The pools are wonderful. We like the biggest one since it’s the quieter one :). Word to the wise, if your going to get a swim up just make sure your not like us and spend the extra just to hang at the pool area all day where there is actually drink service.

The food was exceptional, from the restaurants to the buffet. All of the staff was extremely professional and helpful. The spa was amazing and I highly recommend the hydrotherapy circuit. The swim-up room pool was large, as well as the room itself. The facilities were always clean.

Beautiful resort, seriously every building, restaurant, pool and bar was wonderful. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The swim out room…it don’t get better than that!! I wish we could have stayed longer!

The restaurants were better than expected for an all-inclusive. There was something always available to eat, and room service is also 24/7 with exceptional service. Everything from the shuttle service, the swim out pool, the characters, etc exceeded our expectations. Will definitely return!

Second time back and the kids loved it. Had a swim out on the first floor which we preferred to our 3rd floor suite from last stay. Resort was less busy this time due to time of year. Staff are amazing and ensure to check in often. Highly recommend.

Buffet was great, loved that they had a low one for the kids to use. WaterPark was super fun, different sides depending on age. Staff was friendly & swim up room was amazing.

Highly recommend this adult only resort. Great food and beverages. Nice suites. Clean rooms. Friendly service everywhere. Very friendly service from our concierge, Magda, and our coffee barista, Montse! Fun variety of entertainment every night. And we loved the different pools; quiet, spa and fun party pool with swim up bar.

The resort was amazing! If you can, shooting for the villa with the private pool! I can speak highly enough about the staff, especially the butler service! I liked having fun service, but the orders were never right. Not even once. I'm glad it wasn't an extra charge though, or I would have been upset. The food overall was pretty much bland everywhere we went, but the hibachi was good. The amenities, the service and the entertainment staff, though, I can't rave enough about! I wish I could have stayed longer. 5 nights was not enough... it's so big, there's too much!

This place is absolutely incredible! The rooms are cleaned twice a day, the food is out of this world (honestly hard to come home after eating here), and the staff is beyond amazing—so kind and helpful. One night I had a little too much to drink, and without me even asking, the waiter quietly brought me something to help me sober up. It worked, and the fact that they did it without making me feel embarrassed was just such a thoughtful touch. The spa area is gorgeous, complete with cucumber water and healthy little treats, and the room service is just as delicious as the restaurants. The drinks are fantastic too! There are fun games by the bar pool, a relaxing spa pool, and even a quiet pool meant just for unwinding. The bar pool still feels relaxing, but it also has energetic classes—we had a blast doing paddleboard yoga there! Truly one of the best vacations I’ve ever had. We’re already planning our next trip back in six months (or maybe even sooner!).

Returned for 2nd time, last here in 2018 and always have wanted to come back. What can I say that already hasn't been? This is and excellent 5 star(truly), beautiful all inclusive. The beach was clear and beautiful 4 days of our trip so we felt lucky the sargassum seems to be letting up. The activity pool is GREAT and the quiet pool I started calling "Eden" because that what I'd imaging it to look like. Food was fabulous, got into any restaurant easily w/ exception of Italian which had a wait so we just went to it another night. Loved the app and used it a lot to check on activities, what restaurants were open, to order room service and even to "chat" any questions. The staff is wonderful and eager to anticipate your needs even before you do. I always like looking at food pictures so am posting some of mine, the food is excellent here. Will return again next time we do an all inclusive in Mayan Riviera area. Note to resort... some shade awnings in the pools would be great... the sun is definitely hot!

Hubs and I visited for our 20th wedding anniversary. This was our first time at an all inclusive, and it didn't disappointed. The food and drinks were delicious and plentiful, the staff was so kind and accommodating. We stayed a full week, and sprung for a club level swim up suite - each pool has its own vibe, and ours was quite and felt very private. Would go again -10/10 - no regrets!

Excellent 1 week stay. Have stayed at this resort multiple times and always done the club. I would not recommend anymore. Moved to a new location upstairs in the far corner of the building. My opinion is they should move it back between buildings 7 and 8 where it was. Everything else was great as allways. Shout out to Lino and Ricardo at the swim up pool bar. Great service my friends!

Once again had a great stay. The ocean was brown this time and very ugly. Good thing I don’t go for that. Was unhappy with all of the Coatis running around. Twenty to thirty would run across the bridge at the swim up bar several times a day. They are in the garbage cans and followed my husband when he took a bag of empty chips to the garbage. Other than that, service was awesome. We are not really happy with the nighttime entertainment. It seems in the past there was livelier music to dance to. Early bands outside were really nice. The grounds are beautiful.

This is our second time staying at an Excellence resort. Staff and service were friendly, helpful and responsive. Food was great, especially the mushroom risotto at Flavor Market. Our housekeeper was so kind and efficient and left us cute little animals made from towels. The only downside was the AC not working in the room for two nights and the plunge pool auto draining and not filling up for two days. Staff was able to resolve the AC issue for one night but the plunge pool issue was not resolved.

Upgraded to a swim up room. Desk clerk said that was rare but was able to because of low occupancy. Due to Expedia booking we also got a late checkout and were able to make reservations at the restaurants

My friends and I had a great week at the Valentin. It was a completely relaxing vacation. We really enjoyed staying in a swim up suit. All the workers are super friendly.

The swim up bars and restaurants had great food options. Our golden suite room was dirty.

Went here ten years ago for our honeymoon and came back for our anniversary! Although some things have changed post COVID, the food was still great, grounds and rooms were super clean and well taken care of and we truly enjoyed our visit. We had the cheapest room and it was still very nice, but I think if we return we will spend the extra for beachside or a private pool.

Resort was great, a little too large for my usual preference. Could use more bartenders at the pool bars as it took a while to get a drink unless you got out of the pool and went to one of the other bars near the pool. The concrete around the pools is super slick and seen several people fall and one that was injured pretty bad. Definitely wear shoes of some sorts around the pool area.

Moon Palace Sunrise was lovely. There are 3 Moon Palace hotels located next to one another. They are very safe, within a gated setting. We were in the Sun Rise. The Sunrise has the multiple pools that are usually shown in the advertisement pictures. The other two hotels have pools but not ones that look and feel as relaxing and beautiful as the Sunrise pool area. The staff were friendly, tips are already included so completely optional. The room and facilities are clean. All inclusive includes all drinks and food at restaurants, mini fridge in room, room service, mini golf, all arcade games and ping pong and air hockey-basically everything you need or want. They are very clear if there is an activity or situation where you have to pay. My only annoyance was the constant check in with me to see if I wanted an excision or to spend 90 mins at a sales pitch to get a day pass to the main Grand Moon Palace hotel that has the water park. I walked there and was not impressed and did not feel like I missed out by not taking them up on the day pass. The Sunrise pool has kiddy slides and fun water park kiddy stuff, the other hotel had a single slide for adults and bigger kids. I did not see the waterpark in Grand, but not sure I was missing out. The beach is beautiful but there was seaweed on the shore making swimming less appealing. They did a great job trying to clear it daily. Other than that, a Fantastic, relaxing vacation. Lots to do, beautiful scenery, and friendly staff!

We had an amazing experience during our stay at Moon palace. This resort has a lot to offer for adults and children of all ages. Big pools, pool side bars, food, kids pool, play room, full spa … list goes on and on. Staff was super friendly, welcoming and really taking care of all the guests. great food options - more than what you can eat buffet and bunch of fine cuisines. Can’t wait to go to one of palace group resorts around the would again!

This was my first Moon palace visit. I started with Sunrise then upgraded to Grand. They offer good packages for membership. U can also decline and receive vouchers for cheaper prices in future bookings. The sunrise had very big nice pools and lots of activities. There is a kids pool in the corner. Food service is available all around. There is some walking though from buildings to loby. They have excellent golf cart service at Grand between water park n lobby. Other golf carts are also available almost every 5 to 10 mins. The rooms are excellent. The grand room is very nice n all quartz with nicer expensive equipment. Booking dinner reservations at restaurants was a bit difficult. Almost every time i was on a waiting list. Food was excellent. So many choices. So many activites to do with kids. Water park n playroom is a hit with kids. We loved the hotel.

This is one of our new favorite resorts! The drive from the airport only took 20 minutes and the resort is beautiful. All the staff were over the top friendly and helpful. The restaurants were decent and no wait times and the drinks were made well. The resort has 3 pools for kids, activities, or lounging with the swim-up bar, all next to each other with plenty of poolside chairs and cabanas. Highly recommend for families.

Dreams Riviera is an awesome resort. It’s smaller in size, which makes life easier when you come with kids. The rooms are spacious, and we stayed in one with a little pool. My kids loved it. The staff is amazing, Alejandra who leads activities was so sweet and full of energy and Alejandro at the swim up bar so sweet to my 5 year old son. He chatted with him and made him feel like he was his buddy. Overall, all staff was great. Food was also very high quality, we especially enjoyed the sea food and Mexican restaurants.

Property is beautiful and we tried all the restaurants, presentation and food was exceptional. It’s quiet and a 20 minute cab ride into Cancun if you want to explore further. Our room faced the ocean as most of them are Ocean front. The rooms are well appointed and a large shower that opens up to a plunge pool. It’s a very romantic hotel and we have stayed at many Waldorfs around the world, and we have never been disappointed. I read reviews about how expensive the food was, which I found was reasonable for the quality and for the Waldorf. The beach is walkable and the Ocean is not clear blue waters, but it’s private and the pools at the hotel make up for it. We enjoyed our stay but if you want variety and more stimulation this may not be the place to stay. For us it was about tranquility, sun and just enjoying the luxury experience of the Waldorf.

As a solo female traveler this was the best place in Cancun to stay and feel safe and taken care of. The place is stunning, quiet, relaxing. I received a tour when I arrived from my personal concierge. Daily I was asked if I needed anything. Before my excursion the bellman had a bag with a towel and water ready for me. My transportation would not come into the hotel entrance so the bellman took me and picked me up at the drop off location. The food was outstanding. The plunge pool outside on the balcony looks directly at the tranquil beach and was delightful! The Miami Vice drink was the best one I’ve ever had. The personal attention you receive here is off the charts. I will make this my go-to hotel from now on!

The hotel was beautiful! The amenities and restaurants were top notch, but there are only three restaurants on site - one of which is very spendy so you’ll likely not dine there nightly…this leaves really two places for dinner if you’ll stay as long as we did (7 days). Don’t let other reviews about the beach deter you, we loved the beach. The seaweed was there but not a big deal and the water was so nice and warm. We went daily :) The staff were honestly the best part about the stay, they were some of the most (if not the most) accommodating group of people I’ve encountered at a hotel. The level of attention and enthusiasm during our stay was just incredible. Thank you especially to Antonio the amazing bellman, Karen at the concierge, Patricia (Patty) out in the pool area and Irvin at Jao. You all went the extra mile always. Wow, this is an amazingly beautiful hotel! I love when a place looks just like the pictures. The warm browns and neutral tones filled every inch of the resort. The pool waters were so comfortablely warm that I truly didn't want to get out. People who love to watch the sunrise will be in awe of the view from their balcony. I always prefer modern style, so the room decor was grown and sexy. The staff were extremely pleasant and accommodating to all requests. Now for my favorite part - the FOOD. The pork belly tacos were the best pork tacos I'd ever had anywhere! I was literally so happy, smiling, and crying at the same time because they were that good. I'd take a bite and then sip this non-alcoholic drink they served and my taste buds went crazy. I hadn't had a food-gasm in a long time, but I sat back and enjoyed the ride.

I loved our swim up suite and the preferred club room.

This was our third visit to the hotel and everything was just as good as with our previous visits. All the staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful. The preferred adults only pool is lovely, the staff are brilliant there, it is the same in the preferred lounge too. Also a big shout out to Carmen, in the lobby bar, who is the most fantastic staff member and a credit to the hotel. Everyone works so hard and nothing is too much trouble for them, no matter which position they hold. We first visited with family, which included young children and enjoyed the main pool, which is more lively and offers a variety of entertainment but visiting as a couple, we upgraded to preferred as we wanted the option of using the adults only pool, which we like as it's more laid back, but know we have the option to use the main pool should we wish to.

5 Stars – An Unforgettable Stay! From the moment we arrived, this resort exceeded every expectation. The property is absolutely stunning—clean, vibrant, and perfectly maintained. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the incredible staff. Guadalupe, our housekeeper, went above and beyond every single day. Our room was spotless, beautifully arranged, and she even left little personal touches that made it feel like home. Her kindness and work ethic are unmatched. At the pool bar, Marco kept the energy high and the drinks flowing. He remembered our favorite cocktails, always greeted us with a smile, and made lounging by the pool an absolute blast. The man is a legend behind the bar! And Alberto at the World Café—wow. Every meal we had with him was top-tier service. He was attentive, personable, and made sure everything was perfect, down to the smallest detail. You can tell he takes pride in his work, and it shows.

Very well maintained and clean. Staff are friendly and accommodating . Always smiling and happy to help. Every single one I was in contact with and said thank you to responded with a “my pleasure”. Food was excellent , taco bar was out of this world. Great pool and pool bar, beach bar and coffee shop. Room was spacious and bed very comfortable . We had a wonderful time !

This is the best and most beautiful hotel we have ever been so far.. Everyone in the hotel is extremely caring and nice, food is amazing, every restaurant is unique, the level on detail is perfect! We can’t wait to go back! Special thanks to Rosita and Julio for all the advices and excellent treatment. Gracias por todo!

Food was excellent in every regard and the property was immaculate. We’d return to stay at Maroma without a second thought.

They let me check out at 7 pm. I’m sure this wouldn't have happened if they were fully booked, but I felt like royalty the whole time. The steak at Wooden is the best I’ve ever had. 💯

Unrivaled service. There is not the word No in their vocabulary. The restaurants are exceptional and the setting is ideal. The place is perfect for relaxation and to switch off.

If you want to slow down, this is the place for you. It is a bit removed from the little town of Puerto Morelos, but they do have a daily bike tour that takes you into town and of course it's an easy cab ride. The property is lovely and we had the room with a private pool / hot tub that we loved. All the pools were well heated since it wasn't super hot in January. The staff was all so awesome and accommodating. The activities staff was so great and hard working. We took advantage of the bike tour, water aerobics and a craft project - all included. Kiki and Gracia are wonderful. They also had games and books, etc. There were other activities too but some just don't have enough people at times. I think only 4 showed up for the Pickleball tournament. We also really enjoyed paining pottery for a small added charge. The food is only OK but the little restaurants are nice and it was just so convenient. We didn't want to take any risks with getting sick so we just ate at the resort. We probably enjoyed Mexican night and Italian night the most. The beach is a bit rocky and not as swimmable as you'd like but if you walk down toward the other resorts, it gets calmer and it's technically a public beach so you can swim wherever you want. You just probably can't take chairs at other places. We also did a short presentation at the hotel and got a free trip to the Dolphin experience within walking distance. Our kids absolutely loved that.

Grand Residences was amazing! We went with our kids ages 8-12 and were thoroughly happy with so many areas. First, the private transport was impeccable and perfectly executed with friendly staff, cold cloths and water as well as timely pick ups. Check in was seamless and we were greeted with beverages for all. Our room exceeded expectations and photos! The private pool and hot tub as well as large outdoor entertaining area was awesome! Room service was timely and offered a wide variety of foods. The restaurants were delicious - the kids particularly enjoyed the buffet breakfast. Customer service was above and beyond typical resorts! Highly recommend!

This resort is very clean and food quality is very good. But the construction is not complete yet. Meaning it only has two restaurants and one beach restaurant. There are only two pools, one for lane swim and the larger one which has two sections for adults and families. There is basically no entertainment in this resort. After 5 pm there isn't even music playing around the pool. At 5 they pack up the speakers and put them away so it feels very dead. If you like somewhere clean and quiet this place is perfect, but be ready to get bored. The extend of entertainment is playing bingo by the pool in the afternoons which meant for one hour they stopped the music and read the numbers at load one by one even if only 5 people were participating.

First time in Puerto Morelos. Grand Residences is phenomenal if you want a quieter vacation with a great room, fantastic service, above average food, decent variety of cuisine, awesome pool and beach area, and a smattering of on site activities. We loved it. David the concierge was very helpful. Did a couple excursions like snorkeling and bike ride into town that were both great. Good place for families. A couple tips; if you order room service allow for at least an hour and order double as the portions are rather small. Also, if you do not like the theme night buffet at dinner then ask for a menu to order what you want.

I enjoyed my stay. The staff were extremely accommodating. The restaurants were nice. I would have liked for my swim out poolt to be cleaner. I also would have liked there to be a better control of the animals that visit the resort.

We stayed in the tropical view swim out patio and the room was just absolutely amazing. Very roomy, lots of drawers and space. There were themed parties and dinners. You will not be bored here. This is by far one of the best resorts we have stayed at!

My partner and I loved this property. The swim up room is always a plus for me. The party pool was a great time and good music! For an all-inclusive, the staff was very responsive, and we didn't have to wait super long for room service. We definitely enjoyed ourselves! Ps bring floaty's if you get a swim up room; it was the perfect touch!

Celebrated my birthday at Breathless with a 5 day 4 night stay. Booked a xhale swimup room , the VIP services were great, our concierge America was very helpful , she always made sure to ask us how our stay was going and helped us with anything we needed. The staff was really the highlight at this resort everyone was so kind and helpful. Hugo and Luis at the VIP bar, Manuel at the pool service all provided excellent service. What needs improvment is the music playlists, you would hear the same music you heard at the pool at the nightclub, by day 2 you knew what song was next lol. Other then that I had a great stay!

EDM was amazing!!! ALL staff were attentive and helpful from the time we arrived to the time we left. I had so much enjoying the amenities. The beach, the swim-up pool bar, and the entertainment at Rick’s. I visited with a group and we enjoyed everything. I upgraded from a private pool suite to a swim-up suite. The bathroom with the toilet room needs some updating, but besides that, everything else looks great. I also would love if they upgraded the food options. Some restaurants were, some were closed, some served different items on different days. I think something consistent at each restaurant with different options would be great. I will definitely visit again and recommend.

We spent our honeymoon here at El Dorado Maroma. The views are breathtaking, service is usually amazing, although we did have a couple waiters who missed a few steps occasionally( like not bringing us breakfast pastries basket when all other tables got one.) The have a great selection of food and alcohol included, Patron, 1800, good options. The main pool area is quite loud, and could be heard from inside our private pool suite, so we spent most of our time at another pool in a quieter area. (They did offer to move us for $100/per night upgrade). The catamaran boat tour with snorkeling was very interesting and we saw the second largest coral reef with a giant sea turtle! The property did need some upgrades in furniture that isn’t damaged and new carpet, but the rest of the resort was in good shape. I wouldn’t recommend the provided transportation as it took us over two hours after arriving to the van to actually get to our hotel, but overall a very pleasant experience and a great choice in Playa del Carmen. The landscaping and tropical gardens really won us over, as well as the resorts smaller scale in comparison to the mega resorts.

as a female solo traveler, safety is paramount, and i never felt so safe while on vacation as i did here. the place is amazing. the bathrooms smell delicious. the restaurants offer delicious options and cater to any allergies or preferences you might have. be sure to book the specialty restaurants for suppers. the theme nights they offer once a week are quite the experience ( i only go to do the mexican night but thoroughly enjoyed it). the staff are very attentive- at the beach, in the restaurants, at the pools, everywhere you go. I've never felt so pampered from the time i arrived to the time i left. lots of activities to do each day from dancing lessons, to mini individual spanish lessons on the beach, arts and crafts, cooking lessons, beach and pool volleyball, etc and those are only the ones that i was informed about from roaming staff. the fact that it is only for 18 and over is so refreshing. do the on site excursions *based next door like the catamaran snorkling trip, camel ride, etc) or go off site for the cenote and cave trip for even more fun. if i would have had more days i would have done every offered excursion. the transportation, cleaning staff, bar tenders, pool cleaners, medics, life guards, bell boys, beach attendants, spa staff, restaurant staff, personal concierge, check in staff deserve much credit for making their clients enjoy the vacation even more memorable. everyone was so helpful and friendly. you wont go wrong choosing to book this property.

Place is an older resort but well maintained. The people are amazing . The rooms were large and super clean . The food was really great for a resort I thought . No buffets all food the food was fresh . Premium liquor on hand . The only draw back I had was the honeymoon suite shows first floor with a pool outside in pics . I was on the 4 th floor no pool . I did like the spot because we were away from everything but should have paid less .

Lush and Beautiful grounds, we’ve never seen so many different kinds of plants in a landscape. The Coffee shop, Churros cart and food truck by the pool were Awesome! The STAFF went over and above to make our stay memorable. We felt very spoiled!

Everything! Food was ALL amazing, drinks were top shelf, entertainment was excellent and THAT POOL!!!! I'll be back!

The staff was very helpful. The hotel was not a party place, so if you are looking to relax, then this is the place. There's no beach to swim. If you are like me, a beach person, then this is not for you. The rocks, the see weed makes it impossible to go in the water. I liked the a la carte restaurants but you should always have buffet for lunch. Because the snack bars would close at 3:30 and it was either pizza or nothing. I also had a swim up pool in my room, the pool was not cleaned, and the main pool should be cleaned more often.

Wow! What a wonderful experience. My friends and I stayed at El Dorado Royale for NYE. Everyone was so hospitable, the resort was exceptionally clean and beautiful, every detail was taken into consideration! Our room was well stocked and maintained during our stay. We had a swim up room and our bartender, Fernanda, made our trip so special! She’s the absolute best and we will miss her! The dining options were awesome, such a wide range even for room service. No complaints for us :)

Beautiful quiet retreat like property. Many eating options. They offer transportation to and from airport at no charge. They also include day trips at no charge. Hotel beach is ok but they can take you to Maroma Beach at NC. Swim up rooms look great but even though i booked one; i didn’t get one. Employees very friendly. Cabanas available everyday at NC and I was able to get one everyday.

The place was beautiful. A lot of different places to eat and try. Hotel staff was excellent. We booked a beach front swim up and didn’t get it because of over booking so disappointed on that They have $300 comp to use at the resort so we used it on the candle light dinner on the beach. Overall I would recommend

The staff were superb!!! Mar took care of us with drinks and food during our stay in the junior swim out suite with a tropical ocean front view for my Husband’s BDay trip!! She was so pleasant! Ivette at check-in was a true gem! Very accommodating and friendly! I would recommend everyone. We stayed a few nights 6/15/23 - 6/18/23 at Secrets Riviera Cancun Adults Only AllInclusive Resort!

Our stay was over all good! The ocean was not really swim-able due to sea grass.. the service was consistently inconsistent for our room! After 3 days we had not received clean washcloths… after we asked for them we did receive replacements… also there was a few days they didn’t replenish our bottles water… was to be restocked daily… after bringing things like this to their attention they did fix it but we should not have had to remind them how to properly restock items. We had a swim up room n after a few days they were taking the pool towels but not replacing them.. until after we asked… but Alejandro at the Twist and Squeeze bar was fabulous as well as Carlos at the After Dark club . And Mar at the secrets preferred pool! These 3 provided impeccable service each time we saw them!! Our “concierge was rarely around and provided really no assistance. While we did enjoy ourselves it is unlikely that we will return to this property. The food was ok… not the worst but far from the best.

We came to celebrate our 20th anniversary and loved our experience. Loved our swimout room although it did have a bit of a moldy smell inside the room, not sure why that was because the room and surrounding areas inside and out were well maintained and clean and beautiful.The Staff was great! They go above and beyond! We visited the Rosewater restaurant, hibachi, strip grill, Spumante and buffet. All had great food options. Even the wood grilled pizzas were great by the pool. Only downside was the club After dark. If you weren't drinking wine or beer then their mixed drinks were horrible. Also they closed at 1am, so that's a little early for my preference on vacation. Beach wasn't turquoise clear but it was a good view for those that don't go in the beach waters anyways. Great first experience for all inclusive in Cancun.

We loved our time at the resort. The check in process was easy and the property is beautiful. Most of the employees were very friendly and eager to meet our every desire. We were lucky enough to be offered a free upgrade. We were in a king suite with a swim out. Our butler introduced himself to us right after check in. We were told that he would be in touch frequently to see what he could do for us. He asked about all of our favorites for the mini bar. We never heard from a butler the whole time we were there. We finally reached out to him on the 2nd day we were there and asked for a few things for our mini bar. And we never heard from him again for the rest of our stay. If we had actually paid for this upgrade I would be very disappointed. The breakfast buffet was really good! There were so many options! The resort was in excellent condition. There are just a couple things that may need some updating. The mattress was very worn and sunken in and the bath towels were very rough. They might need to be replaced soon. Overall our visit was awesome and we really enjoyed relaxing here for a week.

This was our first time visit to this resort (or one similar) and we found it to be very inviting and open without any uncomfortable pressure from others there. The Eden rooms were new and very nice, but the older rooms did not look bad and something we would possibly stay in also for future trips. This has been a bad year everywhere in the Caribbean with the sargassam seaweed. While this resort doesn't have much of a beach presence (one small area with a few cabanas), the pool environment more than makes up for it. We will definitely attend again.

Great service, amazing staff. We liked the pool games, it was incredible. The food exceeded our expectations. But on top of that we liked the vibe and meeting people!

This is not just another resort! It`s for openminded couples only, that accept nudity and enjoy a very erotic atmosphere. We loved our room at Eden, which was spacious, clean and comfortable. Whenever you book an "all inclusive" resort you expect food to be average at best, but this is not the case for Desire Eden Riviera Maya! Food was comparable only to fine dining gourmet restaurants and the drinks (spirits and champagne/sparkling wine) was of amazing quality. Before going we were sceptical of all the glowing reviews but, seriously, absolutely everything is on the highest level- our room was very comfortable & spacious- a perk of booking here we understand! ;), the facilities are luxurious, very well planned & maintained, the food isn't on the absolute highest level but still excellent (esp the breakfast), the direct contact staff are all amazing: always super friendly & helpful, and we met so many cool cool people among the other guests. The only minus is that there is not enough chairs by the pools, you have to get up really early to claim a chair for yourself and your family or friends. We rented a cabana at south and north pool. The service by South pool was excellent!!!!! Especially Pedro was a great one. At the North pool they ignored our reservation till almost 11 am, I asked a multiple waiters about ice, water and complementary drinks. Eventually we received it all but if you consider cabanas, choose the one by south pool. South side is quieter, north side is louder with more activities for kids and adults. We enjoy the pool valleyball, and aqua aerobics. But the music it’s being played wright behind cabana nr 8, so if you want a great view of the ocean you’ll get it , but at the cost of loud music! We got the 2 queen bedroom. Beds were comfortable, but there is no privacy in the bathroom. The bathroom walls are completely made of glass which leaves you with a total lack of privacy outside of the toilet and shower which are the only concealed parts of the bathroom. And be careful, if the lights are dimmed, you can’t see the glass, I walked into it twice, hitting my head really hard. On tv there is nothing to watch, like we wanted to watch a move or something at the evening. Overall it was ok!

Eva and Marum were great during the check in process. First time staying at a family resort due to having our son, but it wasn’t bad since they had a more chill vibe pool on the south end. Had an ocean view suite on the 7th floor overlooking kid pool and north pooll, but it was quite. Lunch buffet was lacking, but the pool side tacos made up for it.

top notch quality but limited choices and activities. Great for couples looking to relax and getaway as well as families who want a more relaxed trip too. Very clean and beautiful resort. While I wish the buffet options were more, the poolside snacks made up for it. Little to no entertainment-no nightlife! Everything was done around 11, no music near the pool. Only Friday is there poolside entertainment (we were used to the daily pool activities/music in other resorts) Overall, GREAT resort. I just felt a limited choice in food at the buffet and little/no music or activities. Would I go again? YES but not rushing to go back

First time in Cancun and this place was perfect for my husband and I to celebrate my birthday week getaway. The food and service was good for the most part. There were the one or two not so friendly people at the front offering welcome drinks. I wasn’t offered a welcome drink upon arrival on Saturday evening but next day I saw the drinks there and asked if I could have one, she told me, only for the people checking in 😠. The hotel is clean and looks beautifully decorated but, the beach is not nice. When I booked the private dinner on the beach, it was set-up in the children’s pool area and had lawn chairs around it. I wouldn’t pay the $300 if I knew it wasn’t more private than that. They need to move it further away from the poolside. It was really annoying and I wanted to ask for my refund but didn’t because the set-up was nice. The dinner wasn’t so good compared to a couple of the restaurants except the octopus appetizer. Another downside is the long drive with tons of speed bumps from the main road to the hotel. It’s a 10 min one way in and out. The beach is very tiny and has lots of sea sargassum. The water is not turquoise at all. My husband forgot his flip flop on the lawn chair by the pool and someone stole it. We checked in the lost and found for a few days afterwards but no luck. I hope who stole it needed more than he did. Overall, The Hilton Cancun had everything we needed and food was good for the most part. The price was decent for the value.

We loved that the resort was was smaller/less crowded, and the swim-up room was awesome!. Staff was very helpful and kind. Beds were a little hard on the back and the food was just okay.

This was a good all inclusive hotel right on the beach with lovely pools and landscaping. I was upgraded to a swim up room which was lovely. The hotel had a Mexican fiesta on the beach one night with dancers and musicians and I did the morning yoga. The restaurants are menu service for lunch and dinner. The only downside is the hotel is not near a town centre and has a very poor road to get to it. Overall I enjoyed my stay here!

We came back to this resort, but brought our children as the facility is family friendly, safe & fun. We went in December, so it’s likely that we visited during “down time” for PM services. Several pools were out of service, hottub wasn’t heating & there was an aroma of sewage outside our room. The room was nice, but our swim up area was small & water was milky looking, so we remained out of it. The 2 ladies that do the kids activities were beyond stellar!! I cannot recall their names, I believe Tonya and the other started with an “L” were caliber and attentive to our kids. Hands down the best part of our trip! All of our servers when we ate were also 5 star! They were attentive, got to know our kids & knew what we liked. Rose in Joe Merchants was a blessing! She was wonderfully sweet and remembered my girls names and what they wanted before they ordered. My girls loved to see her as much as they did to get a snack! I was slightly disappointed in the selection in Joe Merchant. When we visited a few months prior they had a large variety - including local fresh foods. This go round was processed foods and canned drinks only. The biggest concern I had with the resort, was o requested how to get a taxi to take us to a mall Or shopping as we had a mid size group with kids. We were pointed to the direction of the Excursion Desk next to the resort reservations desk. We booked an “excursion” assuming it was safe & jeapordized our trip, burning an entire day and never taken to shop.

We just completed a 9 day stay at the property. I feel like we got to know the resort well before we left. Whether you would enjoy your stay greatly depends on what kind of traveler you are. Are you there for drinking or adventure? Do you want quiet or a swim up room by the bar? My husband and I were in room 415 and my adult sons were pin 403. Originally they put us in the bottom floor 403 that looks right into the License to Chill bar. That was better suited for the 20 something’s that didn’t mind hearing music from 9-5, so we switched rooms. The downstairs patio opened to the courtyard, so they could bring a drink from the bar to their room. We preferred the upper balcony of 415 & corner window that looked over the ocean. It was ideal for watching the sunrise.Our beach was meticulously cleaned of plastic and seagrass every morning by hardworking groundskeepers. It is much easier to get an alcohol drink than water. The bartenders are friendly and good at their craft. We were always able to find a chair on the beach. There is an excursion desk that’s easy to use if you’d like a day out. I tried to get information before our trip to plan ahead, but had a difficult time. I even got misinformation on Chichén Itzá, so I booked a private tour. Our trip to Isla Mujeres booked through the resort was fun. The resort is isolated. There isn’t much area to explore or places to run or walk around. There is a stuffy, indoor gym with no view. I’d recommend only 4-5 days to keep it fresh.

The staff are wonderful! We had a swim out room at the Casitas area and thought it was absolutely worth it. I can’t find a single thing to be unhappy with. We both enjoyed the included day at Maroma Beach with the catamaran snorkel. That was some an awesome inclusion. The entire resort as well as the Lomas travel team and the staff at Maroma are so well organized and punctual. We had the best time!

This was our 18th trip to a Mexico all-inclusive resort. We can say by far one of the nicest resorts we have stayed at. The food was fabulous with the service and staff being outstanding. But unfortunately, hotel management decided to do construction on the room next to ours on our last full day at the resort. Sad part for us it was our 32nd wedding anniversary. Construction started in the morning and continued throughout the day. Our outdoor space was basically under construction with workers doing heavy demo all day then running chainsaws only feet from our porch. We had debris falling into our space and swim-out pool making them both unusable the entire day. We expressed our disappointment with the lobby staff and were assured management would be notified. We also expressed our disappointment in the resort app chat section and were assured they were sorry. We left the room for a few hours for lunch and when we came back our entire porch was covered in debris and there were electrical wires in our swim-out pool making the entire area unsafe. We again spoke with multiple staff members about the issue and even our safety concerns and we only got automated messages saying they were sorry they did not meet their own standards. The cleaning staff was scared to even go on the back porch, and we ended up calling maintenance ourselves to get the exposed wires out of the pool. We never got any acknowledgement from management of our concerns.

This was mine and my husband’s first trip to Cancun and this resort was phenomenal. We stayed in a swim up private pool honeymoon suite and it couldn’t have been more prefect. The outdoor shower sounded gimmicky to me at first but that is something everyone should experience at least once! The candlelit dinner on the beach is very romantic and I highly recommend booking it. I don’t feel like going into detail about how great everything was, but it really was top tier! There’s also a few excursions you can book for no extra cost because they are part of the “more inclusive” thing that Lomas has started but we were enjoying the resort and relaxing so much that we just decided not to do any.

The property is beautiful. It’s very large and spread out. There are 3 large sections. One section accommodates people with children under 18. Another is all casitas, adults only, larger rooms, each section of casitas with its own pool and swim up bar. The other section is adults only but all hotel rooms. A very large pool area is available. Restaurants throughout the properties. Only slight annoyance was maid service. One evening we came back, turn down had occurred, but all towels were taken and not replaced. Another night, we noticed our water and snacks were not replenished. Another time coffee pods had not been replenished. All was fixed after a call to housekeeping. Otherwise, an excellent property & vacation property. Would return again.

When the resort is busy - totally worth it to get a room with the private pool

Beautiful place, staff work so hard, food was great, pools wonderful. However the smoking on the property was not enjoyable at all very gross. And this was the first resort ive been to that didnt make the swim up bars adult only which made for some very not appropriate behavior in front of young children. Other downfall this resort is in the middle of no where and does not allow for uber to come pick you up so only option is a set cab ride price which was very expensive. I would recommend this place if you dont intend to leave it.

First of the food was amazing, the rooms were really nice. The pools with swim up bars were spectacular. However there are a few downsides. We arrived at the property early and though they allow you to enjoy the property offering at that time, our room was not ready at 3pm, we had to wait for 30 more mins. Secondly, i feel like the elevators are old and we got stuck in the elevator for a good 20mins in such hot weather, after someone came to fix it , there was no apology whatsoever from the admin.

Good resort doesn't feel crowded the room was very nice we had swim out with butlers they were awesome ( Carolina Oscar and Nassar) great people. Pools not crowded but if you want a few shots of liquor forget about it they will only give you tequila shots I got tired of weak frozen drinks. The nightly shows were good but good luck finding a seat. They are closing in August for 3 months for remodel I would really like to see it when it's done.

Overall had a great experience and stayed at the swim up room. Some of the rooms could be updated but overall i had a lot of fun.

Restaurants were good! Swim up service was great! Good night club with hookahs!

Don't listen to the people complaining. I had a wonderful time. The buffest is really all you need the food there is amazing. I also ate at the Hunter's steakhouse which was amazing as well. The room are big and beautiful and there are many areas to just sit bk and relax all over the property. You feel safe on the resort and there is always entertain or something to eat everywhere you turn. My only complaint is I wish they had night entertain on the adult side of the resort and that the adult swim up bar closed later, other than that I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in room 3800, ocean front master bedroom, and it was huge. It has its own plunge pool, 2 balconies and 4 sliding doors to outside. You get a butler with this room who can make dinner reservations at all restaurants. The beach is nice and the resident crocodile is fun. Security keeps everyone safe from him/her. Food is good with a couple of hits and misses. Service is excellent.

we were a family of 9 w/ 4 rooms for a high school grad trip. (we had all adults in our group) but chose this as other families that went had minors. We had preferred club. no bracelets. we arrived around 11 am and got rooms between 130-3 pm. rooms were well appointed and roomy. balcony was nice w a "tub". all glass bathroom- if that matters for privacy. Nice PC amenities. room was humid though even w/ ceiling fan. The beach was full of sargassum so we never went down. Biggest peeve was the only AO pool was PC and no swim up bar and NO shade in the pool.. Service was semi lacking while in the pool- even w/ tips. the mexican restaurant service and food was great! Asian was decent and we didnt love the italian. Buffet always had plenty of choices. the shrimp tacos at the bluewater grill were amazing, as well as the nachos. the same nachos at barefoot grill were not good at all.. but the teens said the burgers were amazing. Desires was fun and really did get popping at night. the lobby bar is open air and that is where the "shows" are. they were decent shows.. just not enough room really. the PC lounge was nice and had more top shelf options. all in all we feel it was a decent choice and would try other dreams

Second time back and the kids loved it. Had a swim out on the first floor which we preferred to our 3rd floor suite from last stay. Resort was less busy this time due to time of year. Staff are amazing and ensure to check in often. Highly recommend.

The water park is amazing! Lots of fun for the whole family! Rooms are well appointed and swim up offers a great semi private pool (shared between 4 rooms in the upstairs floors). Food is decent but at times hit or miss, although decent variety and great kid options on both meals and mocktails. I found information on hotel details and what's happening a bit harder to find than expected.

My family (kids 9 & 12) had a spectacular visit here. The waterpark was fun and super clean. The design was impeccable- we were constantly surprised by the details. My spouse and I ate our weight in insanely fresh seafood. We were very impressed with how this place not only catered to kids, but adults as well. You will forget you’re at a theme park while sipping margaritas at the swim up bar. The staff were incredibly kind and efficient as well.

We stayed at the Nickelodeon Resort for 4 nights with our 3 kids and it was amazing. The resort was super nice. Everything was clean and well kept. We had our own pool on our balcony and the water was not too cold to swim in like others have said on here. The kids loved it. We spent most of our time at the water park during the day which was great. Lots of things for kids and adults. The food overall was pretty good for an all inclusive. Service at the restaurants was outstanding. Shout out to Ivan who helped us get everything scheduled! Also Jesus the bartender at the swim up bar was awesome and so kind! Character breakfast was excellent and lunch with the ninja turtles was great as well. The shuttle ride to the waterpark and lobby area was only 3 to 5 minutes at most. Highly recommend this resort for a family vacation!

My stay was awesome!! The location is extremely clean and you get the real Mexican feel of the neighborhood. I reserved the studio- kitchenette which was very spacious and cooled off quickly with the air conditioner. The TV has a lot of channels and the room gets a great amount of natural sunlight. The host and her husband are very nice and knowledgeable about the area, transportation and the overall experience of Cancun and Playa del Carmen. A light breakfast is provided which included fresh fruit, toast, juice, coffee and yogurt. The fruit was different each day but was equally delicious. Across the street is a little lady that grills the best chicken and ribs everyday for sale, it is cheap but delicious. Each morning my girlfriend and I would use the bikes to ride around the town and even to the beach. This was one of the best parts of this trip. I recommend this location because the price is cheap and right between Cancun and Playa del Carmen. This gives you the chance to enjoy both beaches and alternate evening adventures. Overall the town of Puerto Morelos is a great place to visit because you have the ability to enjoy local life while feeling safe and not breaking the bank. I plan to return and request the same room. Nothing bad to say at all about Buenos Dias! Also, the host will get a cab to you quickly and with fair prices.

We had the pleasure of staying at the off site accommodations of Buenos Dias B&B for 3 weeks in Feb/Mar 2018. Our unit had a full kitchen and one bedroom with a very comfortable bed and lovely linens. Breakfast was always a good time for meeting guests from around the world while enjoying Eva's wonderful coffee. Fresh fruit, juice, yogurt, cream cheese and bread were always available. Bernardo and Eva were most helpful providing details and information for any excursions,sites or trips around the area. We felt more like friends than clients by the end of our vacation. There are many restaurants and fruit stands and grocery stores (with ATM's) nearby. We did not rent a car as the taxis are inexpensive ($30 pesos for the 3 km trip to the beach area) and bus service is safe and available for wherever you want to go.

We really enjoyed our stay here. You can experience an authentic stay here in a neighbourhood, and practice your Spanish with the hosts. We stayed in a basic room and then a room with kitchenette and both rooms were really nice and a good size. The hosts are amazing, so friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast to start the day. Really enjoyed the use of the bikes and snorkeling equipment. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who is wanting to stay in the town. It is about a 15 minute bike to the beach.

The B&B is beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. And super clean! The owner is really nice, knows a lot of things to do, where to eat,... and gives you a warm welcome. She and her husband even dropped me at the bus station the day I left, so I didn't need to walk the distance with my backpack. :-) There are collectivo's around the corner, that take you for only 5 pesos to the beach. I definitely recommend this place!

Buenas Dias is a hidden gem. Throw out your Canadian or American ideas of what a neighbourhood or b&b should look like, and you will enjoy everything this “mom & pop” operation has to offer. The neighbourhood is safe, the people friendly, and the food nearby excellent. Allow yourself to experience a more genuine Mexico with these excellent Spanish/English speaking hosts who go out of their way to make you welcome. Very comfortable, clean accommodations, great included breakfast.

I really liked the big rooms they had! We absolutely loved our main floor swim out! We had Erbie who visited us daily to get our drink orders! The room was very clean, the maids did a good job at cleaning and giving us new towels. I didn’t like how they touched our personal belongings such as our toothbrushes and put them in different places on the bathroom counter. They did stock us well on water but lacked on the snacks they only did that once. We loved the catamaran and snorkeling on Maroma Beach! Drinks and food were included and that was one of the best places we ate!!! There was a lack of communication on instructions for things and where we needed to go or what to do both on Maroma Beach we got there and had no idea what to do. Same for when we left at the end of the week we didn’t know we needed a piece of paper for the transportation but we did eventually figure it out ourselves. But we loved the activities and loved the swim out it was so much fun! Loved the size of the bathroom too! The bartender at Sling Victor was so amazing and friendly we saw him every night! They kept the beach clean! We enjoyed so many meals at the Palms we loved that we can sit out and enjoy the great view of the beach while we ate! Room walls seemed to be thin and we could here a lot, they also didn’t seem to have a limit for quiet time. That did get frustrating when it was really late at night. Overall loved the way the rooms were set up!

We just returned from a relaxing weeklongstay at Generations resort Riviera Maya. My two kids and I stayed in a swim up suite, kept neat and clean by Elizabeth. We loved waking up to the swaying palm trees, and dipping into the pool with a perfect temperature. The staff were very welcoming. Our Butlers José Luis and Imelda went above and beyond to make us feel at home. In the morning, everyone who served us at the Market buffet impressed us with their attentive service. They would even remember a drink preference the following day. We also loved seeing Israel at Palms, who took every opportunity to make us feel comfortable. The chef at Palms also did a wonderful job. Another chef and team that really stood out was Marco, Julio and Bradio who made and served the chef’s table at the wine bar. This was such an amazing meal that we can’t stop thinking about with each course carefully crafted. Irene and Nancy at the spa, treated my brother and I to incredibly relaxing massages and nail treatments. It was the staff that made this trip extra memorable. We look forward to going back one day!

We have been traveling to Mexico for vacation for 25 years and we have stayed at many hotels. We have had some good and some bad experiences but it was an excellent experience at Generations. The 2 different times that we went we had 2 of the most amazing butlers. Diego and Luiz were the best butlers we have ever had. They went above and beyond to take care of us during our stay. They were definitely on top of their game. As for the rest of Generations, it is beautiful, clean, amazing staff and amazing food. We love that it is simple and easy to get around. Also, the pool is amazing and huge, we love the bottom floor because of the swim out, but upstairs are great as well and with a beautiful view. We will definitely be booking at Generations again and again.

The service at Generations was wonderful. I would like to thank my butlers Luna, Diego, and Ervin. They were very responsive, and wonderful to talk to. If one wasn’t available, they told me who would take care of my request. The rooms were well maintained, and I appreciate the evening turn down service. The rooms all have shared pools per wing which was a great way to relax. The resort was very kid friendly with plenty for them the enjoy. It is really not for a quiet adult relaxation due to the number of families, but the private (ish) pool does compensate, and access to the El Dorado adults only pools. You also have access to the El Dorado restaurants next door, but that is adult only. I would do this resort again with my grandkids, nieces and nephews.

My son and I came for our annual trip to Mexico and we had a wonderful time! Our room was clean and comfortable, the pool was the perfect temperature, and the food was amazing as usual. The sargassum was always there but there were crews cleaning it up as best they could. Unfortunately Mother Nature is winning this year but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the rest of the resort. We had a mother son spa day with relaxing massages and pedicures. We both left super relaxed. The restaurants were also great and I appreciate that they now have a dinner buffet most nights. Our favourite is still Wine Kitchen but Jade and Haab were also excellent as usual. Lunch at Palms is always a great experience. I love the Baha fish tacos and you can’t beat being next to the ocean. Chef Market delivered solid breakfasts and lunches and was super convenient for us. Full disclosure- I’m an Exotic member so I received some extra benefits as per our contract. Our butlers Eddie and Luna were incredible! They were so responsive and thoughtful. If we had even the slightest concern they took care of it right away. We had Eddie last year too and were happy to see him again. I love that I see the same great staff every visit.

The Moon Palace resort is massive, spanning over 120 acres. It consists of three sections—Sunrise, Nizuc, and The Grand. If you book a stay at The Grand, you have access to the facilities across all three resorts. The dining experience is exceptional across all restaurants. We tried Indian, Mexican, Mediterranean, Italian, Pan-Asian, and the international buffet. While the Indian cuisine was somewhat disappointing, the rest were outstanding. A highlight was Momo Teppanyaki, where the chef prepares the meal right in front of you, making for a fantastic experience. The resort features multiple pools, all of which are excellent. We stayed in a swim-up suite, which was absolutely perfect—truly the best choice we could have made. Though the resort is expensive, it is completely worth it. The water park is decent but more suited for younger kids. Unfortunately, two slides were out of order, which was disappointing. Lastly, all the bars serve high-quality alcohol, adding to the overall luxurious experience.

One of the best all-inclusive resorts in Riviera Maya, specially if you are someone interested in food quality, variety and convenient restaurant schedules. The hotel phone app is a huge advantage since it greatly simplifies the process of restaurant reservations. I have been to many all-inclusive resorts in the Riviera and The Grand has the best restaurants. It also has superb liquor quality, with very fine brands. The hotel also serves Coca Cola, instead of Pepsi, which is also great. Room-wise no big difference with other similar-quality resorts besides the minibar, which actually works pretty well ! Great check-in process and concierge service. However, you will be asked to have a breakfast where they'll introduce you to their multi-year membership, but you can always opt out after managing a little bit of pressure from the concierge. On the negative side, not enough beach chairs / lounges at the beach, usually they are all occupied early in the morning. At the pools it is easier to find free spots. However the pools are not so nice and they all close very early (7 pm!). Another negative is that pool and beach bars close at 6 pm, very convenient for the hotel but not for the guests. There is one specific pool bar open until 7 pm, but the staff starts closing it around 6:30 pm as well, so no big difference. Pool and beach service is very poor, no different than any other high-end all-inclusive resorts. You can find the best food and staff service at Jade, Casa Mía, JC

I stayed at the The Grand Moon Palace Feb 2025. First time visiting. The staff were all super helpful and friendly. Family friendly resort. Pros, amazing food options, Circus restaurant was really fun! Our family could always find lots of areas to sit which was a huge plus. We could go to a different pool area everyday, huge resort. Loved the food options in the pool areas, servers brought the food right to you. Cons, so many plastic water bottles. I would have preferred more options to use refillable water bottles. Would go back again and highly recommend. Call out to Rebekah in Public Service and the medical staff. Rebekah helped us with an issue and the medical staff were amazing to have access to 24/7. Even called to check on us.

The hotel is exceptional. The restaurant options are excellent and the number and variety of activities for adults & children are fabulous. There are a number of pools and ample availability of sun-loungers and pool concierge. I would highly recommend this property!

The lay out is perfect. If one pool is busy you can walk around the coner to another one. This place is made to enjoy the pools.

I really recommend this hotel to anyone! There are basically 3 hotels in one, you can go to 10 bars and restaurants, from beach restaurants, Mexican food, Italian, seafood, anything you can think of you can find but the food is really good in all of them. The staff are always smiling and happy and kind to you. All the rooms are spacious and have all you need and look great. We stayed at the cheapest and it was perfect for us, I think the better ones are beach view and ‘swim up’ but ours was great. Beautiful design and layout and you feel great walking around. Lots of options for areas to relax in the beachfront, some busier than others and always someone there to take your order and bring you whatever you want! I have been here twice and have been to other all inclusives in the area and this is my favourite so far, others are great but this one is exceptional. It’s more relaxed and happy than other resorts. if you’re comparing others and not sure, trust me, come here and thank me later!

We had the best time! My husband and I brought both sets of our parents for Christmas and then we stayed an extra week for New Years. The service of the staff at this hotel is incredible. Leo was a great bellman assisting with luggage, Alfonso was our favorite golf cart driver - making sure we got where we needed safely while showing us the wildlife. Isaac and Clemente were perfect bartenders at the casita pool, making sure we were always refreshed and chatting with us. Alfredo always made us feel welcome at Cabana pizza place and his partner Geramo. Miguel and Jairo did an amazing job at the Italian restaurant - so well we came back twice more and booked the wine room for a chefs dinner on New Year’s Eve! Memo prepared our chefs dinner and it was excellent! He is so passionate about what he does and it shows. We can’t wait to go back!

This all in inclusive was so so fun! The restaurants were good, the pools were fun. I’d recommend getting up around 7/8 to save a spot by the pool, the swim up bars are great and the workers and bartenders were great! Only one of the ladies checking us in had an attitude but besides that rough check in, the whole stay was amazing!

The restaurants were great! Food and service was wonderful! We had 2 kids with us - the rooms were great! Shows/white party were sooo fun! There was many different pools with swim up bars and 2 food trucks outside for lunch - burgers were amazing! The only con would be the buffet for dinner - the food was ok.

I booked the Diamond club suite with the swimout for my Birthday, The room was beyound my expectations. Both my butlers Enrique amd Ivan was the best hands down. Anything i needed they were there, they were able to decorate my room they were very much appreciated for going out their way for doing thay for me. I did go on a solol trip, this resort made me feel very safe, I did see security around the property. This is the best place to book if you looking to take your family on vacation as their is so much on the propert for the children to do. There is a huge water park for the kidos as well as a bowling alley, some sort of tramapline bounce area and lazer tag. Majority of the food i ate was decent 7/10. Must try the Zen resturant 10/10 I was able to book my birthday dinner there i would definitely recommend, Also I booked a Swedish massage they were all great and so kind 10/10 plus they did throw me in a discount because my bday and another 20 percent because i booked with the diamond. All in all i give the Royalton place a 10/10. It was definitely hard for me to leave and for them take my wristband, I will be returning to this property.

Just returned from a week stay and my whole family had an amazing time at this property and would definitely recommend for large groups with all different age groups. There was something for everyone and they made sure there was some kind of event or entertainment each day to keep it fun. I definitely need to shout out Victor that does the pool volleyball and activities daily. He made our afternoon pool time amazing and so funny. He even took time to go down to the beach with our family to help us take photos of our group of 19. Then the bar staff by the pool bar was great. Especially, Georgio he was so kind and really made sure we all enjoyed our drinks all day! PLEASE remember to tip these guys. It’s hot and they are really working hard. I was alittle nervous about the food seeing there has been some negative reviews prior to us going. I wouldn’t say any of the buffet food was amazing, but good enough. I think you can’t expect much of a large buffet trying to appeal to the masses but it felt clean and no one got sick, even some of our group took a chance eating the sushi and raw fish and they were fine. We were able to get reservations at the steakhouse, Brazilian and Hibachi restaurant. The food was fine, but the staff at all 3 made it worth it. Everyone was so nice and great at accommodating our huge group. Hugo at Zen Hibachi restaurant so amazing, made our last night memorable. All in all great time.

Beautiful!!! The grounds are wonderfully kept, the rooms are modern and clean, the food was fantastic, and the staff is one to admire. We had the room with the swim up pool. It was the best decision! Our room was close to the pool bar and Bettyna was on call! Her friendly and attentive service made our stay all the better. We will most definitely return.

Azul was amazing from the food, spa, pools, swim up bars all great, staffing was very kind and attentive if you needed something they were quick to assist you, the room was beautiful really enjoyed the jacuzzi. The property it self is amazing but you can tell it need a bit of work all in all I would definitely stay here again

The only down fall was the sargassum so we couldn't enjoy the beach but it didn't bother us too much because we enjoyed the swim up pools! We will definitely come back to this resort!

Building 4 elevator was down the entirety of our vacation. The main lobby elevator worked every other day. The music at the swim up bars were unrecognizable. The beach is not usable because of all the seaweed. The resort is a nice resort. 3to 4 star resort. They do need some improvements but i would recommend for families that want to lay back at the pool.

Staff were very nice and accommodating very clean and safe hotel beach was nice pool was nice as well swim out room was for to die for.

We had the best experience at secrets maroma. The food was delicious, our swim out suite was perfect, drinks were strong and staff was lovely. I especially want to give a shoutout to our concierge Roger Arroyo. He was always a text away and responded to us within minutes. He was a great concierge!

Our stay was exceptional from start to finish!! This resort is paradise! The beach is fantastic, the rooms are lovely and clean. We went with a preferred club swim out and are eager to do it again! The food was good, the drinks were good, and the service and people are AMAZING!!!

Specialty food was 10/10. Shows were great, staff was very friendly and attentive! We got a swim out room, we really enjoyed it. We recommend not going during sea weed season to enjoy the beach.

Over all this is the best resort my family and I have stayed at. We just got back from our 2nd visit and most likely will not be the last stay at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo. What we loved about our stay: All of the pool amenities are great for families and especially ones with small children like us. There was a great water park for smaller kids, as well as some big water slides for us adults and bigger kids! We also really enjoyed the wave pool and lazy river. It was never an issue finding pool chairs to lounge on either. There is water fountains to fill your water bottles at each hotel block, as well as water stations at each bar including assortments of fruit infused water. Every buffet meal and restaurant dinner was incredible. Did not have one bad meal and I am a picky eater. We loved the steak house, Japanese restaurant, and the burger bar at the shopping centre was firing up seriously delicious cheese burgers. ***seriously book the steak house and Japanese restaurant!!**** The beach was clean and always easy to find a few lounge chairs to hang out on with the family. That being said there is a couple things that could be improved upon, but not a deal breaker for going back again personally. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, husband and I woke up with a sore back each morning. Hotel room bathroom could have much cleaner, I understand it is humid there but black mould should not be growing on the shower walls. *Cleaning lady was great though*

Lots of places to eat. Some of the food wasn't as good as it could have been. Most of it was very good. Had to walk pretty far to get lunch at the buffet when we were at the pool. Lots of choices at the buffet. Lots of pool areas, not crowded. Loved the lazy river. The slides were fun for the kids.

Overall, we really loved staying here. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and the wildlife was so cool to see. The pools are gorgeous and fun and location was great too. The food was above average for an all inclusive and we really enjoyed getting to try all the restaurants. On to the negatives. We arrived at 11 and were told the room wasn’t ready yet(totally understandable, as check in is at 3). We were told the room would be ready by 3, and we came back at exactly 3. The front desk attendant must have stared at his computer for about 15 minutes without telling us what the issue was. We were told to come back in 10 minutes which we did. Once again the front desk worker just started at their computer screen without saying a word. Finally she said that we needed to come back again. I informed her that this was the 3rd time we had tried to check in. She then said she had a room available with a jacuzzi tub. We got to the room, and not only did it not have a jacuzzi tub, it was not a poolside room, as I had booked. When we called the front desk, they acted like we should have known the room wasn’t what we had paid for. We finally got the room we had booked, but this was wasn’t the best way to start our stay. The next thing was the lack of availability at the restaurants. They claim to close at 10pm. We got to one of them at 9pm and were told they had no availability because they were closed. When we complained, magically they had a table for us.

This was my first all-inclusive stay with my kids (9 and 11). This is a GREAT place for families, as it caters to all ages. Overall, I’d go back there again with families (perfect place for a family reunion), but not for a romantic or luxurious getaway, or for a party atmosphere. Here’s my take… Pros: The pools were a huge draw - perfect for lounging, playing, drinking, etc. The waterslides did not disappoint at all! There were always at least a few open beach chairs anywhere we went, though the premium locations tended to get snapped up quickly. Service was always very friendly. The commitment to waste reduction was a surprising perk - it was so lovely to have almost zero single-use kitchenware, which meant very little trash and a clean conscience. The beach is beautiful. It’s a large resort, but surprisingly easy to get from place to place. Fun vibe, but not crazy party place. Quiet when it needs to be. Felt VERY safe. Cons: the food was unimpressive for the most part. It did the trick, but nothing more. There were a few meals that were truly delicious, like the Japanese hibachi and the steakhouse, but otherwise, it was Costco-grade. The rooms could definitely use an upgrade, like more functioning outlets, but they served their purpose. Finally, if I went back, I’d stop by 7-11 first to load up on specialty snacks, sunscreen, pool toys, etc., because even though they sell all this stuff at the resort, it requires a second mortgage to pay for it.

We have come several times to this resort and it still is a fun resort. The entertainment isn't as good as it used to be but the buffet/food choices are very good and diversified. The rooms are relatively quiet and beds comfortable. Still a trick to find a spot at beach or pool; everyone gets up early to reserve spots and come back later, just have to play the game. Unfortunately they are now charging $ to rent spots by pool. Too windy to do any water sports/jet skis this week but usually able to get beach spot if you don't wait too long in the am. Could have better service for drinks at beach; fewer servers coming to you.

The staff was amazing, really made you feel at home. Mar and Edwin, our pool always had a warm welcome, smile and a cold drink. Baily and Fabian our pool concierges were fantastic and really made our stay exceptional. Rosewater was our go to for most meals, David and our other morning servers and staff were the best way to start your day. Luis the night manager and his staff were absolutely incredible!! And Luis in the preferred lounge rounded out our fantastic experience!

Overall I think Sensira is beautiful and not a bad place to be. We had a nice room with the bunk beds for the kids and that was a game changer for us. The room was clean and well maintained and overall we liked the accommodation. The staff at Sensira was likely the best part of the resort. Especially those that worked in La Pergola and pool side. The staff were a highlight!!! We liked that there was a good variety of. We especially liked the Mexican restaurant for a good dinner option outside of the buffet. The Rodeo restaurant was our least favorite as it does require a reservation (not listed) and it was kept incredibly cold. The buffet (La Pergola) was good, but I preferred the food they cooked for you over the food made available as everything just didn't seem hot enough. However the food they cook for you (Omelettes, Tacos, Seafood, etc) was incredible! For the kids the adventure club was awesome. We could just drop our kids off for a few hours and it was amazing. Gave us a bit of a break and allowed us to enjoy the spa (amazing) or pool. The ziplining was also a really nice treat. Kids got the go on that multiple times throughout our visit and was a massive hit. The pieces that we didn't like was ocean. It was filled with seaweed and it covered the beaches.. The pools were really cold and the swim up bar never was adequately staffed. The road leading up to the resort was awful and caused delays when coming and going. Overall good if you don't like the ocean

Absolutely fantastic hotel and we didn't want to come home. The staff were friendly and helpful. We also had 3 butlers who would look after us directly while we was there and nothing was to difficult for them to do. Rafael, Humberto and Joao were all amazing but especially Rafael. He was so helpful with many of the things we needed. Like when he checked us in. He made the process so easy and straightforward. Getting booked in via a private check in was a new thing for me and something I would definitely like to do again. The food was amazing and there was so many choices to eat. The hotel had 3 pools (also a private pool and sauna in the presidential suite). It was directly on the beach. It's also a great family hotel with room grades being able to have up to 7 people in them. Which I think is amazing for a big family with children. I would highly recommend this hotel and I will be definitely going back again as soon as we can. We took so many pics but hopefully these ones will show you some of the hotel.

Roads To Hotel - There was a lot of pot holes in the road coming to the resort. View From Hotel - The views in the hotel and around to the surrounding ocean and beach were beautiful. This is very much dependent on your room location. We were on the bridge overlooking the kids pool and the pool bar. Cleanliness And Service - The staff was very friendly and whenever I put anything down it was gone pretty quickly. Air-conditioning - I believe this was location driven but this was the worst experience of the whole trip. The AC was managed by the hotel and set at 21C; which it never reached. The hotel was informed and they sent a service worker (no English) to unlock the AC and it was set at 19.5C which it never reached. The hotel was informed again and they sent the same guy. The temperature was set to 10C and the guy pointed like that was somehow going to fix the issue. While sleeping we maxed out at 24.5C and minimum was 21.5C. Food (Restaurants) - we only checked out the Italian and the Steak House. Italian seemed to be good and the pasta and tenderloin were done well. The steak house was also a good experience with the exception of the seasoning on the steak. Best steak in the restaurant was the fillet mignon. All other steaks would benefit from seasoning (t-bone, new york, ribeye). Food (buffet) - there was always a lot of selection and the food was what you would expect at a buffet; mediocre to good. Pools - Well taken care of and the kids pool was great.

Loved: - our room (Amber room) and the butler service we had with it (Joao, Rafael and Cristian were great!) - most of the restaurants, good quality and good variety - beds available at the pools for no extra cost (but you had to get up VERY early to ensure you got one) - the adults only pool area was a nice respite from what is a very family friendly resort - friendly and attentive staff (pool waiters were amazing, we never had an empty drink!) - gym was well equipped Could be better: - tennis and basketball courts were out of service - change up the music a bit at the adults only pool (the jazzy covers were ok but not the same songs everyday on repeat) - we wish the Mexican restaurant had been better, everyone we spoke to agreed it was also their least favourite meal, but all the others made up for it (overall food was great!)

Also...no tacos or taco bar!! -The nightly shows were not great with the exception of the fire show. -Poolside music was not great (except when the entertainment staff was doing an activity) Pools- the non-preferred area had 3 pools plus a wading pool. The pools were a decent size and one had a swim up bar. Ideally these would have been all connected as they were all right next to each other. Pools seats were generally available, even if you didn't wake up at dawn to save seats. Food- The poolside grill was limited with burgers, hot dogs, chicken wings, and occasionally a quesadilla as well as chips and guac/salsa. The other lunch option served pizza and some seafood dishes, but not a rotating menu like I would have expected. The buffet was very standard, the only issue here was if you wanted eggs/omelets in the AM it took forever! The dinner restaurant options were Mediterranean (didn't eat here), Asian/Hibachi which was our favorite. We did both options, Luis was our grill master and did an awesome job and the menu options were all great. Italian was okay, everything was very salty, but the risotto balls were pretty good! Me and my husband just returned from our honeymoon there and absolutely loved it! Very impressed and happy with the amount of restaurants and variety of food options (even just within the buffet itself!) We loved the hibachi experience at Spice- our chef was hilarious and put on a great show! The staff was very welcoming and friendly. We stayed in the preferred club and loved our tub on the balcony and adults only pool. The pool, beach, and ocean were all so great and just steps from each other! Our room was spacious, pretty, and comfy and the daily housekeeping was always great. We did a spa day at the resort and did a couples massage where we had great service as well. The resort seems to offer plenty of activities and entertainment and is very family friendly but our happy place was at the pool and our private tub at night :) We already miss the pool and all the food! We will definitely be back! Thank you for an incredible honeymoon. {Personally my biggest complaint/disappointment was not finding many options in the gift shop that had the resort name/logo on it. There was some hats and quite a few men’s shirts with the name, but I was hoping to find a cute women’s tank top or sweatshirt or even a magnet.}

Everything was perfect! The staff was by far the most accommodating and friendly of any all-inclusive I’ve ever stayed at. Edgar in VIP services and gave us a quick tour upon arrival and made sure we had all the info we needed for our stay. He checked in on us daily and took great care of all of our needs. All of the bartenders and wait staff were friendly and seemed to love their jobs. Our room was wonderful and more than I expected. We were in room 4114 which was a great location. The noise was never an issue for us but you can hear activity in the commons area. Close to pools, shops & restaurants. The buffet food was good for a buffet with stations set up for omelets and tacos etc made to order.. We didn’t get a chance to try Spice because you have to make reservations between 3p-4p and we didn’t want to stop what we were doing to make reservations. The other restaurants were great though! And 24 hour room service was useful for the evenings we accidently napped through dinner time after long days in the sun! As other reviews mentioned there aren’t enough chairs at the pool or beach so if that’s important to you get down there early. It wasn’t a major inconvenience for us as we just found a spot near the pool for our stuff until chairs opened up. Puerto Morelos is a $12 taxi ride and was fun to wander around and shop. Very safe! Definitely check it out! We will be back!

Stay time: June 16-22 ROOM; Booked this all inclusive resort for myself and my girlfriend for our one year anniversary. We were very happy with the room situation (preferred king room with ocean view). Room layout included a large living room section, with a king bed and plenty of room to move around. There was a large balcony with a jacuzzi which we did not get the chance to use. Would highly recommend this room to a couple who values each others space (had our own seperate closets and sinks, with a safe). Bidet is also included in the seperate toilet / bathroom section of the room with its own sink. Room came complete with a mini fridge that was stocked with 4 Dos Equis’s every day, two bottles of water, as well as regular and Diet Coke. You can always request more from room service. The preferred section of the resort is adults only and has access to premium alcohol (only one bar in the lounge area, indoors) as well as a seperate pool area from the family side, along with private beach access also seperate from the family side. RESORT EXPERIENCE: Despite being a adults only + family resort, the family side was a ton of fun with activities and events happening every day with specific areas for younger kids to participate in day care and teenagers to play games like ping pong, video games and pool. The family aspect did not inhibit our experience whatsoever and most parents with kids were very fun. If anything it made the experience even more enjoyable.

Dreams Jade is a beautiful resort. Details matter and this resort delivered on that! The beds are so comfortable! When we arrived at our room (we did not have any upgraded package) we were greeted with a plate a chocolate covered fruits welcoming us and the same for our last night! All of the pools are heated and they are right by the beach which makes for a beautiful view. You don’t need to make reservations at the restaurants which I really loved bc most other resorts require that. They didn’t pressure us into purchasing excursions/time shares. Staff always greeted us with a smile. Room service was great- although very late once but rectified the issue. They also have a fun kids club with activities all day and a separate teen zone (just wish my kids could have enjoyed the teen zone but they are just a couple of years too young). It is a bit smaller than other resorts I’ve stayed at but that makes it so much easier to navigate the grounds, especially when you have two children and they’re hungry or you’re coming back from an excursion at night. The sargassum was present at our beach and though we were not able to get in the water, we were able to stroll the beach and enjoy the view from the pool.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Posada el Moro. the grounds were interesting and well kept. Our room was clean and nice, bed was comfortable bathroom and shower were fine. good in-room safe and refrigerator. good airconditioning and ceiling fan good flat screen TV. pool was pretty clean and nice. staff was friendly and helpful. Location was good just a short walk to the dock the town square and the beach. Many restaurants close by some that we found walking on the beach cooked fresh fish caught that day we really enjoyed the fish it was delicious. We liked the beach there better than when we were in Cancun it was much easier to swim there. We also took a cab to the Crococun zoo and enjoyed seeing the spider monkeys and others animals there. Puerto Morelos was also a good place to shop for souvenirs.

Our stay was excellent. We were warmly welcomed to the hotel and accompanied to our room instead of just getting the key and finding our way. Pool and room were clean. Free breakfast of fresh fruit, coffee or tea, orange juice, and toast was good. We added eggs and beans to breakfast for an additional minimal charge. Location is 1 1/2 blocks from the beach and 1/2 block from the center square of town. Many excellent restaurants and shops within walking distance. Next time I will book the hotel transportation from the airport in advance. Staff is friendly and helpful. Air conditioning worked well. Free bottled water in room. Will definitely stay here again!

I booked two nights at Hotel el Moro as part of a last-minute switch and it surpassed my expectations. The hotel is perfectly located near the center of Puerto Morelos, but just far enough from the nightlife noises. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable and, just below the large balcony of the second-story rooms, there is a sizable pool. There's also a wonderful, large palapa on the roof, perfect for catching a sunset before dinner! The staff and owners of the hotel are incredibly helpful, welcoming, and kind. Don't miss the delicious, generous breakfast served beneath the cool, shady trees each morning. Recommended!

I have this hotel excellent ratings. I would like to mention to readers it is not the Ritz or Hilton by far, due to the age of the property, however, the courteous staff, location and onsite pool cannot be beat on this strip of Javier Rojo Gomez. It is very true to the old days of Puerto, when there was a dirt road leading into the portside from the highway, that was my first visit to Puerto in the 80's. We booked a return trip before we checked out. The staff is very helpful.

Our flight from Paris to Cancun was delayed and we were actually supposed to drive to Playa del Carmen but we decided to book a night in this little hotel on the way, as we weren’t sure about the streets at night in Mexico. The hotel is located really close to the airport but we didn’t hear a noise all night. We had a nice little room with a double bed and a single bed. Sergio the host welcomed us and made sure we had everything available. We had a nice sleep and woke up and had a nice homemade breakfast. On our way back to the airport we had to wait almost 6 hours and instead of waiting at the airport we decided to try and ask if we could stay there at the restaurant or by the pool. Sergio was super nice and said there was no issue. One of us was also feeling sickish (from the day before not from anything eaten there, very important!!) and he offered also a homemade remedy which actually worked like a charm and she survived the 8 hours flight without feeling sick!! So we just had the perfect time there waiting, instead of at a noisy airport, we waited there by the pool and it was just the best solution. We definitely advised coming here for a very welcoming and familiar feeling. The food was also delicious!

Staff was sooooo amazing and hospitable. They went out of their way to help us settle in and made food for my vegan husband and also my one year old kid. This was a stopover to the airport and the noise was totally fine for us, no big deal. Our fave part was the monkeys that came to the pool in the afternoon around 5pm ish!!! We were lounging in the pool when a family of monkeys came to visit us it was amazing!

After being in the city for a week and so many people and noise this was the most wonderful way to end my trip. They allowed me to check in early and stay until the last check out time. The family / staff here were extremely friendly and accommodating! There is some road noise but if you choose to just listen to the sounds of the trees and birds , you will not notice. I felt safe and respected, as a solo female here for the day and night. Very close to the airport and the food was delicious and great value. Nothing is high end and some not brand new but it is so cozy and inviting ! Don't come in expecting a large menu full of options. All is made in house and is delicious . The location, accommodations, pool, environment and staff are fabulous value for the cost. I will definitely be coming back when I come to Quintana Roo again !

This had its share of missing ‘things’ (no milk or cream for coffee, cool shower, communication issues as we both massacred each others’ language!), but that is to be expected in many countries that aren’t Canada. Overall, I booked it because it was what I was looking for: near the airport, not a resort, small but with a pool, cure bar and decor, food (tho’ too much meat for a vegetarian- good thing I love rice & beans!). Reception/wait staff were kind and helpful. Room was great. Comfy bed! Since I got ripped off that the airport to get to the hotel, it was a much-needed bonus to have them give me a ride back. Gracias!

Bed super big and comfy, pillows and all. Free coffee all day and a little arrival gift (water bottles). TV with loads of channels.

Incredible value and 5-Star staff! A 2-minute walk from the outlet and 15 minute drive from the international airport this modern hotel was ideally placed and priced for our family of 4 completing our holiday in Mexico. The restaurant, bar and pool were wonderful amenities that were actually resort level. My kiddos loved the pool and outdoor pool, while my husband and I were grateful for the restaurant and bar conveniently on the first floor. Will definitely be our go-to airport selection.

The Avani Airport Hotel stands out as an excellent choice for travelers looking for a place to stay close to the airport. The hotel prides itself on well-maintained rooms and facilities, ensuring a comfortable and stress-free experience for its guests. A standout feature is the complimentary airport transport provided on the hour, making transitions to and from the airport seamless and convenient. For those with some time to spare, the hotel's proximity to an outlet mall is a plus, offering an easy option for shopping or simply passing the time. The hotel's amenities, including the gym and pool, are well-appointed and add value to the stay, although it's worth noting that the promotional photos, particularly of the common areas, might give the impression of more spaciousness than is the case in reality. I needed a hotel stay for 1 night in Cancun since I was flying into Cancun, but I was heading to another destination. It took me 11 minutes of driving time from the airport and was easy to get to. The check in was smooth, the room.was clean and exactly as pictured, and all the staff from the parking attendant ( we had a rental car), to the reception to the bartender, waitstaff was all courteous. I needed a last min item I forgot to pack, and there is a mall literally across the street, where I had shopping options. I felt safe the whole time. The bartenders were making delicious drinks, and the morning buffecthads a great selection. I had the pool area to myself as I went for a dip early. It is family-friendly .as well. For a 1 night stay, we had a great time.

Very convenient hotel close to the airport, they offer free transfer. The rooms are nice and clean, there is a small pool. The breakfast was great with a lot of variety, we ate at the restaurant for lunch and the food was delicious. There is a big outlet shopping mall just in front of the hotel with a food court as well.

This was our 2nd stay at Desire Pearl and they "wowed" us once again. The staff goes above and beyond to get to know us by name, they are extremely attentive and friendly, and they welcome you wholeheartedly into the Desire family. The experience is just what we prefer and have already booked our next visit. This property offers something for everyone. You can enjoy all the "fun" of the quiet side or spend the day by the swim up bar and DJ, playing in couples games with the playmakers.

Desire Pearl is an excellent adult only resort as it is also clothing optional. There are a variety of rooms types to chose from with varying prices. Being all inclusive you only need to pay extra for activities over and above – like massages, bottles of wine, yacht trips, special meals, etc. Highly recommend using USA Transfer to get to and from the airport ($100) as no transportation is needed after you get to the resort. The main pool is large and deck chairs can be reserved. Pool also has a swim up pool bar – but suggest bringing your own drink holders (like a yeti cup). Three restaurants are available for food. After 4PM most folks move to the large hot tub (also has a swim up bar) where extra-curricular activity is allowed and you can see couples being intimate on the beds around the hot tub or in the hot tub. Upon arrival each couple will be assigned their personal butler who will assist you every day. You will be asked to sit through their sales pitch to become regular members – which is worth it if you plan to visit at least once a year. There is a theme for each night activities so plan to bring appropriate outfits. The nightly floor shows are always enjoyable.

We just returned from our first stay at Desire Pearl. What was excellent: Staff - friendly, professional, hardworking, and always on point Dining - all three restaurants are very good; fresh and tasty offerings Spa - beautiful, with a variety of services. Couples massages highly recommended! Pool - the daytime spot to be, either on the party side or the quiet side. Swim-up bar is lovely. Jacuzzi - the evening/night gathering spot; also has a swim-up bar Entertainment - daytime activities, nightly themed parties and shows. Playmaker staff does an excellent job running events and getting guests involved What wasn't great: A/C - no central air in the common areas, so the club, restaurants, lobby, etc were all uncomfortably hot. We left the evening party/nightclub early every night, though the events were great. It was just too hot. I understand that the temperature is much more tolerable in the high season, but room rates are also more expensive. Beach - Seaweed currently (as of June 2025) prevents getting into the ocean. You can walk further down the beach, away from the property, to useable beach areas. A note about the vibe: Most guests are aged 40+ and many are premier members who stay frequently and already know the other regular guests. Everyone is friendly and nice, but there are cliques that can be tough to infiltrate. I would call this resort laid back compared to others of its kind. Most wild activity takes place between midnight and dawn.

traveled for wifes birthday and the staff went above and beyond for her special day. First would like to thank Gaby for her always attentive pool service. She knew it was wifes birthday the next day and she was working aphrpodites in that time and when we showed up she had a special table and menu for her. Daniel the guest services manager also gave us a vip poolbed for the day and a special dinner. Lots of others I want to mention that also went above and beyond in their service. Desire Pearl is an amazing resort, with an incredible staff, and a truly unique, sensual experience. Adults only, couples only fun from the minute you arrive until you have to go home. Rooms are very nice and extremely well-maintained. Two pools and a jacuzzi with bars everywhere! Start with check-in, all smiling faces- Mariana and Leonardo checked us in and immediately upgraded our room. The bell staff is prompt and attentive. Luggage was held and delivered to our room when it was ready. Pool staff is great, Horacio, Antonio, and Jorge take care of every need. Pool wait staff is fun and friendly. Bartenders are efficient and having fun- Saul, Jorge, Eddy make the pool and the disco better! The wait staff provides excellent service, five star all the way! Mayrani, Elena, Poot, Belen, and Jorge are wonderful. The playmakers are keep games fun and the action moving at the pools! The highlights are Candise and Kia! Private snorkeling trip with Adolfo was incredible! Desire Pearl is an amazing resort that has a little something for every adult. Take things fast or take things slowly, you will not regret this trip!

Ventus is where we stayed and was an active pool but the main pool wasn’t a party pool. There is also an infinity pool and adults only pool on the Ventus property. Ventus Ha had two rooftop adult only pools and at least one, maybe two ground level pools. This is a great place to watch sunset and for a view over the entire area. Our room had a semi private pool that wrapped around our building and was where we spent all our time. Food was good. Coffee shop is great and our family loved the lunch buffet, especially the tacos, ceviche, and the crepes. Marina and Koko were our favorite restaurants. Make dinner reservations for those two restaurants as soon as you arrive on property. There are shows every night. We enjoyed the Latin dance, magic and fire shows. The staff is exceptional!! So kind, cheerful, and hard working. They were a great example of service hearts.

First time at an all inclusive so didn’t know what to expect. After 1 week being at the property I would go back to this location. First, the area is huge - this was confusing at the start but after a few days we got the hang of it. The hotel did try and upcharge us for a different room for 50$usd a night but we declined as we didn’t need to be closer to the pool. The hotel is connected with 2 other properties, so you have access to those restaurants and pools. The images on Expedia might include those from the other hotels, same with amenities. Marina is the hotel that everything happens at during the day, a lot more energy. If you want quiet look at the other two locations. Second, food options were great at all restaurants and we were always able to book a restaurant for evenings. Third, staff was very friendly everywhere from front desk to housekeeping etc. Fourth, it was clean. AC wasn’t super cold but was adequate and there was a fan in our room. No issues with temperature because of this. Fifth, Be Aware: we got a double queen room (fam of 4) and one bed was a queen, one bed was a Murphy bed. Much harder mattress and more uncomfortable. Our kids slept on the drop down bed so wasn’t an issue but I was expecting 2x full queens so I was surprised about this and feel it should be made known before hand. Lastly, beach is meh as other say too… we swam in the water but it’s nothing to be focused on. There’s lots of pools so no stress. Overall, 5* I would bring fam back!!

We have now been to El Cid twice with the whole family and we are already planning another trip back. Love this resort so much. The staff is amazingly kind, the food options are phenomenal, the pools are fun, drinks are plentiful. Can’t think of a single thing we would change. This place is so huge, each time we come we discover new restaurants and bars and pools and spas that we didn’t know were there. The night life is fun and entertaining. The views are spectacular but honestly their beaches aren’t the best for swimming. A little rocky and seaweedy. Didn’t bother us (we are more pool people) but we did take an excursion from the resort to do some snorkeling and swim in the cenotes. El Cid hits all of our marks and I can’t wait to go back!!

This was our first time staying at this resort and we were very impressed. The food and restaurant options were fantastic—even the buffet had a great selection. The resort itself is beautiful with plenty of activities to enjoy every day. We especially loved being able to visit the other sister resorts and use their amenities, which was great when we wanted a quieter atmosphere. One thing we didn’t love was the lack of enforcement around chair saving. Guests would reserve chairs before 7 a.m. and not return until 10, leaving no availability for those who came later. It would be nice if the one-hour policy was better enforced. We visited during a cooler time in Riviera Maya (April), so the weather was less humid—but that also meant the pool water was quite cold. The family Jacuzzi was slightly warmer than the pool but still not hot enough to feel like a proper Jacuzzi. The one at Ventus Ha was much better in that regard. Parillada was a highlight—such a great outdoor space with entertainment, which is always best when the weather is nice. We purchased the Platinum package, which was a nice upgrade. However, it would be more convenient if Platinum-level drinks were available outside of the lounge/lobby area. Having to walk back to the lobby and stay there to enjoy them felt limiting. We absolutely loved our stay at this property. We went for our five year anniversary/honeymoon (since we got married during COVID and weren't allowed to travel). When we got there five hours before check in time, were upgraded to the Ventus Ha hotel and allowed to go straight to our room. The room was beautiful and modern and spacious and the room was cleaned every single day, which was so nice. The staff was all amazing. You had access to all the amenities at all three resorts (Ventus, Ventus Ha and Marina El Cid) including the pools, hot tubs and dining at all three. The restaurants were so yummy, especially the French one. The buffet changed their food every day, which was nice. And when we were sitting on the beach or pool deck, waitress would come to us and bring us drinks without even asking. It was such an amazing experience, so relaxing, we'd definitely stay again. Also, we didn't bring our kids this time but the kids club is open from 7am-9pm, so we'll definitely bring our kids next time around. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone.

We really enjoyed our time at Velas Condos. The condo is a 1-minute walk away from a beautiful beach, friendly and responsive management, plus there's an adjacent Paradise Beach Club (you get free drinks on the first day). If you're loking to prepare your own lunch/dinner, the kitchen does the job. The pool is clean and we enjoyed to go swimming at Riviera Maya and plunging into our pool. Sandra, the manager, helped us book an amazing and comparatively inexpensive snorkeling tour, which started off right at our bech. The small market square and restaurants are within 5-7 minute walking distance. Don't park at the condo's curbside as we drove over glass and had a flat tire. Sandra and a friendly cab driver helped change the tire (as the nuts were totally rosted). By the way -- this has little to do with Velas Condos -- I would not rent a car again. Our experience with Europcar was not good at all, and we ended up booking bus trips to multiple sights (Maya and Cenotes), and not using our crappy rental car. Condos Velas is really a great location in Puerto Morelos, and we would come again.

My wife and I stayed at Velas Condos for the last week of November of 2019 and it was awesome. The rooms were clean, the staff were very efficient and friendly and the two pools were nice when you didn't feel like going down to the beach or relaxing by in the evening. Everything you need is a 5-10 minute walk away; which we did at night and still felt safe. But what really turned the rating from good to excellent on this property was Betza. Betza is the lady who works at the front desk; she is absolutely amazing. Friendly, accommodating and always had a smile on her face. She helped us in so many ways; where to eat, where to site see, and was happy to sit with us and talk about Mexico. Thank you so much Betza for making our stay so memorable!!!

Loved the place. Cute condo. Nice pool. Close to beach. Within walking distance of everything. Only problem was that safe was broken. We were told someone was coming to fix it on Monday. No one ever came. Also one night my husband locked himself out of the condo while sweeping sand up from our floor (we did not use housekeeping services). There was no condo staff on the premises at that time. Only a security guard. He did not have keys to get in. He called someone who managed to work the lock and we paid him $20 USD.

We loved our stay at Velas Condos. We had the City View apartment. We loved the layout of the apartment and it included everything we needed. It has beach access, a pool, and is still a nice walk into town. The bed was super comfortable and the apartment was very quiet (with the exception of a small pump noise going every few seconds, which we got use to). The staff were very friendly and super helpful! We will definitely stay here again.

My wife and I had a great time, all the people on staff are very helpful and friendly. Everything in the apartment was clean and in good working condition. The area by the pool is well set up with chairs and a kitchenette. Great location, few steps to the beach, if you like walking or riding a bike this is the town for you.

We are scuba divers and their is an excellent dive ship attached to the hotel, "OM Delfin". The guest rooms are large, two double beds, and cleaned daily. There is was a safe. Air Conditioning worked well. Nice large shower. The pool and beach areas are great! There are lounge chairs available at both pool and beach areas. Beach towels are provided for the week (but must leave a deposit, the deposit is refunded when you return the towels). Staff superb! There is a restaurant beside the hotel, Muelle Once, Outstanding food! In short walking distance to a large grocery store, pharmacy, little souvenir shops, money exchange, the town square, many small restaurants in the area. Everything is here!

My room location was perfect. Ocean view. Back door straight to pool, sea and restaurant.Restaurant served very good food. Bed was fairly comfortable with clean, fresh linens. Surprised to have hot water in shower. Bathroom and entire room was clean. Clean towels. Very nice market across the street with fresh bakery, sushi , hand dipped ice cream and Mexican food being prepared. Bar staff served drinks and appetizers by sea and pool. Local restaurants with good food within walking distance. I was a woman traveling solo and felt very safe in motel and walking in town.

awesome location, great private beach at the end of the strip. no other hotels in the area. the beach is yours. lots of loungers on the beach. pool was great not crowded. all rooms have either a view, a balcony, or poolside. rooms were simple but clean. make sure you get a fridge. the big supermarket is right across the road which has everything and good prices.

Fabulous location, on the beach front and towards the quiet southern end of the beach. Also close to everything you need in town. Large room with added bonus of a fridge. Comfortable bed. Amazing sea views from the balcony. Decent pool and good number of parasols and sunbeds by the pool and loads of these on the beach.

The room with sea view and terrace was amazing, pool lovely, staff super friendly and really helpful. Great location, comfortable beds, good restaurant. Best hotel we stayed in during our 3 weeks travel in Yucatan. Also Puero Morelos is the best beach location we had (we went to Tulum, Cancun and Akumal, but we could never have afforded to stay in a beachfront hotel there). Staff at Areia are awesome! The pool has a beautiful view. The restaurant/bar and staff are awesome! We had one of the penthouse rooms and it was very nice. We enjoyed the lounge chairs on the lanai and it had a plunge pool We read previous reviews and knew the elevator wasn't working which is fine, we typically use the stairs. There was a refrigerator and safe in the room so that was very helpful. It was a bummer that the water available to all was in the lobby and there was no ice machine or ice available. Wifi worked fine. The TV had Netflix available if you logged in. There were some other free options which was nice. The breakfast was pastries which was fine (again we read prior reviews so that was helpful to know). We aren't coffee drinkers-the coffee machine in the lobby looked adequate. At night, you could hear the loud music from the restaurant/bar behind the hotel. We stayed a week and the music seemed to stop later on the weekends. The location is perfect for us-easily walkable to restaurants, bars, the beach, the grocery store-everything! We will definitely return.

The room service food was a bit bland but it would do, but overall great! So many options for food! Services was overall very good and very helpful staff Used the spa the massages were brilliant! The spa was nice too! Rooms were cleaned and mini bar was replenished every day very well! The alcohol dispensers were disappointing as they didn’t dispense much to none. Echo friendly but that meant they only had bar soap for body. Good shampoo and treatment. Pool was never too crowded so much space and wasn’t fighting over a sunbed. Child friendly. The bath in the room as clean and the jets were clean. Golf carts to get around and shuttle buses to lobby to lobby. There are many animals around the resort but clauses no problems. Staff were never pushy for tips which was nice so we could give them in our own time and when we thought they deserved a tip. Pools a mostly clean small debree on the floors but they can’t help that from the tree leaves ect falling in all the time. Cafe was great sweet treats coffee and tea all for free ans good!! Are allowed in the pool at night at your own risk! Overall would highly recommended this hotel for family and friends to go to! Great hotel!

Pros: Friendly and attentive staff in the restaurants. Food was good. Kids enjoyed the pool and kids playroom. Improvements: The water in our shower had a bit of a smell to it. Pool side service was generally slow. Mildew seen around the edges of the pool.

My family and I stayed at this resort for a week. The staff were friendly and attentive at all the pool bars, restaurants, shops and even those driving the golf carts. The Italian restaurant Trattoria was def our favorite. My kids loved the food and i particularly loved their expresso martinis. There was entertainment at the pools and at night. What we felt was missing was more entertainment activities such as silent discos, live music because there was times we didn’t have much to do after the family shows. It was pretty quiet

Staff was wonderful. From the moment we arrived at everyone was friendly and accomodating. Our room was lovely and very conveniently located near everything on property. Emir was our attendant at the pool and beach each day and was very attentive and prompt to provide food and beverage upon our request. We purchased the all inclusive option and nothing we every requested incured an additional charge. Cocktails were as expected (better than at most large AI resorts) Food was hit or miss. We enjoyed the ceviches and guacamole plus breakfast, but Al Mare, Italian was not to our liking, despite ordering multiple appetizers and entree options. The steak was flavorful, on RoMarley's dinner menu, but was more of a compressed roast, noy a true filet or cut you would fine in the US. Desserts are alwasy a miss for us in Mexisco, so I won't judge them for lacking there. The Jamacian patties are similar to the emenadas, possibly only differing in that the patties have curry. Both are delicious and we ordered them with every meal. My phone was unfortunately stolen out of my bag, by the pool. This happend early evening on a Saturday.The staff was very helpful in looking over security footage to try and locate the thief, but it wasn't a guest or employee and they were seen immediately exiting the property via the beach, after taking it. Although they weren't able to retrieve my device, the general manager filed an insurance claim so I should receive compensation for my replacement.

Property was very nice and clean. The occupancy was low, there were not all dining options open for entire trip. We bought the all inclusive option, it was limited. Staff seemed stretched and limited, there was a tropical storm that came through. They were very nice in spite of this. We would stay again.. Only one pool open, roof top infinity pool/bar restaurant closed for repair.

This hotel was absolutely amazing. From the moment I walked up the stairs I was blown away. Was beautiful in every way. The staff went above and beyond and were so friendly. The breakfast we got included in our stay was exquisite. The views were magnificent, and the room that we got took my breath away. The most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on and the balcony was huge. The rooftop pool and the beach were amazing. I never wanted to leave. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Only 10 minutes walk away from town, which was perfect to get the steps in after dinner. I can’t say enough about this amazing place. Thank you so much.

Wow where do we begin. This is our 2nd time coming to The Fives Oceanfront because we loved it so much and our 2nd time was even better than our first. Everything was wonderful, the beach, the pool, the food, our room, but none of this would be possible with the STAFF they’re the ones who make this resort AMAZING. To name a few of the people who took care of us Erick, Emir, George, Baldo, Carlos, Angel, Luisa, Moses/Moises!! We came with our 2 kids ages (4) & (9months) and they all were so caring and patient with us. Can’t wait to come back again.

Architecture outstanding and effective. (Art in motion) Great staff and we took the breakfast plan, as we also enjoyed eating local cuisine. Only negative was the cleanliness of the main pool which also required a handrail. We do plan to return to the Fives.

The hotel is way more characterful than I expected. It's really beautifully done with lovely furnishings. There is also a big roof terrace with loungers that overlooks the mangroves and it feels very gorgeous and jungly. The location is just a few minutes from all the nice restaurants and the beach but it's quiet at night, we slept really well. The staff were lovely and friendly and the rooms were spotlessly clean.

It has everything we expected. We checked in at midnight and checked out early in the morning. The young receptionist at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We appreciate his friendliness and patience. The rooms are very clean.

Arrived late at night. Upon arrival, attendant had our reservation but the rate was higher than we originally booked. I showed him my email with the price and he agreed to charge us what we had agreed on originally.

Staff at hotel is very service oriented and helped with any of our needs and beyond. Every service also done with smiles and friendly words! The staff is the best!

this was a very nice hotel. I had fantastic views from my room to the sunrise and the ocean. They have a beach club that serves ice food, and cocktails and plays nice music (too loud sometimes). The bed in the room was very comfy and the bathroom was big a nice with a power shower. The location is great right in front of the beach and next to the main road but without getting noisy. The staff were friendly and really nice. Jesus greeted us upon arrival and was very accommodating. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool area was quiet and wonderful. We look forward to returning soon!

Overall, the resort was very nice. Positives: Big room, good housekeeping, quick check in, golf cart transportation, excellent gym (this is my third stay at Iberostar resorts and they have excellent gym in all of them), lots of activities by the pool, bar in the lobby. Breakfast was wholesome and good. Waking up to the sight of a beautiful peacock that sat on our balcony every morning was heavenly and as close to nature one can get. An excellent eco-friendly resort. Negatives: No elevators, so people who cannot climb up and down to and from the third floor, 3 to 4 times a day, should choose lower floors. Entertainment not as good as Iberostar Rose Hall, Monetgo Bay. It is difficult to get reservations in many restaurants, particularly the French and Brazillian restaurants - we never got to eat there. Tilapia is the only fish served most of the time, no matter which restaurant one chooses to go to - same with grilled meat. Buffet lunch is mostly the same in all restaurants. Service at the swim-up bar is pathetically slow - this has been reported endless times by other reviewers, but they still have only one person serving about 20 people at any given time. The bar in the lobby is good. But I have no clue why they cannot serve some nuts/chips with drinks. It will probably cost a few extra $, but it will earn a lot of goodwill. In sum, I think, the resort is good value for money.

My husband and I booked Iberostar Paraíso Beach initially, but we ended up "upgrading" to a beach front room at Del Mar when we checked in. I did love our beach front room, the location ended up being perfect. We were close to the pool, beach, and the lunch buffet, nice and convenient. We were disappointed in a couple experiences, mainly the freezing cold pool and the nonexistent service pool side and beach side. Maybe we've been spolied at other all inclusive locations, as our prior experiences had wait staff pool side with opportunities to order food and drinks. At Iberostar you have to go to the bar for your own drinks and there are VERY minimal snacks at the beachside food shack, which you also need to go and serve yourself. If you're looking for more spoils perhaps this resort won't be for you. I can only speak for the resort we stayed at, as there are 5 resorts on the entire property, with three different levels. Maybe the higher levels would have better service? Overall we had a blast, we always do regardless. I would not book here again though, not at the lower level resorts anyway.

We paid an extra $25USD/day to be in Block 34—closer to the pool and beach. Worth it? Great for when you need quick multiple room stops throughout the day. 🛏 Room: Bed = firm. AC = optimistic. Sleep = achieved. 🍴 Food: Buffets = solid, loved the dinner theme nights. Beach burgers & fries hit the spot. Brazilian à la carte = ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Smokehouse = concept cool, food meh (empanadas saved it). 🥂 Staff: Entertainment team is awesome. Special shout-outs to Karen (friendly), Gabriel (fun), Ishmael (lobby bar strawberry daiquiri wizard) and Chef Alfredo at the main buffet. 🌊 Beach & Pools: White sand, salty pools (bring floaties). Chairs get “reserved” early. Sargassum season —the tractors do their best. 👟 Resort size: Huge. You’ll hit 10,000 steps daily unless you prefer to wait for the shuttles. 👶👨‍👩‍👦 Guests: Lots of kids and Europeans- Spanish, German and British. Overall: Big, tropical resort with lots of local animals and birds, great food, friendly staff, and a side of seaweed. Bring comfy shoes, download the app for booking restaurants (7am) and getting updates on when your room has been cleaned.

Just returned from a week at the resort with friends. Large walkable resort that also has golf carts running throughout the grounds for those requiring a ride. Always found room at the pool or beach prior to 9am. There is a good section out front with no rocks in the ocean available for everyone to enjoy. Bar and beach grill open daily and right at the beach. Pool was a little dirty as there is lots of vegetation around so spent most of our time at the ocean. 2 recommendations… coffee or a continental breakfast down near the beach as you have to go all the up to the buffet to get a morning java. Also, only 1 place to get towels and it’s by the pool. A towel shack near the beach would be great.

This resort is actually insanely beautiful. no pictures give it justice. All the staff members were so nice and helpful. they all made us feel welcome with smiles and helped us navigate the huge resort. We met so many of the staff members like Jesus and Jose from the front desk and Antonio on the pool games and margarita in the buffet. everyone was so sweet, and we felt well taken care of. The pool game was phenomenal. The food was great. The buffets have better tasting food than most of the restaurants we went too. we are all picky eaters and big foodies. There are some notes though. If you have resort credits from an Expedia package for example... 300$ in resort credit is basically given to you in 25$ increments... so you need to spend 100$ then you get 25 $ from the resort credit... we didn't use any of it... complete waste. The seaweed was insane this time of year so unfortunately, we could not enjoy the water. There were also some staff members hitting on us the whole time which was a bit uncalled for but nothing we couldn't handle. we were able to get adjacent rooms because of the nice front desk staff members that was for sure a plus that made our trip so special. Jasmine from the crepe shop was so cool ! she was great at her job and was talking to us the whole time.

And then the privilege pool which was lovely and even a kids pool which we didn’t use, but which had the best snack bar. The transportation hub and valet team were great too and the restaurants were all better than average and the buffet provided plenty of options.

It's a beautiful resort. Loved the chill out pool area and the main pool was nice too both pool areas are spacious. We never had an issue finding lounge chairs either. I'm not sure if it's the time of year or not, but no issues finding chairs for us. We absolutely loved the coffee shop! The food was really good. Everything was tasty. The room was very comfortable. We enjoyed the activities and shows at night. Loved that it had a small bowling alley too.

Whole resort was awsome. Kids play pool, relaxing pool and pool with the bar. Buffet restaurant was so delicious and big range of food. Every day slightly different. So good. All drinks delicious. Very good holidays for us.

Such an amazing experience at this beautiful facility! Staff were incredible. Extremely attentive right from the start!! Went above and beyond for us…. From start to finish, the entire trip was great! The pool was very clean, the rooms were super comfy - the food was good. Stepping out the patio doors into the pool, and the beach was a minute away! Pool was great, the room was spacious. The a/c, wifi and fridge worked well. Beach towels provided.

Arriving by car requires a gps as the property is not really signed well. Once there, the parking was adequate but this was a slow period. You don’t really need a car though, as many restaurants are within easy walking distance as is the town centre. Reception went smoothly and I must recommend Ernesto, who made signing in a pleasant experience. He was especially helpful with my ferry booking to Cozumel and other essential necessities as I had just flown to Cancun that day. All of the employees there made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived. The room was small and didn’t have a chair to sit on but the AC worked fine and the balcony was a good size. There is no safe for valuables either in the room or at reception, but I felt very safe leaving passport, cards and cash in my backpack in the room while I was out. The beach out front had enough loungers if you started early and was mostly free of sargassum sea weed. Water temp this time of year is quite warm and wet suits are not necessary. Unfortunately the snorkeling is not great as there isn’t any coral close by. The pool area had lots of available chairs,etc. and there is an outside shower. The included breakfast was especially good. Lots of fresh fruit, orange juice, coffee and a large main course. There are two choices, but I only had the omelet which was excellent and very filling. Paula, the waitress, spoke English well, was very efficient and really pleasant.

The hotel staff is amazing. The rooms and very clean and kept really cold. The pool is small but relaxing and never busy. The beach club access with free beach chairs is an awesome bonus! Stephanie the waitress at the beach is the BEST! Always fresh water at the front desk to fill your cup which was nice. The only thing I think I would change or recommend is to offer a bottle of water or two in each mini fridge. Everything far exceeeds our expectations every time. It’s our favorite little sanctuary!

It is in an excellent location, with several restaurants within walking distance. Also has restaurant/bar on site. Clean pool.

We were impressed by the resort's efforts to preserve the beach area despite the challenges posed by nature. The staff worked hard, often by hand, to maintain the resort. We had great service and good food and drinks. Everyone was friendly and willing to help. The swim-up bar had the best daily drink specials, even for non-alcoholic drinks. Room maintenance requests were fixed within the day when done via their app, and our butler, Didier, was very helpful when we request for his assistance. The entertainment team was friendly, but activity updates were inconsistent. We enjoyed the different dining options, with La Parrilla and Rue de Rivoli being our favorites. The pools were a great alternative when the ocean was off-limits. The only downside was the pushy timeshare presentation during check-in.

My wife and I travel for a sunny vacation each year - always in the general Riviera Maya area. Have stayed at the Bahia Principe Sian Kahn several times. We typically book adults only resorts - we're empty nesters. My two cents worth on this resort Food - 3.5 out of 5 (it was OK, just not great even for all inclusive palates) Service - 4.5 out of 5 (no complaints - kudos to all the staff working hard) Spa - 5 out of 5 (great staff and services, love the access to the private pool area) Room - 4.5 out of 5 (pretty standard king suite, as advertised) Beach - 3.5 out of 5 (not the best if you are looking for a beach vacation....we knew ahead of time that it wasn't great and were OK with that. We prefer the pool with a view of the beach) Pool - 3.75 out of 5 (nice pools, cabanas are a plus for $$, busy and very hard to get loungers) My one irritation of many resorts, including this one - maybe it's an irritation about inconsiderate people - but the whole practice of reserving pool lounge chairs at 7am is out of hand. Even at the adult pool.....there was a couple there for 5 days who reserved chairs by 7am and did not actually use them until they finished their day trips at 4pm. That said - there is one pool on the property that is tucked away and no one uses. It's super quiet and lots of lounge chairs - but, don't expect frequent server visits or music/entertainment.

Entertainment at the hotel is the best we’ve had of all the all inclusives we’ve visited. ULISES, JACKIE AND RICKY in particular made our families stay with their warm approach to getting us involved. There was always something going on pool side in the day. Breakfast was average. Lots of choice but more catered towards US tastes I think. Lunches were fab at the pool and at the pool side fish restaurant. Dinner was good at the steakhouse (parilla) and the kids enjoyed the sushi. I’d say the Italian and French were below par. The menu at the Mexican did not appeal to us. Best steak was def ribeye. And potato soup starter is a must. Big thank you to David, the rep at amstar for organising an excellent jungle tour excursion. Such fun! The staff in the restaurants and poolside were very helpful.

The grounds at the Hyatt Ziva were beautiful. The pools were fun and clean and the rooms were clean and large. The beds were very comfortable. But, the hotel is not smoke-fee. Several guests were smoking and vaping near and in the pools. Also, the buffet is quite small. And, the Japanese restaurant had to have reservations for the show. There were no reservations for the five nights we were there but the one night we ate at a regular table, there were only 4 guests even though the table was set up for 12. The food there was great as welll as at Habeneros. Jose and Mercado were wonderful pool bartenders and Edwin and Candy at Habenros made our vacation memorable and fun!

Nice big room with fridge and safe. Large terrace on 1st floor overlooking the pool, beach & sea. Bathroom a little dated but clean and functional with large shower and lots of hot water. Great location with beach access and plenty of sun loungers round pool and on beach for exclusive use. Great restaurant attached to hotel (Meulle Once) super location and tasty food. Walking distance to everywhere. A great place to stay at a reasonable price.

Traveled to Cancun-Puerto Morelos with my family including a child. The location is excellent, very walkable, across the street from a grocery store and plentiful dining options. The facilities need repair, our door to room 303 had a big crack with a gap you could see through. I was tempted to fix it myself with wood filler, but settled with covering the crack with a cushion when we were inside. There’s a water pressure problem, but this might be related to the area rather than just the hotel. I’m Mexican so I had no trouble communicating in Spanish and had an idea of what to expect. The pool got dirty 1 day but was cleaned quickly and ready the next day. The quick and easy access to the beach cannot be beat. Wish the complimentary coffee service lasted till 10am, it was usually gone by 8am. My family and I enjoyed our 4 night stay and would definitely return.

Hacienda Morelos was the perfect spot for us to enjoy a quick stop in Puerto Morelos. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by friendly staff and a gorgeous view of the aqua blue Caribbean. The beach was only a few steps away and they have a lovely pool. We ate twice at the attached restaurant and I cannot stress enough how delicious it was! Staff at the restaurant were top notch. Our only regret is that we couldn’t have stayed longer!

This is not a high end luxury resort, but that’s not what we wanted. Our room was clean, modernized, and comfortable, (though all rooms have only double beds, no king or queen size). Best of all, we had a balcony the overlooked the pool and straight out to the Caribbean Sea. It was blissful to just simply sit on the balcony watching th sea and listening to the waves. There is a wonderful restaurant with full bar on site.

Hotel has basics needed for a comfortable stay. Water must be obtained on the lobby. Staff are kind and helpful, and the hotel is kept clean. Beds were firm and comfortable. The views from beachfront are amazing and you can sleep with the windows open listening to the surf outside your door. Nice refinished pool with lounge chairs, loungers on the beach and beach towels are provided. We will return to this hotel.

Check-in and check-out was very easy. The apartment was cleaned upon request and the hotel staff were all great. The pool and beach areas were great as well and very clean. The buildings are quiet and the apartment was very comfortable. I would most definitely stay again.

We have stayed here twice now. No frills, basic needs met. We did not spend a lot of time in the hotel. We loved the private beach area and pool. We did notice a large # of broken beach chairs. Housekeeping does a great job. Spent 2 weeks. AC went out in first room, so we were moved into another room. Quick response from front desk and maintenance. Hotel is within walking distance to great places to eat, Chedraui, and souvenir shopping. Felt safe and secure our entire stay.

We always enjoy our stay here. We love the beach area and lounging by the pool in the shade. The rooms are always perfectly clean. No complaints!

Location was excellent. Staff friendly; allows you to be self-sufficient by requesting services when needed. Pool was well maintained and clean. wifi - good.

Fantastic Accomodation. Right on the beach. Our kitchen was perfect. Staff is the best. Nice pool to cool off. Everything you need.

Great property for the price. Beautiful beach area, walkable to town square and many restaurants. Ice cold A/C in room, ocean view with chairs on balcony. Like others have said, the shower head needs replacing, not much pressure. Pool needs more water and more frequent cleaning, but I spent all my days at the beach, so the pool wasn't a big deal for me.

This hotel is located right by the sea. While the facilities are a bit dated, the daily cleaning keeps everything spotless. It offers excellent access to snorkeling spots and restaurants, with free beach chairs and an on-site swimming pool that made my stay truly enjoyable.

Great location, beach area excellent, nice swimming pool, restaurant is has nice menu and healthy options as well. Staff very nice.

Note that the hotel and beach club are separate properties with different receptions. Our shuttle dropped us off at the hotel and we had to haul our luggage to the beach club in pouring rain - no fun. The best thing about the beach club is the location. We were literally stepping from our room onto the beach. There are plenty of lounge chairs under palm trees. The beach is shallow with fine sand. We didn't have a big seaweed problem in January. It's a 10 min walk into town and there are tons of restaurants nearby. The food at the beach club was surprisingly good, esp. breakfast and dinner. On the downside, it is certainly a more dated place with limited amenities. The pool was cloudy but we prefer the ocean anyway. Our bathroom had a foul smell until I fixed the drain under the sink. The cleaning team did a good job daily. So, overall good value for money if you don't want to pay the hefty resort prizes, want easy beach and town access but can live with some compromises.

Hotel Posada Amor is a lovely decorated and quaint hotel right in the middle of the beach area of Puerto Morelos. In 30 seconds you are at the main square with children's playground and artisan's market on Friday and Saturday nights, bars and restaurants; another 30 seconds to the beach. The grapevine-covered main hall and the accent lighting in the evening is very romantic. There is a bar at the very front and the delicious Le Papillon restaurant is adjoined. Our room was located at the rear across from the free parking area and featured an outdoor dining table with gardens and accent lighting. The room was clean and had air conditioning and a cable television. There was also a coffee maker, fresh towels and toiletries. The shower water was very hot. There was a faint mildew odour upon arrival which soon dissipated once the air-conditioning and ceiling fan got the air circulating. The fan made an annoying clicking sound on one of the five speeds, but when adjusted the sound stopped. There was a mechanized on/off sound up on the roof during the night, likely from the water pump but it must have been because other tenants in the next-door rooms were having showers. The service manager Rafael speaks good English and was accommodating in providing a service for us when we wanted to send postcards but our flight was departing on Sunday morning and the post office was closed. When I return to Puerto Morelos I will stay here again.

The charm and friendliness we received at Hotel Posada Amor rivals all others for our week in Mexico! The charm engulfs you as you walk thru the grapevines above to the registration where they called me by my name! Our room had double beds and was clean and crisp! We only stayed one night there, but we came back almost every night to have THE BEST margarita in town! I met people from all over the world staying there for a night or two before moving on. The experience there was nothing but delightful! I highly recommend staying there for a night or two in your Mexican travels!

Understand our 5 rating. It is a simple "Mexican" hotel. If you normally stay at The Ritz or JW Marriott, this is NOT for you. But if you want a very basic, simple, clean and friendly place, you will feel right at home. I don't think you can get a bad meal anywhere in town. Great steaks at Al Chimicuri right across the street. Italian 100 feet south cooked by an Italian chef. Best fish tacos right off the NE corner of the square. Warmest people you will ever meet. Genuinely wonderful people everywhere we turned. Not happy here? Then THAT is on YOU!

The location is ideal -- just a short walk to the plaza and beachfront! We've been there twice now and though the rooms are basic (can't beat the price!), they're always clean and comfortable. The managers and staff are wonderful and friendly. This will be our hotel of choice whenever we visit Puerto Morelos!

The hotel has changed hands since we were last there, but it remains safe, friendly and affordable. The new owners have updated the beds and bedding, and added some nice art work and small things like art work. Also added are TV's, which we don't use.

Just to sum it up, in a nutshell, at the very beginning I was quite skeptical about this particular hotel and it's location, but since there's a shopping mall nearby, I actually found it quite amusing, fitness center was fine, but the AC was somehow off, for some reason and there were loads of mosquitoes outdoors, so gym was the best alternative in the evening, the swimming pool was 8 am to 8pm, quite comfortable, took a nap there and it was great. Breakfast was also absolutely fine, somehow odd that tea bags have been offered, but without hot water. The room came with an actual kitchen and a dishwasher, nice one.

The property had a full suite, and a beautiful pool, as well as a restaurant and bar… Not that many people staying here as there’s not much around, but great place to land before a flight out or if you had a conference

We stayed here for one night before our stay at Moon Palace. Friendly staff, nice pool, close to the airport. We walked across the street to the outlet mall which is very nice. Lots of taxis waiting nearby. It worked out great!

The pool and hotel were very cute. Very clean. The only thing that could have been better is if our food came out at the same time. I was done eating before the other order came out.

The room was clean and stocked with kitchen utensils. There's a restaurant, conference, library and pool onsite. Was able to get work done and relax.

The continental breakfast was pretty basic but it did the job. The main areas were nice as was our room. The pool area was nice a quaint. The staff were welcoming and a pleasure to do business with. If you get to Cancun a day early than your resort reservation than I highly recommend this hotel

I arrived to the maya train, i called the hotel to pick me and family up, they just instructed me to go to the airport, and they were the one who told me that there was a free bus from the train to the airport, (at the train stations no one helped me to try to figure the way, the taxi drivers were trying to rip us off taking us to our hotel and the lady in there who works for the maya train wouldn't give us any advice) once I was there in the Terminal 2 (like I said before, the shuttle hotel told us about the free shuttle from maya train to airport) they pick us up in no time.! It was great! Check in was fast, the hotel was very clean, modernized, free continental breakfast, i schedule the shuttle back to the airport, it was awesome, I recommend!

The amar Inn was fabulous ..excellent staff pool was so cool and refreshing ...it is very hot and humid this time of year the pool was a life saver..breakfast was delicious

We loved it here. Casita number 4, the pink little double was so nicely designed. The bathroom was beautiful, and the little room had everything we needed. Everything is so clean and I would have stayed here longer if it was available. The pool is so nice and refreshing but not for swimming just relaxing. The garden is amazing with some massive old trees and giant meandering palms. The staff was so friendly and attentive and spoke very good English. The proximity to beach access away from the main town was perfect, it's just steps from the entrance to the best spot in town. Breakfast was fresh and home made and delicious. I really like eggs for breakfast and can't eat bread so had to ask for some as they were only offering potato tacitos one day and bread with toppings the next. They were happy to whip me up some eggs with ham. A plate of fruit and yogurt to start which was fresh and delicious. Thank you. If I return to Puerto Morelos I will try and stay here for sure. Don't hesitate on this one.

My family had the most wonderful time at Hotel Amar Inn in Puerto Morelos. They provided everything we needed for the beach - chairs, towels, umbrella. Pool area had floaties for the kids, nice hammocks to relax in. We had a later flight going back home and were able to store our baggage for a few hours and stay at the property as much as we needed. Amazing breakfast which is a 3 course meal. Steps away from the beach. Amazing people that run the hotel. Would recommend to anyone without hesitation and will definitely be back. Thank you for everything!

we were delighted staying here! really chilled out vibe, with different areas to chill in the pool, hammocks and tables and only a second from the beach. Nico was really helpful and gave good dinner recommendations! the breakfast was fresh and a lovely start to the day. the bed was comfy and our room had a great shower. we even had two lovely iguana friends who lives near our balcony.

Ana was very responsive all the time, and Enrique who works at the property made sure we were always enjoying the place. Hammocks, pool, beach towels, lounges, all is in clean and available. It's part of a hard community so that have us a sense of safety too. Huge comfortable king bed. Great place to get away from the noise and enjoy peace and quiet. ¡Gracias por todo! I REALLY recommend this place if you want to enjoy a sandy beach, quiet atmosphere, and fantastic hosts.

Casa Kay is a PARADISE! The property was all what we needed: simple, furnished and on the beach! Isolated from the crowd, it gives you the space to reconnect and enjoy the sea!the kitchen has everything to cook a meal, and was perfect since Casa Kay is a little far from groceries or restaurants. Riger was bringing us some coconuts and that was very appreciated! The pool, even if small, was perfect when the sargassum started to be too much.

The location was exactly has described on Booking. It sits next to the beach and this was wonderful! The beach is cleaned every day and easy for swimming. There are nice transats and you can watch the emerald sea under the shadow. There is an external shower to clean after bad in the small swimming pool. Our habitation was very luminous and comfortable with large sliding doors equipped with mosquito nets so that we didn’t need to use the air conditioning at night. Also a very quiet place. The terrace is great for relaxing under the shadow provided by the coconut trees. We loved this place.

Location was beachside! It was literally steps to the shoreline. We loved looking out at the beautiful blue ocean waves crashing on the beach right off our balcony. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean waves was amazing. Our host Ana was very attentive to our needs. She was lightening quick to respond to all of our needs and inquiries.

This is a secluded stretch of the beach and we felt like we had it all to ourselves. Apart from the others renting nearby houses, there was nobody around, which feels a bit surreal now after having been to Tulum. Ana was very lovely and super helpful, making this the perfect place to relax and soak up the caribbean

Highly Recommended! Accommodation, Location, Hosting, Entertainment, Environment. Tranquility, Comfortable, spacious patio with pool 24/7 and outdoor exercise. Lots of stairs. Kitchenware including in room. AC/good New powerful. Beach observation from property, beach walk 1 minute. All best restaurants on the sidewalk 30 seconds to 1-one minute away it’s huge variation of it. Groceries 3 to 4 minutes walk. As Convenient store, ice cream chocolate coffee shop, Local Markets, Chedraui supermarket and Laundry services 5 minutes away on other side of street town. It’s Great location & Amazingly good I’m Totally relaxed.

it is a nice building by the ocean. 2 mins walk From the beach. very close proximity to the supermarket, restaurants, convenience stores. the rooms are small, but tidy. each room has a separate bathroom and a little kitchen corner where you can cook and make some coffee in the morning. there is a pool and hammocks at your disposal any time in the common areas. Señora Lucia is keeping everything clean but is also very sweet and personable.

The Casa is a wonderful old style Mexican hotel, nice clean rooms, a great deck with small pool for all to use and hang out in the afternoon or evening. Close to all stores, beach restaurants etc. What really makes Casa Valero a great place to stay is the manager/host Debra. If the owners are smart, they will give her a huge raise to make sure she stays for a long time. Loved our 2 weeks.

Deborah the site manager was amazing. She’s there to please her customer. If you need something or some information she will do what’s needed to help you. Great ocean view from the hotel patio and pool. Hotel was very clean and close to downtown. Some of the best restaurants in town were located five minutes away.

We absolutely love Abbey del Sol. This was our second visit, but it won’t be our last. The apartments are cute, clean, and modern. Our apartment was exactly how it was pictured on the listing. There is filtered water in each apartment. Linens, towels, toiletries, and a fully functional kitchen. Our room had umbrellas (which we needed) and beach chairs, beach bag, and beach towels (which we didn’t need). The property is safe with a locked gate. The courtyard and pool are idyllic. Our favorite part of both trips were the complementary bicycles!!! We love biking into the center of town, shopping at the grocery store, and visiting all the incredibly delicious restaurants. The staff were very responsive and easily available after-hours through WhatsApp. The in-room binder gives loads of useful information about the local area and tips and tricks for your visit. Without exaggeration, Abbey del Sol has been one of the best unexpected surprises of all of our travels. We are already planning our next stay - and looking forward to it!

Abbey del Sol is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. We stayed in abbey del sol for 4 nights at start of our Mexico trip and we loved it so much we came back on our last night of our trip. It is definitely the best hotel we stayed in during our Mexico travels and one of the best hotel we have ever stayed in. What makes this hotel amazing is the staff. They greet you with warm welcomes and treat you as a friend. Special shout out to Mary Ellen and Jin. They went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. Mary Ellen organised a great day snorkelling for us and the staff were very knowledgeable of great restaurants, activities and transportation! The hotel is walking distance to the beach and the area is quiet and tranquil, often we had the pool to ourselves! Puerto Morelos is a lovely little beach town and abbey del sol is a stand out hotel.

The apartment of Abbey da sol is fantastic, cozy, spacious and very nicely furnished. The bed is really extra large! The kitchen is really well organized and has everything you might need (even a blender 🤩. We had a small child with us and they even gave us a crib for him. The outside pool is really charming, with flower, plan trees and light. And last but not least, the staff is friendly and very helpful. Close to the beach, 15 Min walk to the main plaza. We're totally satisfied.

This is the second time I’ve stayed at ADS! I love everything about it from the lovely staff at the front desk, to the beautifully decorated and equipped rooms. The handmade beach totes are a great touch. The pool area and planting are so incredibly beautiful. It’s extremely clean and I’ve never had an issue with hot water. I appreciate the jugs of filtered water as well. I will book this place again and again.

This place is the perfect spot for a quiet, relaxing trip. We loved the pool and being just a block away from the beach. The bikes were a great way to get around, even though great food is walking distance. Upon arriving our hostess took her time to orient us and gave us plenty of helpful tips and advice that greatly enhanced our stay. We will definitely be coming back.
