Waitstaff and bartenders were all excellent. our butler was very helpful with all of our reservations and any needs. Swim up bar bartenders and food truck waitress by rooms were very excellent and LaTorres wait staff was excellent and very helpful.

Rodney was our Expedia butler and he was terrific! The resort was amazing, the people are amazing and the food was so very good. Put this trip on your list and make sure you get the Jr swimup suite.

We had a great time at TRS Turquesa. Our swimout suite was great, and our area was very quiet. We had a peaceful beachside massage one morning, and spent most of our days by our pool. The restaurants were all very good, and there was always a variety of food. A huge shout-out to Norielis (Noris), our butler; she was incredible! She managed all of our reservations for dinner and was so helpful with our requests. Our vacation would not have been the same without her!

Our stay at Barcelo Bavaro Beach resort was amazing. The beach was phenomenal, pools were clean and beautiful and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Overall we would definitely go back! The rooms were nothing fancy but they were spacious and clean, and a close walk to the pool and lobby. The pool area and bars were great. Service was quick, good quality alcohol and kind and professional bartenders. Even though the hotel was sold out we had no issues finding a lounger to sit. The main pool at the Beach adults only section was quiet and very low key. If you wanted more of a party area, the Palace property is a close walk and that pool is definitely more lively with a swim up bar and music. But they also have quieter pools over there as well if that’s more your speed. The beach was absolutely amazing and again, no problems finding somewhere to sit at any time of day. The palm trees provide lots of shady spots too and the beach was clean with phenomenal warm water and barely any waves. The restaurants were just okay, but that is to be expected at an all inclusive in my opinion. The service was great and the buffets were actually better than the sit down restaurants. We stuck to the Dominican food (rice/beans/plantains) as well as the sautéed veggies and baked chicken eggs and oatmeal for breakfast all of that was really good. Some of the fish and steaks were not our favorite but we are more on the picky side as well. Again; overall a great experience!

Where do it start? I book this resort for my 50th birthday. I stayed from May 5th to May 9th. My flight into DR on JetBlue was smooth. I arrived at the resort around 3:30pm due to the airport long line. Upon arrival at the resort. There was a wait to check in due to one person being at the resort front desk. That was a 20 minute wait. When it was my turn to check in. My room was not ready. I was told that I could get something to eat at one of the restaurants buffets until 5:30pm. By that time I’m finished eating my room should be ready. I went to get something to eat. When i reached the restaurant buffet it was closed that was at 5pm. I decided to explore the resort. The resort is beautiful. Clean, comfortable, beautiful nice large size resort. At first sight I fell in love with the beach. I knew that would be where I would be spending my time while on vacation. The pool is big. It’s clean. I notice throughout my stay they cleaned both beach and pool. In the early morning. Back to my room situation. Once I was done exploring the resort. I made my way to the front desk. My room was finally ready after 2 hour wait. There was a elevator I took to my room. The elevator was clean. My room was big. Like a master bedroom. The only thing. I was unable to enjoy the patio. I love the location on my room. I wanted to be the beach. I’m glad I wasn’t. I was tucked away nice a quiet. My room was cleaned daily. Entertainment every night. The main area of the resort was busy. In a good way.

Staff was very friendly and were able to communicate with me and my wife well. The area is also nice (no bad smells and clean conditions for all areas) the buffets were well air conditioned and food was great with lots of choices. The pools were great cool, refreshing temperature and clean, and the outside bars had great choices for drinks. The walking distance between areas was moderate but not too bad, and the nightclub as well as casino were very well air conditioned and overall a fun, comfortable experience. The room was also very nice and clean, with stocked mini bar and cable TV. AC worked very well, and the wrist room key card bracelet Vs a card you can easily lose was a cool touch. Housekeeping was also great.

This property is perfect for someone that has a disability & difficulty walking any distances.Rooms,though dated, were spotless & had the largest, comfortable bed we have ever seen & the Longest pillows ever!The Beach literally had NO waves in the 11 days we were there, very calm.The Adults Only pool was never crowded.The Food was quite good & had many options.The A La Carte Restaurants were all unique & had great food.Staff were attentive & always around.Entertainment (bands) was from 10-11pm & was good.The Palace next door was huge,busy & had many restaurants.We will definately Return to Barcelo Bavaro Adults Only!~~~

I love how beautiful everything is, the winding paths, the pools and palms. I love Their spa and their entertainment at the big theater. I love the cozy feel of Mamey Bar and sitting out at the low tables under the stars. I love to go for afternoon tea with treats at the Palace. I love the warm ocean water even in January. The rooms are nice and comfortable. Two sinks is nice. The buffets are great. La Brisa right on the ocean is so quiet and beautiful to have lunch at. Many activities if you like that sort of thing

The location of the hotel was perfect, right in the middle of Bavaro beach. Each day there were multiple activities and the staff was very friendly and professional. The hotel itself was beautiful and we had a lot of fun going around the swim up bars and beach.

Excellent experience at the swim out room....very relaxing! Food was good. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Had a good experience with our butler, which is the first time that has been a good experience. Will definitely be coming to stay again and would recommend to anyone.

We really enjoyed the feel of the place. It was very relaxing which is what we enjoyed the most. The private swim up and cabana were very much enjoyed. There were two employees that were particularly amazing, Isaa the bartender in the preffered club lobby and Marcelo our concierge. Isaa was just so pleasant to be around and made very amazing drinks for us. He was really great! Honestly we arent sure what we would have done without Marcelo. He went above and beyond with everything! He told us he would take care of anything we needed and he really did. He made things so easy for us. Thankyou Marcelo! We will see you again!

We had an amazing expierence at dreams royal beach! We stayed in the master suite with private pool in the preferred section. It exceeded all my expectations! Our concierge, Billy, was amazing! He went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met. The entire staff was warm and welcoming and all made it a point to acknowledge our children and make them feel special as well. The resort is clean, our room was very comfortable. The entertainment both day and night is fun and family friendly. The food is OK, it’s not great but it’s not bad. However I do not go to an all inclusive with the expectation of 5 star food. The preferred breakfast buffet has many options and a great omelette station. The burgers were great everywhere! And the hibachi was fun. My favorite dinner was the fajitas at the Mexican restaurant. Overall we had a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone!

Spent our 21st wedding anniversary there and absolutely loved it . I highly recommend this resort to adults as well as families . Our swim-out room was amazing and very clean. The staff super friendly and helpful. Their food was delicious and plentiful. The only issue I had was with finding chairs in public areas around the pool. The resort should stop quest from claiming beach chairs overnight by leaving towels and personal items on them. I still give them a 10/10

The staff on the resort were AMAZING from Check-in to Check out. I stayed with my mom and her grandchild. My mom loved the flora and the over all ambiance. She really enjoyed the pool. I was given an upgrade on my room to a swim up suite and I enjoyed that thoroughly. I would return again to this resort.

Absolutely beautiful facility. The dining was great in all restaurants. My only complaint was I’m a diabetic and if would have known they don’t have Diet Coke in the DR I would have brought my own with me so the all inclusive alcohol was a problem for me. Limited drink options. No swim up bar. They need workers walking around collecting empty drink cups. No designated place for us to put them so people would just leave them laying around the pool.

The food was outstanding at the restaurants. It is hard to book them. Reservations fill up quickly. Restrooms get dirty fast. Not because the staff aren't cleaning. The humans using them are the issue. Our swim out suite was great. Do not use the glassware or coffee cups without sanitizing. Do not drink the water. We asked for the extra bottled water for coffee and brushing teeth.

Armando and Houston were the best! They provided great butler service, answering all of our questions and making sure our stay was the best it could be. My husband and I did get a couple's massage during this trip and I must say that this was our only complaint. The massage was horrible. Massage lacked pressure although we booked a deep tissue Swim out suite was nice but we didn't utilize much due to the pool needed to be cleaned, skimmed of bugs and there was a lot of sand at the bottom of the pool.

The experience was amazing. The Butler service, Armando/Houston, was outstanding and met every request made. The first day I requested extra water and ice, I did not have to ask for that anymore. My ice was refilled without asking. They did a flower arrangement for my wife, which included heart-shaped flowers in the Jacuzzi tub with bubbles. We were pleased with all of the staff, and many were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Glady at breakfast and lunch. You want eggs cooked to order, look for her on the grill. LeBron (AKA the Goat), we debated that l said, Michael Jordan is the Goat, he was in many places and very funny. Samuel, the waiter this gentleman was truly amazing every morning at breakfast. He remembered to get my wife a mimosa and to have ice on my table, coffee, and light cream. I never had to remind him or ask him for anything. Mr. Smile, thank you for the Spanish lesson and the archery lesson. Ms. Dai, thank you for teaching me how to play the game of tossing the balls, the dancing lesson, and your Twerking. Mr. Fritz, I cannot forget you. Thank you for showing and explaining all of the amenities of the resort. Thank you for everything. We had the swim-out suite with personal butlers, Room 7034. They clean your room twice a day and refresh your towels. I have no complaints about this resort. I enjoyed everything about it. If you want a great cabana, look for number 45. It is surrounded by trees. So you get the shade and the breeze off the beach.

Picked a Swim Out w Butler. Everything nice until the morning when we found out we were next to the loading ramp, had to move due to unbearable noise. The app for texting the butler is worthless had to use wassap w them. Butler svc adds no value, you can do what they do for you, all they do is relay everything to others and do not get things done faster (1 buttler per floor). Now, the rooms were nice, facilities clean, quiet, no kids, no regueton. Shows were nice and staff was friendly. Food and drinks were good. I would recommend it for a peaceful retreat. 4 nights was enough. Must go to Coco Bongo in the Gold Members section (eat before)

Amazing grounds and breathtaking views. Rooms are just as beautiful as the landscaping, maintenance and housekeeping were a plenty keeping things clean and tidy. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful, some a bit inexperienced. Requests for simple items took some time to receive or were forgotten. Nothing horrendous or superior just adequate service. Swim out room was very convenient and a pleasure to have especially on a on and off rainy day, but placement near the access road was a bit noisy. Always an activity to keep busy with during the day or evening, and overall well worth the cost for an all inclusive vacation.

My wife and I visited the JOIA Bavaro late May early June. The place was very nice and the food was some of the best we’ve ever eaten at an all- inclusive. Make sure you request Junior for your butler if you can. He is a very personable assistant and will see that your every need is met! He and his counterpart, Valentin arranged for a beautiful rose pedal evening celebration for my wife and I to celebrate our 46th anniversary. The entertainment team is a blast. Make sure you say hi to Jacinto wherever you find him, behind the pool bar or out on the grounds. The foam party is a great time, make sure you look for it at the pool on Fridays. Don’t miss the Gala event at the buffet on Thursday night, it is the best display of seafood, sushi and desserts you could imagine! The beach unfortunately had a lot of sargasso seaweed but the resort did all they could do to remove it. Bali bed game is real, so if you want your favorite location you will need to get up early to mark it. Overall, this is a great resort made much better by the people that work here. The beach is still amazing and outside of the sargasso season is one of the best in the world!

Great people and great service. I'm glad we did the preferred club because there was no limit to what we could do. We loved the private pool we had. Orlando was a great host and kept us in the loop about everything going on throughout the day. I wish they had sports channels on the tv in the room.

I loved the Swim Up pool option we selected for our room. This was a definite game changer!

The mildew smell is unbearable in the swim up rooms.

The property was beautiful, lush greenery everywhere! We had a swim out room and loved it. The restaurants were good, losts to choose from. The food on the buffets were a little bland. We enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

Property is extremely large. Lots of sitting options . Unfortunately, not a good resort when it’s come to electricity. Poor tv service with limited to no channels and no apps to sign in. Takes almost a full day to charge your phone with there in room plugs. Towels and cloths are cheap and thin. We stayed in a swim up and they don’t provide pool towels and you only get 1 room bath towel at a time. Staff doesn’t understand English that well so have an app to translate and or speak the language. We visited resort this year in end of February.

Service here is Fabulous. Everyone was friendly and always helpful. Especially our butler Armando. Beach is beautiful. Loads of tiki huts to sit under at the beach. Pool is huge. Towels are huge. There is a beach tote in your room to use. Food is good. Lunch was the best. Great Wifi and lots of tv channels. Celebrated my birthday and they did some really nice surprises .

Extremely clean and well maintained. Not too big to navigate. Great layout. On the Ocean,nice pool.

We had an amazing stay at the Grand Palladium. The resort was clean and easy to navigate. We got the swim up room and it was a great experience!

The swim out room was amazing as well as the beach. Food at the buffets was less than desirable.

We had an amazing 5 night stay in a Palace Swim-Up Room. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. We loved the swim up pool. It’s very quiet. Our concierge Argenis was the best. He took care of us. Got our dinner reservations taken care of and always made sure our mini bar was full in our room with whatever we needed and wanted. Everyone at the resort was so accommodating and friendly. The pools all have swim up bars and they are fun. Our favorite pool was the Punta Cana Resort pool and Luis is the best bartender at the swim up bar. Don’t forget to tip all your bartenders, servers and concierge. They definitely take good care of you. The Palace pool was very hot and had a lot of kids in it. The adult only pool is also very nice. All of the restaurants were good but our favorite buffet was Poseidon. Rosa was our server at several restaurants and she is truly a sweet lady. The Sports bar is also a fun place and it is open 24 hours. We can’t wait to go back again.

Went with my husband and 2 year old son. The resort is beautiful - 3 in one. Would only recommend the palace as the other connecting resorts were older and not as nice. The junior swim out suite was amazing. The food was better than expected and had good variety and options at the buffet and a la carte. Shows were good for families. The pools were great and the kids waterpark. Service was very good and staff was friendly. There were a few things we did not like such as the train shuttle took very long to come, room service did not have half the menu, our pool filter didn’t work well. But overall had a great time and would recommend.

This resort is quiet and pleasant, first, at the time of our stay there were a bunch of chainsmokers that made it almost impossible for us to stay at the pool area, it only has one pool, so it is smoke party or go to the neighbor resort, the punta cana, that has two pools. Which we did and the ambiance there was better, the quiet pool next to the snacks shack. Another low was unavailability of a la carte restaurant spot, only got one , and was not so impressive, the steaks place, the experiencewas saved by the excellent service by Ingrid. Overall, nice stay, service 5 stars, from front desk, bars, buffet servers, the service here really makes you want to go back.

Unique swim up room was amazing. Property was beautiful. Restaurants had fantastic food. Buffets were just ok, service was lacking and shows are really late. So we had an amazing time but probably not the best for young families.

Resort is very up to date. Very energy efficient. Huge area to do alot of things. Quiet most nights around room areas. Nice staff. Pretty good food, but menus were not the best. Mexican resturant needed to be updated. We purchase Unique and didnt get the room we wanted. Got upgraded to swim up, but for our age it was to far for us somedays . Room 1132. Bet best resort in the area. Room service saved us.

Overall we were pleased with some aspects, not so much with others. The pros: Swim up suite is very nice and comfortable. The service in general is very good, with most staff being attentive and friendly. The dining restaurants offered good food and great service. The coffee shop is very nice and the gym is massive with top notch equipment. The cons: Buffets were underwhelming. There was a wide variety of rather poor quality food. This applied to both breakfast and lunch. The beach is a sore spot. Lots (and I mean LOTS) of party boats are permanently mooring on the beach. The view is fully obstructed and the water is not as clean as it can be. The sand had not been cleaned from the algae washing ashore, and even the lounging areas were not properly cleaned. The main pool is huge, but is missing a swim up bar. Overall, if you want to be away from the floks of boozy tourists, and receive good service, that’s the place to go. Just curb your “5 star” expectations around the food & beach.

Overall we really enjoyed our trip to Lopesan Costa Bavaro! The hotel is beautiful and they do a nice job with keeping the grounds clean! We upgraded to the Unique Club and felt it was worthwhile for the small difference in cost. We ate breakfast and lunch at the Unique Club by the beach everyday - enjoying the view of the ocean while we ate. The food choices were great at the Unique Club - I was able to each fairly healthy with omelettes and grilled chicken salads at lunch. My husband enjoyed the filet/steak options too on the grill. The restaurants were all pretty good and had decent portion sizes. The steakhouse was really good and liked that it was for adults only. We read reviews about the poor service, and were a little nervous about that. We felt that we had great service overall! Our butler was Isaury and more than willing to help us book our dinner reservations and went above and beyond to help me organize a dessert surprise for my hubby's bday. We really enjoyed the drinks at the Unique Club bar - they were definitely better than the drinks we got at other outdoor bars on the property. We loved the lobby bar in the evening with a drink before or after our dinner. Shout out to Katherine and Franklin at that bar for being so pleasant and service oriented! Our on only cons were: 1 - lack of a swim up pool bar (which we knew when we booked) 2 - Spotty service for drinks around the pool 3 - Night entertainment started late and they canceled some during stay

Paradisus is a great property and scenic views. Always stay in a Master suite or better if more than two people. Swim up rooms are also ideal. Good food and great service. The only thing I didn’t like is being bothered to see the MELIÁ presentations. I have been at 3 different Paradisus properties and they all do the same thing. I’m not interested in the presentations which I have done on two separate occasions. Again other than that it was a great property and a great stay. Will return and stay at Grand Cana swim up rooms.

First off, our concierge Christopher was the best. He took excellent care of us and our dinner reservations. Always made sure we were good. The hotel is very beautiful, but could use a few upgrades. Some of the bedroom doors have gaps in the wood. There’s only one hook in the bathroom area for your towels. There’s no shelves. The AC could be a little cooler. It won’t go below 69 degrees and that’s not cool enough in a hot and humid climate. We woke up damp in sweat both nights. The mini bar and snacks are nicely stocked, but the fridge isn’t cold. The beverages feel tap warm. The pools are all nice. Great service and super nice staff. Pedro and Greivin were great at the pool bars. They made sure we were always good and made great drinks. You have to go see them if you’re there. The beach is nice, but really hated all passersby trying to sell us something. Whether it was braids, massages, excursions, photo opps….we just wanted to relax and it made it a bit difficult. The water was also a bit murky. The restaurants were a hit or miss. Buffet was always cold and bland. Sante wad ok. Food wasn’t the best. The lava cake was not good. I didn’t like that one of the servers kept insisting we ask for drinks even after I told her repeatedly that we were good. Flora Cena was good. Andrea was the best server. Such a beautiful soul. Entertainment is lacking a bit. Need more fun activities. The Kicks bar could have some cards, board games, or jenga.

The property was beautiful and there were pools for everyone. Never been to a property with so many pools. Property has amazing dinner options and restaurants. However, I had a bathroom showered that flooded and was never repaired. Booked 2 rooms but was given rooms on opposite ends of the property. So my mother was alone on other side of property. Front desk staff did not work hard to correct this error.

We returned to Paradisus Palma Real in April 2025 after a great experience in 2023. Having stayed in many North American resorts, this review reflects a seasoned perspective. 1. The food remains excellent—diverse, high quality, and consistent with our last visit. I hope they maintain this standard. 2. The resort is exceptionally clean. 3. Staff are friendly and helpful across the board. 4. The beach is beautiful. We’re not sun-lovers, so the shaded huts near the water with comfy beds were perfect for relaxing while enjoying the sea breeze and view. It’s calmer than Aruba but still lively. 5. Restaurants are a highlight—the food, design, and ambiance are top-notch. The oceanfront breakfast buffet is especially memorable, both for the food and the stunning view. 6. Nightlife has improved since 2023, with better music and dancing. My wife loved it. Be sure to reserve restaurants in advance. 7. The pools are great—our child had a blast. 8. The kids’ club is excellent. Our child enjoyed it both times. 9. The spa is available, though we didn’t use it. That said, upselling spa services doesn’t work unless there’s a clear value. What makes it better or unique? We all get spa services in our countries. Why should we get it here with higher or same price? They also have photography service which i found to be very overpriced. Overall, this resort continues to impress and deliver a great family experience.

We chose this property from a list on Expedia based upon facility description and price. We were not disappointed! The facility is absolutely gorgeous, with pleasing architecture and beautiful rooms. We stayed in The Reserve, which was adults only and right next to the pristine beach. The Reserve provided us a personal concierge, who arranged dinner reservations at many different restaurants within the property, and was available for any needs or questions we had. We developed a personal relationship with him. I celebrated my 76th birthday while there, and our concierge decorated our room with balloons and delivered a bottle of wine and a birthday cake! What a treat! Amazing and fun daily activities included crafts, painting, rum tasting, yoga, and many others, including nightly live entertainment. The food was truly delicious. We especially enjoyed the buffets, which boasted various stations that would prepare an entree right on the spot. We particularly loved the vast variety of local fruits, vegetables, and seafood. Also a large selection of freshly baked breads and pastries. The Dominican cuisine restaurant, Flora, was our favorite. We are already talking about returning next year with our daughter and her family!

We liked that the adult section was exclusive. Our concierge Gustavo was extremely attentive and helpful. The entire staff was very friendly and inviting. There was never a shortage of pulapas and towels. We especially liked that you don't need a card for beach towels. The towels are everywhere. Another great feature is your bracelet is your room key.

We had a great time. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Will definitely return

This Place is Wonderful. Honestly the service was impeccable from check in to check out ! Family friendly resort with endless things to do. We did a clear boat tour and did snorkeling as well as saw dolphins! The beach is wonderful as well. The water park for kids is a plus. All dine in places had amazing dishes and cannot complain about anything. The grounds are kept very clean and you will never see anything dirty!! Family concierge upgrade is a MUST! The swim up suite was delightful and rooms are amazing! I could go on and on about this place. I will be returning

June 7th to June 14th 2025- 7 nights-Family of four with two daughters, graduate school age, so our first priority in picking a resort was spacious accommodations. Paradisus Grand Cana delivered on that priority. We booked a two-bedroom, two bath, family concierge, Master swim-up suite. Nearly 3,000 square feet. Gorgeous resort. In brand-new like condition. Pristine. The landscape is exquisitely manicured. Massive center pool, inner and outer rings swim-up pools, and a waterpark at close proximity. The result is that the place never felt overcrowded. The resort in not on the beach, but it was never a show-stopper for us. A fleet of golf carts transport guests to and from the beach. One needs to carry only themselves, and perhaps some sunscreen. Beach chairs, towels, restaurant, etc...await your arrival at the beach. I walked to the beach. About 13 to 15 minutes. You see, I've got to get my daily steps in. My iWatch insists upon it. There are several restaurants here. Our concierge, Thaina Decire, booked our diners and concierge inclusive excursions. We tried Karnica, Tori, Machu, and Rubi Rocks with mixed family reviews. We achieved a consensus with Origen and ended up sticking with it for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Origen is a spectacular buffet restaurant. There is something delicious to eat at Origen even for those with the most discerning palates. Superior service here. The family concierge is worth the dollar stretch. Thaina is an exceptional concierge.

Paradisus Grand Cana - resort was amazing, new and luxurious. The ground and the property was always kept clean. We stayed for a week and had a blast. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Our swim up room was great - ample space, clean and comfortable. Patio and jacuzzi were excellent. Special shout out to - Yuberkis at buffet during dinner time. She always had a smile on and went above and beyond every time. We couldn’t get a reservation on the night we arrived for my birthday but she went above and beyond to make my night memorable. I can’t thank her enough. Also, two servers at the main pool. I think their names were Francisco and Leonardo. They were amazing, always on top of our orders, and always with big smiles 😊 on their face. Even though it was scorching hot some of the days. Staff there definitely made our stay much better. Only recommendation I can suggest - opening the restaurants earlier including the buffet. With small children and elderly - earlier dinner would have been better for us. Also, it was extremely hard to get reservations for the restaurants so we just stuck with the buffet. Only went to Tori 1 night for dinner. Only available times were 8:30 or 9:30 pm. That’s too late for us. Other than that no other issues. We had a blast. We will definitely be back!

Overall it was a nice place to stay. Child friendly. Most of the staff was great. Food could be better but could have been worse so basic. Walls and doors are not well insulated so you unfortunately could hear all the people in the halls. Usually quiet after 10pm but like anywhere ypu have a few rude people. The beach is a 3min golf cart away or a 10/15 min walk. Beach was nice and clean. Water park was good for our needs except the baby section sprinklers didn't work so that was disappointing but baby still had a blast. The crib we had requested was there upon arrival. This was a great experience for our family of 4 which included a 1yr old. We also had a swim out room which was fantastic and another reason we chose this resort. We would go to another Melia resort.

Loved the adults only pool at night. Plenty of chairs on the beach. Top con would be the food. Buffets were average but we didn’t go hungry. We were only able to get dinner reservations at the restaurants 2/5 nights. Wish there were healthier options and more snack/quick options on the beach & by the pool.

I really enjoyed my stay with Grand palladium Bavaro Suites. Maintenance of property is excellent. They made sure enough staffing in place every 50 meters radius. Also the villa staff at 18 ( Bavaro ) fixed few maintenance issue for us. Beach was 100 meters walk from our place and it was beautiful view. Pools with bar was so excellent that you could have drink on the pool ( amazing experience). Staff were friendly and most of managers knew English. Lobby restaurant for buffet was good. Would like to call out Juan Jalpay , Expedia concierge who have made reservations for the restaurant, modified them when requested and made necessary arrangements for buggy transport from villa to lobby.

Staff is absolutely amazing and accommodating! Great dining options and great variety of pools and beach spots to lay back and relax unlike many other resorts that have 1-2 pools and you feel like everyone is overly crowded in one spot. This is a beautiful resort and I will definitely be back!

Loved the service , it’s been a long time since we visited a resort with such great service , thanks to Daniel , Richard and our concierge Juan for their great customer service. And the guys at the adults pool they made our stay even better!

Property is beautiful. Beach and pool areas were great. Luis at the front Bavarian lobby and transportation were fantastic. 5 stars for Luis.

Very relaxing property! The staff was very attentive and caring. I definitely will be back. Would recommend the the master swim up suite!

The staff were excellent, friendly, fun and attentive. My only complaint is the cleanliness of the pool. The main pool was alway clean an crystal clear. However, the “lagoon” area around ours and all the other swim up suites desperately needed a good vacuuming. They are surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, no doubt difficult to maintain, but they really need a better solution.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel—it was perfect for the quiet vacation and downtime we were looking for. Our room, 5002 (the Master King Swim-Up Suite), had everything we needed: a spacious living area with a kitchenette, and a bedroom with essentially two bathrooms—each with its own vanity in separate areas. I tend to wake up earlier than my husband, so being able to close the bedroom door while I made coffee was a great touch. The room layout was incredibly convenient and thoughtfully designed. The food at the resort was pretty good overall, but the presentation was outstanding—every dish looked beautiful. While the hotel isn't directly on the beach, it's only a quick 2-minute ride down by cart. The beach itself was stunning, and the beach restaurant was a highlight. The food there was decent, and while the service could have been better, we really appreciated how peaceful and quiet it was. We also ventured out to a restaurant called Jellyfish and ended up going twice—it was absolutely worth the extra money for a nicer dinner experience. A quick tip: bring some cash for tipping. You tend to get slightly better service when you tip a few dollars here and there. Overall, this resort was a wonderful spot for a relaxing getaway, and we’d definitely consider coming back.

Master suite with pool access was a dream. Spacious with 2 jacuzzi’s one inside and one outside. Private gazebo by the pool. Restaurants were amazing with healthy food options all day long. Table portions were conscious of amount to avoid wasting food. If still hungry you can ask for more. Different activities offering every day with physical and handcrafting options perfect to relax and mindfulness. At night, also different activities to entertain without being too loud for those who prefer more quiet options. Entertainment personnel with a lot of enthusiasm and cordial communication and engagement with visitors. Pool area spacious and clean.

Newer property in perfect location just steps from the beach and restaurants. Building staff were super friendly and accommodating. It’s next to a resort so it’s a little noisy at times but that wasn’t the case for us since we enjoyed the music from our rooftop pacuzzi. The pool and yard was clean. There’s a gas grill at pool area and on our rooftop condo. Electric bill is added to your stay at the end but they show you your meter readings at beginning and end. Would highly recommend. Safe and friendly area for family

My husband and I stayed in a 1-bedroom apartment on the first level, pool right outside our patio. Quiet clean place mins from the beach, market and plenty of restaurants. Comes equipped with washer & dryer, cookware & dinnerware. I must say we could have used a coffee pot or tea kettle (the pot they had was no good). Nicely furnished, great air (mainly used @ bedtime). Electric is separate cost at end of stay, we were out most of the stay, so we didn't use much. Weather was great, it did rain at night which cause some flooding (not at the property) which brought a ton of mosquitos so bring some OFF. Daniel was quick to respond, although there wasn't much to contact him about. Oh, the shower drains a bit slow but considering all of the floods in the surrounding area I didn't complain. Overall, for the price I'd definitely stay here again, and I'd bring my family to stay in some of the larger units. Thank you, Daniel!

Travelled to Beach Homes Punta Cana with 3 other girls and upon walking into the apartment we were pleasantly surprised how lovely it was! The apartment was nicer in person! The layout was very nice, kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, plenty of space to hang out. It felt like our own little VIP booth. The 3 bedroom apartment with a dip pool was located on the second floor and set back from the road, making it really nice a quiet at night. Fans and AC made the space comfortable at night and during the day we loved having all the sliding doors fully open , opening up the apartment and patio as one big space. One of the doors had a locking issue which was immediately addressed and fixed by the building manager. This was one of the best places I have stayed while traveling to a hot country!

The place was absolutely gorgeous with plenty of room for our 3 adults 4 kids family (the 3 bedroom option). The view from the balcony was spectacular. The beach is just a few minutes walk away and there are plenty of stores right by the apt. Our kids also loved the private balcony pool. Just know that you will have to pay for your electricity usage. Comes out of your deposit. Wasn’t bad though. Also Daniel was highly communicative and very helpful. Would absolutely stay here again.

The staff are helpful and nice- they made my family, especially my baby, feel welcome. Room cleaning was every day- tips go a long way. I liked the variety of foods and drinks, and the fact that there's live music and a 24 hour bar. Mostly ate at the buffets Trapiche and Hispaniola, but also booked Il Tartufo (very good fettuccine) and Tanuki (fun teppanyaki show). Just make sure you book 24 hours in advance for restaurants! I loved the shuttle to the beach- they ran every 10 minutes and saved my baby and elder mother a lot of walking. Beach was well maintained - there wasn't too much seaweed. Plenty of pools to choose from with bars near each. They also gave the kids water toys in the room. My baby got a kick out of the kid pool with the slides! One standout was there were two staff that offered us fresh coconuts! One even bright it to our room! It was a nice gesture to experience.

The property is exceptionally beautiful and well maintained. We stayed 2 nights in kids club and 3 nights at beachfront. Kids club is amazing for families with kids but we wanted to be close to the beach so moved later and where super happy. There is also another pool and kids club near the beach. Rooms were updated and clean, everything was perfect. La carte restaurants require advance booking with online application, the guest service was very helpful to squeeze us in last minute. The food is good but the Christmas feast for a different level, that was a big celebration and you just name it, everything was there beautifully crafted.

The staff were very kind and polite. The facilities, the restaurants simply excelent. They have non stop bar with food! Beach very close and beautiful, with white sand. Everything is very clean. Very nice and very well maintained location. We had a room with direct acces to the pool. Great location for family with children

The drinks were outstanding and we enjoyed the poolside activity, always something going on (dancing, pool aerobics, entertainment. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. The gift shop here (and at the neighboring resort) actually had good prices, better than the off site which we took a shuttle too and was a waste of time. Advice is to stay at the resort for reasonably priced clothes and souvenirs.

Beautiful grounds, pool, beach. The restaurants and buffets were delicious and the staff was incredible. the shows were so much fun and the entertainment staff did such a great job engaging everyone. It was clean, albeit a bit dated in the rooms. Just a perfect and wonderful birthday trip with my mom.

We really enjoyed our stay at this Iberostar. All people working there were friendly and helpful (they all worked hard to make people’s stay great). Some of them spoke good English, some of them a bit less good English ,but we never had any troubles to communicate with anyone (what I was afraid about reading some comments). It always helps if you know a few basic words in Spanish. The food at the hotel was great! We loved and buffet and a la carte restaurants (we went to the greek , steak and italian restaurants). Nice thing was an icecream stand at the pool area. Fresh fruit juices available during all meals(something what we missed in other iberostars in other countries) Kids club was quite nice too. They had a lot of activities and ladies working there were sweet to kids. Room was spacious and pretty comfortable. A whole hotel was clean.

Positives: The property was beautiful, staff were always available if something was needed and were very helpful in coordinating airport pickup and dropoff. The pool was perfect for young kids as there was a shallow pool, as well as a deep area for adults. Bedrooms and living quarters were tastefully furnished, and made us feel at home during our stay. Negatives: We did have a 8 hours period were there was no running water, and alerted the staff, would mentioned it was due to a repair they were making to the pool. We would have appreciated a heads up so we could plan our cooking, laundry and showers accordingly. Additionally, the windows in the bathrooms were the only ventilation when showering, and were unable to be closed and secured. When i made note of this to staff, they said someone would come and look, but it was never addressed for our 7 day stay.

If you’re looking for an honest review, here is one. This place was absolutely WONDERFUL!! Very clean apartments, safe, quiet environment, friendly staff and service. The beach was very beautiful. And well kept. I do wish the shower temperature was a bit warmer (I take hot showers) it was lukewarm at best. The apartment has everything you need for a short or a long stay. Cold AC, great WiFi, nice pool. Has many options for food nearby that are walking distance. Would definitely return. 10/10 would recommend!

Great location Great Restaurants Great accommodations. Everything in walking distance. The best thing is the pool view balcony in the morning for coffee and in the evening for wine.

The resort is located on a quiet street just one block away from the main road and two min from the beach. There are a number of good restaurants, as well as other stores, nearby. Staff speaks English, and everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. The accommodations were great, including a refrigerator, multiple beds, a very clean bathroom, and both body and beach towels, perfect for the area. They also have an area outside for you to rinse your feet, which is very handy. They do have WiFi and its fast. Their breakfast was fantastic and a great value. We would stay here again!

We felt very welcome. It was very easy to meet new people. They invited us to their BBQ. We could even bring our friend over who didnt stay at the hotel. The room had a new and high quality AC. The room was a little small but very very comfortable. The kittens were our personal highlight! It's easy to get to the beaches and shops are round the corner. We would come back here anytime.

Beautiful apartment with really nice view on part of Puntacana and the ocean. The terrace is located good to catch the sun from morning till late in the afternoon (from experience; during March)! Cute little ‘cottage’ near the beach with a view of the ocean. The room clearly shows its age, no updates. Lots of hard water build up on shower and faucets. It was clean though, just warn. I loved all the windows and most of them opened so you could get a nice ocean breeze and avoid the AC (also had fans in rooms). Unfortunately, either there were no screens or the screens were inadequate so that meant mosquitos! Also, be warned there is construction going on next door so a bit loud. I loved that there was a water cooler available so no buying bottle water. The pool area didn’t look very nice and only had a few lounge chairs, so I never stayed there. Water was really cloudy. Breakfast was included at a nearby restaurant and was pretty good (5 choices). The office was really hard to find. Not well marked. Staff was super helpful and spoke perfect English. Charge an electricity fee and required a $20 deposit. Hotels.com website didn’t state that, but many hotels in the area do the same. I’m an energy conscience person I opened the windows, unplug everything. I paid $1 for my stay. Pros: good location, ocean view, near beach with beach chairs, breakfast included, discount at restaurant, drinking water available, lots of space, energy conscience. Cons: dated building, no screens on windows means mosquitos, bedding ok, have to pay for electricity and put down deposit

Love the beachy, island feeling of the penthouse. Right by the gorgeous beach and the L'oster rest at the bottom to die for. The staff (Mrs Gladys) Very friendly and the man who checked us in awsome as well. The only thing i did not like and was very absurd was paying for electricity. We only really used the riom to sleep at night. Only one person used the ac everyone else used fans be cause it was pretty cool and windy at night. They charged us the amount of electricity one would pay for a whole month in a 3 bedroom house in Dominican Republic. That was crazy.

Some lime build up on faucets but this is a high humidity environment.

Little hard to find. Water not hot. Just tepid, but after being in hot sun is all you need. Plenty of good restaurants with live entertainment minutes away. Neighborhood a little noisy. Spectacular beach 5 minutes away. Great value for the money.

The accommodation gives very good value for the money! The service was very good and friendly! The host couple lives in the same building, so you can ask them almost anytime when you have questions. The apartment was clean and cozy. The community was nice! The breakfast was good basic with eggs, toast, some fruit and juice, coffee or tea. The beautiful beach is near but quite touristic with many sellers. You can take a bus to the town and it's cheap. There are some restaurants nearby and in the lunchtime you can get inexpensive local food from couple of them.

El personal Muy Amable en todo, muy atento y me ha hecho sentir como en casa. Un placer haber pasado por allí. Lo recomiendo. Su ubicación cerca de la playa es excelente y el lugar es Seguro. Yo fui sola y nunca sentí miedo, me sentí segura en todo momento. La relación Precio-Calidad es perfecta. Recomendaría un cambio en las duchas que ya están un tanto viejas.

Staff so friendly. The owner, brother and mom are such a nice, caring people. They even explained how to take public buses and where to find anything I needed. The place is so close so the beach, you gotta walk 1 min the most, and the price is worth for what you're getting. Extremely recommended mostly because of the staff, they were beyond nice.

The staff where excellent very polite and professional.. You may need to look at picture on add for location google would not give directions. they where looking into it when I left.. They where excellent I had a later flight they let me use there personal shower so I could clean up before I left. Excellent service

Amazing Experience at this hotel. We went for our anniversary and they made our state outstanding with amazing service and food. The shadow afternoon, grade beach views, very clean. Stuff is friendly and responsive. Would come again and to the best friends!!

Stuff is incredible and the entertainment team was a blast . tons of activities to do during the day and night activity as well. The beautiful ground was so nice to walk around, would definitely return.

An unforgettable stay! We really enjoyed our vacation with Hotel Faranda Single 1! The hotel was very clean and the decoration was excellent. Wonderful location and great service! We got a warm welcome, beautiful rooms, great service, delicious food, the staff was nice and helpful we had really nice conversations and memories with Jade, Caro and Rodrigo. Nice dynamics, atmosphere, friendliness, humor, really nice to experience this with them. The hotel rooms are nicely decorated with a storage room , washer + dryer + iron, kitchen with fridge + oven + stove, a nice living room with a TV offering Google Chrome cast & a bedroom overlooking the pool. The bed was super nice to sleep on, felt like sleeping in the clouds and a nice closet with a big mirror. They have a gym, workplace and plenty of space to park. During breakfast you get a menu card, from which you can choose. We quickly noticed that everything on the menu is made with love. The 'tamarin' juice is definitely recommended. 😋😋 Alberto and Hillary made our mornings very nice. There is a big and clean pool & the hotel also provides transportation to their beach club, super nice beach with nice drinks and food. They are available 24/7 and ready to help if there’s anything. It is secured there by security guards and cameras so very safe. In 1 word EXCELLENT! I recommend this hotel to everyone!

Loved the hotel it was in a new condition, very clean, everyone was nice, the room was really spacious, the pool area was really nice the only thing it’s by a Main Street so you’ll hear a lot of honking while out at the pool. Also the area around the hotel is under construction but I would definitely stay again I felt very safe.

Upon arrival the property nice however it is heavily under construction. At the front desk we love Rafael. He’s very welcoming and friendly as well as Stacy who helped my boyfriend decorate the room with roses and a sweet note. The pool area is nice but the pool needed cleaning. On the second floor there is a small restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner for a Fee. Again the property is under construction so the menu is very small. Eddie was at the bar and we loved him, very friendly and welcoming with information about Dominican Republic. The room is the best part of the hotel. The room is gorgeous and spacious. The room is very clean and comfortable. The house cleaning is everyday which we loved! The room looks just how the pictures look. The property is walking distant from local restaurants and supermarkets. I loved how close everything is to the property especially the airport. The property felt safe. There is security in the night and 24/7 front desk. Can’t wait to see how the property will be after construction!!

The stay was excellent. The room was really nice and clean. There is a washer and dryer which is very convenient. We slept very well in the comfortable bed, but had an issue with the traffic noise and loud music at night. The view was very nice, overlooking the pool with the view of downtown. The breakfast was excellent each morning. We cooked our dinner. The pots and pans were to a minimum so we made due with the cooking utensils they had, good thing we went to the store as well. There was a lot of construction that was visible due to new future construction. All of the employees from the front desk to house keeping restaurant staff and security were very professional and pleasant. There is a natural walking path that you would need assistance to step down or climb up if you are not athletic or in shape to do so. The path leads to an intersection that you have to cross to get to downtown which includes the mall, grocery store, restaurants gas station, entertainment and so on. In my opinion it is walking distance from the hotel. It would be nice to consider making a sidewalk for guest safety so to not be injured by the natural walk path. They do provide transportation in which you have to pay for, just ask the front desk and they will help you with all of your transportation needs. Thank you to all Faranda Single 1 employees!

We were glad to have upgraded to Premium we saw the benefits of it daily, especially the beach and pool access you have. The resort was beautiful, suite was lovely and spacious. Comfy bed and garden view was very nice. We loved our beach time, ⛱️ and afternoons at the pools. The shows we chose to watch were great especially the Queen Tribute band that was fabulous 👌 Our butler Yordy was terrific, he was informative and charming. He made all our reservations and found us on this busy resort to check in on how our stay was going. The weather was perfect for May and we had a blast at the pool foam party !! Many of the staff were kind and tried connecting with us even with a language barrier.

Wonderful hotel, food options were varied and well cooked every night, especially in the main buffet restaurant. Pool facilities outstanding. We really enjoyed the Premium lounge for breakfast and lunch, and the premium pool/beach area was worth it for the more peaceful atmosphere and proximity to the premium bars.

Pros: Fantastic daytime and evening entertainment. The Foam Pool Party and the White Beach Party were so much fun! Will Smith’s Aqua aerobics were highly entertaining. Jose our Butler was always on hand with any issues we had. Our room was amazing. Overlooking the beach and pool! A la carte restaurants were good, particularly the Tapas and the Grill ones. Cons: The lack of bar staff inside and outside was very poor. Long waits to get a drink.

This resort was excellent! We felt like we were in paradise. They keep the grounds pristine. Our rooms were serviced daily (just have to put the sign on the door handle or sign on the bed for new sheets) and were spacious and bright. No need to upgrade to Platinum. We found chairs easily at the beach and pool. Our favorite area was near the swim-up bar pool because that is where the beach and pool activities take place. The activities (Animae) group were great. They were high energy and had different fun activities every day. The shows at night were also outstanding. The buffet restaurant offered many different options and the service was great. We loved Tao and the Dominican restaurants. The Mexican restaurant had good food but the service was slow (2 hours) as I feel they seat too many people. We loved the sports bar and roof-top bar. Excellent service at both. There were mostly families and couples and that was perfect because we went during Spring Break and were not looking to be surrounded by college-age kids.

It was fantastic!!! We didn’t pay for a “view”, but I didn’t expect to see a dystopian wasteland outside our window! I think they had cleared the land for another resort or an addition to ours. It was hideous and depressing, so we kept our curtains closed. We weren’t in our room much, so it didn’t end up mattering, for the most part. The food was epic! The shows, the lobby, the ice cream shop, cafe… just wonderful! The pools, swim-up bar, resident flamingoes! The grounds were magical. Most of all, though, was the beach. You can’t really do much to enhance it - it’s pure, heart breaking natural magnificence. The sand was soft, the waves were soft, the breeze was soft. There’s a reason this place is well-loved.

Love how upbeat, fun, energetic, helpful and just sincerely kind the staff was. Our housekeeper, Helen, was so sweet and super helpful. Willington, at the swim up bar was dang good at his job, especially handling rowdy guests. And, the wait staff at the marketplace in general just made me happy to see them and their smiles. Hospitality was above all the most AMAZING value there. But as per norm, the only bad thing that we experienced there had nothing to do with the hotel but the excursions. We were “sold” by hotel staff on trying some of the excursions. They were horrible. Parasailing was awful because of how mean the organizers were towards us with lots of unwanted touching and the “deep sea fishing” was an absolute joke, they would not even let us touch the fishing poles, much less cast it. It was a let down

We stayed at The Caribe Deluxe Princess for 10 days in June this year. We were looking for a much needed break from busy life and wanted to relax as much as possible, and his resort didn't disappoint. We loved the feel of the resort, the animals moving around freely and happily, and the happy and relaxed atmosphere. The raucous pool bar wasn't for us, and we were able to find peace and quiet on the beach and by the other pools. The place was spotlessly clean and our rooms were serviced every day, and the mini fridge filled generously. I am vegetarian, and the selection in the buffet and restaurants was quite limited, however, there was always a huge selection of fresh, tasty salad, pizza and pasta, and the desserts and fruit was wonderful. My partner enjoyed the meat choices available which changed daily. The service we received in the area of the restaurant we liked to sit in was excellent, with Aris, Yesenia and Anderson refilling our glasses frequently throughout our meal. Overall, our holiday as wonderful, and we returned refreshed and feeling that we had had a real break from busy life. Would definitely recommend.

I will say The staff was awesome, only one minor issue with a guy called Digital at the lobby bar, his bad manners are not going to make me trash the hard work of others. Evryone from Omar at the trolleys to the wait staff Alexandrina,Santos, Dominga are awesome Wellington and Wally at the pool bar, Javier with the loungers and the gentelmen in the green suit that provides the coconut, The towel guy is super cool and Silvia the massues at the SPA AWESOME..THE POOL GREAT THE BEACH AWESOME..THE ENTERTAIMENT GREAT INTERACTIVE AND VARIED THE CARNAVAL WAS GREAT AS WELL AS THE BEACH PARTY. OHHH THE SPORTS BAR!!! WAS A GREAT PLACE TO WATVH THE GAMES and Joel provided excellent service.

Beautiful location and facilities, service typically on point, food was hit or miss but mostly hit, pool was clean and fun environment, several nice pools and restaurants

It was nice. I had to change rooms the first room reeked of mildew (maybe b/c it was on the ground flr). The other room was much better. The room was clean, the property grounds were beautiful. I found the food at the main buffet to more enjoyable than some of the restaurants for dinner. I enjoyed the smoked salmon for breakfast @ the buffet but not a lot of options for non-pork eaters. The staff was very friendly. I enjoyed the platinum section (separate pool, dining, beach) it was nice & relaxed not overcrowded. I am a solo traveler and enjoy places that have chill, exclusive spaces as an option. This is a family friendly resort so I am glad it didn't feel like a daycare resort. I had a really good time for my first time in D.R.

The property was very clean overall. The room exceeded my expectations, I stayed in the Bungalow suite and it looks just like in the pictures. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, I never had an issue with any of them, they were all very attentive. A very beautiful and spacious room. Exceptionally friendly staff, especially at the reception. The man who checked us in was very helpful — we are truly grateful to him. A large and well-maintained hotel territory — it’s clear that the grounds are taken care of. Animals on the property create a pleasant and charming atmosphere. Excellent beach: wide, with a comfortable entrance to the water and clean, soft sand. Even after storms, it was promptly cleaned. Since the pool was closed, we spent most of our time at the beach — and it really left a positive impression.

A lovely resort on the quieter side with excellent staff, friendly and attentive. We felt welcome and safe, enjoyed the beautiful beach and pool with swim up bar. The restaurants were good, the lunch and breakfast buffets were just alright. They offered activities such as giant chess, water aerobics, ping pong, pickle ball, tennis, kayaking, etc. We booked an excusrion onsite which was also great! If you are looking for an all inclusive but not looking to rage/party hard and late, this is the perfect spot. I would return!

An excellent hotel , location stunning , pool amazing and warm with a slope into the water. Rooms are large with jacuzzi bath and huge bed. Plenty of space on the balcony. Great food choices. Steak house was the favourite followed by fondue house. Snack bar available all day by the pool and beach front. No need to upgrade to VIP don't feel we missed out on service at all. Beach did have seaweed but did not spoil the stay and the hotel try and clear but it comes in everyday this time of year. Onsite shop sells most you need , beach shop is a con be careful! Hotel can run you to souvenir shops for free or you can pay 40 dollars to jumbo (like a Walmart/asda with a small shopping mall. Spa onsite is excellent the treatments were amazing 100% recommend! Saona island is a fab trip but do a private transfer. Book through the sea pro staff round the pool. Loved our stay , does need an upgrade in some areas but a great adults hotel

Staff were super friendly and helpful throughout the resort. The property grounds are beautiful and maintained very well, including the pool and beach area. The rooms were maybe a little dated and quirky—I had no real complaints, and others I was traveling with had minor issues with their room that were quickly resolved by the staff. The food varied—none of it was bad, most was very good, and a few things were truly excellent. We had to experiment a little to find our favorite options. Food quality was a little inconsistent—for example, at the steakhouse (which overall was a great meal), my family and I all ordered the same cut of meat. Mine was outstanding, but theirs was not as nice of a cut. The main things to do on the property are go to the pool and beach, though they had some other activities, parties at night, etc. We went for three nights which was about right. Overall, I would definitely recommend the place, as long as you are a little flexible about trying something different if one thing isn’t just perfect. (For example, if the restaurant you wanted is full, be prepared to try a different one or go back later. If you try the fish at the buffet and it’s not to your liking, just go back to the buffet and try the chicken, or vice versa.) We stayed at the resort the whole time; doing something off-site requires some prior planning to arrange transportation, etc., as the resort is basically self-contained.

So relaxing, quiet, and easy to chill here. Gorgeous beach. Organized, professional staff. Superb cleaning everywhere. Slept incredibly well too! This is a solid value if you are there to enjoy each day on the beach or at the pool (beautiful pool). No night life but cute restaurants and privileges at sister resort next that has a night club. Spa is beautiful too! Will go back here in a heartbeat!

The property is huge but luckily there was a train that took you all around the resort. The room was clean where we stayed . We were near the gulf coarse and it was a beautiful view of the lake and watching nature. There are many things to do such as bowling, watching sports at the sports bar, live entertainment near the beach, pool, and on stage. In addition to a casino, and club.You would never get bored.The spa was also amazing and affordable.

Best Caribbean resort I’ve ever visit and I’ve traveled the world. We stayed at a junior suite. It was large, clean and had a big balcony. There are 4 pools, the beach is beautiful. The entire resort is impeccable and the hundreds of palm trees makes it look like paradise. I’m very picky about the hotel I select and this is definitely a must go. I will return.

Service was excellent. We're in gratitude with the staff of Bar Carey, specially: Yorby, Luis, Rocio, Perla, Daisy. We enjoyed from breakfast buffet, pool, lunch buffet and dinners to Casino & Disco. Very entertaining and totally recommended to everyone.

First of all I will begin by saying that we staid in the Premium suite and wow it was huge! We were in the building closest to the main buffet, pools and the beach which was an excellent choice as this resort is massive and a more distant location on the property would be way less convenient. The food in the buffet was fresh and the variety was amazing! The hotel restaurants don’t disappoint either! Lunch and breakfast at the Coral and dinner at La Comedieu was superb. The place is very clean and well maintained. Overall we hit the jackpot with Barceló Bavaro!

- The beach was beautiful and the pools were nice too. - The room and the rest of the establishment were clean, organised, and nicely decorated - The food and drinks were good and there were a lot of choices. The Mexican restaurant was our favourite - The majority of the staff were polite and friendly - We enjoyed the dance classes (although quite short) and the beach activities like kayak and catamaran - We had a late-afternoon flight, so we appreciated being able to stay in the premises after checking-out.

My family of 4 stayed here for a week this June. Here are my pros and cons: Pros- The resort was huge and there was so much space for everyone to spread out and find areas to enjoy. Many pools with fountains and swim up bars and in pool lounge chairs and such. I loved that the pools were mostly 4 feet so even my 8 year old could stand and it made her so happy. There were 3 kid water parks. My kids (8 and 10) loved them all. We thought we had to pay for the pirate one, but you get one free day pass, which was awesome! The beach was full of seaweed, but crews came to clean it up and the water was shallow and clear and so warm! There are lots of activities aside from the beach and pool, we did a banana boat-esque ride for $60 and mini golf, an escape room, bowling, and the arcade. You have to pay for most of these, be aware. My kids also went to the kids club a few times and loved it! We were never bored! Cons- The food is just okay. Everything is not always labeled and can be confusing. I don't eat seafood and I ended up accidentally eating two seafood things because of poor labeling. The sit down restaurants that felt a little more high quality in terms of food were the Japanese one Kyoto and the paid one, La Comedie. Otherwise it was the same food just being served to you. They also rely heavily on paper and hard copy things. There isn't an app or anything so you have to bring paper copies of your dinner reservations and spa credits if you want them applied.

This hotel has everything: pools for everyone, excellent food, and even a pharmacy. The staff is wonderful. Everything is clean and in good condition. Love the buffet in front of the children's pool and adults' pool at the same time. Very convenient.

The pools are beautiful. A lot of onsite activities, pool or beach volley ball, kayaking, hobie boats, balls are ok in the pool. The rooms are modern and clean. There are plenty of dining options, something for even picky eaters.

It was a great stay. Lots of things to do within the resort. Dining menus were great, definitely make your reservations as soon as soon as you check in. The best place was Kyoto. We would show up to our reservation times 15-20 min early and had no issues getting a table. Room was spacious, and they stocked up then mini bar daily. Pool options were great, we stayed in the adult pool as it was more relaxing and the bar staff were great. Check in took a while, be patient. Overall would definitely recommend.

There are lots and lots of staff all working to make the place amazing. There are plenty of food options...something for everyone. About 7 restaurants ( we stayed in the Level) . You contact your concierge to make dinner reservations. Thank you Eddy Somba for taking care of all our needs. If you need medical attention...we saw a care center on the premises. We just needed some stomach medicine which is available in the gift shops but Eddy went out of the resort and got us something in a pharmacy. The bars and restaurants are all beautiful. I recommend staying near the beach and then taking the golf cart shuttle service to the front at night for the nightly entertainment...dj and dancing. Even if you don't like dancing, you can sit in the beautiful outdoor lounge seats and drink. Housekeeping comes twice daily! They clean the room during the day while you are at the pool/beach then they tidy up again during evening while you are dining. They would turn our sheets down and leave chocolate . They also refill your mini fridge and snacks. We would definitely return.

The hotel was great. I loved the set up and design. The room was very comfortable and we had an amazing pool & sea view. The variety of food was great and I loved the specialty restaurants. We were taken across the street to a restaurant that was right on the beach. It was a great start to our vacation. The next morning we had a delicious breakfast. Check out was easy. We would definitely stay again.

The beach bar is amazingly beautiful. Directly on the beach and sea! It's just 1 second away from the hotel, just across a really small streetwhere don't drive cars really, because it's a dead end ! You can enjoy the breakfast there, get drinks in the night or just chill in the sun and listen to the music. The people who work there are really nice too and try to help you with all. Especially the young boy from the bar, he can speak English, Spanish and also German and helped me with all! Thanks!

Lovely Botique hotel right on the beach, cleans rooms, 5 star selection of breakfast and juices, powerful showers, water to hot for the caribbean, air-con system new and working very well….pizzas just like the real Italian, friendly multi cultural staff, just talking with them makes u feel a part of their close family bond, known Angela for years, Olgas just a star, sweetheart, Alberto the manager has set up a great team over the years. I could not name them all. The views from room 31 makes u want to stay in all day.

the location is the best, beach is so near, the breakfast it was amazing. You don’t have so many options but everything is really delicious. You can have on the beach or in your room, or in lobby. Everything depends on you, but you can be sure that you will enjoy. You have good bar on the beach, they have all cocktails and also the food is amazing, believe me you will loved. This is an amazing property with excellent facilities and food. Onsite entertainment is okay but not great. The swim up bars and bars throughout the facility provide excellent drinks!!! The property is not close to anything interesting in the area.

This is a very nice resort. The grounds are beautifully kept and the room was really nice and comfortable. I loved the private beach area. That is where I spent all my time. If you are a pool person, it has two huge pools with swim up bars. If you are an activities person, they had plenty of them. The buffet restaurants had a wide variety. The food at the buffets were average. The food at the other specialty restaurants was quite good. I would go back to this hotel.

We have had a great experience at this hotel, the rooms are nice size with updated bathrooms, and a nice size balcony outside. The food has been very good in both buffets, however to get the full experience I highly recommend the nice restaurants as they are included and have great food. The pools are both great size and never feel too crowded and we have not struggled to find seating around the pool which can sometimes be a struggle. The swim up bars at both bars are great, Ramon and Wander were two of the best bartenders I’ve ever had and would recommend anyone to speak to them if given the chance. My one complaint with this resort is throughout the day they have staff trying to sell you excursions, spa treatments, or just pop up markets and can be somewhat annoying when trying to get to dinner or just relax at the pool. Other than that this resort has been great and I would recommend it to anyone.

Staying at this resort was one of the best trips I’ve had. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They made sure the guest were enjoying themselves. The room was huge and spotless! My favorite part was the bathroom it was huge and it had two sinks and a waterfall shower head. The power never went out and the water was always hot. I learned how to salsa thanks to “chicken legs” on the blue team! I loved how the party pool was separate from the family pool but they both had a swim up bar. Lastly, I’d like to give a shout out to Briady, the privilege customer service manager for the excellent service he provided. I had one mishap and he corrected it immediately and made sure everything was smooth sailing from then on. I can see why they made him a manager. His customer service skills are top notch! This resort was a 10/10. I was there for a week and I didn’t want to leave! I will be staying again!

The hotel is very inviting and homey, with lounging nooks on every floor. Staff very friendly although they didn't speak English, except for the front desk staff member. Breakfast room is lovely and spacious, with lots of very light blue tinted glass and natural light and the food is beautifully laid out, although he coffee machine was challenging and dispensed very small amounts of coffee. The breakfast room has views of the front garden and pool and bar where dinner and hors d'oeuvres can be ordered. The pool is nicely furnished, and also has 3 canopied couples double loungers. Our suite was comfortable, and the living room is spacious. It has a kitchen with a sink, stove, micro wave oven and fridge. no dishes or cutlery but we got some brought up.....Listen up, when we arrived and were sitting waiting to be taken to our suite we were given 2 glasses of mimosas on the house. Our last day at breakfast we were treated to mamosas again...how's that for a classy touch. We will be going again next year with some friends.

Wonderfully staff, Doña Rosa took care of us the entire stay, awesome pool, clean facility, secure, good vibes by the pool with music, bar, food! Breakfast was some so much to pick from! The price is good. Great for the price you pay. Service was good . There is a restaurant on site, food is pretty good for a 3 star hotel. Breakfast is limited but still good, pool good and clean, gym is small but next door has a big gym for like $10 a day usd. 2 food places , mini store and emergency/ clinic on the same block. Hotel staff is good for customer service , rooms are clean for the star rating, air turns off with key, one key only given. They have a transport that brings you to their sister hotel every day for $$ to get the all inclusive experience between before I think 5pm or something . Didn’t use the hotel For that. It was a short stay because was at the capcana area for a few days. This is 20 mins away from airport and 12 mins from downtown punta cana . I always stay here for at least 2 nights when in punta cana for the easy ride to and from the airport instead the long process moving in and out of the major resorts . Will be back

The highlight of our stay was our waiter Kiuston and his crew, him and his team really made us feel like family. We looked forward to spending time by the pool because of them. The resort was not full of people so we could find a chair at the pool and at the beach very easy. The temperature of the pool was amazing. The garden and nature all over the resort is spectacular. Internet was really good.

The resort's location is simply outstanding. Our room was situated near the main swimming pool, offering a stunning view of the beach on the horizon. Although the main restaurants were a bit far from our room, the hotel provided convenient rides back and forth, or we could enjoy a pleasant walk filled with charming details, both during the day and at night. I truly felt immersed in the Caribbean atmosphere. The rooms were spacious and adequately equipped, though some aspects could use improvement. Visiting during the off-season, we appreciated the calm ambiance, with the occasional lively activity around the pool kept to an acceptable level. Noise levels overall were very low. The beach was exceptional—clean, with plenty of space to relax. Do yourself a favor and wake up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise. Both buffets, especially the one near the lobby, were the highlights for dining, offering a variety of delicious options. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate all requests, even though they appeared to be understaffed. The gym was well-located and equipped with everything you might need, although towels were unavailable for a couple of days due to a laundry issue. A special thanks to the lobby staff who went the extra mile to help us check in despite a significant issue with our credit card. Hats off to their dedication and professionalism!

The pool is huge and you never feel crowded. Really cool to have the poolside bar. Small private beach but good to have it! They have some excess of seaweed but make the effort to clean it throughout the week. They have a ton of beach chairs with grass umbrellas to block sun when you need to! There is a great security team at Stanza Mare- you have good reason to feel very safe here. The staff were excellent!

Spacious, tons of storage to keep our stuff organized and in order. Great location! Lots of souvenir shops, restaurants, a pharmacy & several markets within walking distance. Very clean & well kept. We felt very safe! There are security guards at each entrance point. If you do not have a bracelet, you are not getting passed them! The staff was extremely friendly & helpful with all of our needs. Poolside Snack Shack has an excellent breakfast! The people that live there year-round are so nice & friendly. There is a social gathering on Wednesday evenings & Bingo on Monday nights!

We loved that they do traditional Dominican options for food. I think many resorts have this impression that we want the foods we have back home which is not the case at all! My stay was excellent. Food was great. The pool was awesome. The service is a 100%. The guys from the pool bar are really customer service oriented and always happy. The restaurant Tauro was my favorite. Martha is really attentive. She was really sweet and always providing an excellent service. Will definitely come back.

Everything was excellent, but there were a few minor issues: the pool closed too early at 7 p.m., and after that, no food or drinks were available at the beach or pool areas. You had to go to the main lobby for food and drinks. Everything else was good.

This is an absolutely stunning property especially the grounds. The rooms were not new or especially updated but they are spacious and clean. We had five to our room - a Level suite - it was huge, private and we loved it! Food was delicious and fresh, we ate at almost all the options and loved each one! It is a massive property and there is lots of walking so be mindful if that’s challenging for you, however there were also lots of options for rides if you wanted/needed. My only critique here is common at almost every all in resort and that’s the beach and pool chair situation. I wish someone could sort this one out but I mostly blame the guests for this, hoarding seats and not allowing for a natural flow of use is a big part of the problem. I feel like guests should be assigned spots or something at time of booking - this made for a few stressful mornings until we caved and decided to pay extra for the Bali beds. Annoying to have an extra expense ($45US/day) on top of an already pricey stay, but also just so much nicer to not worry about finding chairs and shade each day. I wish this was an option to add on at time of booking. All in all we had an outstanding stay and I would return in a heartbeat!

Everything and everyone were very nice. I will recommend it. The rooms are spacious. I loved the greenery and natural parks. Pools and restaurants were very good clean, and the workers are all so polite. Starting with the front desk clerk Junior his service was over the top. Johvanny @ Las Torres restaurant was very attentive. The entire staff were helpful and friendly. I will visit again once a find a good deal on the price.

The pools, restaurants and bars and all amenities were all excellent.

It was very clean, everyone at the resort was extremely friendly and made you feel safe and at home. I would recommend this place for anyone and all ages.

My husband and I recently went to this hotel to celebrate his birthday. It was nice and private. We originally booked a standard room but upgraded to ocean view and it was very worth it! Loved that it had direct beach access but ended up using the pools more. The infinity pool is beautiful, but the other pool is much more private because almost no one uses it so we took advantage of that and made good use of it. I’m removing one star because I think some of the employees need to be taught to mind their own business, there was lots of starring by some of them and some comments about us that made us feel uncomfortable. Besides that we had a lovely stay, although we ended up leaving early because my husband wanted to look at properties so he moved to an airbnb closer to them and I moved to an all inclusive to be with some friends for the remainder of the trip.

We only stayed one evening. But our stay was great! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Check in and out was great. The rooftop pool was nice, we just relaxed and took in the view of blue waters and beach. This place didn't seem as walkable to everywhere, you're tucked into a deadend road. But there were a few shops near by and restaurants if you wanted to leave the property. The area is safe. And with its location being tucked away a bit, it wasn't nearly as noisy as other places we stayed while visiting the D.R. We stayed during the week because it was closer to the airport for us. It gave the come with a book, grab a drink and relax vibes with plenty of lounge chairs both pool side and on the beach.

Our first stay at the new HM Bavaro Beach hotel. The check in process was a bit ennoying as I already checked in online. The room 1101 with pool view is of very nice design but poorly finished craftmenship. Vertical light switch in bathroom falsely horizontal installed visible to break soon. Sharp edges at beds that easily can cause injuries. Both AC and TV remote control had dead batteries but got replaced immediately. No private parking, parking space on the street is limited. The location on the beach, the roof bar with pool, the excellent breakfast, the friendliness of the staff immediately made up for the not so good first impression.

Our stay was truly enjoyable, thanks to the attentive staff and delicious breakfast that exceeded expectations each morning. We loved the intimate infinity pool and the serene adults-only pool areas, perfect for unwinding. The room itself was bright, comfortable, and featured a spacious balcony that we enjoyed. However, while the bathroom could use a bit of an update, it was generally clean. We did notice some hidden dust under the bed and furniture, which could be improved. The beach setup was a bit of a letdown, as it’s shared with a family hotel, so it didn’t feel completely adults-only, as we’d hoped. Despite these minor drawbacks, we had a wonderful time overall and would happily return for another stay!

Had a great time here. Hotel is on a really nice beach. Beach view from the room was lovely. Food was good but not exceptional. Roof top pool was really nice and great view of the beach. Rooms were a little older but nice. Had to ask for room towels which I would have thought the cleaning ladies would have left everyday. Staff was nice. Daytime bartender by the pool was exceptional. I think the price of the room was a little high but I would stay here again.

This hotel is very nice. The rooms were awesome and the location was great. It is right in front of the NOW resort. There is not a pool at the hotel but you have access to the NOW resort's pool which is a 2 minute walk. There is a restaurant in the hotel with a full bar and a great complimentary breakfast. The restaurant serves all 3 meals throughout the day. The service is awesome and the price is great. We used it for a nights stay before we went to our resort and a night after our week stay in the resort...saved about $500 on plane tickets by adjusting our flying days.

Was not all incluesive no pool. Only can vist other sister brother pool ans beach certian hours. Water was not hot n shower food had no taste. But thats my personl opionin...staff was helpfully. No guest can enter now thats was the biggest blow. Unhread of

About me: I expect hotel customer service to be proportional to the cost of the room. When a cheaper hotel provides superior service, the more-expensive hotel is deficient. I make a solitary request at every hotel...for a quiet room. My room was not quiet. One of the staff was in the utility room next to my guest room banging on the wall and sheet metal and dropping tools for two days I stayed there past 10pm. You would think there to be communication between staff enough to know better. I called the front desk but it did not stop. The hotel/room/furnishings were very nice with a artsy/modern theme. The micro-frig in the room is 1 cubic foot (really small). The included breakfast buffet was superb. I did not eat there for dinner. They do not have a pool but guests can use the Now Lorimar Hotel's pool next-door (nice). For this hotel, I would rent a car at the airport. After paying $35 USD for a taxi from the airport and the long walking distances to local attractions, I spent another $35 USD to go back to the airport and rented a car. It turned-out to be a great decision. There are grocery stores and restaurants in both directions some distance from the hotel.

We decided to stay here for our honeymoon instead of a resort. Check it was great. Jose was very welcoming and spoke excellent english. We had to pay a 10% report fee (which is not much) and we had access to the Now Larimar Resort next door (beautiful resort). We could use the beach and pools until 6pm (we stayed longer with no problem). If you wanted the full all-inclusive stuff at Now Larimar, you had to pay about $83 per day. We did not use this option because there are a ton of restaurants on the beach (access through the resort) and there are tons of restaurants downtown which is a 10 minute walk. We felt safe walking at night too. Alexander was the greatest help throughout this trip. He recommended places to get food and things to do. He offered to book everything for us too! Alexander was a big reason why our honeymoon was a success. The room was clean and Carlos, the housekeeper, was so nice and made us cute towel animals! He always asked how we were doing and he always had a smile on his face! The included breakfast was amazing too. Lots of good food! You cannot go wrong with booking at NH. You get access to the resort next door, the staff bend over backwards for you, and you definitely get the best bang for you buck here! STAY HERE!!!

Hotel was clean, smelled good. My room was very comfortable, the first day of check in all the drinks(Water & soft drinks) in the mini bar are included. The breakfast buffet which was included was well stocked and there is food for any liking or diet and most of all not crowded. A few times I was one of only two people eating and its open until 11 am. Included is free access to the pool and beach at the lorimar NOW all inclusive resort and if you want to pay for all inclusive drinks and food that is available for purchase at the NH hotel. I had no issue with not having hot water. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. 10 minute walk to the left is a large mall with shopping and food, 5 minutes to the right is an Asian Bistro and convenience store. Another five minutes from there is a a cluster of restaurants and a few bars. If you are so inclined you can have "Visitors" to your room with no hassle from the front desk in case you get lucky at one of the local bars. When I stay in Punta Cana i will stay at the NH

The property was a great price for what you get. The room had a fridge/microwave/coffee machine setup. The room was clean and cutely decorated. Had a nice chair I could relax in and view the pool and grounds of the apartments next door. No problems using the address to locate the place. It’s only a 5 minute walk to several restaurants (Citrus, Bella Napoli) /bars (Kat’s Corner has a band on weekends) and grocery store (Supermercado Ciccolella) and a few minutes further to the beach. It’s a 10 minute walk to Villa Blanca Beach Club which is free to sit at the lounge/umbrella setups- just buy a drink or snack. Next to that is Flamingo Bar and the tourist shopping market. The staff were very helpful and made the stay even more pleasant.

Excellent staff and customer service. Breakfast is very filling with eggs, milkshake, crackers, coffee, cake, and fruit bowl. Having a terrace was nice. Safe neighborhood. Staff is super helpful with everything. Hot water in the shower and shower pressure was perfect. Overall great value for money, we loved it.

The hotel is very close to the restaurants, and beaches. Beaches are 7 minutes walk away from the hotel. The reception guy is very nice , and very friendly.

The Expedia check in was nice! Rating a 4 because the checkout was a nightmare. As an Expedia VIP guest we got coupons which we used for lobster dinner and massages and this wasn’t related to the check out desk. It took 1.5 hours for them to validate the coupons and we almost missed our flights. In addition; we had to pay $45 dollars more for our airport tranaport to wait around while the staff figured it out. Very frustrating ending to a great stay. Never will stay again because of this.

This is our second time at this resort group! We LOVE having such a large property available to us (our hotel plus the Palace location next to us, all pools, restaurants, etc). Our hotel concierge, Edwin, had restaurants booked for us before we arrived! And continued being helpful, and welcoming our entire stay. Good variety at the buffet, each pool had its own perk (depth, shade, activities, quiet). The spa was fantastic. We did a couples massage and used the Hydrotherapy area 3 days. A perfect little hide away from the other busy pools. The cold plunge and clay body masks felt amazing! AND the Chic Cabaret on resort was also very well done! We will be back again.

Very nice well kept property … food and dining options are excellent, kids loved the amenities in the splash pad kids club area, staff was very friendly… only knock is the amount of sales people around the pool areas … we see them all over the beaches they are in the pools areas too..

I traveled with my teenage daughter and we had a very nice time! Our Expedia concierge Juan was fabuloso! He assisted with dining reservations, birthday arrangements, excurions and transportation and everything else! Our dining hostesses are like family now! The food was delicious at every dining location that we tried, except La Uva. Te schedule for rhe restaurants did differ from what was posted in the app and the early afternoon food options were limited or cloaes. Plan ahead! The staff were ALL amazing and thegrounds were well-maintained aand beautiful. The variety of pools was great. The beach had a ton of kelp and seaweed, but was still enjoyable. Watersporrs were either free or affordable. Ask for Machete. The POP staff and shows were all enjoyable. The activities kept things interesting. My inpy complaint was too many vendors tying to sell massages, excursions, jewlery, souvenirs, photos, etc...it became a bother not being able to walk from one place to another without being harassed multiple times. Beware of the team offering a free gift an special breakfast.. it's a vacation ownership tour. Carry cash to avoid credit card concession fees. Overall, we would go back and hope to return very soon! Loved our experience!

I have been to seven different Bavaro beach resorts. I do feel that this was the best resort I have been to. It is on the best section of Bravado Beach. Their beachfront is one of the largest. In front of my small area alone they had 120 Beach loungers. Multiple pools and restaurants were fantastic! They had the best food of all the resorts I've been to. Extremely friendly staff. Activities both day and night. Highly recommend!

I loved the Garden view we had. Love how quiet the resort was, everything shut down around 6 or so because that's when the beaches/pools closed down and dinner started. I really enjoyed the kindness from the staff. They were very sweet! Room service always kept our rooms tidy and kept the fridge stocked with beer and soda. No Mosquitoes!!! I loved that! AC in the room had a sensor so when you opened the balcony, it would turn itself off and when you closed it, it turned back on.

The beach is amazing, enough sun beds for everyone. The pools are big and water was warm enough.

This Place is Wonderful. Honestly the service was impeccable from check in to check out ! Family friendly resort with endless things to do. We did a clear boat tour and did snorkeling as well as saw dolphins! The beach is wonderful as well. The water park for kids is a plus. All dine in places had amazing dishes and cannot complain about anything. The grounds are kept very clean and you will never see anything dirty!! Family concierge upgrade is a MUST! June 7th to June 14th 2025- 7 nights-Family of four with two daughters, graduate school age, so our first priority in picking a resort was spacious accommodations. Paradisus Grand Cana delivered on that priority. We booked a two-bedroom, two bath, family concierge, Master swim-up suite. Nearly 3,000 square feet. Gorgeous resort. In brand-new like condition. Pristine. The landscape is exquisitely manicured. Massive center pool, inner and outer rings swim-up pools, and a waterpark at close proximity. The result is that the place never felt overcrowded. The resort in not on the beach, but it was never a show-stopper for us. A fleet of golf carts transport guests to and from the beach. One needs to carry only themselves, and perhaps some sunscreen. Beach chairs, towels, restaurant, etc...await your arrival at the beach. I walked to the beach. About 13 to 15 minutes. You see, I've got to get my daily steps in. My iWatch insists upon it. There are several restaurants here. Our concierge, Thaina Decire, booked our diners and concierge inclusive excursions. We tried Karnica, Tori, Machu, and Rubi Rocks with mixed family reviews. We achieved a consensus with Origen and ended up sticking with it for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Origen is a spectacular buffet restaurant. There is something delicious to eat at Origen even for those with the most discerning palates. Superior service here. The family concierge is worth the dollar stretch. Thaina is an exceptional concierge.

Paradisus Grand Cana - resort was amazing, new and luxurious. The ground and the property was always kept clean. We stayed for a week and had a blast. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Our swim up room was great - ample space, clean and comfortable. Patio and jacuzzi were excellent. Special shout out to - Yuberkis at buffet during dinner time. She always had a smile on and went above and beyond every time. We couldn’t get a reservation on the night we arrived for my birthday but she went above and beyond to make my night memorable. I can’t thank her enough. Also, two servers at the main pool. I think their names were Francisco and Leonardo. They were amazing, always on top of our orders, and always with big smiles 😊 on their face. Even though it was scorching hot some of the days. Staff there definitely made our stay much better. Only recommendation I can suggest - opening the restaurants earlier including the buffet. With small children and elderly - earlier dinner would have been better for us. Also, it was extremely hard to get reservations for the restaurants so we just stuck with the buffet. Only went to Tori 1 night for dinner. Only available times were 8:30 or 9:30 pm. That’s too late for us. Other than that no other issues. We had a blast. We will definitely be back!

Overall it was a nice place to stay. Child friendly. Most of the staff was great. Food could be better but could have been worse so basic. Walls and doors are not well insulated so you unfortunately could hear all the people in the halls. Usually quiet after 10pm but like anywhere ypu have a few rude people. The beach is a 3min golf cart away or a 10/15 min walk. Beach was nice and clean. Water park was good for our needs except the baby section sprinklers didn't work so that was disappointing but baby still had a blast. The crib we had requested was there upon arrival. This was a great experience for our family of 4 which included a 1yr old. We also had a swim out room which was fantastic and another reason we chose this resort. We would go to another Melia resort.

It's a small resort. The staff was great very kind and friendly. The rooms were functional though out dated. Felt safe throughout nice beach and local authentic restaurants plenty watersports available for a few. The pools at the resort were very nice. No nightlife really at the resort after 11 (plenty outside next door etc) safe area to walk around and explore. The only complaint is the food. We had a hard time finding something to eat. Basically ate hot dogs and pizza everything else was just BLAH...watered down juice etc. that is were you notice the difference from other all inclusives there are plenty of good restaurants to choose from within walking distance and there are two at the resort for a fee. All in all great value for the money, clean friendly staff and nice pools and beaches...plenty of beach/pool beds and chairs.

The reviews about not having hot water are partially right. We had hot water once in our room but heard that other rooms had it but it would go cold for a couple minutes mid shower. Not having hot water wasn't a problem because it was so hot that a cold shower was welcome. Until you want to shave your legs and have goosebumps. And reception had no bandaids available in their first aid kit when there was an inevitable shaving cut. So, bring first aid. Our room was immediately next to a main pool and where the nightly entertainment was. If you're not looking for a party, make a point to request a quiet area of the hotel or you won't be able to sleep or even nap until after 11/11:30pm. The street is old, as is the infrastructure so the street often floods with grey water that smells like sewage in the afternoon but is gone by morning. I read complaints about this and, for sure, it's not ideal but consider what you're paying and that you're in a country that doesn't have the same municipal facilities you're used to. You should stay home if you don't expect to encounter these kinds of inconveniences. Or pay 4x as much to stay somewhere else. Roll with it or don't, but don't complain when you get what you paid for. If you're looking for a calm, quiet getaway, this is not it. If you're looking for an all day pool party that's family friendly, this might be your vibe. Most importantly, there's a puppy that lives on the beach that will steal your heart.

We stayed in whala bavaro for 7 days. We were hesitant to book it due to the reviews. There’s so many reviews that food is bad and that service isnt good. But we needed to have a place closer to the airport but we are so surprised with the resort. Our stay was AMAZING! Food was good! Buffet restaurant have a lot of selections. Variety of food to choose from. Theres also a snack bar that also offers good food (i wouldnt consider this a snack bar as they serve REAL FOOD like pasta, chicken wings, fresh fruits, pizza, nachos and huge selection of dessert), they serve didf types of cocktails in this snack bar as well. At night, you can make a reservation for italian restaurant (MOZZARELLA STICKS IS A MUST TRY APPETIZER!!) The bar… one bar by the beach , a bar by the main pool, and another bar by the snack bag. They serve local and imported alcohol beverages. For customer service. I cant say anything bas Staff are friendly and helpful. Best part of our vacation for me are the workers who mase our stay memorable. Big THANK YOU to our bartenders (SANTO, CEASARLUIS, EVELIN) keep the drinks coming hahaha Also big Shout out to ADRIAN and ANGEL from the snack bar. Always a good service! I will definitely recommend this resort aa we has a good experience during out stay! THANK YOU WHALA BAVARO!

I loved how sweet our room service lady was, she was the best staff. It was a very small resort but I still enjoyed my time there. There were various pool options and a beach just a few feet away. It felt very safe and everyone was friendly although some staff looked like they didn’t want to be there.

Great smaller resort, close to the beach (across the street). Good food, nice pools, and very nice gardens/ greenery.

Occidental Punta Cana was a very nice all inclusive resort. We enjoyed the buffets with a variety of dishes. The restaurants were not great but if you didn’t like the restaurant you could always go to the buffets afterwards. The pools were great one of the pools was more of a party atmosphere and the other was more relaxed with less crowds. The beach was within walking distance with plenty of beach chairs. At the moment there is a large problem with seaweed accumulating on the beach but the resort was doing everything they could to clear as much as possible. The room was well maintained and stocked with towels every day. We always left a nice tip for the maids hard work in both our rooms. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much! If I had one critique it would be that I wish they served more authentic Dominican food dishes at the resort and served more traditional fruit varieties that you’d find in the Dominican as well as more tropical fruit drinks.

I took my mom and aunt to Occidental Punta Cana. We were greeted with Carlos Rosario as our butler for our stay. He was amazing to say the least. He made all our reservations for the restaurants in short notice. Was available for us whenever we needed. Their system was to use WhatsApp as communication. And Carlos did an amazing job at communicating with us making sure we enjoyed our entire stay! We had a rough start at the first restaurant with the service not being very good. However without having to ask, Carlos came by to check on us and when we expressed this to him, not only did he immediately get someone to fix the problem but he also made sure we did not occur this incident again. He was a huge part of why our stay was as good as it was! The rest of the staff and our stay was just as good. Everyone was kind and welcoming. They always want to find a way to help you. We felt like we were special guests attending this resort. The food was great both restaurant and buffet. the facilities were amazing with all their pools, beach, disco, and excursions. We got the chance to visit one of the other larger and more popular resorts not too far from occidental however found that when we returned back to occidental, it felt like home. Comforting. Definitely will be back!

We enjoyed the entire property, from its well maintained green areas to food and mostly hospitality. Everyone was very attentive and friendly. The pizza and tacos crew, to the restaurants staff. A BIG shoutout for Joceline Ortiz Medina & William Altagracia. Joceline went above & beyond the line! She was very hospitable, attentive and provided us with an outstanding service and always with a smile and such a wonderful attitude! William gave us an amazing service, he would give us every drink from cup of water to a beer with a smile, positive attitude and “es un placer”!! Thank you so much to all the people working (behind the scenes; cooks, dishwashers, etc. )gardeners, waitresses, towels crew, pool crew etc…that made our trip a wonderful experience!!! We now want to go back and will def go back!!!! Than YOU!

Stayed in the Royal Level and loved it. Loved the Royal Restaurant and Royal Level Beach Bar and beach area!!! Royal made this place better than expected. The beach is absolutely beautiful, and you can walk for miles. Was hardly at the pool because the beach was so spectacular! Service in the Royal Level was amazing. Everything from checkin to housekeeping, service at the restaurant to service at the beach bar area. Royal is definitely worth the upgrade!

This hotel is very nice and real surprise. There’s a calm, simpatico feeling here. It has a kind of “1950’s Hollywood Hills” or “Pasadena garden apartments” feeling about it. I was suspicious after reading some negative reviews and the low price. Don’t worry. There is nothing cheap, or shabby here. Seems like it has recently been very nicely renovated. All the fixtures are modern and the curtains and linens are nice. The AC is good and the wifi generally works fine (although occasionally it drops out). Absolutely no concern about security or crime. If anything, there’s an unexpected high level of tranquility. Nicely maintained grounds and nice pool. This is not a resort and not a chain hotel. There is a very pleasant and distinctly non-commercial retro style to the operation. No glossy printed materials in the room with information or rules and regulations, or little bottles in the bathroom. No lobby or restaurant or gift shop. No bellboys or maids to be seen. It’s simply a quiet, pleasant island in a sea of commercial tourism at an extremely reasonable price.

Excellent area steps from beach. Great staff Rosa was great, help us with early check in. Clean pool. Relax area and security guards 24 hrs 100% recomended!

We stayed in one of the duplexes upstairs with a nice view of the ocean. The unit was very big and pleasant. For some reasons we never got anyone for cleaning but it did not matter to us. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had breakfast at the Villa Blanca Beach Club and ended up taking all with us to the room as we had a very pleasant balcony. The restaurant played nice local music but was a little too loud for the morning wake up! I would recommend and would love to go again and next time would request casa 24!!! Thank you

Mostly can’t complain about much. Breakfast was included and lots to choose from. Pool area, some patio furniture could’ve been a bit cleaner but lots of chairs to choose from and pool looked well serviced. I guess one night a few rowdy revellers but hey when on vacation..it’s all about fun! Would definitely recommend to go if you don’t want all inclusive but a not too close to beach. Buses are readily available, or poppis, or taxis. Few restaurants in area with great food too!

Lovely staff, very accommodating. Started off in an older, dated room but the manager found us and quickly upgraded once another room was available. Clean pool, great breakfast. Limited English but communication was fairly easy. Quiet and relaxing, although there was limited hot water. Surrounding restaurants are amazing and conveniently close to a minimart to purchase water. I’d stay here again.

The hotel has a nice pool, we had a huge room at the top floor, however the decor in the room is so outdated.

The hotel is nice in a shopping area with a few bars and restaurants and a small pool. The bed is comfortable but we wish there was better lighting in the rooms and that there was a trash can.

I stayed with my boyfriend and we would usually stay up until really late and wake up late in the day. The staff was very understanding when I requested that we not be woken up early to have our room cleaned. They would clean when we would be out for the day and were very understanding and respectful of our sleep schedule. I would usually wake up on time for breakfast but my boyfriend would sleep until later and Angela was a sweetheart and she would let me bring breakfast to our room so he could have something to eat when he woke up. Every staff I came in contact was extremely kind and helpful.

O atendimento é o ponto forte do hotel, além do custo benefício. Muito obrigado Daniel por toda ajuda! O café da manhã também é bem preparado. Única coisa que senti falta é que o box do banheiro, por não ter porta, acaba vazando água. Se colocarem uma porta já resolve o problema. No mais, ótima estadia.

I liked the size of the rooms and the bed is super comfortable. I also liked that there were restaurants we could walk to and a table and chairs to play cards on in the evening. The breakfast was excellent and Manuel (the cook) made exactly what of us wanted! It was an awesome experience!

I travel with the family and have to say such great value is hard to find, glad I booked this hotel. Super friendly staff, very clean and spacious rooms with access to the beach club which even though small was just right for us.

There is on site parking and plenty of street parking, the swimming pool is a good size and you can always find space to lounge around the pool. The local supermarket is less than a 5 min drive, with plenty of options.

We read the reviews prior to booking this place but decided to ignore other people's opinions and test it out for ourselves. In other reviews we read that the staff do not speak English. We do not know Spanish so we were a bit worried when we read that. However, while the staff do not speak English fluently, they know enough to assist as needed. They were very nice, friendly and helpful and we had absolutely no problems when communicating with them. The room was larger than we expected, the bedroom was air conditioned, the living room had a large fan that kept the room cool, the kitchen was fully stocked and the bathroom was huge. The place was clean upon arrival. The pool was a nice feature, it has a kid side with a barrier that is pretty shallow and then an adult side. It was very clean, my family used it daily. They also have a fitness center but we did not use it to review. The hotel itself is in a good location. We rented a car but you could walk to shops and restaurants from there. I felt very safe there, all of the locals were friendly and nice to us and we had no problems during our 1 week stay.

Very quiet, safe, and beautiful resort with a large pool and kind, helpful professional staff! Stores-including a large supermarket, small restaurant, bars, and other stores are available within 5-8 minute walk, very safe and secured neighborhood where people keep their doors unlocked, the area around is very beautiful with many other hotels and condos around. No loud music during the night time and relaxing atmosphere. Important thing is plenty of hot water in shower, while in many other hotels hot water is only available for about 5 minutes , while in Bavaro green it was available non-stop.

If you are not looking for a vacation in a resort in this beautiful Caribbean Island then this hotel is for you! Its 200 meters from the beach, you just have to walk out of the hotel and cross the street and through a gift-shop and you’re at the beach, the room was only 40€ max per night what is a great value for the money considering the location, the room was basic, they had a pool and a basketball court and they served breakfast next to the pool, there were many restaurants near the hotel and you could book activities at the reception and they were awesome, I went everyday to a new activities because i wanted to see the island and I went to a boat trip to the beautiful Saona Island and I also went to the city to see the local life and then i went buggy riding in the wild and after that we went to an underground cave pool to cool off, basically if you want a Caribbean getaway and lay on the white sandy beaches on a budget then this is the place to go!

I loved my stay at Cortecito Inn. I will definitely be back and recommending guests to come here. Pros: the pool and bar is great (gracias Chris) , the property is well maintained and the proximity to the beach is amazing. It is literally right across the street which was a deciding factor in staying at Cortecito. Breakfast at the restaurant next door is fresh and filling for what is offered. The options are limited but delicious and service was attentive (gracias Daniel!) My room was spacious, bed and pillows were comfortable and it had a balcony, tv and a great AC. Also, checkout is on the later side which is wonderful and I was able to stay at the pool after handing in my room keys while waiting for my transportation to pick me up (gracias Javier!). Some good restaurants, convenience stores and a money exchange place are right across the street from Cortecito and as a solo traveler I felt safe in the area Cons: The bathroom in my room needed some attention but nothing that would deter me from coming back. However, the fridge was so loud when connected, it could be heard from outside the room. I had no option but to shut it down because I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep with that noise. I brought it up to the attention of reception 3x and it fell on deaf ears. I was given the pretense that I would get my room changed and that never happened. Due to this I wasn’t able to bring food to the room nor keep my drinks cold. Overall I had a great stay, thank you so much!

I’ve been coming to this hotel years now after staying in some all inclusives in the surrounding area. I much prefer here were you get a better more authentic view into the Dominican lifestyle than being cooped up in an all inclusive. The rooms are pretty basic but you don’t go on holiday to stay in your room,they’re cleaned everyday to a high standard of some of the most amazing women I’ve met. The reception and management staff have always a pleasure to deal with from start to finish and will resolve any issues you have quickly and efficiently no problem. The hotel itself is surrounded by a treasure trove of restaurants and stores where you can get some of the best cuisines and dine on the seafront as Bavaro beach,one of the most beautiful beaches in the world is directly across the road from the hotel. Adjoining the hotel is its own restaurant where you can get a very good breakfast included with your stay free and then purchase meals and drinks throughout the day too,they also provide pool service if you ask. The pool is the die for too and if your lucky you’ll get to take full of advantage of it to yourself often and the grounds boys are all amazing too. I reallly recommend it here,I’ll be back again too!

The room was much better than in the old advertised images so that I have included an updated 2025 picture. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The cleaning ladies did a fantastic job keeping it bright and shiny all the time.The hotel had only 3 sunbeds for which there was fierce competition amongs guests. They bought 3 more on January 31rst 2025 for a grand total of 6 but they still need more. There is a restaurant on-site ran by the Pronel Family that offers super delicious food and drinks, wifi and super good music. No wifi in rooms though. Also many safety boxes in the rooms are out of order. The AC and fridge worked perfectly right. The hotel has the most superb and huge inner courtyard straight out of paradise. Again, the pictures advertised don't honor it enough. You will want to spend many hours there. When I talked to other guests, this is what they mentioned first about the hotel. The pool was clean and very pleasant, a few leaves here and there but that is a normal thing. Breakfast was good but should be earlier than 8 am. Finally the location was excellent, very central.

Lots improvements done to this property and rooms. Reception very helpful. Security akways there. Need to keep pool cleaner. Grounds well kept. Cleaning staff attentive. Need to have more towels onsite. Rooms comfortable. Live the balcony’s. Perfect location if you like going out. Breakfast now onsite which is s great change.

Great place if you are experienced traveling. I am pretty experienced. Across from princess resort but the resort takes up a mile of the beach so to get to the beach you need to take a bus. The bus is every 15 minutes from next to texaco. Costs less than 50 cents. I paid 45 US. Per night for hotel. Clean room friendly staff. Breakfast included. Accommodate me for egg whites and no meat. Walking to town a little bit of assertive people trying to get you into their shops But if you're used to that it's fine I am ok with it just say no thank you. I was there for six days after six days I pretty much knew all the people so they didn't bother me I rented a car within walking distance of the hotel at euro car I was told to avoid other car rental places I paid $80 per day All in all a good place if you're able to take the bus there's three nice beaches playa Corellis is best. I took a boat to the coral reefs for $25 for two people

My roommate and I stayed here March 15-20th and we had a great stay. If you're looking for a place that isn't super touristy and you're not interested in a luxury stay hotel I would highly recommend this place. It's about a 15min walk from the beach but we caught the bus (roughly 0.25usd) or road on a motorbike cab (haggle them for 1usd). The breakfast was just enough every morning and everyone is every patient with you if your Spanish isn't up to par. You don't have to go far if you're looking for gift shops even though it isn't as big of a tourist destination. People can be very over bearing when trying to get you to buy but try to remember that this is their only income. My only problem is that we thought they offered free airport transportation because it's listed under the amenities on trip advisor but they don't, it's a 35usd cab ride. Overall we had a great stay and I'd recommend this to all the budget/backpacker travelers

I've stayed at Flamboyan several times and I really enjoy this hotel as sometimes I get sick of the all inclusive resorts. It's located at a very good location, if you're familiar with the area it's very close to Bavaro Princess and the 24 restaurant Las Delicias. It's very clean, breakfast is included, you get free wifi and it's decently priced. If you would like to explore Punta Cana, go to different beach clubs, go to Macao Beach (public beach), check out shopping plazas and so much more. If you do feel like you miss the all inclusive resorts you can buy a day pass at your favourite resort. It's a different way to experience Punta Cana if you don't feel like spending the entire time at a all inclusive resort.

This is a established hotel in the heart of El Cortecitio. If you are looking for an American experience don't stay here. The staff is pleasant and accommodating. The Hotel is immaculate with a very nice lobby and includes breakfast. If you don't speak Spanish try to arrive during the day. Warm water is and good air conditioning. The rooms are spartan but a great value for the money. I always am safe and enjoy staging here. Thank you!
