Exquisite 1-Zimmer-Wohnung

The view was nice! The patio was good. The couch was comfortable. It was a good size apartment with a king size bed. The people at the guard gate were friendly.

After arriving at the facility, we retrieved the key card and keys out of the lock box. The key card did not work to get us past the gate to get to the front door. Fortunately, a resident at the apartment complex led us in. I immediately messaged the host and he said that he told the security team our problem. Two days later I messaged him again to see how it was going with the key card. At that point he gave us a code to punch in to get past the gate. Upon arriving at the apartment, we needed to sweep the floor inside the apartment and the patio. We swept up about a half a cup full of dirt and a cigarette butt. There was only one wine glass and it was broken. We knew the pool area was down for construction, but we were sad that we could not get to the workout room or pool tables.The garbage disposal did not work, making it hard for the kitchen sink to drain. I told the host about the problem and he said he would tell the maintenance team. He was always very nice in his text messages and said he wanted to do anything possible to make it a great stay for us, but he never followed up on our requests. We were without power for 24 hours because the host did not pay the electric bill. He never followed up to see if the power was back on or offer a flashlight or ice for the things in the refrigerator. He kindly offered to refund this one night's rent because we spent one day in the dark. He said that he had refunded us for the inconvenience. However, it never happened. Booking.com is trying to help us resolve the issue, but he refuses to honor his promise. We travel the world full time and this is the worst experience dealing with a host that we have encountered.
