this villa is a true hidden gem. Whether you want to relax by the pool, hit the beach, or immerse yourself in Portuguese nature, this place has it all. From the view from pool to the perfect location, friendly staff, and authentic Portuguese feel – it's the ultimate escape. It is a shame that pool is not heated so we didn’t use it late Oct, but it is nice and clean.The staff, they're the real heroes here. Always helped us with request during out stay, recommended the best local spots, and kept the villa in good shape.

My family and I went to Sines Sea View for two nights, and we were absolutely stunned by the quality of the hotel. The rooms were clean, had a lot of storage space, and we even got an upgrade! The staff was attentive and friendly throughout our stay. We went to the spa on our second day and spent a good two hours in the sauna, steam room, whirlpool, and pool. It was clean, calm, and peaceful—a great place to relax. As a vegan, I was positively surprised by the breakfast options! They even had decaf coffee in the machine, which for me was a first and made me so happy. You get a good look at the sunset from the rooftop, which is spacious and filled with comfortable lounge chairs. There is easy access to the town center. :) We would definitely come back.

We were welcomed by the very professional and friendly staff, the hotel was nicely decorated for the Christmas / New Year's holiday, and the rooms were modern and very clean. The view overlooks a green area out to the sea, and the main beach is a short walk down the hill. The hotel had plenty of underground parking, a nice pool and spa facility, and a well equipped gym. There is a very nice restaurant on site which offered a wonderful breakfast in the morning, and in the evenings had an excellent restaurant with a good choice of nicely prepared meals.

For us (my wife and me) it is the best hotel in Sines (3 times). We just park our car in their underground park (free of charge, in 2024 august) and walk to the Vasco da Gama beach and to the old vilage for dinning. It is very pleasent... My wife goes, every morning to the swiming pool to make her daily hidrogymnastics.

Friendly staff. Excellent complimentary breakfast. Free underground parking. Rooms are well set up with large showers, fridge, swimming pool and extra toiletries. Area is undergoing building but did not interfere with comfort or noise level.

Easy parking outside and underground. Access to the beach very easy.

The breakfast was amazing! Plenty of hot and cold options. The best were super comfortable. Loved having the robes in the room and the ability to swap out beach/pool towels whenever you wanted. Shower was amazing. Grounds are gorgeous, pool is peaceful and clean. Proximity to the beach was perfect. Front desk staff was super sweet and helpful.

We loved our stay. We were passing through on our way to Sagres and ended up staying another night due to hotel’s quality. The hotel is excellent for many reasons, particularly its location-it's right in front of the beach with an incredible view. From the hotel, you can enjoy Porto Covo and its surroundings without needing to use a car. The place is a paradise, with amazing waves. The hotel has a fantastic spa, sauna, and outdoor pool. The staff was impeccable with us, and the breakfast is excellent. Thank you, Marta, for welcoming us so warmly.

The breakfast had so much variety, it was a great spread and not a continental breakfast. They had fruits, granola, muselli, and so many other choices. The shower is excellent!, Rooms are clean! Rooms facing pool or ocean are must, the other side has a construction building next door. It was walkable to beaches and the restaurant row. The signature spa treatment was enjoyable!

Absolutely amazing weekend! We had room with a spectacular view. The service staff was very good. The breakfast had a wide selection of fresh fruits, pastries and many other foods not to mention mimosas! Very large outdoor pool and close to many beautiful beaches. Location is perfect walking distance to restaurants and shops!

schöne ruhige Unterkunft in der man sich sofort wohlfühlt. Es gibt zwar kein Frühstück, man kann aber sehr gut in einem der Cafes frühstücken, oder sich selbst versorgen. Die Ausstattung der Küche ist hierfür eigentlich völlig ausreichend. Daher kein Grund deswegen diese Unterkunft nicht zu buchen. Der Ort selbst bietet alles was man braucht und ist außerhalb der Saison (Anfang Juni) durchaus entspannt. Fazit: Daumen hoch

Erro già stato in questo piccolo,hotel lo scorso anno e riconfermo il giudizio positivo, considerando il rapporto prezzo qualità. Essendo lalbergo strutturato in mini appartamenti, le camere sono dotate di cucina atthezzata, inoltre ognuna ha uno spazio esterno con lettini o un balcone con tavolini. Le spiagge sono a pochi minuti a piedi. Unica nota negativi il Wifi intermittente.

A beautiful, clean/modern hotel in old town Sines overlooking the beach and the port to the side. VERY friendly staff to welcome us and take our luggage. Our room had a balcony with 2 chairs and a little table for enjoying the view and the sound of the ocean. Very easy to walk to restaurants and the castle is very close - for reference. There are many winding streets and stairways to get down to the ocean/beach. We enjoyed sitting on our balcony watching the ships get guided in with the tugboats. We parked on the street close to the hotel - very tiny streets!!! There seemed to be a few parking lots scattered around as well. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful- a great way to start a day of exploring. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Was a pleasured to stay at Veleiro Hotel. Our very first time in Sines was amazing. We loved our ocean view to the Praia Vasca Da Gama. Breakfast was everyday delicious with beautiful table setup cozy room with ocean view. The bed room was perfect for our so deserved vacations days. We divided our trip to Portugal from Canada to different parts of Portugal. Travel down to Alenteijo to Costa Vicentina was on our itinerary. Then with no destination for a few days we went down to Aleteijo. One hour before we got into Sines we reached the website and everything run like a sailing boat very smooth we found this wonderful Veleiro Hotel. So happy to fine such a amazing place. Strong recommended. Thank you for such an amazing hospitality. We love It!

This hotel offered it all. Their breakfast accommodated people like me who are gluten free with hot scrambled or boiled eggs, a good selection of breakfast meats, delicious coffees, and fresh fruits. For those who are lucky enough to eat bread, they had a full compliment of breakfast choices including amazing looking croissants. Here, Catia, the receptionist with the most amazing friendly, helpful and knowledgeable service made my stay exceptional. The beauty of the hotel with it covered balcony looked out over the port. The sound of waves hitting the shoreline put me to sleep nightly. By far one of the nicest stays ever!!!! If you get the chance. Check it out. You will thank me🥰💕😊

I had a room on the second floor with a balcony, with the most amazing view. It was such a nice cute little hotel with such a peaceful view. you could hear the sound of the ocean at night. I wish I would have stayed one more night because the beaches around this area where amazing. everything was very local a perfect experience driving along on the coast. the city it self is very tiny and industrial but has a interesting flair. def a nice add to my road trip. very friendly helpful staff.

Location was great for access to beach. Close to supermarket and laundry. At the end of the street is a great cafe with really good food and coffee. View from the balcony was beautiful. The staff at this property went above and beyond so professional and friendly. Being able to use beach towels and umbrella was very much appreciated. Parking on the streets around the hotel was easy however I would imagine could become difficult in busier times.

I originally planned to stay just one night but i got sick and needed to stay for a few days. The room was clean, and big and the bed very comfortable. The manager and staff were so kind, supportive and lovely. They went far beyond what one could expect. I am so grateful because even though a travelled alone i did not feel alone. Thank you so so much!!! I would really recommened to stay here and i would certainly come back.

The site/facilities were great, in a good location. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to assist in anyway they could. The breakfast was delicious and generous. They had juice and a water dispenser on hand in the common areas which were much appreciated. The room was clean and the back patio was lovely for morning g coffee.

This place was amazing after a long day of hiking. The room was very clean, the location was excellent, and the included buffet breakfast was awesome. I highly recommend staying here; I certainly will if I ever find myself in the area again.

The location was great and the room was very clean - I could smell the laundry detergent on the sheets which made me feel very comfortable. The room was nicely decorated and the AC worked very well.

The room was very spacious, with a cute little balcony, a fridge, and a large bathroom with great shower. Breakfast included scrambled eggs and bacon, bonus! And just down the hill was a great restaurant.

Just changed owners so making an effort to please. Good sized rooms, and Aircon worked well. Heated rail in bathroom for towels! A bonus. Location was walkable to many restaurants but unfortunately many were closed either Sundays or Mondays. Both swimming pools were heated and ample children's play area. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and freshly squeezed orange juice. Due to refurbishment, no dinner available yet in the hotel.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Especially Nelson who give us some good advice. My wife especially liked the pool and the room.

Bed was super comfortable, location was great for central Sines, pool was nice too :)

Sauber und nettes Personal, jedoch etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Poolbereich könnte gepflegter sein.

Great location - 5 min walk through dunes to Ocean, 5 min walk to the city center very calm, nicely equipted place with a lot of activites - tennis, table tennis, 2 swimming pools (outside pool is colder, 3 m deep, inside pool very warm, only 1.4 m deep), nice green garden villas are close to each other but with enough of privacy for each guests, wit balcony or terrase parking places right in the front of each villa smily, kind and helpfull personell in the front desk as well as at the bar good food, coffee and snacks - we had few bourgers, cakes, soft drinks and wine, all nicely and tastefull villas big enough for a bigger families (it is 5 of us), and pet friendly (with a small additional charge for dogs) overall great experience, we do recommend!

The holiday began at check-in with Inês, she was so friendly, so helpful, so professional, and so welcoming! Our room was incredible, we could see the sunset, we slept perfectly it was very quiet. The best surprise was poolside bingo with the Loulé chicas, was a really fun addition to the afternoon by the beautiful pool, and really made us remember our time there, thank you!

Wonderful green spaces, with lots of facilities and amenities (pool, bar, hammocks, a beautiful bird cage, sports, loungers, playgrounds, etc.). Also excellent location, with nearby beaches and restaurants. The apartment was very clean, beautifully decorated, and the balcony was perfect. Definitely exceeded our expectations!

Very good price (79€ for one night in an apartment), kitchen was well equipped, we had a few of the dunes, the pool and whirlpool and sauna are really nice as well and we had a great time playing billiard.

We had a nice room overlooking the pool. Although we didn't have supper or breakfast, there's a very popular restaurant with an excellent view over the Mira River. The old town is only a few minutes walk away. Excellent value.

Didn't understand why the low rate, it was a pleasant surprise to stay in this Hotel(that seems to run like a guest house). The staff were very friendly, all was clean, room was good and the bed have good mattress. F or the guest's that want to cook, the kitchen is the best I had until know in all my travelling, is a fully equipped restaurant kitchen. For the type of stay, value for money was very good. In a next visit to Vila Nova de Milfontes, definitely will consider to stay here again.

Very nice staff, private bathroom, low price and clean. No noise from the street (but bad sound isolation from inside noises). Perfect for a night stop along the Rota Vicentina.

The person at reception was helpful , speaks English and was charming. The accommodation was good value for money.

We couldent believe this was only a one star. weve stayed in much worse three stars. it was great . and great value. we had so much room and everything we needed in a nice setting. convenient to town and beaches. the staff were really helpfull and freindly and professional. we would recommend and come again. must get a better star rating, a 2 or 3 !!!! obrigada

Ground floor apartment, very cool inside considering there's no aircon, could have done with an oven however, the 2 hobs and microwave and toaster did just fine. Lovely shower and the bed plus sofa bed were very comfortable.

The room was clean and the wifi was working well, even on the balcony. The staff was very nice and helpful. The equipment was a bit old, but everything worked well. I would definitely recommend this accomodation.

Where to start! This was a phenomenal stay. We LOVED the tranquility, the setting, the grounds, the food, the hospitality, the conversation, the ESSENCE of what Cerro da Campanico is meant to be. We booked this place when we needed somewhere to stay on a whim after seeing such great reviews and it honestly did not let us down one bit. We are so so happy we stayed here. The rooms are comfortable, bathroom is great, pool is fantastic, and most of all, the attentive and joy of the hosts was exceptional. We adored getting along with them, and the quality and standard of the food they serve - all homemade was exquisite. We can't wait to return.

We had the best stay! Everything was perfect. Rafael (the host) and his family are super nice, warm and welcoming. The place is well designed and you can truly feel the love that was put in creating it. Rafael is an excellent cook :) we are vegan and he put a lot of effort making out meals fit us. Such a peaceful place with lots of farm animals running around and ruthes to hike (they also offer free bicycle you can take) The pool was lovely with really nice view. We are so happy and thankful for our stay and will for sure come back again.

The location is very quiet and peaceful. The room was good and had a nice view and a very comfortable bed. Swimming pool was clean and with a good temperature. All the staff was super friendly (including the dogs)! 😃 The food (welcome cake, dinner and breakfast) was amazing! Everything smelled and tasted wonderfully well. I will certainly recommend the place to family and friends!

Everything! Fabulous location in the heart of the beautiful old town, on a very quiet, almost unused road. The whole place was immaculate, & beautifully kept. The staff were kind, thoughtful & nothing was too much trouble. We had one of the top floor rooms with a spectacular view of the estuary & coastline for miles, totally worth the extra cost. The breakfast was perfect, with a full array of fruit, bread, eggs, ham, cheese & pastries. Just a minutes walk from gorgeous restaurants & very close to the beautiful beach. One of the most stunning beach side towns, & absolutely 5 star accommodation. Cannot recommend enough, would love to go back!

We had such a lovely, relaxing stay at Guarda Rios. The rooms are clean, light and airy. Our bathroom was generously sized with a great shower. The hotel is well located and close to the beaches. They have beach parasols that you can borrow, which saved us buying one. There’s a large variety of great restaurants nearby. Breakfast is a highlight - fruit, eggs, cereals, bread, pastries, meat and cheeses. The breakfast room is really pretty and you can sit indoors or out. Maria and the whole team are so welcoming and kind. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel.

This is a great hotel. We stayed for two nights and got to relax and mill about the town for our first part of our trip in Portugal. The staff is lovely and will give suggestions on where to go and where to eat. You can walk everyplace in the town and to the beaches from the hotel but it is very quiet and you will get a good night sleep. There is no parking, but there is a free lot right behind the hotel that is easy. The town is very nice and lots of great restaurants and shops.

The property is really nice just like the photos, the room was very comfortable with a couch, excellent air conditioning and a mini fridge, definitely book one with a balcony or outdoor space if you can, it was so relaxing! The bathroom and shower can’t be beat, the water pressure was excellent. There is free parking a block away so that’s no worry if you come by car. You can walk to the beach and everything in town. The breakfast was very good, staff were friendly and I would absolutely recommend!

Prior reviewers have commented positively on the great location, super clean and comfortable rooms, knowledgeable staff, great breakfast. I agree with all of those. Here are a few more I would add: the central light in the room was terrific for reading; the towels were large and lovely to use; the shower (room #1) was stunning with excellent water pressure. I also believe this hotel gets it right when it comes to a perfect ambiance for a beach hotel: not too fussy and not too rustic. We were impressed and recommend it enthusiastically.

Dina was a welcoming host. She let me check in early and showed me the house and amenities - shared kitchen, and common indoor and outdoor seating areas. Our room was warm, spacious, and clean. The wifi signal was strong and there is a washing machine and laundry soap that guests can use. Dina provides coffee, tea and muesli for guests. The kitchen is well equipped to allow for cooking a meal. There is a dishwasher too so you know the dishes are very clean. In the evening Dina lit a fire in the common living room. It was a chilly night and we really enjoyed cuddling up in front of the fire. I highly recommend this guesthouse. Dina truly takes pride in the services she provides her guests!

Everything about this stay was simply amazing! We received a very warm welcome, the place was spotless, and it was lovely to be able to sit outside. But what really stood out were all the thoughtful touches that made us feel truly welcome: water in the room, free coffee, a spacious fridge for guests to use, jam and butter available… just perfect! Incredible value for money — truly above and beyond. It’s also the ideal base for hiking the Fishermen’s Trail. Don’t hesitate, this was honestly one of the best stays we’ve ever had. Neat and clean house with comfortable beds and bedding. A very well equipped living/kitchen area available for all guests. More than basics supplied in kitchen- coffee , tee , milk biscuits, croissant, jam and butter, breakfast cereal. Washing machine and ample washing line space in a nice courtyard that also serves as an outside eating area. It is a small village, so everything is within walking distance. One of the most helpful host/owners you will ever meet.

We had a warm welcome by the family who runs the hostel. Everything was very clean, the bedroom included its own bathroom and the interior design was much better compared to other places we'd been. There is a free to use kitchen with tables in the kitchen and the adjacent backyard. There was even free coffee and snacks! We really enjoyed our time at Pé na Areia and would definitely stay there again!

Wow Wow Wow! Pe na Areia was undoubtedly the best destination ever in a fabulous location. Dena our host was absolutely magnificent and so attentive to the finest detail. Such a warm, kind and welcoming person too who made our stay so memorable. Her property was a gem of a find with top class facilities provided. It certainly raises the bar significantly in all key departments. We will return in a heartbeat.

Lots of open space with nature all around. It was more than just a place to stay. It felt being at home. Resembles nothing like a comercial hotel. Nice dinning area for breakfasts and dinners in a natural setting, they also have family or lounging area to sit and relax or play games. You need to preorder your breakfast the night before so there is no extra waste of food, concept we really appreciated. Everything was fresh and brought to the table on a tray. Room was very spacious, basic furniture but authentic and comfortable. You can see the emphasis on connecting to nature and simplicity. Bathroom had all necessary amenities except plastic and unnecessary stuff, which was nice to see. They did have electric mosquito repellents in the rooms. Only comment I would make is need for an anti-slip mat for the shower. Shower floor gets slippery when wet. Also I am not sure how hot it gets if going in summer months as the rooms have no AC or fans. Check with property. We didn’t need it as the weather was still cool.

We stayed for a whole week in July. The place is very peaceful, away from urban chaos, yet close enough to nearby cities of Sines, Vila Nova de Mil Fontes and Porto Covo. Beaches are about 15 minutes away. Rooms are comfortable with air conditioning and wi-fi available. Breakfast is well served and there's also dinner if you want to for only 20€. The facilites are amazing. Super tasteful and well decorated. There's a big pool with nice sun exposure. All in all, we loved to stay here and will definitely be coming back.

This property was the highlight of our holiday in Portugal! Located in an extremely quiet area, it offers all the comfort and leisure we were looking for. The staff is amazing, friendly and super accommodating. The room was beautiful and comfortable. You imagine yourself in an oasis of tranquility. It is beautifully landscaped with flower beds. In the back of the grounds, donkeys and ostriches welcomes you. The pool lays on the perfect spot and gives you a wide view of the area. I recommend everyone to have dinner at the hotel, beautiful simple dishes and a fantastic host. Great honesty bar concept. We will come back for sure.

We thoroughly ended the rural setting and spaciousness of Três Marias. The sauna and pool are well maintained and convenient and the shared lounge and dining area are delightful. The meals we had at Três Marias were the best we had during our entire stay. We particularly appreciated the welcoming and casual atmosphere created by the staff. They were all super friendly and helpful!

The accommodation is a walkable distance from the small town, so you do not have to drive to get some food. Breakfast is available and looked great (we are not breakfast people so we did not try). The location is beautiful, with a nice view and a swimming pool. The rooms are big, clean and cosy. The shared area has a nice atmosphere and can be used to hang out or work. The outside area is big with multiple places to hang out (not just the swimming pool), so it really feels like a quiet vacation away from everything. Would love to visit again. It's a lovely place. The super welcoming staff gave us a little tour and lots of useful information about places to eat in the nearby village (we took their recommendations—fab!). There is a very relaxed feeling to the place, with lovely touches like hammocks in the gardens and bikes you can use to get down the track to the village. Nice pool area, and the pool was clean and warm. It's clear the staff take a lot of pride in their work, and the hotel - I'll definitely stay here again, and for longer, then next time we're in Portugal.

The care and attention to every detail was superb. For example, the sheets on the bed were so smooth and fine, the housecoats and slippers were pristine and cozy and the decor was beautiful and welcoming. The staff were incredibly professional and friendly. The grounds with the pretty swimming pool and the gorgeous patios were very relaxing and so enjoyable. It was a pleasure to sample the fresh lemons from the trees beside our deck when we made meals in our kitchen. The breakfasts in the main lodge were delicious and had such variety from freshly cut fruit cups to several breads and desserts, eggs, cheese and bacon. My husband loved that there was ample parking and bicycles that we rode into little Sao Luis for groceries. We were spoiled and pampered during our stay.

The property as a whole as well as the rooms were very clean which is really important to us. The staff were so friendly and nice. For us, the location was great as it was really peaceful. Not only is there a pool at the property, but also tennis court-you can borrow the rackets and balls. There is a path next to the property on which you can take a walk to a nearby village. There is not a lot of restaurants in the village, but we dined in one of them and had delicious meals for fair price. Immediatelly after our arrival we decided to prolong our stay for additional two days.

Naturarte Campo is a wonderful rural tourism accommodation! All the amenities are included (wonderful and tasty breakfast, swimming pool, tenis court). The rooms are located next to all services. The rooms are spacious and wonderfuly decorated. In fact, there are pieces of art distrubuted by all rooms, common areas included. The old art pieces are really well integrated in the renewed areas. The staff is really friendly and provides great tips on restaurants and activities to do in the area. Our particular thank you to Ana, Sónia and António for being so welcoming and nice! A really charming place to stay nearby Vila Nova de Milfontes! I intend to come back☀️.

I had a fridge in my room and at the reception there is a microwave and cooker to use. What more could I have wished for? Highly recommended!!

Amazing stay, rooms are very cozy and the beds are super comfortable. Location is great, you can walk anywhere. The staff, however, is absolutely the best: both Anne and Vítor were super considerate and helpful, our car broke down 5 minutes away on arrival and they both gave us rides on different days, Vítor even went around with us to several car shops trying to find us a fix. We'll definitely be back!

Anna was lovely and friendly and helpful. The place was amazing. I wanted to stay another night, but unfortunately, it was full ( it was my fault for not asking earlier). Loved having the patio for breakfast . Comfy big bed. Excellent shower. Good size room. Clean. Excellent location. Great cafe opposite for a morning espresso. They can also make a filled roll for takeaway for your walk at a bargain price.

Vila Nova Milfontes is a lovely little seaside town and we’re glad we found this wonderful B&B which is just a few steps away from cafes, shops and restaurants. Room is simple and great value for money. Parking is free and easy, just outside the B&B. The beach is about 10mins walk away and the lighthouse (great place for sunset) another 15mins.

The host was lovely, the room very comfortable. Overall a great place to stay after a long day of hiking. Its location near the Fisherman's trail allows for an easy arrival and easy departure. There's also a grocery store, a pharmacy and a couple restaurants near the property so no need to venture far to restock on some essentials.

Fantastic small town with very few tourists. Nice beaches. Great restaurants. But still very quiet. The hotel staf were a great help and recommended a really nice restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary . The room was very comfortable and linen was of quality. Great stay.

We had a glorious time at O Lugar. It went so far and above our expectations on every level. Every morning we sat on our balcony watching the swallows, listening to the waves and eating our delicious breakfast. Rita and Pedro are wonderful hosts. Kind, warm and helpful, they go out of their way to make your stay a special one. Our room was immaculate, calm and a lovely oasis of peace. We will be back!

I loved it all, the location, Rita and Pedro, the use of the kitchen. The only negative was that sound transferred from other rooms, and the balconies might be better served with glass between the slats so you don’t feel as though you are sharing a balcony..

Isabel was a welcoming host who showed us into the generous spaces of the bedroom and areas to sit, relax and eat, including an outside shady patio. She provided fabulous breakfasts as part of the booking cost - really great.

The location was excellent, hosts super friendly and welcoming. The room was small but very nice, cozy and cheerful and so was the private bathroom. There was a cute courtyard where they serve a good home made breakfast.

In the very town centre. The place is an extremely clean, nice romantic bedroom with the small balcony. There are nice public spaces with the welcome refreshments, cakes and very good breakfast.

The breakfast included HOMEMADE bread. The cheeses, jams, pumpkin roll and yogurt and fresh juice (and coffee) on the patio were spectacular. I was able to have an amazing massage therapist come to the garden for a massage. The location is less than 5 minutes from the start of Fisherman's Trail. The market "Supermercado Tropicação" is around the corner. Restaurants around the corner. The owner will make a small lunch for the hike for around 6 euros. I bought 2!

We only stayed here for one night during our journey along the Rota Vicentina. The self-check-in process went smoothly, and we received all the necessary information in advance. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was bright, clean, in a quiet location, and had an incredible view. Through the large French window, we had a view of the opposite hill where sheep were grazing. It was very meditative to observe, better than television. The whole accommodation had a magical vibe. The breakfast was fresh and delicious.

I stayed only for one night but just loved the place! such an amazing and calm at the same time .... yoga&surf vibes both I love so much so just perfect fit ..... the breakfest was absolutely amazing made with love ..... beautiful small cute terrace and lovely garden where you can just sit and breathe ..... you feel the care for nature and sustainability ....very kind, friendly owner ... definitely coming back when I plan to stay again in this part of Portugal ..... highly recommended!

I can’t say enough about how lovely our stay was. The room was so comfortable, the house is lovely and well located with a lovely little garden behind full of great energy. Everyone is so friendly and the breakfast is incredible. Local produce and fresh papaya from the garden, what more could you want. I could also recommend a yoga session on the deck, really magical and grounding. Can’t wait to go back.

Everything about this place was outstanding. The location was walking distance to the restaurants and the main beach. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The garden was so serene. I visit Milfontes frequently, but my go-to place was not available, so I ended up at Cerca Vitoria. It may become my new go-to place. The apartment was spacious, and has a great view. Parking is easy, whether in the garage space or on the street. I loved being able to step out of my apartment and into the pool. The town itself has a great vibe and is near a lot of nice beaches.

Good location and good sized outdoor space. Standard of quality high and very clean. Comfortable and quiet. Sadly weather was rather misty and damp so did not get a chance to use the pool.

Joanna in particular went over and above the call of duty when we asked her to call the Bombeiros because there was a cat trapped on a high roof. She messaged me afterwards to let me know the cat was safe. Great service, will definitely return.

The suite was brand new and very luminous. It had a huge balcony with a splendid view on the river. The location was perfect to walk towards the city center along the river or towards the see with a breathtaking view on the wild ocean and wild cliffs. It is also located on the fisher trail if you want to hike along the coast.

Perfect location, 2 mins walk to the beach and all shops, restaurants. Lovely patio. Smallish room, but totally adequate. Modern decor, enough storage, mini fridge very useful. Clean. Good AC. A bit stuffy in the room without it. Cleaners are a little noisy in the morning, talking and pushing furniture. Quiet at night. Staff welcoming and helpful. Easy to park. Great beach holiday location!

For us it was important this time to have the possibility to grill - check. We were looking for a quiet place - check. Rooms cleanliness - 1000% As mentioned in the description, toilets and kitchen are shared - but to be honest with you, there were no clashes in usage, and even with other guests present, it felt like own space. It is an old house, with interesting history (!). So if you are looking for impeccable newest designer interior, choose something else. However, if you are looking for simply relaxing time, search no more. We really recommend and if we are back to the area, we will not search other place!

Very peaceful place where you can rest, enjoy the rural atmosphere and have a lot of outdoor activities if you like A lot of trails around for running or cycling, and the beaches are nearby (2-3 kms) The owners are very friendly and helpful, they keep the place in top condition for their guests It's a farm house that was turned into a hostel, so you still feel that rustic touch in it which was very nice Everything is available, they made sure their guests are comfortable during their stays I'll come back again with my family Thank you

The owners, Mário and Rute, are extremely nice and friendly, and very invested in making your stay as pleasent as possible. The rooms are very clean and the common kitchen/living room and the toilettes as well. The hotel is extremely peaceful as there are mostly fields in the surroundings. You can cook or prepare light dishes, and use the kitchen as your own. In the balcony you can watch the beautiful sunset everyday. By night, it's very silent and enjoyable in the garden, and the starry sky is to die for.

Adorable place with free parking, water from the local natural water source, cozy facilities where you instantly feel home and are treated like family. The staff is STELLAR and literally sorted out any problem we came across, accommodating for earlier check-in, later check out and even shuttle service. Can highly recommend.

mario e rute are the best hosts ever. although I stayed one night they were absolutely wonderful . both of them are very easy to talk to. the facility is super nice, very clean and with all I needed. the bed was super comfortable. thank again and hope to come back soon

Idyllic location right next to Sao Luis. A lovely set of rooms located in the hills with farms around. Not too many guests meaning very peaceful and use of the pool all day. The fresh orange juice was great, as many of the reviews have noted. Jose was the most relaxed Portuguese man. Incredible value. Powerful shower. Super flexible check in and check out. Feel at home there and not a guest just a resident in this spot of paradise.

This is as good as it gets! Idalia is an amazing host! These 6 rooms are gems and the location in this lovely old town area is perfect! Breakfasts are so good with fresh fruit, eggs & bacon, toast, jelly, ham and cheese. And you can pack up your extra fruit, ham, cheese, bread for your picnic lunch ( Casa do Adro provides wrappings). There is port wine, red & white wine, and aperitifs available for self-service. And cold beer and fruit in the fridge. Dinner recommendations were suggested and reservations made for us. Rota Vicentina hiking advice was provided. The room was lovely, clean, comfortable, and each day a thermos of hot water for tea and several teas were in our room PLUS 2 pieces of the most yummy chocolate cake. I have never stayed at a B&B that went so over the top to make us feel special and help us in any way possible as did Idalia and her husband Antonio and their lovely staff!

When I read the reviews of this place before booking, I thought they might have been a bit exaggerated. Instead, I must admit that I had one of the best hospitality experiences ever. Mrs. Idalia welcomed us warmly, provided everything we could need in the room, and even surprised us with a welcome treat (tea and a delicious chocolate cake). The house is beautiful, spacious, with two terraces and complete privacy. Mrs. Idalia lives downstairs, while the guest rooms are upstairs (with a separate entrance available until a certain time). Breakfast is simply outstanding – generous, varied, and freshly prepared every morning, with fruit, eggs and bacon, toast, jams, yogurt, cereals, and more. The room was spotless, and they even provided disposable slippers. This guest house offers services that, in my opinion, are on par with a 5-star hotel. I honestly couldn’t find a single flaw, and I will definitely return!

Dona Idelia welcomed us into our home as if we were family, with her chocolate cake and fresh orange juice, a welcome treat after a long day of hiking the Fisherman's Trail. The room was lovely and clean, and we enjoyed going out on our balcony to look over the town. It is in a perfect location in the historic center of Milfontes, which made it a great home base. We were served breakfast on one of the beautiful patios in multiple courses, and she even brought us materials to package up a lunch to bring with us on our hike (and 2 pieces of chocolate cake to go!). We felt so at home, and wish we could have stayed longer.

It was great staying in Blue Guide. The managers helped me a lot by agreeing to let me check in after the agreed time because my plane was greatly delayed. The apartment is amazing and clean, with a lot of light and all the conveniences that you might need. It has a large living room area with tables, and it is great to use for remote work which I had to do while staying there. A parking place is located just a few meters away, and there is a very cozy café right downstairs which serves great food. The beach and the castle are located very close to the hotel, so it is a very nice walk there. It is a safe and pleasant place.

Amazing quiet green animal and forest kingdom. Great room, all needed is there. Stuff was super friendly, however most of the people at the spot speak only Portuguese (the horse lady speaks English and can help if she's around). There is a contact zoo and horse ride available. Beautiful place, great source of calmness and oxygen. Pool available.

The atmosphere was lovely. We really enjoyed feeding the animals and taking in the nature around the facility. The pool was also very nice.

it was a beautiful experience to check out of the city and enjoy the lovely rustic charms of this little homestead farm. it was thoroughly enjoyed by our 3 year old and I couldn’t recommend it more. And do book the horse riding as it’s not part of the hotel but a lovely lady looks after all these horses on the premises and she can be reached via the premises. it’s an experience to be cherished by all.

We had a fantastic stay at Calmaria Guest House while walking the Rota Vicentina trail. The location is perfect—tucked away in a quiet area yet just a short walk from the bus stop and the trail, making it very convenient for hikers. The guest house itself is new, modern, and impeccably clean, creating a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Our host, Felipa, was incredibly warm and accommodating, offering great local recommendations for dining and making sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were spacious and cozy, ensuring a good night’s rest after long days of walking. Breakfast was a highlight, with a delicious spread and plenty of variety to start the day right. Overall, we highly recommend Calmaria Guest House—it’s the perfect place to recharge while exploring the Rota Vicentina!

The building is quite unassuming from the outside but inside, it is a little haven. The rooms are very nicely decorated. They are small but perfect for a short stay. The breakfast is exceptional. Fresh fruit, fresh croissants, cheeses, breads etc. There was a lovely Portugese lady who was there each morning and could not have been more helpful. You wake to the smell of fresh croissants baking and coffee - gorgeous. It is in a perfect location, 5 minutes walk from the main town and the start of the fisherman's trail. It is possible to park your car behind the guesthouse for a few days while you do the walk and then get a taxi back to collect the car. Perfectly safe.

The Calmaria Guesthouse is very good located, beautiful beaches just nearby and a few restaurants in walking distance. Filipa and her staff were so friendly and helpfull, everything in the Guest House is decorated with a lot of love and the breakfast was just delicious, we couldn't have had a better start into the day!

Location is easy. Although there was road works, they didnt start till late. Room is newish ad is the complex. Every thing clean, great bed. Breakfast was so good, lady there very accommodating. Overall, yes i recommend a stay tbere. Lots of walkers in town. Town is so pretty, if i can i will return.

Amazing location with views of the water and super friendly staff. Loved all the common outdoor spaces (porch, pool area, rooftop terrace) and the breakfast offerings were delicious. Only downside was that the bed I was assigned had springs that you could feel through the mattress which was uncomfortable for sleeping.

The location is right at the ocean. There is a beautiful outdoor pool and the breakfast far was absolutely dreamy!!!

Great value, beautiful sea view, bars, swimming pool, excellent breakfast all for 20eur.

Our room and bathroom were large, comfortable and clean. The facility is in the town square and has recently been renovated and makes for a pleasant stay. The wifi was strong, ample hot water, the heater in the room was effective, beds were comfortable and room was quiet, self check-in was easy and host was responsive. There is a common kitchen with fridge, induction stove top, microwave, kettle, coffee maker and dishes and pots/pans. The host provided coffee, tea and basic spices and oils for cooking. There are also bins for each room that allow guests to identify their items in the fridge. The minimarcado right below the building has a decent selection of food and the prices are reasonable. We enjoyed our 2 night stay.

Modern building, rooms,and bath. Nice hot water and pressure, good beds, nice common kitchen. Good location right next to supermarket. Receptive staff. Never received the email with access instructions, so I recommend that being sent earlier, and in duplicate alternate means (like booking.com messaging). Fortunately housekeeper was there to make a call for me and the staff was very receptive and helpful in getting us settled.

Clean as a whistle. We had a shared bathroom arrangement but the bathroom was in fact for our exclusive use. Perfect. Well placed for the RV Historical Path. Kitchen a dream to prepare a light meal from the Meo or Coviran just around the corner. There's a laundromat nearby for stinky hiking clothes and huge drying line in the hostal car park. Perfect.

Location with value for money, given the cleanliness and attention to detail that make it a very comfortable accommodation for travelers (neat, clean, well-organized community kitchen, drying rack, bedside tables for both beds, folding space-saving table in room, community patio area, communication on arrival day.

Just wow! If you're interested in relaxing in the Portuguese countryside at a beautiful property with attentive and welcoming staff, wonderful food, a great selection of beverages, and beautifully presented interiors then Herdade da Matinha is for you. There are at least 3 pools accompanying each of the separate accommodation facilities. But from where we stayed (an ensuite bedroom in the renovated, "old house") we could only see our own house and its pool. Our room looked out onto fields of grazing sheep with the pool located a short wander to the rear. Similarly it was a very short walk through the gardens to the expansive dining and common area facilities. These were all decorated in a welcoming modern style with many artworks on display, vases of freshly cut roses from the garden, and an amazing collection of eclectic books and objects d'arte. The background music playing in the dining and common areas was always serene. I also loved that they have a sustainable philosophy; aiming to use most of their own garden produce or sourcing products locally. The owners also choose not to use pesticides - as a result you see frogs in the pond, lizards and various pollinators (birds, bees etc). Oh, and if you're wanting to do more than just laze by the pool, there are other activities on offer including horse riding, hiking, trips to the nearby beach, yoga and more. Fitting our relaxation focus, we each enjoyed a massage.

Our stay was absolutely amazing. The entire place is built up so beautiful and with love. The rooms are amazing and clean. The common space are super cozy and are very inviting to rest. The staff was amazing and the food and breakfast in the restaurant too. The pool area also looked super nice even if we didn´t use it at it was a bit too cold to swim in November :) You can do nice hikes starting from the Country house. We just really enjoyed our stay!

Super friendly staff who gave us a very warm welcome. They accommodate you with every need and it feels like one big family. The rooms were great, very peaceful, cosy and comfortable surroundings and we had the pool (one of three!) almost to ourselves. The breakfast and dinner is very good (also for vegetarians) and they offer nice activities. We did some yoga/stretching in the mornings which gave us a great start of the day. Special shout out to Florian!

Amazing place, so green and peaceful..the pools are great, the staff super nice and helpful, breakfast is perfect with lots of variety and warm dishes as option, and dinner was very good too, everything tasted fresh and healthy (they grow their own veggies). We loved also the room decoration a lot!

The room and pool were amazing with lovely walks nearby. The food was delicious and the staff were so friendly! This place was a little relaxing paradise for a few days.

My friend tried surfing, we went for dinner in restaurants like 5 mins by foot. The guest house itself is located very close to the center and around 20 mins by foot to the beach. Has enough space for parking. Host asked us questions about food preferences and our breakfast was completely perfect according for requests. Fruits, tea, coffee and fresh water are always available on the common area. Also we were invited for a dinner made by one or the hosts - she is amazing cook and it was a 5 course dinner for 30€ per person. Totally worth it!

Looking for a fantastic stay in Vilanova de milfonts? Look no further than Casa do Lado! From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed. Tomás, the host, is an absolute gem. His kindness and hospitality truly made our stay special. He was always on hand with helpful recommendations and a genuine smile, making us feel right at home. And let's talk about the breakfast! It was, without a doubt, a highlight every morning. Fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented, it offered a wonderful start to each day. You could tell a lot of care went into preparing it, with a great variety of local treats. Casa do Lado itself is charming and comfortable, providing a perfect base for exploring Portugal. We can't recommend it highly enough! You'll leave feeling refreshed and with fond memories, especially of Tomás and those wonderful breakfasts.

First of all The Host, Tomas, was very attentive and helpful. You can tell after 6 Years of hosting Casa do Lado with Help of his sister, he is a real professional, while seeming like a acquaintance who accompanies you through the stay. The breakfast is unbelievably good and customized to your taste. He gives you a list of Restaurant and things to do around the area, which is very cool. The Details in the furnishing of the Building makes the Rooms seem to be treated very good, and with love of the craft. Tomas uses a lot of local products, and supports a lot of local producers, which is very nice. The inner courtyard is stunning! We also had dinner, which they offer some days in the week, cooked by Tomas sister which was really really great! Thank you so much guys!

We travel a lot, but Casa do Lado is definitely in our all-time top 3! Wonderful host, wonderful house, wonderful area, fantastic breakfast! The house is very clean, very comfortable, quiet, and beautifully decorated. All the appliances are modern, the bed is very comfortable, they have blackout curtains, sound sleep is guaranteed. Breakfast is fantastic, fresh, local produce, quantity and quality is much better than 99% of all the hotels I've ever stayed at. The location is great, right in the center but also only a few minutes walk from the beach. There's a great gelateria and shopping just round the corner and great restaurants within walking distance. Free parking is also available.

Tomás is an excellent, very friendly and caring host, he even solved some of my travel problems (what to do and how) ahead of my stay per mail. Breakfast is not standard, but a very good and fresh food sample of regional products. Bed was very comfy, WiFi fast, location is pretty central in the main part of the little village. It is possble to park your car right in front of the building. The house is neat and small, it has a thoughtful interieur architecture and a very modern design with many special eyecatchers. There is a little outdoor patio for having breakfast (without a view). I was very happy with my choice!

The environment was clean, beautiful, sustainable and quiet. I love all animals and so hearing livestock sounds and birds is very joyful, and we got to hear animals a lot. The gardens, animals, forest were all beautiful and it was a 20 minute walk to a terrific but rocky beach. So so beautiful and clean. Good small restaurants quite nearby, but the dinner served at their restaurant was superb. Breakfast was amazing, plentiful and varied. Snacks during the day--get tuna toast sandwiches!!!--were a nice touch. Staff just so nice, but boy must they be working all of the time, as the staff is small. Need a car, I would say, to get there, but it is so relaxing that there is not much of a reason to leave [ever!]. The pool and seating are all gorgeous, there is sports equipment and bikes to use for free. One can ride horses, though we did not. They even loaned us a little beach umbrella to use! The first night there was a very obnoxious 'hen party' of some people from the UK and US. They were unbelievably rude, but luckily toned it down the next day and then were gone. Oh, and the interior of the suite was terrific. Too much good to say but a beautiful stripped down aesthetic which really appealed. Super comfy bed! Thank you to Margareta, who managed everything!

The property is on a stunning location next to the ocean, with everything you could possibly need. Including a restaurant with fabulous staff and wonderful food. The animals in their enclosures around the property are so well taken care of and a joy to visit and photograph! We didn’t take advantage of the pool as December is a bit too cold for us, but it is beautiful and quite large. The paddle tennis courts also look to be in excellent condition and having rackets and balls to borrow is a huge plus.

The property is very well managed from walking paths to visit the donkeys, Llamas, saltwater pool, and more! Room was spacious and well appointed. Dinner on site was delicious and appreciated the conversation with waitstaff and cook. Short drive to walk the wild beach - spectacular!

Beautiful location, pool, garden, animals, sea views. A good option for Fisherman's Trail trekkers, especially when you prefer staying in nature rather than in towns and villages. Limited dinner options are available (reservation required). Nice, spaceous rooms (we were even offered a free upgrade).

Outstanding staff and location. Property is very well taken care of. The farm-feeling with all the animals is great. So are the outsdoor green areas and pool side. Cozy studios with an incredebly relaxing mood. Proxikity to the beach is a huge plus. Food was delicious, quality ingredients including salads from the garden. Pets are allowed - major plus! A place to return.

It was just great stay.

Due to circumstances we arrived in Naturarte Campo and decided to stay there. Antonio, the person in charge, adjusted our reservation and we were able to immediately move into one of the villas. Beautiful stay in old rural style but with every comfort. Every room gives you a cozy feeling. Rich and delicious breakfast on the terrace, next to the swimming pool. Possible for hiking

EVERYTHING: the cool old bikes available (they were sturdy and worked great), the trail to the private river beach, the beautiful pool, the cool little cabana for resting during the day, the patio, the little kitchen, the bathtub, the quiet solitude, in short, it was MAGICAL...top spot in my month in Portugal. I will come back!!!

Stayed in 2 bedroom villa with grown up children and it was most spacious, well decorated with 2 bathrooms. Comfortable beds, nice outdoor space. Helpful, welcoming staff and had bicycles ready for us to use on site which we were thankful for as not warm enough to use the pool.

Peaceful quiet little place in a beautiful landscape. Awesome sunset views down at the river / lagoon. Clean rooms with plenty of space. Kids liked the pool as well as the cute animals (pony, pigs, goats and chicken). Also liked the close by village of Vila Nova de Milfontes

It was exceptional. We got an entire apartment in the main house (one of two apartments), and it was hands down the best apartment we’ve stayed in. It was huge (about 60sqm), nicely distributed, right above the pool and with breathtaking views. The location is unbeatable- 5km away from Vila Nova and so much calmer than the town. In the morning, you smell freshly baked bread and fried bacon by the lovely cook and see an elegant gardener watering the beautiful plants and flowers around - it feels like a true villa escape. Will definitely come back!

Our stay here was wonderful. We were lucky to have beautiful weather, so took advantage of our sunny verandah on the water's edge from morning to night. Our apartment was clean and well equipped for self catering, but the hotel is near enough town for shops and restaurants too. We had the place to ourselves (it being midweek in early March), so it was very peaceful and tranquil. We did not use the swimming pool or courtesy bar, and as it is low season, breakfast was not provided. The gardens and lagoon are lovely. Parking is easy and convenient. Daily cleaning was provided if wanted. We would definitely return to this hotel.

A very peaceful place to stay with an incredible view and pool.

We weren't too sure about the place when driving in but when we arrived it was magnificent. Peaceful, beautiful and nice too bad we were only there for 1 night. We were only 10-15 min drive to the town and it was peaceful. The staff were super helpful at the location as there was a mix up and we didn't pick up the keys on the right place but the staff was super helpful and thankfully we got it sorted!

Great location, near beaches and great eating establishments. View is one of the best I've ever had in lodgings. Very friendly and supportive staff who will do whatever it takes to ensure you have a pleasant stay. Our apartment had a full kitchen with all we needed. It was really nice to be able to fall asleep to the sound of the waves.

The hotel has a fantastic position just a few steps away from the sea and max 10 minutes away from the city center. Even though we were accomodated in the underground floor, it was still possible to see the sea from the room and the balcony. The flat was incredibly full of windows and bright.

This is an amazing place to stay. Location to the estuary and beach 1 minute away. Views beautiful. A spacious and very comfortable apartment all around. We would definitely like to return here. One of my favourite places.

Bruno and Maria very friendly helpful at all times gave us good advice where to visit and eat around Milfontes,cleaners did a very good job I would definitely recommend this stay at DunaMar milfontes..

Lovely setting with a beautiful pool, with fabulous views. Great buffet breakfasts by the pool.

Great location and great facilities for a retreat of city life. Old Alentejo housing rebuilt with good kitchen appliances (maybe some need renewal but they are nonetheless good overall). Good daily cleaning service available. Comfortable beds, good linen and towels. Small but cozy outside semiprivate area for each room. Nice infinity pool with beautiful river views. Kids pool available. Sports apparel available (badminton, soft archery). Electric car charging spot.

The infinity pool is very nice with amazing views of the river valley and surrounding hills. Nit very big and can be easily dominated by two families of four. Poolside furniture is Ikea wooden, which may be in keeping with the eco ethic but is maintenance intensive and looks a bit weathered.

It was an excellent discovery and an experience that we will not forget. The starting highlight is Silvia, who gave us a very friendly welcoming and helped us with delight with our wishes. We had a wonderful sleep with no noises and excellent beds, including an extra proper bed, replacing a sofa bed. The space with the pool and the jacuzzi just made our experience unforgettable, with breathtaking views over the river and all the nature around. Pictures are very good but cannot show the sounds and smell of the little paradise there. It has a good big cooling fridge. Soap, shampoo and gel from Rituals. We discovered that some improvements in the house have been made which make some comments in Booking invalid. This shows to me the high focus on the customer and their willingness to improve. For instance, our house 1) had all the windows (6 windows) with inner wooden shutters that allow full dark, 2)the shower had a glass instead of a curtain, 3)the sofa bed was replaced by a proper wonderful bed. Breakfast is wonderful highlighting award-winning cheese, delicious fresh cheese, dried jam, freshly made scramble eggs at a very calm place. The view from hammock at the courtyard towards the orange field and the forest is amazing.

I loved everything. The room was comfortable, it had a TV, AC, a mini-fridge and a tiny outdoor area with a table and 2 chairs, perfect to see the stars at night. The area surrounding was very peaceful and pretty, all the houses had the Alentejo typical look which makes it adorable. The pool area is perfect to chill and enjoy a beautiful view across the valley and river. And finally everyone was very gentle and friendly. I totally recommend Herdade do Freixial!

Maria waited after hours for us to make sure we were safe. She was genuinely worried and showed care. She recommended amazing restaurants, we chose 1 and it was VERY good (Ritual). The breakfast was nice, and we REALLY enjoyed the view from the upstairs patio. We enjoyed it so much, after our bike tour was finished, we returned to Mil Reis for 2 additional nights. What a treat! Maria, as well as the whole staff, are incredible.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They offered great suggestions for places to visit in town. They made a great breakfast for us in the morning for a reasonable price. The location was ideal for hiking Rota Vicentina as it was not far from the trail. The room was very clean and quiet and the place had a lovely rooftop terrace. I would recommend staying here to anyone else visiting the town.

The roof deck is incredible, the view is unmatched. Tons of restaurants right out the front door, parking was simple and easy. Breakfast was really good and had all we needed.

The kitchen was great! It had all the essentials and more including oil, salt and pepper, paper towels, kettle, delta coffee machine with pods, toaster, colander, dish towels. We almost prepared every meal at the apartment during our stay. It even had a little washing machine and access to clothes lines for hang drying. The easy communication! I just called when we arrived and were greeted with the keys and given a run down of the apartment. All my questions were answered through the booking messenger. We loved staying here and would highly recommend it!

I was really pleased with the apartment. I wasn't sure what to expect and it really impressed me. There is lots of space, the details are nicely thought out. There is a washing machine, a coffee machine and a kettle in the kitchen. There is also a huge terrace with a table. The furniture is dated but fully functional. The entire place was exceptionally clean. The host was really nice. Overall, would absolutely recommend.

I walk Rota Vicentina. Arrival time is not sure before. I was allowed to come at 15.00. The bed and shower are fine. Location is close to the restaurants, shops and boulevard. The lady advised on where to eat and shop for food.

Apartment is located very close to the centre of the town as well as the beach. It is well equipped, including microvawe and washing mashine. From the main room there was an entrance to the garden where we could eat breakfasts or chill.

The host was super nice. The apartments were clean and tidy. There is all kind of the kitchen equipment there, hair drier as well. Perfect location, there was quiet there and very convinient - near the bus station and start of Rota Vicentina.

Great location. 5 minutes walk into centre of town and the Castle, plenty of restaurants and cafes and a 10 minute walk downhill to the lovely Vasco da Gama Beach. Sines is Vasco do Gama birthplace. The hotel is currently owned by the Portuguese Society of Physicians, so all doctors get preferential bookings but it's open to the general public year round. Although 3 star, I'll give it a 4 star Boutique style hotel with only 20 spacious rooms, all with walk-in showers and full range of toiletries. The Aircon worked well and the WiFi speed was excellent as each room has it's own router. There were plenty of English speaking channels on the TV. The breakfast room was airy and bright and the choice of food was excellent with fresh orange juice, lots of fruit and excellent coffee. Secure underground parking for 20 cars and some motorcycle spaces. Overall, a lovely friendly beautifully decorated hotel with plenty of internal space including a library, gym and a pool table.

One of the most memorable hotels I've stayed at - ANYWHERE in the world! What makes it incredibly special are the staff - they just can't do enough for you! Annabel at reception personally walked us around the house. Gabby and Olga in the dining area went so far beyond expectations as to make us feel like we had been personally welcomed into someone's home. The hotel was originally designed as a home away from home for doctors. To this day, doctors receive a discount when they stay there! The property is owned by the government, and the staff seem to consider it a privilege to work there - they are very proud of the property and really work hard to ensure that every guest is incredibly pampered. The city of Sines is a must see. Whereas the Algarve is very crowded, Sines is relaxed - a slower pace of life. Very, very friendly people, even friendlier than you'll find elsewhere in Portugal.

After a long day's drive what a welcome relief to pull into the garage. The hotel sits high above the bay with beautiful views of the water. We were offered a welcome glass of the local wine (I forget the name but is delicious) and given a tour of the hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We decided to eat dinner there since the weather wasn't nice and we were tired and that was a great decision. We had pork and soup which was outstanding; they made us feel like we were the only ones there. If you're looking for a little out of the way but close to Lisbon stay here.

Biked from Lisbon to Sines on day 1 of our Portugal Biking trip. After a long day on the road we arrived at Casa do Medico rather tired. We decided to have dinner at the hotel. It was excellent. Our room was very spacious and comfy. The staff was very helpful with information regarding our route out of Sines the next morning. Breakfast was included and delicious before leaving the next day. We arrived at night and departed along a coastal road. The area along the water seemed nice though we didn’t spend time exploring it.

The house has an excellent location, great library with a fantastic view to the ocean, an even better terrace with an even better view to the ocean. The staff was above great! Giving the best experience right from the start and so many other places can learn from here. Breakfast was amazing. And the best part: There are cats around and the place built a house for the cats. They take good care of the cats. So lovely. Great water pressure and the free internet covers the whole place.

The owner was very friendly and helpful. The location is beautiful, in the middle of the Alentejo hills, bit like Alice in Wonderland, a very big pet rabit roaming around the pool, and at night frogs clean the pool from insects, breakfast is top and appartment clean

This beautiful property is located in a gorgeous rural area. The rooms are spotless and quite new. A fabulous breakfast is provided and it's a 15 minute walk to a restaurant for dinner or a little further into the town. It was a bit cool to swim when we were there but the pool looked wonderful. The host went above and beyond to help when I had an injury. We loved this place.

A very charming place near the quaint coastal village of Vila Nova de Milfontes. Well-kept resort with a cozy apartment, a well-kept pool area, a comfy community space. Hearty breakfast, freshly baked cake free of charge in the afternoon. And, above all, a great host. Antonio and his wife really made us feel at home. They provided lots of information on the surrounding area, on the best hikes, restaurants to visit, beaches to look out for, road to use and not to use, etc.. If you look for a quiet retreat in the middle of nature, this is the place to go.

A gem! It’s a spectacular place ran by two very kind and generous Portuguese people. Very good breakfast, stunning place tastefully decorated, and close to many Alentejo attractions. Our children loved the mini golf and the pool. We truly enjoyed the many sitting and relaxing areas of the property. We were received with a very warm welcome and a little apero, which felt great after a longish car ride under the sun. We really recommend and would love to go back.

Terrific hosts who have created a fabulous facility from traditional agricultural buildings. Our room included all 'mod cons' within a fully renovated building. Breakfast was excellent (loads of choice) and the team are charming and helpful. Swimming pool and grounds are in excellent condition, and all set in a wonderful location that looks at an incredibly tranquil landscape. The coast and town are 10 min drive away. Would recommend and will definitely return.

What I loved the most about this property was how comfortable it was and the hosts who were really amazing . We were there in family with the kids and it was wonderful for them. They could enjoy the pool, all the outdoor space, the mini golf . The house was super comfortable and the kids also loved it.

Extremly friendly staff, the entire location was very pleasant, well maintained, with covered parking, a well kept pool and a fun mini mini golf course. The breakfast was also very good, with the staff checking if we were satisfied or needed anything else. Overall, nothing remotely close to negative to say about this, it was perfect.

it was so clean and the rooms were massive and the swimming pool. indoor was so clean as was the jacuzzi. with free tea and coffee at hand day or night spacious longe and massive comunal kitchen. however for a very modest sum a full a la carta breakfast. is available for you with all you can eat and more. what’s more the guest house was very quiet and private. I would definitely book again

Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, pool and jacuzzi were amazing. Kitchen had everything we could have needed and more.

We loved our stay, enjoyed the pool, jacuzzi and sauna. The bbq outdoors was also great to cook up a lovely meal. The area is also close to the shops but little parking right outside the house. There is a back street on the left that is hidden so plenty of street parking there. The house has 9 rooms on 4 floors. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were lovely. My daughter had a wonderful time too, she's says it was excellent!

Very clean every day. Jacuzzi and pool were great since going into the sea at this time of the year might be a bit unpleasant. Private hot tub was also great. Mini frige in the room was a pleasant surprise. The mirror over the bed was definitely a surprise.

Milfontes exceeded our expectations; the historic area near the fort is interesting. The trails at the point were unique. We had an excellent, free, full breakfast buffet at the HS Milfontes Beach Hotel where we checked in. Staff was super welcoming. We were happy we stayed at this apartment for one night.

We loved the room. The silence was amazing. We didn’t hear a thing in the room. The patio is beautiful. The bed was super comfy and we had the most amazing night of sleep. Very well located.

Host was very kind and helpful when we had to change booking dates. Room was perfectly located in the center of town, only a short walk from the beach. Room was clean and spacious with everything we needed.

Lady at reception was very lovely and the rooms are renovated and comfortable. Location is at the heart of the village, near the beach and restaurants. Also there's free parking 2 streets away (5 minute walk).

Fabulous Staff who went above and beyond, no request was too much trouble. Extra requests for our friends birthday were great and the communications from the property were excellent. Furry Friends allowed made the staynspecial.

It is located on the main street, and close to amenities. The apartment is spectacular with a loft living room, kitchen and terrace with a great view of the ocean. Daniela was welcoming and helpful - such a treat!

One of the best hostels where we stayed during our Fisherman's Trail trip. The place is so cute, regular house turned to a hostel for a limited amount of people so it felt extremely homely, peaceful and warming. Easily accessible, self check-in also makes everything much easier. The beds were super comfortable, kitchen is well equipped and there is also a bathtub in the bathroom so you can really enjoy your shower after a long day of hiking and you can also rest in a little backyard and enjoy yourself on a nice summer evening.

Very well situated when doing the fisher man trail. Lovely place, beds are comfortable and even have curtains for privacy. There is even a washer free of charge (no soap tho) that you can use ! Never seen that before ! I only stayed one night but it’s a lovely place. Well worth the money. Most of the travellers there are doing the hike so it’s a nice way to connect with other hikers too.

Best hostel I stayed in during my 6 weeks in Portugal. Brilliant price, and it's like you're staying in someone's home- nice really well equipped kitchen, a relaxing living room and lovely terrace, and lots of travel guides etc. especially for walking the fisherman's trail. Very friendly staff and guests. Clean, comfortable. Highly recommend.

This is a fantastic hostel! I really appreciated the individual outlets and reading lights at each bed, as well as the privacy curtains and personal drawers that you can lock (if you have your own padlock). The kitchen had everything you could need for cooking, and I loved the common area and small courtyard for relaxing.

This place was way better than I expected. Great location but the real shocker was our big, bright room with a sunny balcony, mini fridge, comfy beds, and strong, hot shower. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming.

It was clean and comfortable. The room was spacious and quiet. The location was perfect and would stay there again.

Parfum de la Mer is a beautiful home. Exceptionally clean and well equipped. But the best thing about the villa is the super friendly and helpful owner. He welcomed us with beautiful tapas and a bottle of wine and gave us lots of great recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. He even bought us a kettle so we could have tea ❤. O Bejihna the fish restaurant on the harbour is amazing. It's easy to walk to anywhere in town/to the beach, and the major out of town supermarkets are 5 minutes drive away. The house is set over 4 floors from basement (garage, laundry room, bbq, bedroom and shower room), ground floor (well equipped kitchen, living and dining room, downstairs WC, huge TV with the premium football channels), first floor (3 bedrooms, 1 ensuite and a bathroom) and second floor (attic space and bedroom). There are 2 terraces and a lovely outside space under a pergola. You have the whole space to yourself.

This is the most beautiful home in a convenient location with all the facilities you could possibly need for a family or group stay in Sines. This place is huge, we were just two people but it would be perfect for a family or group of 4 or 6+. Plenty of bathrooms and parking out the front.

Location and parking were great. The place was very spacious with comfortable beds. Lots of fire wood was provided and the flat screen TV was great for our family to watch movies. Heaters in every room and a fully equipped kitchen. We were very comfortable and would highly recommend staying in this wonderful home.

Close to Sines Center and the beach. The house is big and provides everything you will need for a nice weekend getaway close to Lisbon. The kitchen is fully equipped and cooking there for eight people is nicely possible.

Exceptional property , just a short walk in to town and beaches great restaurant 100m away. Lovely courtyard and wonderful host who met us at the property and gave us the keys.

This is a hidden gem found down a country dirt track. So beautiful, quiet and peaceful. Ines is a warm and gracious host. The place is kept immaculately clean, and the breakfast is lovely. The pool in the evening was so relaxing. As there are only a few rooms you can be assured of a peaceful stay. I would recommend this Herdade and we will definitely stay here again in the future. There are several cats and dogs which is just perfect for us as we love animals. The dogs keep mostly to themselves and the cats don't bother you unless you want them too, which we did and happily gave them cuddles.

It is a cozy little house on a farm. Every room has a terrace with view on the field and woods. Great infinity pool, but some wood storage standing in the corner. Loved the three cats. Breakfast nice, but for the price as expected.

Great place to be! It’s a small house that you share with a handful of other travelers. You have everything you need, including an amazing terrace with pingpong table! Would definitely stay here again!

Everything is new, pretty and very clean. Towel on the bed when you arrive. Bed and towel has pleasant soapy smell of being fresh and clean. And the bed is super comfortable!

The room was very clean and included a spacious bathroom. The hostel is located near the city center, which is quite nice as there is lots to explore in Villa Nova (compared to the other small towns at Rota Vicentina). I'd definitely stay there again, what really stood out was the cheap price compared to accommodations in other towns.

Very good! Nice big comfy bed which is what I needed after a hard days cycling. My bike was stored safely inside. Right in the middle of town- perfect!

The room was lovely and exactly as pictured. Beds are comfy and the atmosphere is amazing here. Plenty room to unpack clothes & there is a large fridge so you can do some shopping in the nearby supermarket and have your own snacks and drinks if you want. We also loved the bathroom, the shower is amazing and the bathroom is spacious with room to leave the toiletries of two guests. The owner is so lovely, we had a nice chat with her every day. She was also very nice and understanding when we had been too loud at night and offered our sincere apologies. Everything you need is right around the corner: shopping, bars & restaurants and, of course, the beach! Be sure to pack plenty of sunscreen, the sun burns in this part of Portugal!

Why do we ever pay for expensive hotels when we can find a perfect little place like this with everything we need at a great value? Twin beds comfy, plenty of room, a good-sized fridge, plates cups cutlery plus a kettle and microwave, lots of hot water, everything lovely and clean. Friendly staff and freedom to come and go as if it was our own place. We parked about three mins walk away as you can’t drive down the short “travsssa” to the house, but plenty of car parks all free in Milfontes. A sweet village with some excellent restaurants and great hiking/beaches.

We really enjoyed our stay. Check-in was easy and there is lots of free parking nearby. It’s a lovely place and our room was perfect with a nice balcony to enjoy an early evening drink. It was nice to have a fridge and some other basic kitchen equipment. It was an ideal location - in the town and 5 minutes walk to the nearest beach.

Lovely little apartment. Well thought out detailed accommodation with microwave, kettle and bbq. Cutlery and crockery too and drinks in the fridge all set around a courtyard so possibilities for social time. Location near a childrens park and the town centre. 10 to 15 mins to the beach. A perfect spot for a stay.

The room was so cute and cozy! Had everything we needed like a kettle, plates, cutlery and fridge. The courtyard was a nice place to sit and enjoy a meal as well. Would definitely return! We were hiking the fisherman's trail and found some good restaurants nearby.

We loved everything. This is the most wonderful B and B we have ever stayed in. The apartment is beautifully decorated. It is clean, well appointed and has a lovely view of the sea. The bedroom is large with a comfy bed and lots of storage. The bathroom is also large and has a good shower with fluffy towels. It is conveniently located with a lovely little restaurant across the street. Ana left us a bottle of wine and list of restaurants. I wish we could stay here longer!

I usually never give 10 points to anyone, but this place exceeded our expectations. Hosts - above our expectations, we stayed for a longer time - apartmets were even cleaned few times mid our stay. Towels changed. The apartmet does not have a washing machine to the host agreed to take care of our clothes and we received it folded and fresh in our apartment. The location is very central - basically after you walk around the whole Sines - you understand that you live in the best part of it.

The apartment is in a great location. The hosts are amazing, very friendly, and welcoming . The space is great, the beds are comfortable, and it has all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Definitely recommend. This was our second stay and when we visit it is always our preferred place to stay but due to it's popularity we can not always book it. Thank you to Dario and Ana.

We had an exceptional stay at Ana's Apartments. The staff were incredibly accommodating. The location is perfect, with helpful recommendations for local activities and dining. We highly recommend it and look forward to returning!

Ana was wonderful! The apartment was perfect. Close to everything, better equipped than my house and a wonderful patio with view. I hope I'm able to return.

We absolutely loved our stay here. Perfect for a couple or solo traveller. The apartment was super cute with nice design and features. There is a balcony to enjoy the sunshine. Nice big windows. The bed is super comfy and when the windows closed nice and dark, which I love for a good sleep. The shower was powerful and plenty of hot water. Lots of kitchen amenities including a fancy coffee machine (coffee provided), blender, pots & pans, big fridge etc. We cooked a fair bit here. There's also a stash of oil, vinegar, spices which was so helpful to not have to buy everything. Wifi worked like a dream. Our check in was super smooth; we were met and shown around the apartment and given ideas of where to eat and what to do. There's coffee shops, restaurants, a great local market, ice cream shop, beach within walking distance. There was a random group singing in the restaurant downstairs one evening, but we didn't mind so much and actually went to watch through the window as they sounded amazing. I'd highly recommend a stay here, you won't be disappointed. If I could I'd move in!

Centrally located apartment that has everything we needed: a nice terrace under roof, washing machine, comfortable bed and a well equipped kitchen. The apartment is very well maintained, clean, has a comfortable bathroom and the owner made sure that all the basic items such as olive oil, tea, coffee and even detergent for the washing machine are available. Location is very quiet in spite of being central. In case you need any advice the owner will quickly get back to you. Thank you.

The flat, although small, is very cosy, well decorated, clean and has a lovely terrace. It's perfect for a couple. The location is also great. The bakery, supermarket, ice cream shop and restaurants are just in walking distance. Nuno, the owner, welcomed us with a bottle of wine and gave us many recommendations on Google maps through WhatsApp to make it easier for us. I can fully recommend it

Absolutely perfect, our favourite town in all of Portugal and the very best place to stay! Nice terrace, large apartment, very well equipped kitchen, and most of all Igor was a wonderful host. Nice to be able to wash our clothes. Very homey feel, thanks to the finishing decorative touches. We will definitely stay here again when we return!

Super clean and cosy studio that had everything one needs, including washing machine. Location was convenient and close to everything. The host, Nuno, was very helpful with everything. Also the village of Vila Nova de Milfontes has good wibes. Hope to be able to come back someday so that I can enjoy it all in better weather.

Yulia and her mother are just amazing hosts! They made our stay in this beautiful place even more pleasant! We were lucky to be there alone and they provided us with all necessary supplies for doing barbecue and dine outside. The pool is huge and well maintained, the studio where we stayed is modern and well equipped and the breakfast is a whole experience! Yulia and her mother are definitely there to make everything they can to turn the guests experience into a memorable stay. Definitely a place to come back!

The location was excellent, in an area which was very quiet in October, by the fishing port, but within easy walking distance of the village centre. The house was small, but roomier than you might expect once you were inside. The bed was comfortable and there was an armchair and small sofa. It had everything needed for a short stay.

We loved everything about our stay here, the location could not be better, our host was perfect in communicating and generous of heart! Far and beyond our expectations, the energy warm and comforting. Joane put a lot of attention into making sure the kitchen was fully equipped and the entire apartment and patio were comfortable and efficient! Thank-you Joane!!

Casinha da Baía is located near a cute fishing port. The house is small but very well cared for and equipped with everything you need. having breakfast on the terrace was very pleasant. The house is fresh and clean. overall I recommend staying here, especially if it is not a one-night stop.
