with lots of space and well equipped with fridge, tv, safe, fan, and aircon. Large very comfortable bed. Bathroom equally spacious with one of the best showers on our trip. Facilities here are good with swimming pool, plenty of lounge areas including a rooftop terrace and access to a private beach across the road. There are also complementary free bicycles. Communication with the hotel ahead of our visit was really good with Audre always available on WhatsApp.

An absolutely wonderful stay at Treetops. The staff are wonderful and the rooms are spacious and clean. There is free water available. There’s air con and fans in both our room and the bathroom. It’s a little out of the way of the main hustle and bustle, but we liked that as it was nice and quiet. They gave us good food recommendations. The pool is an added bonus to an already fab hotel.

The hotel was in a perfect location close to the center and very quiet, The host was very nice and provided all the information I required about Caye Caulker and tours, etc. The room was very clean and comfy, it had all I needed, the hotel has a lovely pool area and roof patio with a panoramic view. The hotel also has a private beach front which is lovely to lounge at.

The property was great! Everything about Tree Tops was wonderful. The staff was kind and respectful. They were always working. The space was immaculate! We lived the pool and the room was all that we needed. Audre and her staff go above and beyond for excellence. I would have no problem recommending someone to stay here.

Beach front property with a private beach area. A lovely pool where the sun hits pretty much all day. The staff was so kind and lovely, they always made sure our rooms were clean and free of sand. Such a relaxing place and great location, a close walk to everywhere including their airport.

We stayed three nights here during April and had a great time. The hotel is around 20-30 minutes drive from San Pedro and therefore really quiet. The hotel sits between two undeveloped pieces of land, which helps keeping it that way. Due to the reef being around 1km in front of the hotel beach, the water here is very quiet and calm but you can still hear the waves while sitting under the palm trees (with the coconuts removed, no issues to sit under them), super nice and relaxing! We had one of the pool facing casitas and they were comfortable enough. The kitchen was very well equipped, with a huge fridge and all necessary appliances to cook. Useful, since we didn't book the breakfast option due to the price. But since grocery shopping is very expensive on the island (50 USD for a bit of bacon, 4 cups of iced coffee, 1 pack of spread and a pack of 4 muffins), it might be worth adding the breakfast. The hotel has 2 large pools and the beach with nice loungers available at all times. All areas were well maintained and inviting.

I just returned from my first visit to Belize. Happened across this place by browsing and reading other reviews. We are very happy we found and chose this place for our stay. X"Tan Ha is a bit further north of San Pedro, located in Ambergris Caye. You will need to rent a golf cart. The trip into San Pedr is about 30 minutes but it really is an enjoyable ride. The roads are not paved all the way, bit you learn quickly where the bad bumps are. The staff was young, energetic and eager to answer all and any questions. They are truly a testament to the youth of the country. Our room was really nice, Seaview with balcony. The hammock was my favorite item! You have choices of good food in the area to choose from if you don't want to venture into town. You can book your tours directly with the staff (we did two snorkeling tours) and they picked us up from the dock and dropped us back off. The restaurant/bar is convenient and offers a nice portion. Our room was cleaned every two days and it was well done. The place is quiet and peaceful, absolutely soundproof for great sleeping. The bed was very comfortable and excellent pillows, which is always important to me. The two pools were always clean and clear. Groundskeeper do a great job. If you want rowdy and noisy, you should stay in San Pedro. If quiet and peaceful is your thing, consider X"Tan Ha. The views from the Seaview balcony are magnificent

X’tan ha went above and beyond to make our trip to Belize fun and comfortable. The rooms were lovely with excellent AC. Plentiful drinking water and coffee is a huge plus. Beautiful pools. The view of the ocean was phenomenal, I even saw a stingray snorkeling right off the deck and many fish. It was quiet and I slept well - I was only disturbed by woodpeckers! The birds were beautiful. It was great being picked up for tours from the dock. I really enjoyed Ka’kua restaurant especially their Saturday bbq menu. The massages on the beach were incredible, private, and well priced, and the tour they booked us through Tuff E Nuff was the best of our trip (and also well priced). Special shout out to Mayri for sneaking me a piece of birthday cake with a cute card and sparklers in the morning when my fiancé woke up on his birthday. It is a trek into town (40 min bumpy golf cart ride each way to go out for dinner) but the loveliness of X’tan ha makes it worth it.

X Tan Ha was a really fun experience for my 13 year old son and my wife and I. Spent 6 days here over spring break. We had a sea view room and it was really nice. Pools were nice. Restaurant was good. Swimming off the dock every morning in the warm Carribean sea was so refreshing. It was fun renting a golf cart and using it to explore the town and some other areas of Ambergris caye. Booked a snorkeling trip with Tuff Enuff tours from the shack on the dock to Hol Chan and shark alley. Swimming with and watching the turtles is an experience I’ll never forget. The staff were so friendly and smiling all the time. Happy and patient to help with every request. Cool place. I could go back for sure. Don’t hesitate to book this place.

X’tan Ha is an amazing resort! Very clean, amazing staff and great amenities. I honestly think their online profile and photos don’t do them justice. There’s a pool on side, beach access and paddle board/kayaks available to use and included with stay. There’s a bar on the water (separately owned from resort) where you can eat and drink for most of the day. And they include a big water tank to drink from, full kitchen (bring groceries) and cake to clean and change bedsheets/towels daily. 10/10

Our cabana was nice, but the air conditioner could not keep up with the heat. Our first night we sweat through the night and slept on top of the covers. The next morning they looked at the AC and said it was frozen over and had been repaired. 8 hours later - still the same situation. They changed us to a smaller room that was more like a hotel style and the room was much cooler. Restaurant had great food and service. We really enjoyed the nearby beach ($5BZD) too! One other note. The pool bar opened up one day when we were the only ones there. The music was blasted so loud for no reason. I tried to order drinks and the bartender couldn't even hear me without yelling. We asked him to turn it down and it went from a 10 to an 8. We finally gave up an left. A few hours later though it was at a more reasonable level, but the pool bar should be for the guest's enjoyment...not the employees.

First off, El Ben was fantastic and would or will stay again! The top thing was the excellent staff. (Johannes, Zion, Melvin, Freddy, Keith, Mike, Magdaleno and more who I’m surely skipping) So friendly and helpful! Food was great with enough choices and decent prices for the quality (chef was just booked for a wedding at another site because people loved his food). Easy free boat access across the split. Minor improvements that could make it better: make sure guests know to drink the bottled water instead of tap, add a few rolling umbrellas to the pools, and switching to refillable large soap/shampoo containers mounted in the shower might make it easier and eco-friendly. Again these are just improvements and not complaints, because we don’t have any complaints! North Side is great if you like peace and quiet for sleeping and relaxing but you are 5 minutes or less from the busier South Side when you want it.

This property is beautiful! We enjoyed the quiet mornings, watching the birds from our deck, or reading at the pool. It is clear how hard the staff works at keeping the landscaping and buildings looking great. The staff are friendly, we enjoyed chatting with them during our visit! We ate at T and T’s often, the meals were always tasty and well plated, and the prices were very reasonable. The boat was so convenient to take us to south Caye Caulker- the ride is very quick! It was a 10/10 for our family! We will be back!

Beautiful property with a hiking trail around the property, clean pool, delicious food and friendly staff

We stayed at EL Ben Cabanas for 3 nights. The Cabana was very nice, clean and very comfortable. The staff there were excellent and very helpful. Travelers should be aware that access to a beach at the resort is non-existent. This is mostly due to the volume of sea grass on the east side of the island. The sea grass also gives off an unpleasant odor as it gets hot during the day. Luckily the pool was a great way to cool off. The restaurant at the resort was quite nice. We mainly ate breakfast there and explored the island for other meals. We did use a couple of the resort bikes and rode to Bliss Beach on the west side of the island, which was beautiful. No sea grass and soft sandy beach. You can buy a drink or two and hang out on the lounge chairs or cool off in the beautiful clear water. El Ben Cabanas offers a boat ride to the south side of the island where the quaint little village is. We spent quite a bit of time walking around checking out the shops and variety of food establishments. We definitely recommend Reyna's restaurant for amazing Jerk Chicken.

Could use a swim up bar. Otherwise loved the people and the place

We usually travel to large exquisite all-inclusive resorts in the Riviera Maya. Not this time. We wanted to explore Belize ... and when we read about Portofino Beach Resort, it sounded like the perfect "out of the way, relaxing, with good food, and a dive shop on property" ... and we got exactly what we hoped for!! Our Beach Cabana was simply wonderful and every room is a few short steps to everything you need. Roberto & Richard at the dive shop went above and beyond for us. We rented a golf cart for 24 hours, so glad we did. Its a glimpse into the "real" Belize to travel into San Pedro ... it is a bumpy ride, but its very doable. And there is also the boat from the resort if you plan your activities around their schedule. There is also a water taxi in town. You can do as much or little as you desire. The only improvements we would welcome is a bit more comfortable seating and better coffee service. Our cabana had 2 wooden chairs that sat very low to the ground ... all the chairs from pool chairs (no loungers around pool, just on the beach and those do have cushions on the beach) and the restaurant ... And as for the coffee, it would be heavenly if they would offer a small coffee pot in each room. We are super early risers and it was usually 6:15 or 6:30am before our first cup. The staff really goes above and beyond to make your trip special. The owners are very gracious and take great pride in the property they have built for all to enjoy that come here.

Portofino Beach Resort meets all the requirements for a peaceful Caribbean vacation. It’s smallish size allows for tranquil relaxation while it includes all the necessary amenities expected in a tropical resort including a beautiful pool centrally located in the resort, a small scale restaurant with all meals available and very tasty food, an indoor/outdoor bar in the reception/pool area, a dock steps away In which you can access water sports, fishing and boat rides, and finally an outdoor spa for satisfying massages. Its location allows for the most breathtaking morning pictures as the sun shines off the Caribbean coast. What really sets Portiofino apart is the incredibly helpful staff from Vincent the security guard to Captain Mark the boat driver. We appreciated very much the daily breakfasts and transportation to and from the resort that were included. This is especially true for the golf cart pickup at the San Pedro Airport on a rainy, windy night and the Monday, Wednesday and Friday free boat rides to and from San Pedro. Given the location of the resort, we are so very grateful for both of these transportation features and the on-site restaurant. We felt valued and cared for! The only recommendation we can make is regarding the bed and pillows. Memory foam is not a good option in a humid climate. It is also uncomfortable for most people. The sane is true for foam filled pillows. Improved beds and pillows that are of natural materials is highly recommended.

The staff were very nice. Orlene was awesome! The accommodations were just as pictured which was a nice surprise. I selected the King Suite and couldn’t be happier. It was so incredibly spacious and you felt like you had an entire apartment to yourself. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure was great, hot/cold water worked well and the AC was good. It was more humid than normal during our stay so having an extra fan in the room was well needed. I even took advantage of the hammock on our porch. The room came equipped with a mini fridge, room safe and an Amazon fire stick for Netflix etc. there’s no microwave or telephone which makes it less convenient to order food from the restaurant or to contact the front desk. The pool was clean and just steps from our room. We swam almost daily. There was ample lounge chairs and the set up was thoughtful. The restaurant served good food and other than the times we went into town we ate at the Green Iguana for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was delicious and prepared well. After being there for 6 days I wished for more variety. That would be my only complaint. Be prepared with bringing snacks for your room since there isn’t a market close by and nothing is sold on the grounds other than the 3 meals. You’d have to rent a golf cart which is really convenient and cost about $60 for the whole day. Take advantage of massages on the beach-Andrea is AMAZING! Overall…the stay was Magical. We were truly in PARADISE!

We absolutely loved our stay at Portofino. It was so quiet and relaxing and the grounds are so beautiful. We stayed in a cute little thatched room bungalow with a very spacious bathroom. Also loved the huge water dispenser in the rooms that was refilled daily it kept us hydrated! We loved the hammock on the porch and used it often. The complimentary breakfast was simple and so good. We also really liked the lunch menu. The fish and chips were so good. We went to dinner one night but it didn’t have the things we were looking for like ceviche and the delicious Belizean cuisine that we couldn’t get enough of. We loved the drinks from the bar all day at the pool the mojitos were so so good. We also found it so easy to book excursions bc it’s right there on the dock and they are wonderful, you really don’t have to leave! Only cons are- if you want to go to downtown often it’s a bit of a drive but you are closer to things like secret beach, truck stop, Pur (one of our fav places) they do have a scheduled boat shuttle that can take you but we didn’t take advantage of that because we found the drive kind of fun and loved stopping at random places Can’t really do long walks on the beaches. It’s not the Portofino property, it’s the properties around it don’t really keep up their beaches so a path isn’t clear.

It was very relaxing, the pool is right in front of the cabins, we had the pool to ourselves in the evening, the whole weekend. Super relaxing atmosphere.. we will be back!

Harbourview is fantastic. Friendly and helpful staff, comfy, cozy and clean room, beautiful grounds and nice atmosphere and vibe. Beautifully decorated. The garden is so lovely. The coffee and food is excellent. I love the yogurt parfaits! I had three over my stay. Nice refreshing pool. Also helpful with local information and close to some vendors, the seaside, and the water taxi. All around excellent experience. I highly recommend! I would go back in an instant if I return to Belize. Beautiful country and beautiful people.

We stayed for a night in Belize City to catch our flight home the next day. We had a lovely stay and dined at their Sarah’s Cafe enjoying the best Belizean dishes after having spent the last 10 days in Placencia and San Ignacio. Their pool was refreshing and quiet. The ferry service is across the street and conveniently located to catch a ride to San Pedro. The Cork Street Whiskey Bar has excellent cocktails, beer and small sharable plates. Will stay again.

Harbour View Wellness retreat was great!!! I loved the grounds. Felt like I was in a jungle oasis. Everything was very clean and nice. Both pools were great. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Was able to check in early due cutting my stay short at a near hotel. They made it work for us! I would definitely stay here again. Spa/massage was great. Shannon and Giselle were amazing!!

If you need a quiet stay that avoids the hassle and bustle of Belize City, this is a good option. The grounds, including two pools, provide a relaxing atmosphere. Having a secured area for parking is a big plus. The restaurant is vegetarian and vegan but there are other options nearby if something else is preferred.

Beautiful location, meticulously maintained grounds, and friendly staff. We loved the restaurant out on the dock, iguanas, pools, beach, the quiet. We had stellar service from the staff and onsite tour company.

What a great deal this place was considering it is located in the middle of everything and only a block away from the water taxi station. As you exit the water taxi station, walk straight past the clock tower and you’re there. Only a 2 minute walk. The staff members were friendly and gave us a warm welcome. We arrived in the morning and we were able to leave our luggage in the lobby while we toured the town. The room had AC, a TV w/ lots of streaming apps, a fridge, microwave and a mini coffee maker. The shower was nice with a rainfall shower head. The faucet had weak water flow which was a bummer. Since the hotel is in the middle of everything, the noise level at night can get loud. There is a security guard in the front of the hotel which was great. For the price and the location and convenience, I’d say this was an excellent find and I would recommend.

I loved the downtown location near a lot of local restaurants like Briana’s food place and it’s close to the airport and the water taxi pier. I came to San Pedro to go diving for a week and didn’t really want to pay to stay at a resort so this was perfect for me. There are a lot of great local restaurants nearby where you can get amazing food for around 5 USD like the stew chicken with rice and beans from Briana’s! Across the street there is a food stand that’s open on Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesdays where for about 15 Belize dollars you can get the get some really good BBQ ribs with rice and beans and coleslaw. The hotel is also within walking distance of a great local gym called Belize Fitness. I’ll definitely be staying here again when I come back to San Pedro to do some more diving!

Voyager was a perfect stay. It’s in the middle of the city center and every great restaurant and shop is walking distance. There is a little convenience store across the street that rents golf carts and they were great as well. King size beds that are super comfy. Rooms are small but it was perfect for me traveling solo. Rooms were very clean and smelled nice. There are stairs to the floors, which wasn’t a problem for me but may be for some. I didn’t see an elevator. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It is in the middle of the city so it can be a little noisy, so if you looking for quiet and tranquil this is not it. It is across the street from the public beach, but there aren’t chairs are anything for you to sit on. Overall fantastic stay and I would stay again.

With a group of diving friends, we stayed 5 nights at Voyager Sun & Reef Hotel. Its location is perfect. 7 minutes walk to the airport and a few feet away from the beach and the dive centers, as well as plenty of dining options all around. If you are a scuba diver, like we are, I cannot think of a better location in San Pedro. The rooms are clean, well kept and even if there are no eating options at the hotel per se, there are plenty of them just around the corner, as well as a convenience store across the street.

We had a great 9-day stay at the Rainbow Hotel. Here's the down low. The good: - Great location close to the split - Recently renovated rooms with comfortable queen-sized beds - Air conditioning with full control - A great shower with plenty of hot water - Very friendly and helpful staff - Has it's own small section of beachfront with plenty of shade, picnic tables and sun lounges - You can go for a dip right off the hotel dock (about 4 ft deep). We saw about 10 different fish, a nurse shark a stingray and a spotted eagle ray all in/around the dock - Great coffee bar next door (Ice and Beans) - We had a hinge broken on the cupboard. When brought to the attention of the staff they fixed it within 2 hrs - They rent bikes which are in better shape than most of the others I saw on the island - The Rainbow Restaurant is pretty decent (different management, but right there!) and is built right over the water The bad: - It's a noisy area. The air conditioner creates a fair bit of white noise that masks the sound from outside so this wasn't a major problem. - Although it has a 'kitchenette', there are no plates/bowls/cutlery. So it's mostly only useful for storing leftovers and reheating - The sun loungers are in pretty bad shape and need maintenance We were supposed to move to a different hotel halfway through, but we enjoyed the Rainbow hotel so much we extended our stay! Would definitely stay again.

The location was THE BEST! We decided to walk everywhere for 5 days... and it worked! Two doors down was ENJOY restaurant and 3 doors the other direction was Happy Lobster, EXCELLENT breakfasts! We were happy to see 2 new bottles of water in our room every single day! The staff was happy and very helpful. They even let us leave our bags in the office and kick around town for 3 hours after check-out. Public bathrooms can be difficult to find in Caye Caulker, but this hotel let us use the office bathroom even though we had checked out! We were there during New Years and the room was VERY QUIET! We only heard noises on New Year's Eve (to be expected).

This hotel is a perfect no frills experience: great location, quiet, comfortable. The staff went the extra mile to make sure we had a good time, explained where to go on the island. We loved the daily room clean and new coffee/water daily and being able to borrow beach towels. We loved the location easy walk to everything, which means changing swimsuits or forgetting something in the room is no big deal. It was very quiet, the AC was perfect, hot water was hot, beds were comfortable. We loved having a fridge and coffee maker in the room. It was perfectly clean and staff did a great job even when we tracked in sand and mud.

Fantastic! Beautiful family run business. Grounds were well kept. Felt welcomed and at home. Was bummed when we had to go. Lots of humming birds and other birds around. I didn’t get to see a Toucan but they frequent the property. Other places to stay around the area but if you are looking for a relaxing stay this is the place. They also offer a car rental for $70 US a day. They have a kitchen run by ROSE the mother and her daughter. Brilliant food. (Only for their guests) We only ate their food while staying in the cabins. If you are into cool plants they have many.

The gentleman who checked me in was super nice and accommodating - telling us we could check in a little early. Cleaning staff and others we met were super helpful! We were in first floor with our 13 y/o daughter. Location was perfect as we were able to go across the road to our favorite spot and hang out. Room seemed newly renovated and the quality of the Reno was nice! Not a big room, but with two beds and a nice little area with a countertop, microwave and coffee was all we needed. The bathroom was really nice and new and everything was clean. Will stay there again!

We were blown away by the room when we arrived- we stayed in one of the Tiki houses and the veranda with a hammock to sit outside without getting bitten my mosquitos! The room itself was beautifully furnished which made for a lovely romantic stay. The pools were also great, the moment we arrived after a hot and sticky journey- a dip in the pool was exactly what we needed! Great location too for fabulous restaurants/bars and of course the Cahal Pech ruins which are next door

I think this is the best place you can stay in when visiting San Ignacio. Even though the location is not ideal if you want to visit the center of town, you get the best bang for your buck. The cabins are absolutely awesome with the glass room with the hammock. The wifi was not very reliable and dropped often but I was still able to do some work one afternoon, when I took my laptop to the pool area. I love the restaurant and pool area. The view is incredible. I liked the little coffee shop and I recommend their banana bread loaf! The hotel excursions are expensive (but this is the same all over Belize) but well organized.

Convenient location, multiple pools, cute poolside bar and restaurant, coffee shop inside the lobby area. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Very clean facilities and optional laundry services. We stayed in a cabana with a private patio. The balcony area had bug screens, a nice view of the city, and large comfortable hammock.

The food was great but expensive for the area. Great views. Pools were nice but the water needed to be cleaned and the ladder in the deep pool needs to be repaired as it only has one step that is a safety hazard.

The view was absolutely amazing, and the pool was a great feature to have for our little toddler. We visited in December, so the view bridge was lit up beautifully and was a great place to see the town and for photos. The landscape and trails to the cabanas gave the property a jungle feel and enjoyed our walk back and forth to our room each day. Our room was very large and was nice to have a screened in porch to enjoy our evenings bug free. The staff was incredibly welcoming and paid extra attention to our 3 year old and made him feel so important - they even wrote his name on one of the Christmas Tree ornaments so he could have one like all of the other staff. He was so tickled to have his own 🥰. We had crazy rain that blew into our screened porch and eventually leaked into our room (so big slip hazard), but the staff quickly came out to help mop it up and provide us towels to block rain from coming into our room overnight, was so happy for the quick service to help with the rain that wasn't avoidable.

Absolutely beautiful resort! The beach side and pool were amazing! Free bikes and paddle boards were available. Swim up bar was great! The rooms are huge and beautiful! Our room over looked the lagoon and were able to watch the sunset

It was beautiful with beautiful views. I loved that we had access to the lagoon and the beach with the pool and nice restaurants and swim up bar, everything was perfect!

Fabulous experience at Umaya! Everyone was so friendly and helpful, we felt right at home. Beautiful facility and grounds and a well equipped unit. The beach was well maintained and meticulously raked each morning, along with a beautiful pool w swim up bar. Both sides of the property were beautifully landscaped making it feel like a truly magical place! Would definitely return!

Spectacular resort with beautiful pool, ocean, swim up bar, and delicious restaurant. The room was very nice. The staff was awesome! My only two complaints, (1) many sudden and short power outages, and beeping appliances when power returned. That will startle you if not pre-warned. That is common in Placencia. (2) the room safe was not bolted down and had a master key that worked in our friends room as well. So we didnt use the safe. Minor issues. The place was gorgeous and fun!

Where else can you stay with Caribbean ocean on one side of the property and lagoon with island and Mountain View’s on the other? This property looks like something out of the show “White Lotus”, seriously! The grounds, foliage, romantic lights, EXCELLENT restaurants (there are two of them), swim up pool bar… the list goes on and on. Our lagoon side stay was peaceful and we enjoyed the glorious sunsets. We were happy we ended up on the lagoon side because it’s quieter. The rooms are more like big condos/apartments. We were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness! It’s hard to believe you can get a large 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom with such glorious views for such reasonable pricing! Our family had more than enough space. There’s so much to do in Belize and even in close by Placencia village, and you should go out and do things, but it’s hard to leave this awesome property. Our 7 year old son nearly lost his mind fishing off the ocean pier (he made a friend that caught a snapper with a hand line!), and then running across to the lagoon side to try to catch snook. This place is paradise. We will be back!
